Dr Litchfield, the one time out of 3 visits I was able to see him, was friendly and very professional. But please believe me and ALL these other reviews that the front desk and appointment experience is the absolute worst I have experienced out of any healthcare provider, and it really is not worth your time. First visit: arrived 15 min to appt time early as asked, paid my copay in advance online. 30 min later I asked what the ETA was, staff said 'soon'. After 50 minutes I ask again, as I had only blocked out so much time from my work calendar, and I'm told 'oh it's gonna be AT LEAST another hour, we're behind.' Excuse me? Almost a 2 hour wait from when you tell patients to come in? I wanted to walk out but since I had already paid online, rescheduled to 2 weeks later. Second visit: booked earlier in the morning to try to minimize waits. Arrive on time. Wait 35(!) minutes past appointment time. This time was actually able to get through to the doctor, who was helpful in getting my PT referral. Third visit: needed a followup. Given how long the first two waits, I was not in a rush and showed up 7 minutes late. Start checking in and reception says 'we're gonna have to reschedule you, you're late and it's past the grace period.' Apparently, it's 6 minutes! There are 3 people already waiting for appointments. I tell them how long the last two appts took and ask - 'are we supposed to just sit here for the entire time, every time'? Her reply 'yep'. I cancel and leave. I have no idea why they take so many appointments if every single time they are this backed up. If for whatever reason you can't go anywhere else for care, book first thing in the morning. Otherwise, don't pay online in advance in case you don't get seen. And clear out a significant portion of your workday and bring your work or a book to read cuz you'll be sitting for awhile.

Litchfield's bedside manner is great. However, absolutely abysmal experience at the 135 N 7th Williamsburg location. I thought, hey, maybe it won't be so bad as all these Google reviews, I'm special, right? Nope, LISTEN TO THEM, do not come here. Timeline: - 11/30: I came in with a knee issue, Litchfield ordered an XRay and MRI. - 12/6: Got the XRay done. XRay is required for pre-authorization for the MRI, Litchfield's office assured me they'd send it across as soon as they got it. - 1/2: I've now waited a FULL MONTH for Litchfield to simply fax my chart to the insurance company. Fun fact, there's no direct number to the office, only the Mt. Sinai call center. I've spoken with Mt. Sinai 3 times requesting action, not a peep. So, I'm in limbo - the MRI isn't covered until Litchfield's office sends my chart over, Litchfield's office doesn't respond to emails/MyChart reachouts/Mt Sinai reps sending messages, and meanwhile I'm sidelined waiting to start PT. Lovely experience. I'm stuck dealing with these knuckleheads since I'm mid-process. Don't be like me - buyer beware, go elsewhere. PS: Oh, did I mention they also canceled my followup appointment and didn't offer another date? After calling Mt. Sinai, I was given a followup 3 weeks later. Ya know, because they were booked up. Which was why I booked the first one far ahead of time. PSS: To Litchfield's office, if you're reading this - how about sending my pre-authorization request packet over to UHC? All the details are in MyChart, I sent a bulleted list of the required info and case details as a message on 12/18.

I've been coming here for the past few years but never again. I discovered my birth control prescription (which I've been on for over a decade) had run out on the Friday before a Monday departure for a three week trip to East Africa. Got ahold of someone at Mt Sinai who said my doctor wouldn't be in until Monday, but she'd give it to her first thing. Monday morning rolls around and I call Mt Sinai, and the receptionist confirms to me that my doctor she sent the prescription in that morning. But then when I call the pharmacy they say no, they received nothing. I call Mt. Sinai and get another receptionist who says I can't have the prescription because it's been a year since I was last in. She seemed completely apathetic to my case and uninterested in helping at all. I plead with her, explain the case, and she says she'll see what she can do. I call back two hours later - getting increasingly frantic because I have to leave for the airport - and the receptionist says the doctor is still with patients and she doesn't know when she'll be done. At this point I pull the plug and go to Urgent Care to get my damn birth control prescription. I never even heard back from Mt. Sinai, which apparently doesn't care to help women maintain control over their own bodies. On top of this, the time before this latest incident, I took off work and showed up for my appointment, only to be told that it had been randomly cancelled. Given that on top of the birth control fiasco, I will never, ever be back.

