Don’t shop here.. the food is not fresh covered up by lots of salt..,, zIf you get the chicken in time the barbecue it’s ok but sometimes it’s like dry and stale,,, The store is often filthy … staff are arrogant..rude sexiest and come a cross as if they only like the customers from their country and race… I have been traumatized by the way I was treated… I sacred .. If you are dark brown don’t shop here they are racist. Keep your money. I would give them a zero. My human rights were violated here …. don’t shop here … Someone was buying lottery tickets and they were short of money so I provided the change… the cashier refused to accept an American quarter and was alarmed we gave him an American quarter. So we said that American coins are accepted here in Canada it’s ok … He was really in disbelief . This triggered the intervention of the supervisor and I was subjected to evil looks from both the cashier and the manager who appeared in a state of Emmergency because there is an American coin There was a nickel left over so I said keep it in case the next person is short. The manager took the coin and threw it in the garbage in front of me. Do not shop at Adonis if you have American coins So I went back in and bought chicken and a drink for a homeless person outside their door what a shame the coin is in the garbage. I asked the supervisor for the coin she said it’s in the garbage and she passed the garbage can to me placing it on the counter where you have food and I took my coin then she refused to give me the food I bought with my debit card then called the security guard I had bought for the homeless woman outside their grocery door. I didn’t need it as I was at an amazing Serbian barbecue today. So the homeless guy starved tonight and I got robbed out if the food I paid for because the cashier was upset he got an American quarter legitimate currency in Canada Now why does he not know that?
EDIT: March 2020. I have now been to Adonis +100 times and I think I can provide a better review. As a whole, I get a sense they are cheap.. For example, they offer student discount on Mondays and Tuesdays BUT you have to ASK for it. They do not offer it if you do not ask nor do they adjust after if you forget. Parking: Free parking but has an island at the entrance which makes entering and exiting challenging. Has damaged many cars. Fruits: There are a lot of options but the quality is not great. For example, oranges look like they were frozen for a while before being put to purchase. Hot-food: No complains. Delicious and good price. Meat: Quality-wise, they are OK, but they do not seem to care much about halal and non-halal, if that is something you care about. For example, They offer halal cold-cuts...but they slice them using the same machine they use for non-halal cuts! Customer service/management: I have had mixed results. They returned a bad meat with no questions asked once and I was happy. But then another time, I saw a manager yelling at one of the cashiers for supposedly not charging the customer for plastic bags (The cashier HAD charged but because they had scanned items after the bags, it had gone up on the screen and was not visible). Overall, would I avoid Adonis? It's tough to say, but it would not be my first choice. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 years ago review: Lots of options with very good prices. Management is super friendly. Never disappoints.
I recently visited Adonis Grocery Market, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. First and foremost, the workers at the store were not friendly or welcoming. Moreover, the store was overly crowded, and the limited space made it quite challenging to navigate through the aisles. It felt more like a chaotic bazaar than a grocery market. The constant jostling and difficulty in finding the items I needed made the shopping experience frustrating and time-consuming. To my disappointment, I also witnessed people eating fruits within the store. This not only violated basic hygiene practices but also contributed to the overall unpleasant atmosphere. It gave the impression that the store prioritized maximizing income over maintaining cleanliness and adhering to proper food handling practices. The overall atmosphere of Adonis Grocery Market gave the impression that they were solely focused on making more sales rather than providing quality service or ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for their customers. It felt like customer satisfaction and convenience were not a priority for them. Considering these factors, I cannot recommend Adonis Grocery Market. The unfriendly staff, crowded and cramped environment, and lack of attention to quality and service all contribute to a disappointing experience. I would suggest exploring other grocery markets in the area that prioritize customer satisfaction and offer a more pleasant shopping environment.
Don’t go here if you have kids. Aucun signe d'empathie. Pas d'excuses. Je n'y retournerai pas. —— I was there this morning with my almost two year old. They did not have shopping carts with the seat for kids. I had to place my son in the upper basket of the cart. Not only it is unsafe but try telling a 2-year old to stay seated for the whole time her mum is grocery shopping. Two employers were kind enough to go look for one but did not find any. On my way out I asked to speak with the manager. She said "we do not have carts gor kids". No signs of empathy. No apologies. Will not go back.
