"If they make mistake in the price, they ll fight you if you ask them about it"
"Good place to get Indian(desi) items and its cheaper too"
"I am shopping here for a year and I was happy with the price and fruits usually"
"Very cheap, very convenient - better quality and cheaper produce than the provigo down the road - but don't buy bread from here"
"I like the affordable products, the prices are pretty good"
If they make mistake in the price, they ll fight you if you ask them about it. There is one man in the staff who is making a lot of trouble in the store, he is always in the cashier and he is very rude. He looks very angry and ready to fight. I went there many times and he is always like this. I don't knwo what he is doing there.
Good place to get Indian(desi) items and its cheaper too. I recommend buying spices here since there are a lot of options. Although I don't buy much from the frozen section but its my go-to place for daily cooking ingredients. The staff is polite not too friendly. I wish they could keep the place a bit cleaner too.
I am shopping here for a year and I was happy with the price and fruits usually. But, some of the cashiers are very rude and they do not know how to treat the costumers. They need to consider this as soon as possible. Unless, it will cost them the costumers including me and many others. I am so sorry for them.
Very cheap, very convenient - better quality and cheaper produce than the provigo down the road - but don't buy bread from here. I've found it getting moldy only two or three days after purchasing it really quickly. Double-check the expiration dates on anything that has one!
I like the affordable products, the prices are pretty good. The problem is with the managers, they provide no help, no visa cards and worst of all theyre always in a rush that you dont have the time to even check if they gave you the right change or not.
I saw a bearded cashier with his mask pulled down. Not a big deal since no one was at the cash and they have plexi-glass. He then proceeded to cough in his hand and there was definitely mucus ,saliva and whatever that was transferred. He did
Consistently the best prices for lettuce, tomatoes, other veggies, even in the depths of winter. Very good quality too. Not the most friendly staff though - often busy talking to one another so the customer seems like an annoying distraction
Perfect small store for a quick shopping experience. Good quality vegetables at competitive prices. Well stocked. They also cater to South Asian and Middle Eastern needs. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and sanitised. I am a regular there
This is one of the avocados that I got for an 'offer' from here today. It was 3 for $1.99. it was soft from outside but since I was sure that I'll use it today itself, I bought it and tried using it. The other two were also slightly black
I have been shopping here for at least 10 years. I love their selection of middle Eastern food products; great selection of other ethnic products of high quality (Bulgarian feta cheese is wonderful). Lots of syrups and interesting juices;
the men (there are only arab men working here, i have never seen any woman), are quite nasty, very disrespectful, one man (he wears glasses, bald head, quite tall with a mean dark expression all the time) always throws the change onto the
When it comes to groceries this is my first option. It is the closest place there is in park Ave where you can find eastern (Persian, Arab, etc) grocery. Despite its small space it has a good variety of items on popular categories like
Unpretentious little market with very fresh fruits and vegetables. Honey there is really good with fair price. It surprised me with a variety of natural products and good variety of tisanes. Be aware that they don't accept credit cards.
It's a nice and quite grocery with some cheaper veggies and some fair trade stuff. Hala meat and ever changing fruit stand. Only critic is not the freshest food and customer service fits introverts better then extroverts on interaction
This place is a real gem if you can take 5 minutes more to not bag the first two peppers on the shelf. Their prices are always lower than Provigo and Metro, and I've seen vegetables at lower than half the price of surrounding grocery
Simply the best veggies & fruits place in the Mcgill ghetto - if you're into that green stuff. The quality is always good and the prices are very reasonable. Your pay a fraction of what your would at the super market down the street.
Please if you don’t want to get poisoned, don’t shop there. Most of the products are expired, and they still keep them on the shelves. I got a box of dates, the dates were moldy. Someone should report them.
Much cheaper than the grocery stores in the area - for fruits and vegetables that is. The quality is great for what you paid. Would recommend to come often but buy smaller amounts to ensure that it lasts.
reasonably priced, lots of middle eastern selection, good selection of flour, vegetables, yogurt, dates, sweets, oils and other fun stuff, only take cash I think and debit above $10, no credit card
A very nice store with plenty of produce and health food at reasonable prices. They have the best organic vegan chocolate Benjamissimo. The owners and staff are very friendly too. Highly recommended
A great place to find Eastern European and Middle Eastern products for decent prices in downtown Montreal. However, I had the impression that the staff was bored, they weren't kind nor helpful.
This message to the owner: I criticize this store cuz I like it, but the owner seems like doesn't care about his business neither his loyal customers. If your background is out of Canada
Very nice little store for almost all grocery needs. However pleas note that they accept only debit cards (no credit card) and they will charge you 25 cents if your bill is less than 7$.
Excellent place. Vegetables and fruits are que cheap, mostly because they dont look perfect or are well ripe. Still worth it! Also a good selection of middle East/Mediterranean
Honestly, if it weren't for the cheap produce and non-perishables, I wouldn't shop here. The staff are mostly rude and unkind. Once, while picking out tomatoes, two had
Great place to get fruit and veggies for a fraction of the price of grocery stores. The staff is nice although I don't think they accept visa so bring cash or debit.
Sometimes prices are reasonable but the staff except one of them are not nice and friendly. They seem to be stressed and angry. I prefer to only pay and get out.
Can get number of food items not otherwise available nearby, including some south Asian stuff. Good prices for vegetables, but they're not always good quality.
This place is decent for finding cheap vegetables and fruit. The biggest issue I have is they charge a fee for using interac which is pretty sad in my opinion.
Great for halal meat. Don't accept credit card and some staff is rude. I have been going to this place for close to two years now. It's the only store
great shop for students, cheap prices compared to other shops for vegetables and fruits, in the area. No organic vegetables are sold, as far as I know.
Very affordable especially the vegetables. It’s the best place to do grocery shopping for a student on budget. The workers are so kind and friendly too
very good and very competitive prices, nice range of products... But not always as fresh.. And employees are rude and jerks especially towards women.
The mother of grocery stores in downtown Montreal. Affordable and awesome. If you're a student and have not visited this place, it's a huge loss.
Good prices. Sometimes surly cashiers. I don't doubt some of the stories that people have posted about the employees. They can be pretty dickish.
Cheaper fresh produce available. Lots of middle eastern options. Customer service could be improved but it's still worth it for the prices.
Low quality, medium price, very bad behavoir with customers. If you buy fruits, either eat the same day or throw them into the garbage.
Wide selection of fruits and vegetables. Worth the trip as some things are incredibly good value for money compared to grocery store.
Great little store, inexpensive fruits and veggies. Save at least a roller per celery compared to grocery stores right beside.
Best grocery store in town and the friendliest staff. I spend about half my monthly salary on the Iranian dates they sell! ☺️
Great fruits with economical prices, other grocery items could use more variety and are not necessarily priced competitively.
Good variety of fruit, but not the freshest. Employees seem like they hate being there. Customer service is not that good.
Decent prices and options for grocery. Very bad collection for fresh meats. Mostly they look stale. Avoid the meats there.
Super cheap veggies and fruit near downtown! Better quality more expensive fruit can be found at Eden down the street.
Great store in the McGill ghetto Good deals on many products Helpful & respectful staff
Very good price with good quality for almost everything you to cook healthy meals.
great halal options and they have dates + olive oil imported from Palestine!
I am a regular client of marché lobo and like it.
Good place to buy cheap fruits and vegetables.
Good prices, and diversity of products