While the doctors are knowledgeable, reaching this facility on phone or even through MyChart is extremely difficult. When needing results explained, an urgent referral provided, or if your symptoms get worse and you want to speak with the doctor or nurse, you will most likely get routed to an off-property message center and then you will never hear back. They are overwhelmed with a poor system in place and I hope it improves because the Facility is good. Here is an update to my last review. This place has gotten worse with making customers wait one to one and a half hours. You cannot reach this place by phone. It is always pushed off to other offices. The way they schedule appointments is shameful and greedy because they pack customers in and the doctors have absolutely no time to see the patients in the amount of time allotted. They are just gathering money and hope you don’t cancel or walk out or go to another doctor but I highly recommend just finding another doctor. I live two blocks from this facility but it is more worth it to go to an efficient doctor in Manhattan.

This review is for Dr. Linda Melethil After seeing so many doctors I finally found one who genuinely spends her time with you, listens, explains and cares. I made her my Primary Care Physician; coming from a person who didn't make a PCP since years because I never liked any doctor. Nobody enjoys going to doctors but I loved my visit. She spent 45-50 minutes with me asking me questions about my medical history, how I feel not only physically but emotionally as well. She answered all my questions patiently and told me how she'll approach each of the problems I'm facing. I didn't feel rushed and confused. I live far but I'm willing to travel for a good doctor whom I can trust and feel comfortable with. I recommend her to everyone. They also make an online portal for you where you can message your doctor directly and they respond to you via same portal. Makes life so much easier.

Worst place ever. Dr. Shimmelfarb is fantastic and I'm super sad that I now have to find a new doctor because her billing department is so incompetent. They have billed my last 2 appointments using the incorrect Tax ID number and as a result come up in my health insurance's network as "out of network". I've confirmed that this is not the case and that my health insurance is happy to cover the bill - I just need them to actually submit the paperwork properly. I've now been calling back and forth for almost 4 months and recently had to go for another appointment to get a pre-screening for surgery. Sure enough I got billed a 2nd time using a completely different Tax ID than any other time I've gone (also not in network). If you care about your credit - and don't want to have to fight constantly with the doctor's office and insurance - steer clear of this place.

I will start with the good, the doctor was very nice and professional...BUT everything that happened after was the worst experience I have ever had. The incompetent front desk said they will submit the claim to my insurance and everything should be OK. A couple of days go by and I receive a letter from the lab they work with with a bill for about three hundred dollars. I called Mount Sinai to inquire about the bill and their response was "You will need to come back with the letter so we can figure it out". I also tried to talk to the manager and left 2 messages, haven't heard back. Then I called the lab, only to find out that nothing related to my insurance was submitted. I highly recommend you do not visit this office as the outcomes of seeing a doctor will take so much of your time and energy

  • Aleksandra Itk

I made an appointment with a specific doctor 3 weeks in advance and I called to confirm 3 days before my appointment. When I came in they asked me which doctor I was there to see. I specified who I came for and they said that my doctor will be with me shortly. After two (yes, two!) hours of wait a different doctor comes in and says that she will be the one taking care of me. When I refused she said that my doctor is not in today because she is off at some training. They made me wait for two hours to tell me that! And they also were trying to switch doctors on me without even telling me. They wasted three hours of my time and did not even apologize for it. All manager said was "it is not my fault". Really? I am never coming back.

  • Matt Brody

Doctors are great and professional. Front desk workers are rude and incompetent which is a utter disaster when it comes to a DOCTORS OFFICE. Seems to follow trend with other reviews. Mt. Sinai as a whole needs to review this busy location and do a complete overhaul on their front desk staff and get this place running the way patients and doctors deserve. Only giving 2-stars because the doctors clearly care but it all comes to a crashing halt whenever you have to deal with ANYONE at the front desk/reception. They DO offer an online "MyChart" but many times information isn't updated in a timely manner and it leaves patients in the dark. Steer clear.