The manager named Sanaa who works at this location is probably one of the most unprofessional, rude, and bigoted people I have met in my life. She’s not only rude to customers, but rude to her workers as well. I have noticed multiple times that she does not treat her employees well. Always yelling, being mean and rude to them and I have been visiting this store since late 2014. I’m just not sure how Adonis can allow such behaviour from their store employees let alone a manager. A manager is supposed to be helpful and caring to their employees and customers. It’s simple that the management probably don’t care about taking an action with her or maybe it’s personal/beneficial reasons. I’m a regular customer at this store and I come buy food almost 5 times a week and I have never seen her smile at me or any other customer. Always rude, always have a bad attitude with her employees. I hope someone from Adonis head office sees this review and try to investigate her. This is very unprofessiona
It always feels dirty and disorganized when I go. Especially the fruit and vegetable section. However their baked goods are seriously the bomb and customer service is generally top notch. Our regular butcher was not there today and the guy who was there almost sold us meat that was not Halal. Luckly we asked and we were able to get Halal meat from the back. They offer a student discount, but it is not good for all things and sometimes the emplyees will lie and say there is no discount because they do not feel like dealing with it. Other times it can take several minutes to get the discount applied as there seems to only be one card for approvals. Prices tend to be higher than most other grocery stores, but you can find many items that you can not find at your regular grocery store. All in all, I do like going there, but try not to buy my staples from there. Just try to keep it to the special things you can not find elsewhere.
I’m truly not impressed with this place. It’s so disgusting. I’ve been going there for maybe 2 years now, and at first when it opened it was great, but quickly after, the quality declined drastically! Every time I go there now, I’m seeing rotten foods or produce still being sold, and even at a price much higher than other supermarkets (why!? What is their reasoning for their prices when their stuff isn’t even so great when it’s not even rotten!?)not even at a discount so that you’re aware of it. The quality control is appalling, it’s two times now I bought expired food without realizing it. The bathrooms are filthy ALL THE TIME, the kitchen area is a dump most of the time, and now the last thing I bought from their “restaurant” area and ate from there made me sick. I think I’ve had it at this point... I will not be going back, not even to buy nuts. They’re so gross.
ADONIS downtown has the worst customer service and the highest prices. Items on "special" are available only during a couple of days after distribution of its flyer, shelves are empty and when inquiring, the response is that there is no more. It is a recurrent situation. Today I've asked for a rain check on 4 containers of cottage cheese, I was told that the maximum for a rain check is 3 items, although there was no mention of that on the shelf. The attendant had an attitude, she was rude, arrogant, impolite and raised her voice at me. It is as if ADONIS downtown is reluctant to allow the customers to make the most of the items on special ! I advise everyone to check out PA on Fort street, a few steps east of ADONIS. Unbeatable prices, great quality and exemplary customer service. ADONIS sayonara !
2022-12-24 The reason why a lot of people were coming after you closed at 5pm, was because on Google, while others were closed, your location was open. People were happy, relieved, specially on this date, that you were open. Only to arrive disappointed, after commuting in that kind of weather, and then one of the staff opens the door, from the outside to go in and was rude enough to ignore everyone just wanting to know if indeed it was close, people were confused because on the right side of the entrance, in bright red lights, the opening hours says closing at 19:00. From the amount of people showing up after 5, you should not neglect your online presence, at least have the decency to address people outside, cold, confused and hungry. We're not strangers, we're patrons.
Update may 2022, when there is a promotion, they downgrade the quality, like when there is an offer on extra lean beef, it's not as good as before the offer, it's just lean meat, Down to 2 stars Update, great management team, some employees need more training, I have noticed an improvement in the store, . It used to be 5 stars , not anymore, quality, service is going down day by day. I reccomed you check the expiration date on every item. The cheese, and meat section is still good. The store still gets 5 stars for cleaning Underground parking is available for free, and five minutes street parking is available infront of the store... Handicapped accessible. Down graded to 3 stars ***** Box of kubeh, says 12 pieces and it actually has 8**** Photo attached
This is probably the grimiest Adonis I’ve visited. Compared to the Chomedey location this place is a shock. Considering it’s part of a new condo high rise I’d expect better. Thankfully free indoor parking is available but the lot is very small and not easy to maneuver, if you drive an SUV good luck. The elevator area from parking to the store is very dirty, it’s not well maintained, old flyers on the ground, lots of flies, floor isn’t clean. Compared to the IGA on Cote St Luc rd, also under a new condo, it’s like day and night. The market has a wide variety of produce and goods, true to form. The hot food station is quite limited, again comparing it to the Laval location. All in all good if you’re in a bind but I wouldn’t make it my go to for grocery shopping.
