I've never had a worse experience in my life. I was there buying a bottle of wine for my wife. I ended up being helped by two wonderful and knowledgeable people. Ended up buying a $100 barolo and a bottle of orange skin wine. If you aren't familiar with that you Google it. They're lovely and a nice change. I was in the store with my 15 year old daughter. She was never unaccompanied nor did she touch anything. I was checking out and the cashier asked for my ID. Not totally unexpected even though I'm 43. She then asked my daughter for hers. She didn't have one because she's 15. She said the law says she can't sell me anything if I have a minor in the store. I know that's not true because the store manager confirmed it. She made my daughter leave the store before she let me pay for it. I was embarrassed and so was my daughter. I called after I cooled down and the manager confirmed that she was wrong and I was right and then did nothing. Your customer service sucks Total Wine. Train your people better.
Just left here, I walked into a checkout line that had 1 customer and that customer was getting his receipt. The cashier looked at me and said you can go over there pointing to the cashier beside him. I’m totally confused as to why he wouldn’t just check me out instead of sending me to a different cashier. It’s crazy that the cashiers can pick and choose who they want to checkout and who they don’t want. I asked him why I couldn’t go through his line and his reply was “well I mean you can if you want” wellll DUH I walked to your line. I went to the other cashiers lane so I wouldn’t cause commotion keep in mind there is NO ONE in his checkout line right now. As soon as I go to the other cashier a different customer walked up to his line and he had ZERO problem checking him out he even welcomed him. My things is treat all your customers the same! Thank you to the other cashier who actually did her job.
First visit was about was about 2 months ago. Shopping for an expensive Bourbon (that I know ZERO about) to gift someone who DOES know. I had a very nice young man walk me though the almost endless options - and patiently listen to my dumb questions until we found just the right one. Checkout was uneventful and unremarkable. As it should be I guess. Although it is your last chance to make a lasting impression. My 2nd visit was just 2 days ago. The Staff on the floor was very helpful, very informative and very polite. I only asked to find the tequila aisle but didn't ask for help while shopping. With the gentlest of ease the salesman ("Divine Spirit"??) approached and helped Divine which Spirit to choose. He found exactly what I didn't know I needed. Prices are fair, selection is fantastic. Sales staff are Pros. They are knowledgeable on product and trained to listen.
Been coming to this store for years. Today my husband (30) and I (31) came into the store to buy beer and aperol/Prosecco. Got to the check out line and they told us they need both of our ids (which they have never asked for in the 3 years of us going to this store) - I explained I left mine at home but had a picture of it. My husband had his ID and was the one paying. They said it was store policy that they need both peoples id and were unwilling to allow me to sit in the car while he paid or look at the photograph of my id. Terrible customer service and store policy. I looked it up on their website and under 21 customers are permitted with a parent - how can this be allowed but not me with my 30 year old husband…
A worker asked if “I was actually going to buy” a bottle of Veuve Clicquot after I asked him to take it out of the window because I wanted to buy it. I don’t know what made him question me and my boyfriend but if I wasn’t why would I ask for him to do that. Not only that, the worker took the champagne all the way to the cashier as if we were going to steal it. I probably make more money than 10 of them combined. This is unacceptable and it seems like there is zero training done at this total and wine. Save your money and go elsewhere. They’re far better liquor stores with better service.
This Total Wine isn’t as super massive as say the one off I-75 at Park Lane, but it is brand new and beautiful with still a very large variety of wine, beer & liquor to choose from. Parking in the back of the store is very easy and usually open, and they also offer curbside pick-up for online orders. Staff is always very friendly in my experience, and I like that it’s not as packed as the larger stores, especially in light of recent COVID-19 concerns. I really like this store and the area it is in, especially since the parking is atypically easy for an Uptown/Oak Lawn Dallas-area store.
A went to this location with a wine in mind. As I entered, there was an employee, at the beginning of the isle waiting to help customers. It good to have service waiting for you instead of you having to go look for it. I told him that I was looking for a wine from Sardinia. With no hesitation. He took me strait to the thee brands they had, and he even recommended one one the brands before I even asked. He had already tried one of the brands himself. I bought the brand that I had heard of and I also bought the brand he recommended.
The staff barrel down the aisles like you are in their way and they are all way too busy to deal with you. There's always something "else" going on, a training or some internal meeting type thing that keep them from being customer focused. I don't think despite all this internal focus, that they are happy people working there. 10 Out of 10 cashiers apparently hate their jobs based on the pervasive anti-customer demeanor and body language. Big selection but I went back to Goody Goody. They are much more relaxed and friendly.