  • Breakfast Tacos

I really liked my doctor here but she left months ago. When she left I tried to keep going to this office out of location convenience but it's a mess. There's always an issue. My appointments will get rescheduled, I'll get passed around to different providers there.. sometimes without a heads up. They'll stop refilling my prescription with no warning and won't respond to the pharmacy so I'll have to get involved myself and then three-four days will go by and I have no medication that I need. I can't trust them to do anything they without me having to stay on top of it. I'm officially leaving this office and would not recommend it to people.

  • Benjamin Grass

It pains me to write this review, because I really loved my primary care physician, but since she left a few months ago, this place went from offering some of the best medical care I’ve ever received to the absolute worst, hands-down. This and the fact that it’s next to impossible to reach anyone at the office have left me no choice but to find another doctor. I’m not trying to hurt anybody, and I can’t say this will be the same for everybody. But I felt compelled to leave a review for others before leaving. If you value communication and/or have any serious medical issues, I would take my health concerns elsewhere.

  • Nate Langston Palmer

The doctors here are good but I spent four months (in pain) trying to get a specialist referral that I was told over and over and over again would be sent to me by the end of the day. I didn't even get it after my physical exam.... I had to go into the front desk and sit there until they gave it to me. I had to go see my specialist without the referral and of course had to pay out of pocket because of that. Would give no stars if I could. Shame cuz the people in there are nice. Something needs work in this place though. Working on another referral now and can't seem to get one... let's see how long this takes.

We’ve been coming here the last 4 years since our son was born, and have been bringing our second child who is 4 months now. We absolutely love Dr.Enschede! She’s so great with kids and very personable. The nurse who gives the vaccines (who we’ve seen every time the last 4 years) is so sweet and amazing with our kids. I also couldn’t agree less with the other reviews about communicating with the front desk and doctors. I’ve never had issues when calling, and you also have your own portal to ask questions/make/change appointments. We’ve been very happy patients here and couldn’t recommend them more.

  • Nicole Slawinski

I will start off saying that the Doctor I saw was very nice/professional and that this review does not reflect the care I received but rather my experience with the office in general. The front of house staff has been rude and dismissive on more than one occasion when I needed to be seen for an unknown illness. It is actually impossible to get a same or next day appointment when you are sick and in need of care/medicine/etc. They told me the doctor is available for annual physicals and recommended that I go to an urgent care office for any sort of sickness in between.

  • Auzzie Yazd

I like my doctor, but this has to be the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from a medical office. You cannot get ahold of a single person in the office, so every phone call goes through a call center, where wait times to talk to a live person can be up to an hour. My prescription was incorrect and I was unable to get ahold of a nurse to fix it. The messaging on the app takes an average of 48 hours to hear back from. I really wanted to continue seeing my doctor, but I’m reconsidering due to this really large inconvenience.

  • Miyuki Miyagi

Unfortunately, I can't agree more with these reviews. Such difficulty of communication with this office as a whole. Dropped messages, lost imaging orders, hard to get in with the doctors or get ahold of the doctors with questions. I've wasted a lot of time trying to navigate all of this, and definitely need to find a better place to go. Very disappointing... to the point of being negligent, honestly. I do not recommend that you start with any doctor at this location. Find a practice with better communication and scheduling systems.

  • Elisha Wagman

I read the reviews posted and cringed because if it weren't for Dr. Reich I would have been seriously ill so many times. YES -- there is an answering service for when the office is closed or the phone lines are swamped, BUT there IS a direct line to reception and they DO answer it. Plus, the care offered by Dr. reich is beyond superb, so even if there is a wait (and yes, there often is), it's worth it. The reason is you wait is because these doctors don't rush you or push you out of their office--something I seriously appreciate.

  • Sepand A.

I went there for a knee pain. The Dr. referred me for an MRI but somehow they messed up the referral and the insurance didn't accept the MRI ended up with a $3000 bill. I called them multiple times but they said neither my name or my doctor's name was in their system. The Dr visit took 3 minutes and she said everything was fine. I paid the the Dr bill in full but again they messed up and sent it to a debt collector. Now after 3 months still dealing with insurance bill and debt collector and still have knee pain.