update it' s a shame , at the cooked food, price became 16$ +taxe for a plat du jour and salad, that is 18$ , unbelievable, are you people crazy ??? how is this possible ? inadmissible, ça ne vaut pas ce prix la, bande de voleurs , vous n'avez plus de honte Good products in the store but BAD BAD attitudes of the employées , especially at the restaurant for serving cooked food . They look always annoyed , in a bad mood , serve you in a rush or dont pay attention , very unpleasant to deal with these people . why are you staying hère in Québec if you dont like your life hère, or go elsewhere if you dont like your type of work ,cause it shows on your attitude . plus prices waaay to high , this store should be penalised
I love Adonis so much that it pains me to give a 2 star review. The place is wonderful with so many fresh and prepared foods, a delectable hot food counter (go early!) , deli, prepared meats, incredible olive and feta bars, never-ending baklava counter...I could go on and on except that the last 3 times I bought "fresh" salmon from the meat counter it was bad, so bad I had to throw it out. It tasted like metal and was very bitter; I researched it online and the taste resembled the description for fish poisoning even though it smelled fine. So just a warning, be careful of the fish at the fish counter, and ask when it was brought in. Other than that, enjoy, because it is an amazing grocer.
The market is not as clean as some but not sparkling or fancy. The cooked food in the front looked ok, with always a line. The fruits with also mid In appearance but the veggies looked fresh and appealing. The bakery department was laid out well if you have a sweet tooth. I also liked the affordable prices especially in the juice case. The juice I brought home was delicious! The veggies were nice as well. The grapes, apples and lemons were acceptable but the peaches even though still were a bit under ripe had a slight brown tint in the flesh part. Also very little flavor. They were cheap but I would have paid more for quality. I’ll return for certain items next time.
I like this place because of its free parking in downtown and easy access to other areas. The supermarket is clean and well organized. It is famous for its Arabian products, and especially halal meats, but you can find all types of proteins and everything else from all nations there. There are different vegetables, fruits, prepared hot foods, salads, diaries, proteins, fisheries, and ordinary house groceries such as dressing, bread, pickles, detergents, etc. The cool thing is that it has a big bakery that freshly bakes cakes, birthday and party cakes, and baklava. Also, it sells fresh sea foods: salmon, shrimp, etc. Prices are affordable.
I was shopping for my grocery on Sunday 12 Dec 2021 around 1h pm I did have a horrible experience with u security guard however he didn't want me to know his name It was a about my grocery cart. Hi absolutely won't me to live it at the entrance. I shops at Adonis wants a week and I never had this problem before. Specifically today I had a bag in it with a medication for my sick friend which I purchased before I came to you store. I am so disappointed Hi ask me to live the store. I left the grocery with him and I left I just want you to know what employees u have. I don't think I will ever come back to you store.
This review would be 5 stars except for the terrible delivery service. The quality, selection and prices are great but the delivery service is unreliable. I've ordered groceries through the website a few times. Half of the time they never confirmed the order and the groceries never came. The most recent time, they called to confirm that the order was being prepared and would arrive that day and it never did. They also told us they don't do deliveries on Saturday, but the groceries arrived on the following Saturday. Their system seems completely disorganized. I won't be using the delivery service anymore.
Went in there the other day to buy some Chicken Shish Taouk brochettes, that are supposedly already packaged and prepared, they had none, the person at the meat counter told me maybe in 2 days. Wanted to buy some Kibbee balls that were on special for $ 5.49, no more left. Their small pita bread at 89 cents weren't that fresh, probably trying to sell the day before bread, before putting fresh ones. Employees at the cheese and take out counter were friendly and eager to serve clients, while the employee at the nuts section, had his back towards the client. All in all, mediocre service, and expensive.