I really, really, really hate to say it. But I think I was racially profiled at this store. When security is on every aisle you are and trying not to appear to be is not a good feeling. It seems the service is not helpful as they could be. Although I don't like to bepestered when I'm browsing. It's for the oak lawn type which I am not. They were not rude, but I felt uneasy coming here. A color thing?, Dunno. The cashiers we're nice enough. It's wasn't uneasy enough for me to never visit again because I will. .
Very rude people who refused to sell to my brother, who had his ID, due to the fact he walked in with me and I did not have my ID with me but did have a photo of my ID on my phone which is legally allowed for me to use as I am an Oklahoma resident and the new laws make it so I don't have to have a physical ID but they still refused to sell to my brother even though I was not the one buying. They were extremely rude and unhelpful and were speaking to us with a very disrespectful tone and a mocking manner.
Great selection. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Complete set of mixers and tools available. Need a new drink? Look for a recipe suggestion. Need help with wine?? You will find several staff members ready to recommend just the right bottle for your price and occasion. Need a bottle chilled before you leave? They can quick chill it for you to the perfect temperature in less than 5 minutes. Stop in here for a fun and fruitful shopping experience. .
There are tons of great options, including artisan brands you won't find in other liquor stores. I would give 5 stars, but a staff member selling bourbon was a little rude, and I overheard a snarky comment about how he wasn't giving samples. It was confusing because another table selling bourbon nearby WAS giving samples. Fortunately, most of the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. It won't deter me from returning.
This location is always busy, but their customer service is unmatched! The entire staff is pleasant and helpful. I have not been here and not been able to find what I need to restock my bar. Parking is a little tricky... especially between 7-9pm... it requires patience for sure! My only gripe is that they do not carry the small cups to make jello shots. Other than that... Everything is awesome!
Large selection and very good prices, however, the sales staff (while plentiful and available to help) consistently made efforts to move me out of wines I was interested into wines that I had never heard of and were quite pushy about it. They do have good Covid protocols in place. I will be a regular I'm sure as they are close to me, but will not be asking for any advice.
Amazing store, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Before you go in make sure you sign up for the rewards card on their website, because I guarantee this will become your number 1 liquor store. Prices are ridiculously CHEAP! The wine we have been buying at our local liquor store for $20 is $12 here! There is a parking lot behind but it gets full easily.
Love Love Love that promotions and opportunities to try new things has returned. The nicest lady was promoting Astral Tequila and the recipe she gave me that also included the Hendura Agave (available in the store) has been a hit with my family and friends. It's my new preference for Tequila and it all started with a great smile and great attitude.
The experience at this Total Wine location has been the best experience I’ve had yet! The two employees I interacted with were extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Rocky helped me find exactly what I needed with great suggestions and Bee helped me at the cash register and completed the great experience with insightful conversation.
Awful customer service this morning. These people believe that every black person that enters the store wants to steal. Then you also have to wait till they are finish talking before you can pay for your products. I am so glad I will be living Dallas for good, and please remember that there are black educated people with money in this world.
This is probably the smallest TW&M I've been in but still carries a wonderful selection for such a compact location. Very clean and as expected from this company, a wonderful staff. Matthew was my cashier. He was nice and did his best at being personable, even though I am a little bit of a kook, he didn't run away! Great job overall.
Be very careful with mobile and online orders. Scam occurring: They will mark as “picked up” hoping you forget about your order. When I caught them they said “it was automated” but we all know that’s not the case. They finally refunded. We recently prosecuted Home Depot workers for doing the same. We’ll be investigating TW further.
Service was impeccable and selection was fully stocked. A young man immediately saw me having trouble finding an obscure item and instead of telling me where to get it, asked me for quantity and brought it straight to me. Definitely will be back. Bravo to the GM and the workers for being so professional and going above and beyond
Great location, always stocked and management is great! Managers are always out on the floor supporting their team as well as customers. There is a young lady by the name of Naomi who works there and ALWAYS has a horrible attitude. I’ve had three separate situations where she has went out of her way to be rude to customers.
I always enjoy shopping here. Huge selection and you really can’t beat their prices. Plentiful of staff available with pretty decent product knowledge. Only had one negative experience with a rude employee but was discussed with management who apologized for their behavior. I always recommend this place to my friends.
I'm from Denver Colorado and I'm used to being greeted upon entrance. That didn't happen. I ask an associate where is the Bellaire he said isle 4. I'm used to an associate walking me to the product. Will never come back here. All the employees seems like they just ready to go home. No customer service skills at all!!
This is where I typically go for my wine and liquor needs. Store is always clean, staff very helpful, and things are typically in stock. I wish they had all the flavors of Whipped Shots by Cardi B but I understand that this isn’t technically a liquor store. I also would love if there were more sangria options.
