April 2021. I use this CAA Voyages as SAAQ point of service often. In the last 10 years I never had negative experiences with them. I like it a lot more than SAAQ for some reasons 1.The waiting time may be less, was never more than 30 min (vs. 1 1/2 at saaq) even if you have to spend all time waiting in line. Before Covid were some chairs for elders but not now. 2.They work 2 days a week till evening at 7 or 8 pm, so a lot more convenient than Saaq who close all at 4pm or so. 3. I always felt better in front of tellers here, can't say they are more friendly but they are more close to you, more normal, like in usual shop, at SAAQs sometimes I felt treated more distant, more superior, similar to an audience to your boss. Nowadays, because of Covid you must have an appointment, which is done by internet one or more days in advance (google "saaq appointment pointe claire "). Without appointment they accept rarely if there is (almost) no waiting line. I reccomend this SAAQ point of service by all my heart. Hope you will be happy too. ============/ October 2021 Edit: I had these days a negative experience, changed from 5 to 3 stars. Selling a car with 2 owners needs the accord of both, in person or by Power of attorney. I didn't know that, as i paid 100% of the car (and had papers proving that), and I wasn't notified last year when I added my son to the certificate of that eventual problem for the time when the car will need to be sold. I had to learn that after almost one hour of waiting in line with my buyer. As my son was in Quebec city, the lady (in training) gave us the the form to be filled by him specifying that the signature should be in original, and that is mandatory for him to sign on the first signature place, on the second place he may sign or ... me. I asked my son to come quick in Montreal to perfect the papers, and he said will arrive almost at closure. As my buyer came from 60 km out of Montreal and can't come again next day, we decided to wait for him. 15 minutes before closure time he called saying he will arrive in 19 minutes, slow traffic ahead. I explained to the lady the situation, showed her the pass over ticket but she didn't care, moreover : 5 minutes before closing time she will stop entering persons. Can't reserve a place for second day, nor to take a RDV. Ok, their rights. Willy-nilly, we have to come again next day with the power of attorney signed as requested by the second "owner". The pass over ticket was not valid next day so we had again to wait 45 minutes to get in front of the teller. The paper is not good!! The secondary owner should signed on both places, not just in first one. Incredibly! We were 3 persons to misunderstood what they (she, the lady in training) said! My buyer had to go to work in the afternoon so I asked at least to give us another pass over ticket to avoid waiting again one hour in line. Incredibly the answer was no.Why? Because today they are open till 8pm (sic!), so no tickets are given for today! (To retain that in the days closing at 8pm, one could afford to stay two times one hour each, beacause they have a lot of operating time!! Hey, there is someone from CAA or SAAQ to hear that?) No matter their fault, no matter our efforts to comply, no matter the difficult situation, nothing! The fact that they can't accept an incorrect paper I understand well and I agree, but contrary of my previous 10 pleasant years of being their client, now I just felt a sort of malice, a total lack of humanity, lack of will to help, even they knew the situation and our efforts. I was totally disgusted... In the end, to save time, we decided to meet my son at half distance, in Trois Riviere and go to local SAAQ there. Finally, we were able to perfect transaction there in about 30 minutes. We could do the same in previous day, but nobody had the idea. I still let 3 stars in the memory of previous 10 years of good experiences.
It always takes only one phone call and one visit to the Travel Agency - CAA IN Pointe Claire, and there I am ... ready for my next trip. Thanks to the director, Diane Brooks, and my new agent, Joanna Magierowska, nothing is impossible ... everything is swift and precise. In the very beginning of covid, I was vacationing in Australia when I got an email from Diane Brooks saying, "Hi Roma, The situation is getting worse, I am not sure if you were aware, your return flight on April 4 has been cancelled and most airlines are restricting or cancelling there flights until the end of April. This is what I can offer you, and I hope it will still be applicable by the time you get back to me ..........." Diane got me out of Australia one day before all the borders were closed. Why am I writing this? CAA is committed to serving clients in all kinds of situations. Thank you for doing a great job.