Adonis Downtown is a nice, clean place, easily accessible from Atwater metro. Lots of multicultural products. Some products are pricier than in other groceries in the neighborhood. There are three things that makes me come back often: First, the grill department with their delicious prepared foods. Some meals are really cheap, and will be enough to serve 2-3 people. Second, the meat counter, especially when there's great discounts. There's a lot of marinated meats if you don't want to deal with seasoning. And last, the deserts. Lots of choices, there's a whole counter for them.
Worst grocery store in the history of grocery stores. - I bought Camembert. When I opened the package, the cheese was BROWN. - I bought chicken breast. When I opened the package, it smelled like YEAST INFECTION. - Some of their deli meats have abnormal colours. Have you ever seen BROWN salami? - Most dry food items are overpriced. 5$ for a small pack of regular lentils? - While I was paying, the manager was screaming on the poor cashier and spitting on my fresh fruits while barking at her. I had to double rince them at home. I’ll go to IGA or Supermarché Du Fort next time ❤️
I'm disappointed at the quality of the BBQ chicken and the size of the servings of the prepared meals lately. I think they don't train the new staff enough. I used to order shawarma plates and the price made sense. Now, you pay 12 bucks for a small serving of rice, garlic potatoes and some chicken or beef (4-5 bites).. Today, I bought some drumsticks and they were all dry and really small. Sometimes they're good and other times, It feels like they dropped the salt on them, that's how salty they are.. Anyways, they lost a good customer. I'll go to P.A. instead.
Be careful. They don't have exchanges & return policy for fruits & vegetables. Maybe even for regular products as well. ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION ON RECEIPT AND WEBSITE !!! I bought 2 big watermelons that cost around 20$ each on Friday. We cut one on Saturday and it was tasteless, more like grass, not sweet and juicy. I wanted to return 2nd watermelon on Monday and the cashier with the supervisor both told me they can't take it because 48hours have passed since the purchase. I messaged the head office and no answer for 5 days. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Checked the flyer every week, you can always find something cheaper than any other stores. Yesterday I bought the chicken leg which is on promotion but the price is not the same as the flyer. I asked the cashier she said it was not the same thing, then I took it since the price was okay. But I checked the receipt, there showed the discounted unit price. I asked other stuff and manager came. The manager gave me fully refund. Maybe that’s because Thursday is the first day of their promotion and the chicken leg was packed and priced yesterday.
Pretty good for a wealthy country as far as actually finding reasonably priced meat, as well as some vegetables. Everything else is quite pricey, but we only go there for the meat specials, which can be quite good. If you have been spoiled your whole life or never lived in a 3rd world country you will likely be shocked at the poor customer service, long lines and "rugged" environment. My wife and I really like it, we just wish they would be some what competitive on their other items. If it's not meat, expect a 50% mark up or more.
Unfortunately, my experience was also a bad one. I agree with the bad client service and the rudeness of the Cashiers. Dunno what their HR is at, but like they are hiring people with inferiority/ superiority complex or something. The vibe they give makes you just want to leave. I also agree with the bad hygiene comments. I ate their Mouloukhieh Dish, a Lebanese stapple food apparently, and ended up with a nasty 2 days diarhia . I was a regular before it was sold to Metro. Now I will just avoid any Adonis.
We live in the same building of this shop, and it's a blessing for sure. Big selection of fruits and veggies. The meat and fish counters are full with great choices. They also cook/grill your fish if you want (takes 45 min)... they have hot and ready food counter that's usually busy and also a place for you to sit and eat/rest. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. I think they offer free indoor parking, but not quite sure. The prices are generally cheaper than IGA that's one block away from here.
This place is not clean at all. It's always a chaos all over the place you can never walk around the market properly. There is never any fresh meat in the meat section it's always empty even the section where you can buy by the pound the meat looks gross like it's been there for days outside. I don't know what happened to this place it use to be great and clean and it downgraded drastically for a while now. The supermarkets in Lebanon are cleaner then this place. Will not be returning to this location.
It’s always clean. Staff is always friendly and generous. Food is fresh, well maintained and at always a good price. What I liked most about this store are the products that cannot be found at other supermarkets: such as the vast choice of fresh and delicious cakes (single piece or multiple people), marinated meat, fresh fish (the way they cut it and wash it in front of you), Mediterranean food, salads and many other products. I strongly and highly recommend this store.