  • Nicole Allen

My first experience here was good but doctor is on leave so I agreed to see someone else. I walk there twenty-five minutes each way in the rain today only to be told…I should have received a phone call as doctor had to leave. I had just gotten the reminder text alert about the appointment and never got a phone call. Front desk was indifferent and not apologetic. Hate places that don’t respect people’s time. When I call to reschedule I find out they canceled my appointment SIX MINUTES BEFORE I ARRIVED

  • Allison Warren

I love Dr. Sacher but this office is a place to avoid. The billing department has routinely billed me using the wrong codes and tax IDs causing me to need to go through months of calls and discussions to resolve which it never was. It is impossible to reach anyone who works there. I've currently needed to get some test results and have been calling and leaving messages for close to a month with no response. The worse customer service ever. They need competent and more office staff.

  • Anastasia Zolotar

I received good service as my appointment. However I’ve been trying for 2 weeks now to reach the office by phone / in MyChart to get some comments on my test results and to request a copy of my prescription. I left a message for a doctor in MyChart two weeks ago and called them multiple times. Most of the times I cannot reach them. I managed to reach them 6 days ago and they promised to send me the prescription same day. Still nothing... so frustrating!

  • Sara Freed

The first visit I had was great, but now that I'm trying to ask my doctor a question I'm realizing how terrible the customer service is. I sent a message to my doctor two weeks ago on MyChart and haven't received a response. I've called the doctor's office every day for the past three days and every time I've reached an answering service where I've been told that my message will be sent over to the practice. So far no response.

  • K T

The doctor was perfectly nice and helpful but the tests that he ordered were not covered by my (public schoolteacher) insurance. A normal check-up where I found out nothing is wrong with me ended up costing over $1000. On top of that they wrote down my address incorrectly so I wasn’t aware of the overdue bills until the window to appeal the insurance decision had already passed. This is why Americans don’t go to the doctor.

  • Gabriela Saade

It’s impossible to contact your doctor directly when visiting this facility. I have been waiting for weeks to get my doctor’s MRI authorization for my insurance and it’s been impossible to contact them. I have called them 5 times, even visited the facility and they wouldn’t let me speak with the doctor. This is why healthcare system in the US has a horrible reputation —because they just don’t care about their patients.

  • Claudia Drakes

Ughh awful place… had an appointment and was 3 minutes late so I was told they wouldn’t see me. Staff was rude and obnoxious and I wouldn’t go back… I think that the company need to take these reviews seriously as there are many all saying the same thing…:either pay for trained staff who don’t have an attitude or be prepared to lose more clients

  • Sean Karimian

love this location, staff and doctors are always so helpful, i've been a patient for almost 3 years and have had no negative experience. they always make every visit fun and easy. tips: if your nice to people, you'll most likely get the same response back. if your a nasty person with a bad attitude, dont expect everyone to bow to your needs.

  • Marc Giuffre

Terrible system in place. You can never contact your physician directly so you’re playing phone tag constantly through an intermediary having to wait a few business days for responses. I’ve been waiting for X-Ray results for 2 weeks now with no solution in sight. I could have gone to an urgent care and gotten the results in 15 minutes.

  • Robert Capelluto

This place is a zoo.... THEY LOST MY TEST RESULTS... Seriously i didnt think anything that passes for a hospital could be so disorganized. It took me constantly calling for them for two weeks to finally confess what had happened. Not a professional establishment so I wouldnt risk coming here it is not worth your health or safety.

  • Gotham C

Doctors had no opening so saw nurse practitioner and she was very informative, thorough and friendly. She was also very good with explaining test results after. Test results came fairly quickly and NP put explanatory comments on each of them in the portal. Found portal very informative and efficient. So far my experience is good.

  • Emily Roff

After moving to a new area with new doctors, I now realize how lucky I was to have this office as my pediatrician. They were always so welcoming to me and baby, and were so sweet with him when giving him medical care and shots. Also, the office is really accommodating to different ways of thinking. I love this place : )

  • Stephanie Motta

I saw Dr. Linda Melethil and her nurse. I can't remember his name. They were both fantastic. I found Dr. Melethil on Zoc Doc and liked her reviews there. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I had almost no waiting time. My appointment was efficient and helpful. The office is clean and easy to get to.