I had a really bad experience at the center the employee made several mistakes making me go back and forth wasting my time and finally charged me the wrong amount , and the manager was super rude and not helpful at all. After making a complaint in english, a person called me back and ignored that I’m talking english and made the whole converstaion in french . Additionally, instead of appologizing about their mistake and the horrible experience, she said said that she thinks nothing wrong happened which was super unprofessional and not helpfull at all in correcting the mistake they made.
This location has slipped in friendliness and service, pre pandemic to present pandemic times. I completely understand the social distance and line up outside, waiting 30 mins is expected (only 5 clients prior inside). But after being inside for just 5 mins, the entrance staff checking for pandemic protocols, ie Vaccine passport and ID. She decides to cram more people inside lol? Why put 15 more people inside once we are in line (in the building). Social distance doesn’t exist all if a sudden (shoulder to shoulder).
Nice place to get an international drivers license. Service was friendly and courteous. Did not have to wait a whole lot of time. Passport style picture was taken after a five-minute wait. Processing and printing took another five. In total: about 10-15 minutes to have the license. Very convenient. Highly recommended if you travel abroad and intend to drive. The little booklet included in the license lists all countries where that license is valid. Very cool.
I went to renew my licence and medical card in person on January 25th., after more than 1hr’s queuing (even with the appointment), the employee served me with poker face and very rude manner. I got the card today and found the picture he took for me was really unacceptable with almost closure eyes, and the picture will be used for the next 8 years and also for medical card. I feel it was very unresponsive behavior and I had a terrible experience!
I tried going to SAAQ Dorval TWICE without an appointment to take a photo to renew my license and I wasn't able to get in for BOTH times since the wait time was too long. I came to Voages CAA in Pointe-Claire and waited inside for at least 25 minutes and got my photo taken and license renewed. Their employees were kind and polite and was more than happy to help all throughout the process. I recommend going here instead of any SAAQ service points.
There is no line. I've been a member of CAA Quebec for over 8 years. Every time I’ve visited the Kirkland office on St Jean’s ? I’ve worried about a line. But the line outside is for the SAAQ. To visit the CAA? Just go straight up to the doors and the person on duty will send you right inside. And if you are like me and need to sit down? They are very accommodating. Plus pleasant, efficient service? Wonderful!
I got the renewal of my expired learner license here without the appointment in advance. Showed up early before opening time about 30 minutes, made it as the 5th person of the waiting line. After only 3-4 minutes of waiting time since opening, my turn came and it just took 3 minutes to get the renewed license. It is really nice and efficient service!
WHAT a friendly, helpful team at the renewal counter. what a change to deal with people who make you feel like you are human. WELL DONE! The only suggestion I would have is that your signage also be in English. Thank you for the great experience I had yesterday renewing my licence and medical card.
CAA and SAAQ share the same entrance. There’s typically a long line of people waiting for SAAQ service, but there usually isn’t a lineup for CAA. So if you see a long lineup, walk through the entrance doors and then to the counter. The staff is really friendly and efficient.
It used to be an advantage to share the same office with the SAAQ Pointe Claire. However, since the SAAQ is having cutomer issues with its computer system, the place is overcrowded everyday for months. It is better to have service in other CAA than this one.
Went to get an international driver license. The line out front is for the SAAQ... So go to the door and advise you are going to CAA. No wait when I went. They took the phone required, paid a few and was out pretty quick.
Fast and Easy! We went to the point-claire branch, and the line to get in was so long. So we decided to go to laval branch. It was in-and-out transaction. It was for international licence.
Although you have to stayed on the que for hours, but the wait is worthwhile expecially when you achieved your goal. Hardworking and friendly staffs on the desk
Never used caa, so no comments, Just renewed my plates at saaq, Best govt bureau, in all quebec, the most Efficient in all the province, keep it up. Thanks