Great prices and for the most part the staff was knowledgeable. I"m sure they are still learning. The checkout was great, nice people. Be careful when parking, lots of people coming in and out walking quickly, not yielding to cars. It's annoying and ruins what would otherwise be an overall great experience.
Total wine speaks for itself. Nice well kept establishment with service at your fingertips. If you like the knowledge of liquor, wine or beer and flavors that was satisfy your taste buds. Make sure you download the app, cuz I believe they have specials for members on certain days and for certain products.
Beautiful facility and most workers were nice but the cashier Randle was rude and stereotyped me. He assumed I was doing door dash then refused to tell me the total of my wine which was weird. Spoke no other word. Left a sour taste in my mouth. Wine lovers are not limited to one group of people.
The people here are always super friendly and helpful, great selection. Using the app just makes it even better with the points you earn for each purchase. This allows you to earn $5 for every 5000 points and you get a free wine bag every month. It's great when stores give rewards for loyalty!
The store is wonderful. I'd like to point out, people are STILL wearing face coverings. We chose to wait in a longer checkout line instead of going through the empty line where the woman was wearing a mask. If she feels that strongly she has to wear a mask, she should not be customer facing.
Total Wine is my only stop for adult beverages Best prices, great selection, very knowledgeable staff and easy to navigate store. They also have rare selections that some of their larger competitors and even other TW stores don't have. Check them out, you will be very pleased!!!
Finding parking and actually parking in this location is a nightmare. It's parking lot is really small and the spaces really tight. Given it's Texas people have huge vehicles and it makes it a real hassle. Outside of that the stock of liquor is a gamble check before going.
Poor selection of non-wine drinks. Always out of bitters. Was told they would not carry Créme de cacao. So I went to Goody’s and got what I wanted at a lower price. No reason to go back even though Total Wine was nearer my home. I’ll pass them by and go to Goody Goody.
This store is small compared to some of the other locations, but the helpfulness of the staff makes up for the size. Best prices anywhere. Incredible selection. Tasting availability. Highly educated, helpful staff that find you. It's always a pleasure to shop here!
After a lack luster experience at another Total Wine location, our experience with Chester at the Oak Lawn location was nothing but great! His customer service skills are fantastic and welcoming and his recommendations of wine are even better. Highly recommend.
Great selection. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. If they are out of a certain product, talk with the staff, and they will work to get it back in stock. I would go again. They lost a star because they are out of Gold Bar Whiskey.
Great prices and selection!! Most importantly, they had excellent customer service! I went in knowing the type of wine I wanted (that I don’t drink, getting for a friend) and the lady was very helpful recommending different options and describing them.
Talked to the whiskey expert and he steered me towards a less expensive, but great bourbon. Then went over to the wine section, and had the same experience. I'm glad I took advantage of the staff's help to get organized for a big party (on a budget).
The staff selection in TW is impressive. They’re always so friendly and helpful. We had a bad bottle of flavored vodka that they returned without batting an eye. Sorry about the recent flood inside! Hope you guys got er all cleaned up and dried out.
The people that work here are weird and not friendly at all. Just try another location. The manager also has weird vibes. Tried to make a report of an injury but the manager didn’t take it seriously after coming to buy multiple bottles for an event.
Great selection. From wines, beers, and spirits. The place is wall to wall and shelves in between. Customer service is top notch. Even the manager was nice when questioned about stock. Stop by if ever you are in the area. It will touch your fancy.
Good, I found an amazing wine I’d been looking for! That’s the one star. I’m happy for that and also that I am resourceful because not one employee asked me if I needed assistance. I’ve surely never had this kind of experience at any Total
My first visit ever to Total Wine & More. The staff were nice, the store was clean. Great selection of all sorts of liquors. They even have cigars in a fridge? I ended up buying two beers and two little bottles of whiskey. Great price!
Best total wine location, has a nice appeal, friendly and knowledgeable staff that go out of their way to help, and the best prices and SELECTION! Why go anywhere else, this is my stop for cigars, and alcohol this is my one stop shop !
First time at this location and worst experience ever! Employees didn’t bother to ask if I needed any assistance instead kept walking by the aisles where I was looking for what I needed since I’m not familiar where everything is.
Who knew spirits shared without a holiday would turn into a summer brief beverage tasting festival on a small isle at Total wine. Strangers, aka customers, meet for the very first time to taste some quality tequila …
Cute location! Same broad selection that they are known for. I even saw a $6000+ bottle of Patron lol. Good prices and friendly employees. Parking lot was small though, so I can see that being an issue around the holidays.
05/23/2023 Much smaller store. I didn't find the rum I was looking for, so I tried a different brand off of what was on the shelf. Staff checked in with me frequently and asked if I needed help with making my selection.