  • ryan sparks

impossible to get a hold of when you need to call them - the only way seems to be to leave a message and hope that someone calls back (I've never received a call back). Really annoying when your prescription is going to expire and you/your pharmacy can't get a hold of them. Dr was good when I saw her though

  • Sarah Sandman

Dr Reich is the absolute best doctor I've ever had. The problem with this office is that you can NEVER reach the front desk. You always get sent to an external answering service and no one EVER calls you back if you leave a message with that service. It is so frustrating. Mt Sinai, please fix this problem!

  • Jonathan H. Kho

Doctors were nice. 100%. Barely anyone picks up the phone. Test results take ages to be released. Barely any replies from messages. I specifically asked the front desk to verify my new insurance info that I added, and yet they still managed to charge my old insurance. Front desk attitude I'd give a 2/5.

  • Anastasia Garcia

Reception CAN be patchy--- BUT the healthcare is amazing. All of the doctors really care, and are incredible. They also offer holistic information in addition to traditional. I've been seeing Dr. Danya Reich for two years-- and she is the best primary care physician I've ever had.

  • Daniella

Believe the negative reviews. While the doctors are nice, they’re unresponsive. I dropped off results two months ago and repeatedly called, sent messages to the doctor via the app, and stopped by. Impossible to get any service. This office shouldn’t be a healthcare provider.

  • Heather Irvine (Mayer)

Been trying to reach my doctor (or someone from the main desk) since Tuesday. The answering service is the only one who answers. No one has returned my calls. All I'm trying to do is get my medical records. I'm calling affiliated offices all over the city to no avail.

  • juan vasquez

I saw Dr. Linda Melethil and her nurse. And attending me right away and dr Linda was very thoroughly with me I explained to her I just had a liver transplant 2 months ago and she attended me other doctors wouldn't see me because they were scared thanks guys

  • Karen Kane

The doctors are wonderful. The front desk staff seemed overworked. They will leave you on hold forever, put you back on hold after asking what you want then answer your question with a terse nasty response.5 for the Doctors, 0 for the front desk.

  • Sofia Cascante

called front desk for a medication refill over a week ago and no one picks up the phone. I was around the area and stopped by asking for the refill and they told me they would let me know. It's been over a week and yet no one has contacted

  • Jme Bell (Tink)

I was referred to the N 7th Beth Israel Clinic by Rosi (Medical Assistant) at that facility. My experience with their staff was as expected. Fast/Very professional. Dr. Liz is an adorable person. She explained every detail of my condition.

  • Katherine Lazar

The other recent reviews are totally accurate. I waited for over an hour. The check in staff barely acknowledged me and later on when I tried to ask for an update on when I'd be seen, the staff I saw seemed like they were trying to avoid

  • Sarah Factor

Consistently happy with my experience here. So relieved to finally have a doctor’s office where I feel taken care of. Everyone here is very sweet and the doctors are great and knowledgeable. All female practice for the win!

  • Kash P

I’ve been seeing my doctor here for a little over two years. My only complaint is that it is hard to reach the office sometimes but other than that I’ve had a great experience! I don’t have any complaints.

  • Arin Pounov

Why do you get a job at the front desk answering calls and dealing with people all day if youre miserable doing it?! The girl, Leah? spoke to me like I am her worst enemy for no particular reason!

  • Crystal Duvergé

Love how attentive everyone is. I call and they attend to me quickly. Very clean office and courteous staff. Seen various doctors at the practice and they are all amiable and knowledgeable.

  • Asaf Schori

Impossible office! Messaging via the portal doesn't always work, and you have to make sure by calling that things are taken care of. Doctors do not respond to referrals requests.

  • Amanda

READ THE REVIEWS… don’t come here. Everything everyone is saying about the people at the desk is TRUE. They treat u like a customer not a patient.

  • Jack Lancaster

Honestly the most negligent dr’s office and Dr Reichel could care less about your experience

  • Vanessa Taal

Had a very good experience here, and short wait times too.
