First off, I almost NEVER leave reviews. Who even has the time!?! But I just have to share this experience. I went into this Ace today to look for tubing for the end of my sump pump (to steer water more towards the street. I entered the store and was greeted right away by the tall black guy at the register who asked if I needed help. I told him no and proceeded to the back of the store where the plastic tubing is where I was then greeted by a mid aged white guy who told me if was in the wrong section and that I should be in plumbing for my needs. After I'd accidentally made a sign fall down, he said "dont worry about it" and pointed me to plumbing. I'm then on the plumbing aisle and here he comes behind me not 45 seconds later asking me if I still need help. Not knowing exactly what to look for, he explained VERY thoroughly what I needed in THE MOST professional, personal manner I've ever experienced. Fast forward, I thanked him, went to register where the tall guy is again and he even asked if I got the proper help I needed. WOW. WOW. WOW. Who says customer service is dead? Thank you ACE HARDWARE West End. Please continue this effortless customer appreciation that you showed today. I hope those two guys get a chance to hear about this review. They deserve to know that they made my buying experience stress free. THANK YOU!

This Ace Hardware store is awesome to me!! I had a problem with my car. A metal water port on my intake had rusted and came out and my car was leaking like crazy for around the rusted port. I had taken my car to a couple of mechanics to see if they could fix it or Tap the hole out and screw a piece of metal pipe in it then put my bypass heater hose on it. Was given quotes of a few hundred dollars to do this. So I came to Ace Hardware store brought the old piece in to match it up. The employees were very nice and helpful and allowed me to buy pieces I thought would work and return them and buy more till I found the right piece to fix my car and it was only $2.99 for a piece of metal pipe and saved me hundreds of dollars the mechanics was quoting me to repair my car. Thank you so much!!!

I just went in there for the first time about an hour ago. Everyone was really friendly and helped guided me where I needed to go Although, a big shoutout to the man with black and dyed hair. I wish I had got his name to shout him out, but he reminded me of Spencer from iCarly. Anyway, I came in there relatively unprepared. I knew what general function the tool I needed did, but not the name or what it looked like exactly (IKEA furniture instructions really be like that). The man was very patient even though I didn’t really have a good idea of what I was looking for. And guess what! The tool he suggested for me worked! I now have a beautiful desk

original review below. went today for plumbing supplies, which i know very little about. the man in plumbing got me what i wanted and showed me how to read the sizing so i would know next time. again, as stated below, it is so nice to ask for help and get it from people who know the stuff theyre selling. not just pointing you to the aisle. and are nice! original review: Ace really IS the place. it is SO nice to ask for help or info about a product and actually get it from someone who knows - and isnt trying to avoid the customers - which is how i feel at the big box stores. this West End store is great!! theyre very nice and extremely helpful.

This is my neighborhood Ace Hardware Store. We have a big box hardware store nearly for the unwieldy stuff, but Ace does fine. They are friendly, helpful and I often run into neighbors here. They get recommended a lot on our neighborhood Facebook group. One never heard anyone say a bad thing about them. They carry most of what we've needed for homerepairs including sheet rock wick I was truly surprised, but happy to find. They car plants in the spring and unlike some neighborhood stores in poorer neighborhoods they offer good quality products at affordable prices. And they've been here a while. Thanks. Ace is the place!

I took a coworker to the store because he needed a pipe wrench and silicone grease to work on a water chiller that he was installing. We found both items in stock. He purchased a 18" pipe wrench that was located behind the counter and was directed to the Isle where were found the silicone grease. The employees were very helpful and the store looked to be very well stocked. There was no COVID restrictions. Some employees and customers wore masks and I noticed at the front of the store there were mask and hand sanitizer for customers.

I had to wait 5 minutes while the only clerk put batteries in a flashlight for another customer. The customer asked the clerk if he wanted to check me out. The clerk said no and kept inserting the batteries for the customer. Finally the same person who helped me get the things I needed came back to the counter and told me that if I had credit or debit he could finally check me out. I had planned to get some lawn bags but it was too heavy to hold and I saw no carts or baskets so I completed my $4 transaction and vow not to return.

Regular shopper. Excellent customer service. I find every tool I need. If, I have any questions the staff is cordial and assistant. Highly recommend. Also, located on the main commercial road that many other shops and restaurants are located. This is convenient if a person has a greater itenerary of goods to procure. The area is a bit tattered, however, financial stimulation from intra-community spending helps with development. Suggest opportunity for external investors seeking to profit from bonds or private stock.

78% customer service skills is how much you'll receive at this predominantly male employed location. The security guard, whether employed by or for the company, greets customers way more than the employees. Not all are rude and unskilled, there's a older white guy...forgot his name...that is awesome!! Helped me find specific screws for mounting my TV in a war zone of screws. If you can at all just don't go here unless it's an in and out trip in which you need no customer service help, you don't get much of it here.