March 2023- Yikes! I had to remember my order that did not post as a purchase. Me and cuzzo reworked my order! Thank you general manager and Cuzzo! Dec. 2022-Great selection, great prices and great service!!!
Always a great place to shop. I f simply found it a little smaller than the Park Ave location where I typically shop. Both locations have friendly and helpful staff. Definitely worth visiting again.
This place gives me the same feeling as when I was a kid on my way to Toys R Us. I also use the delivery service from time to time, and it is always fantastic. Download their app, it's pretty great!
They follow all the black people around. Much of the staff are unfriendly and passive aggressive. The cashiers are nice and they carry good things, but I can cut the tension with a knife!
Best alcohol seller in the town. My friends and I came here often to purchase whisky. Their price is unbeatable in this area. The parking space is huge. You can come here with your truck.
Awesome place to be. Everyone and I mean everyone is super helpful. The managers are pretty nice and everything is clean and organized. Ideal liquor store experience. Pretty cashier too.
The sales experts were hands-on. I appreciate their assistance. I was looking for several different wines. I found all but one. But that's ok. Thanks for the awesome customer service!!
Great selection! Actually had the brand I was searching for! I couldn't find it anywhere else (I visited 8 different stores before arriving here). I was in and out within 5 minutes!
Great collection of non alcoholic wines and bears and the collection keeps growing. For those who are in recovery and don't have a problem with non alcoholic wines highly recommend
I loveeee total wine and more but this location just makes me upset every time I come here . There’s specific wines I buy and this location doesn’t carry 2 of the main ones I buy .
I love total wine but I wasn't a big fan of this location. The staff was not as friendly. Maybe I came at the wrong time. The selection is smaller compared to other stores.
Great selection of gluten free and non-alcoholic beers! My family is an oddity (sober, dietary restrictions, etc), but we shop here for special occasions and gifts.
Big selection. The man I asked for help to seemed to be happy to help another guy there. when I asked, I wasn't meet with a much enthusiasm. Maybe it was just me.
Checkout clerk was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Manager walking around in store was a jerk. They were also out of some liquor that they should have had.
Very helpful staff. I love the diverse inventory especially as am avid scotch drinker. The cigar section is also impeccable and the best prices in Dallas.
Great help in the store, very knowledgeable on the drinks and placement. Only thing I didn't like was the total lol (Prices were very reasonable) ^^^
Went to several liquor stores looking for Bell's Oberon they were the only store to have it. Always seem to find what I'm looking for at Total Wine.
Cleanest and most organized and friendliest store. Shoutout to Kurt who’s extremely knowledgeable about wine. His recommendations are amazing
Great people at the store. Mitch and Greg handled my order delivery. Received the wrong items and got the correct ones in under 10 minutes.
Smaller than other Total Wine locations, so the selection of craft beer was limited. But overall, very helpful people and good prices.
I love the variety of this store. It's one of the smaller total wines I have been to, but they still had some really good selections.
Probably the best liquor store in many miles. Would recommend to anyone, for any reason. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Good prices and large inventory. Sales people often promote and oversell private label products without disclosing conflicts.
Smaller location than what I'm used to but perfect for the area. Great staff, prices, and the same fantastic spirits/wine!
Great selection, but are on some type of power trips when it comes to ID-ing people that aren’t even purchasing alcohol.
The staff was SUPER nice and very helpful. The store isn’t a large as a lot of locations but still has a good selection.
Great bar with amazing entertainment. But the stage where the bands play is outside. Too dang hot to be outside!
Great selection and the prices are some of the cheapest in town. Great place to find hard to find beverages.
Still the best selection of liquor around. They have almost everything. This local smaller than most though.
It's a libation grocery store. One stop shop. I found some really great absinthe here! I approve!
The best total wine! The samples were not rail drinks they were top shelf and wow I loved it!
Very helpful service fast check outs. Tons of variety of almost everything. We will go back.
The cheapest bottles in town ! Super nice staff ! Quick service ! My favorite liqour store !
Quick service, knowledgeable staff, and the samples helped us find a new drink.
Great selection. Organized layout. Helpful staff. Much better than Specs.
Always have my go-to's in stock! Various tastings in rotation often!
I love shopping here all the employees are so nice and helpful!
Beautiful store! Super friendly and helpful attendants.
Friendly customer service, wide selection, and cigars.
Excellent and broad choices plus amazingly low prices
Showed up before closing and they where very helpful
Very organized. Employees are helpful and friendly.
Knowledgeable sales staff. Helpful. Good prices.
Fun, lots if selections and reasonable prices!
The employees are very helpful and friendly
Great store. Best selections.
It had everything we needed!