Garbage the all dry not eatable, waste of money the should be ashamed selling that to people so dry old , bad bad bad so cheap place not worth it to go against n not even if it’s the only choice on earth so disgusted they are selling the product like that that should go to garbage and sell a fresh one , shame on Adonis for selling that it was a gift to show how the Lebanese sweet is good but I was ashamed , advise to never buy sweet as a gift from that location .
Tried their delivery service, you give a detailed list of the products you want to be included and someone is supposed to call you back. So the first time many items were added that I did not order. All the fish items were spoiled. Some of the other meat items were spoiled. Fruits came absolutely unripe. Decided to give it another chance. Got a call from the store, it rang twice and they hung up, didn't leave a message or a number and never called me back.
This location is horrible. They leave expired food in the display cases. They never give the specials when they are in the flyer you have to watch every transaction. They staff is not helpful and actually rude. Produce is usually not fresh nor is the fruit nothing lasts more than a day when you buy it from there. I won’t go back again I have been many times but always the same. Too bad it is good chain of stores but thé St Catherine’s store sucks big time
I occasionally go to this place for my fruit & vegetable needs because I live in NDG so I used the public transportation which is convenient to me and the price is competitive, not to mention of being close to the Alexis Nihon mall. There's also bakeries, fish shop & butcher sections if you want your cakes, fishes and fresh meats respectively. Can be crowded but you have enough room to pack your purchases. Awesome international-style grocery store.
Adonis used to have a great selection of produce, nuts and cheeses at good prices but that is no longer the case. The cashiers are unprofessional and incredebly rude (if their mothers could see how they speak to customers!...). The young "manager" is even more arrogant, doesn't speak a single word of French and displays exactly zero competence to be in change of more than taking out the trash. PA, just around the corner, is a much better choice.
On aime ça!! Vraiment good job.
Good variety of products, you can find most stuff that you need on a daily basis. My favorite sections are the fruits and vegetables and cheese. They also serve food cooked in place, which is good, but does not change frequently, so you get tired of it soon. The meat section is also good, specially if you're looking for something easy to prepare for 1-2 persons. Bakery is a bit disappointing and desserts look good but are not great.
I used to buy shwarma plate everyday but from last two months, the people behind the counters are just rude of no reason. They charge you more and sometimes the roti or hummus is missing. On top of that, when you go to cashier, everyone is always in bad mood and are rude. They dont have a curtesy to even smile and if any confusion in price occurs, they just refuse to sell that. Very bad customer service!
The employees at Adonis are never friendly. I really only ever went there for dried limes to make Persian stew but they don't even carry those anymore. It's cramped with narrow aisles and it's always packed, making it an unpleasant experience. Épicerie du Bazaar a few blocks away is a more pleasant experience and they carry dried limes, so I am glad to have found a closer, nicer place to get them.
I like this store. Mostly for their beef and fish variety. However I've noticed I have to regularly be checking on the expiration date of products. I've found myself buying products that are way beyond their expiration date. Attention and service are good, not above and beyond though. One thing I really like is the ease of parking, they give about an hour free for purchases of more than $50.
It's just ok. I much prefer other local grocery stores. Fruits and vegetables are hit and miss, sometimes fresh but usually not so. Meat doesn't normally look great. Service can be improved (big reason for the 2 stars)... You feel like you're bothering them when you need to ask for something. Indoor parking is great, but can be busy. Always long lines to pay because not enough cashes open.
Adonis has been one of my favorite markets here in Montréal, and that's because of the quality, the selection, the variety, and much more. Lately, however, I have noticed a notable difference in prices, as they are now higher. I understand that everything is getting expensive, but at the same time, it should be reasonable. I hope that Adonis will return to my old beautiful Adonis.
Great place to go for ethnic/middle Eastern food. It's nice to get things that you wouldn't find in your standard North American grocery store. The produce is often of good quality but not cheap, well not as cheap as the PA right down the street. Its about the same cost as you will find in IGA a few blocks over. Very small organic section with limited choices. A solid 4 out of 5.
