I am impressed (and embarrassed that I only recently discovered this place). Mos def recommend. I’m a born and raised Montrealer; I’m familiar with this strip of Westmount but I never set foot in here simply because to the storefront sign is a little “bleh” and terms like “gourmet grocer” / « épicerie fine » translate in my biased mind to “overpriced, overdone”. Then a local business owner and friend of mine said this place is a gem so I tried it out. How wrong my outside impressions were: The staff were particularly kind, chipper, and considerate; the fruits and veggies were, like, REALLY fresh, robust, healthy, luxuriant; the snacks and beverages and condiments were artisanal-but-not--artisanal (and mixed with a few mid-tier staple brands); the vibe was quaint, unpretentious, customer-centric. And, drum roll please… the prices were fair! They have a salad lunch bar I have yet to try but I’m looking forward to it. Hats off to the owner and management. Westmount needs a place like this.

Last review by Sarah is total b.s. I witnessed it firsthand, she was a total westmount Karen who berated staff for no reason and showed what raw entitlement looks like. This place is FANTASTIC, the staff is hard working, and the food is consistently delicious. Another plus is that the manager seems to value the well-being of his staff and doesn’t let customers walk all over them, while also prioritizing good customer service. A key balance. Couldn’t ask for anything more from a beloved local gem

This is my go to place for the best salads, they are so fresh and such great value! I have also had their poke bowls and it they are really great compared to some others I've had. Their fresh salsa is delicious too! The staff is friendly and I order take-out sometimes too and the orders are always perfect - no mistakes. They really are great at what they do - thanks National for the best lunches !

Calm, covid compliant, and welcoming staff helped me forage for meringue powder, ground cloves, and ground allspice. Sadly, everyone else was interested in the same products and they were sold out. This family business takes a winter holiday until mid January every year. Despite this, they maintain loyal clientele because they are so welcoming.

I hate to break it to everyone in the comment section, but this place is absolute TRASH. I used to love it here, but ever since Covid, they went downhill. Staff is extremely arrogant and disrespectful. Produce is NOT fresh. I found a hair in my sushi and the tuna was NOT fresh. I highly DONT recommend.

I had to send my Mother an order of groceries because of her Vertigo and the store manager was very responsive, kind, understanding and extremely professional. During this pandemic and my Mother’s health issue, I am very grateful for Amy who took care of me. Thank you so much!!!

This store rocks! It is a go-to destination every week. Best quality of fruit, super salads, and many unique products that you do not find anywhere else. Even my friends that do not live near now ask me to pick up orders for them from National. It is an institution, I love it!

WOW - forgot to put fish in my Poké bowl! When I called the store to resolve the problem (and super politely), I was told they never served me and hung up the phone. As a long-time customer, what horrible customer service. Disappointing, rude, and disrespectful.

Client here since 2015, I love this place! It's so unique and well kept. Hard working staff and I'm happy to see that they seem to get great work/life balance with the days off and vacation time. Amazing offer and food quality, BEST SALADS in MTL !!!

Agréable petite épicerie de quartier. Super comptoir de mets pour emporter. Essayez leur salade d'edamame ! Employés très serviables. Par contre les lieux sont un peu défraîchis et en manque de rénovation !

Very underwhelming, I know it’s a smaller grocery store but when you think of fine groceries you think of a nice interior, clean shelves. This is westmount after all, and this does not fit the expectations

Wide variety of products. Fruits and vegetables are top quality. Amazing choice of salads with wide assortment to garnish the way you like it. Oh and out of this world vinaigrettes to choose from.

Great freshness for everything from fruit best in town to salad bar at a good price, the staff is very professional. I work closeby and its a mainstay for all employees, we love it there

Family owned and operated. Beautiful deli counter with all sorts of salads and lunch items. Shelves are stocked with nice imports and health food products. Really good produce.

I like this place. Kinda crammed and it feels like a store straight out of a market, but they have everything and their sushi selection is great.