This hardware store is the best - the staff is always super helpful and friendly. As a young woman I never feel like they’re not taking me seriously, which can happen a lot when I’m working on house renovations and repairs. They have a pretty good inventory given the size of the store and I usually find what I’m looking for. If I can’t find something, they’ll give me suggestions for where to find it elsewhere. Great local hardware store!

I went in to buy numbers from my mailbox. Unfortunately they were out of the numbers that I really wanted but they had a good second choice. There was a sales person stationed at the door who told me where to go to get numbers and a second sales person asked me if I needed any help as I looked at the numbers, then a third sales person asked me if I found everything I needed while I waited in line. Wow! That's great service.

Great customer service They had a line of people but they didn't waste time getting the people exactly what they needed in a timely manner without the attitudes or.any mistakes!!! If " mom & pop" means long lines, frustrated cashiers and bad service then they are very mom and pop. While I prefer smaller hardware stores to the big boxes this location is the worst. Step back to 1950 and not in a good way. Crappy selection, horrible service and ever changing store policies. Bad attitudes lost you a regular customer I shan't be back...

Besides being priced for “convenience”, they sold me wood that was made to look dry but had clearly been rained on and sat wrapped in plastic. This seems to happen at most stores around here for some reason. Either take care of your firewood shipments or just stop selling it altogether. No one wants wet, moldy firewood.

Update Your Hours - If you stay open until 7pm, please be open until 7pm. I pulled up at 6:45pm and the employees were in the cars, lights were off and the gates for the doors were down. This is why people shop at big box stores. The corporate office will not allow the store to sway from the hours posted online.

Well stocked, helpful, friendly staff, BUT, most items are $1-2 dollars higher than big box stores, which is fine, If you need personal assistance, they will help. Staff has more general knowledge than big box stores. Only negative...Every customer that comes in, is a suspect, except maybe, old women...

I was charged for 6 drinks at 5.49 ea. 2 raw hide bones at 3.99 And 2 specialty or table tools at 12.99. I did purchase this products, but just one of them, it came to over $35.00 over. That employee at the cash register may be stealing from both, innocent customers and his employer. Bad for business

I am always surprised by the things that ace hardware carries in west in. Usually they have what I need, particularly in regards hardware. You will pay a slight premium however, it’s worth it, not only because the service is excellent, but because we need to support our local businesses.

It's great to know we still have a fantastic old fashioned Hardware store in our high technology society generation. And they cut keys everyone,the old fashioned way, with a person cutting it for you not a dumb machine that can't cut diddley correct! Yeah ACE HARDWARE!!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love this place. Because I am trying to support my neighborhood shops more, I now have to remind myself to check here before running to the big box stores. The guys here have all been very helpful and it's as if they are parts of the neighborhood. This will always be my first stop!

I love going to this Ace! The staff always greet me when I come in or as they see you throughout the store. They're all helpful & knowledgeable about the store & products. I frequent them, because of the customer service & close proximity to my house. I HIGHLY recommend this store.

This Ace hardware is a dying breed. A neighborhood hardware store that somehow always has exactly what I need. Reasonable prices and (what??) customer service that's unmatched but not overwhelming. They close kinda early, 6 or 7 most days. Highly recommend them if ur in the area.

These guys know their stuff, will help you plan a project, suggest cheapest materials, will spend as much time as needed to help you figure out a solution. It's like having a project consultant for free. Forget the big box stores unless you need appliances or lumber.

Always helpful! They stock most home repair items. They don't do paint samples (but have a paint system, which has saved us for refills!), but they've had most everything else we need for quick trips. Parking and entrance are behind the building from RDA.

Excellent customer service, they are always helpful and polite. Since I started coming years ago when I lived in the area, I have moved, yet I always prefer to travel back to this location for the great customer care and the super well informed manager.

This location has a little bit smaller inventory than some ace locations. The staff is pretty knowledgeable and very eager to help. Great to have this nearby for most of the things I would normally have to drive all the way to Home Depot for.

Convenient location. This is the only hardware store for a few miles so it's nice to have one. Not as wide of a selection as other box stores like Home Depot, but it has the basics so you can get what you need for general projects.

I visited this place to verify they sold a particular electronic sensor for my kitchen appliances. They did not carry the item needed for replacement. They possessed a great deal of parts, but not what I needed.

The workers aren't the friendliest, but more importantly they never have what you need. They didn't have the piece I needed to fix my spigot, and they didn't even have replacement bulbs that fit my fan.

Staff is always helpful. Store is will organized for the size. You'll have to ask for help to actually get a lot of the items since a large majority are under lock and key.
