"Great prices"
"I have shopped there for years"
"Hard to find staff in the store if you have questions"
Couldn’t make it to my usual Super C location due to finishing work too late before closing, so I went to this one. Good products, good prices, but left full cart behind when there were no cashiers at all, & the self checkout line was long. Before doing that, I asked an employee to open a register or I would leave the cart behind. I was told that after 9pm it was all self checkout. I said that it would be more beneficial for the store to process my items and collect money for them rather than having to put them back and get nothing for it. I was also told that an employee could help me at the self checkout, but I replied that I don’t want help, as I’m tired & just FINISHED working & would prefer having an employee process all of my purchases. Finally, when I said that I would be leaving the full cart behind, I was told that it was my choice to do that. I replied that no, it was the store’s choice to have the customers work for free. Note: the employee I was speaking to was doing nothing at the time I spoke to her. She was just standing at the service counter. I felt for her, as she was most polite and would have liked to have served me (& others, I’m sure). So sad when store managers care more to save a buck than to provide good customer service.
if you would like to experience a post-apocalyptic shopping experience this place is it .. it's dead drab with no atmosphere.. the chicken looks like by product from a bio disaster and I'd like to see the DNA verification on what they call salmon @.. they have a cashier at the self-service cash .. Doing nothing Just and idea ....'open cash 6" .. The shopping carts are great relics from the late 50s and the rust just adds a wonderful charm .. if you look into the icecream fridge you'll find an iceman .. note if you're shopping for veggies you have to get there before 803am .. cause the Grannies are there at 800am sharp and it seems that they are so happy squeezing the last bit of life out of the fruits And veggies.. 4* you ask .. well the parking lot is big and you can do donuts with out being looked at like your a nut job !!
Great prices... lots of stock ...items on sale always there... only problem is they always have only one or two cashiers working so it's slow... they have u scans but there long to use and confusing. But still one of the best grocery stores for price and availability..... On st jacques st west just west of Cavendish blvd Updated may 29 / 22 ... super c still has some of the best prices out of the 4 big grocery stores, always has items on sale in stock.... updated mar16/23... still super c has great prices and you got to love there 99 cent sales going on this week
I have shopped there for years. Compared to Costco, the parking is way easier, the lines shorter and the prices... CHEAPER. I have especially like Super-Cs regular specials and find with careful shopping, one can easily pay less. TAke advantage of quick sale, packaged specials in the aisles with overstock or slightly damaged goods, or a bit smushed produce. . A dent in a can does NOT mean the food is bad!
Hard to find staff in the store if you have questions. Sometimes not enough cashier and big line for self checkout. You can see that this place is trying to reduce staffing to a minimum. Sometimes products that I need end up out of stock. Sometimes beggars at the exit and been ask for money in the parking lot.. Overall Ok.
Maybe the place is tout dark or it could be something else but everytime I go there I feel inconfortable and looks dirty. Extra, now they put the self point to pay and if you have many things to pay there is not place to put what you scan and the machine is giving you errors all the time. I avoid usually going there
Comparing to the other stores of Super C, I found this one to be more organized, spacious with more variety of groceries. For economical shopper, it is a great place. Staffs are quite young and helpful but not very patient. The stores lacks a bakery department.
This is by far the worse super C. This is my second time i have been to the western union at super C and the service is garbage. Today i waited for almost 45 minutes just to send money. The service is very bad when sending money . They have
Seniors beware! My senior father was being followed around the store by two men. They had no groceries and proceeded to follow him out of the store. Right before exiting he confronted them and one said they were waiting for his mother. The
Always quick at check out. I hate that the cashier was rushing everything and I hated feeling pressure to try to pack and pay and then have people literally behind me me with items in the same section as myself. The cashier was indifferent
Very often working just 1 or 2 registers even its so many people waiting.. apart from that..NEVER to find push cart available..manager doesn't care to send the guy to push all carts from parking lot back to the front where we need it. I
Super C saves me money. Inflation is hitting us hard in our food budget and I simply pay way less at SuperC for meat, produce and 99% of everything else I need. The staff is helpful and their specials are always a great deal.
no sauerkraut, no pickled beats. how am I supposed to keep my fiber intake up and not be constipated. I'm just kidding, no but seriously I feel like those items should be at every grocery store unless I just didn't find them?
*Update: they dealt with them. THANK YOU!!! Now we can feel safer shopping here. I HAVE STOPPED GOING BECAUSE YOU GET HARASSED FOR MONEY GOING IN AND THEN AGAIN WHEN YOU LEAVE!!! Why doesn't management do something?!?
It's a very spacious Super C with tons of parking and many cashiers available but the place is starting to show its age. The store needs to be cleaned more often. I often find lot of trash at the entrance.
Hard to find someone who works on the floor, also when you ask someone where to find something workers don't really know where the items are and if they do they point in a direction instead of showing you
Love this store. Their fruits and vegetables are reasonably priced compared to other grocery stores. The store has a wide variety of produce in each aisle. You really get your money's worth in groceries.
The biggest supermarket in Montreal has the lower price than any other supermarket and big variety of fresh food Cheese, olives, fruits, vegetables, frozen food and more meats fish in all kinds
Not many bargains to be had. Even bottled water $3.50, tomatoes 99c a lb though, great buy. Lots of parking available and a good time to go shopping, store empty of people.
Very fresh products, lots of choices, I like the layout of the store, the prices were very good compared with other supermarkets, I will be going back.
On of the oldest Super C around. This location needs renovation badly. The restroom that they have available for the customers are discuting.
Not good for tourists. There is no service in english and the cashier didn’t make any effort to try to help, only said: “français, svp”.
This is a good store in general for buying grocery stuff. However, for returning, I expected a better customer service.
I like this store for its low prices. But sometimes the goods under special offers are missing on the shelves.
Good grocery store with affordable prices.. You never disappoint shopping this store and at Maxi.
They came through with the rain cheques, so here is your five star review. Good store.
Old lady working at the self checkout made me uncomfortable. (13h10) 2023/08/23
I did my shopping there and I got what I was looking for at reasonable prices
Good prices especially on produce. Well stocked & friendly staff.
The fruit and vegetable selection are always fresh, well priced
Always have fresh produce in stock at very reasonable prices.
On most products lower prices than other big market chains.
Out of all the Super C’s I’ve been to, this one’s the tops.
Fruits and meats are at very good prices.
Fresh variety of product and very clean
Good prices but a lot of empty shelves.
Big variety of specials and very clean
One of my favorite place for shopping