Too crowded unfortunately. Worse, there were not enough cashiers that were open. Frustrating. The same was true with the deli agent, who was taking care of cheese section as well why the clients were all waiting. Did not like that. Seems like a poor management issue. Also, they don't clean the handles of the carts, at least not visibly. That raised serious concerns in my mind.
Good price overall in the vegetables, fruits and western cheese section. Pricey here and there (e.g. Orange juice). Great choice of middle-eastern/Lebanese goodies. I would give an extra star if the service improves. It all depends who you fall into for the service but you can wait minutes at a counter to be served, the employees see you but don't move their butt to help!
Most of the things here are expired or about to expire, you can buy things you will use the same day but I wouldnt wait much longer than that. Its really unfortunate...Ive brought things back here that were expired for MONTHS the manager didnt even ask me for a receipt he was so embarassed. The prices are good for herbs but not for meat and even bottled products.
Staff extremely rude Security very agressive Cashier for the express items (6 items) Was not following protocol and three of us with one had to wait while this lady had a full shopping cart. ( 20 plus items) Im going to call the police for how abusive they were. Night manager said we can do whatever we want!!!! Young girl with ni customer service
Good place to get all you grocery needs, especially the middle eastern stuff. The place seems a little dirty and needs cleaning, especially with the current situation. People do NOT respect social distancing at all in this place and there’s no one limiting the number of people going in so it’s overcrowded, which is why I stopped going for now.
Happens too often that they charge you more at the register than the price displayed on the shelf. Many more times than once for me personally in the past year. Fruits and veggies hit or miss. Meat never looks great. Selection is not bad in general, but selection of middle eastern option seems to have gone down in the last year or two.
Nice food market. Great selection of products you don't find in other chain grocery stores. The olives sections is great and the products are always fresh. The ready-to-eat counter services hot, delicious food. There's a small eating area also. The alleys are tiny so you need to be patient and squeeze through the crowd.
Our fave for produce at unbeatable prices. Their sales are amazing! Free parking. Right across from Atwater metro stop. Close to Alexis Nihon. Staff are always nice. Check out is quick even when lines are long. Meat section always smells terrible though so we don't buy any meat here. Check out staff are generally fast.
I usually love this place... just bought a cooked lobster from there, the lobster tail was empty! I will try to attach some pictures so that you can understand... it's surprising that the person who arranged the lobster in the box didn't noticed it... As it is far from my place, tried to call them, no answer...
Super fresh fish, meats, and produce at very attractive prices. A++. This store and PA Supermarche should be your two main stops before going anywhere else. There nuts, cheese, and dessert section is quite nice. Staff is super friendly and nice on the eyes as well -- makes shopping even more pleasant.. :)
The store feels clean. Their products are well-priced, and you'll occasionally catch a great deal in the dairy, deli, salad or pastry sections! I've only had a poor experience with one cashier, so I just avoid her and don't make more of a deal out of it. The staff is generally quite helpful and polite.
I like the fact that they offer free indoor parking up to 1h, since the location is downtown. But I have to say, that it was a bit dirty for a grocery store. The vegetables didn't seem fresh to me. I personally wouldn't buy them. Only purchased spice. I don't think I'll be coming back to this Adonis.
Adonis tends to have better quality fresh produce (vegetables, fruits, and meat) a great variety of cheese, olives and nuts and good prepared meals and ethnic items. However, the downtown location is a bit pricier than the other Adonis but it has a small underground parking which is a nice bonus.
Love Adonis, great prices, so many choices. I love to go here for cheeses and meats. Also can find lots of stuff here that traditional grocery stores don't have. Definitely do need to check the fruits and veges properly, but the same can be said for most grocery stores. Good halal selection also.
Disrespectful mask enforcer that works there screaming and cursing because mask was below the nose. This arrogance was disgusting. I used to shop here with hundreds of dollars a month and now will never enter this store again. Get more intelligent and better people that can respect clients.
Large choice of food and open during the holiday period. I also enjoy their caterer section and their salads. They have underground parking but you can stay at most one hour, don’t abuse it. What’s bad is the meat section that is smelly I don’t know why. Worst italian sausages ever.
I bought spoiled fish from there in winter and last night, after thawing marinated chicken for a day in the fridge, it smelled so bad. I did not return the first batch of three different spoiled fish but will return the chicken. They’d better reimburse me. No more shopping there…
Good selection of products , good location , but ,,, rude staff , you should be grateful to be allowed to bother them & one cashier open with a huge line of customers . Bad day perhaps ? Bravo " Metro " ! PA is close by , friendly staff & more than one cashier on duty .
Always has good sales and prices are excellent on fruits and vegetables , always busy and also a nice take out meal section.... located right next to old Montreal forum... would be nice if there was one in ndg maybe on sherbrooke street.... I'm sure it would do great
Your cashiers (especially Shirin M) need to control their micro aggressions and understand that they should be respectful and friendly to everyone not just Arabs who are hetero presenting. But I can’t expect much from people like that anyways for obvious reasons.
Old, stale, and horribly baklava and nuts. We visited 10 years ago and end everything was so fresh. We went a week ago, bought tons of stuff, and returned to the US only to find out that everything was stale and so not fresh. Beyond disappointed and never again.
It was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised. It had quite a nice variety of groceries, love their fresh cheese section. They have a dry fruit section. You have a butcher and nice selections of desserts. Marinated meat is available for quick dinners.
The worse supermarket I've ever been to. I wanted a shawrama chicken. Worker told me 25 mins and rheb after that, he mentioned he had a big order to do. Service is rude, the workers don't complete my order. How this place stays I business u do t understand.
10% off for students. Wide variety of everything, not so many appliances, but there're kitchen gadgets and items! Always having offers and discounts. The only thing I didn't like was lack of organization, gotta search aisle after aisle for what you want
Come for the extremely fresh produce. Stay for the excellent specialty foods. Their hummus and pita is made daily. Their ready to eat has daily deals with proportions to make you fall asleep at work. Theres a reason why a major chain bought them out.
This is the best grocery store near Atwater Ave for fresh produce and fresh meat. Prices are very reasonable. Also good for bulk purchases like nuts, dried fruit, and cheese. Just bought some amazing baklava and Mamoul. I love the Arabic patisserie.
Check your checks. This is my second case. Instead of 0.5 kg, 5 kg were punched. Or they take double the cost. The first time I saw it on the spot. Corrected. The second time seen only at home. You won't go back and fix it. The amounts were small.
Good selection but they had a hell of a time ringing up groceries for people in front of me, and then me. It slowed the line down to an absolute crawl. I was unable to leave with everything in my basket. Never seen this before at a grocery store.
There was no service at the butcher's counter. Even if you take a number to be called when it's your turn, they didn't even use that system. The staff only looked at clients instead of serving them. You had to yell at them to be served.
I like it. Clean. Decent selection of produce. Great selection of cheeses, meats, nuts olives, etc. Can't comment on quality of the meats but the rest are good. Service is usually quick and helpful. Lines arent too long. Great sales.
Great store with the taste of middle east! Employees are polite and nice. The food is very fresh and tasty. I tried the Souvlaki sandwich and it was delicious! They also have great deals on some products. Students get 10% discount.
Cashier gave me attitude because she didn’t want to break a bill. Not the first time. If you don’t want to be there, stay home. Note to management: who you hire shows what kind of person you are. Maybe you’re in the wrong industry.
Inventory: 10/10, Place 10/10, Staff: 10/10 Details: great place for your Lebanese groceries, but has a diverse inventory too. Offers wraps such as shawarma, taouk etc. They have as well some Lebanese dishes such as mloukhieh.
Needs to be cleaned more often! The entrance is not very inviting. Asides from that, it has a good selection of items. Also, get self serve cashes or have more cashiers on staff…always seem to wait excessively to chashout..
A little pricey but great place for a meal if you're a student! You get 10% off on everything if you show your student ID and the food taste pretty decent! They have a great selection for halal and fresh products as well!
It's accessible and next to saint Catherine near to saint Catherine street. One can buy all groceries from here. For students they also give 10% discount. It's just opposite to LaSalle College. It closes at night 8 pm.
Great grocery downtown, prices are good (not the best) but you will be able to find a large selection of products. Veggies and Meat are always fresh. Nice also to grab something on the go, love their prepared meals!!
You won't all your grocery needs there unless it's vegetable and/or cheese related. They have so many types of cheese. Place is usually clean. Staff are not that helpful. Prices are average to high. Service was fast.
