The store in Walnut Hill Shopping is very bias if you are Black/African American. My boyfriend and I decided to stop by after work on Saturday to purchase some alcoholic beverages to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Sunday. When we enter into the store, it was indeed a bit busy. Me and my boyfriend went separate was be cause I wanted to purchase whiskey and I went into another lane to find the ingredients I needed to make apple martinis. When I was in a far side of the store by myself, minding my own business, and tall Hispanic dude decided to follow me on the same lane. While I was looking at the large bottles of Apple Smirnoff Vodka and checking the price, the dude walks up, I stop to look to see who the stranger was and then he turns to a door within the same lane to pretend that he wasn’t following me. Other black employees in the store immediately greeted me and my boyfriend while we were in the store, and even offered assistance, the other guy however, did not. As both of us went to the counter to purchase all 6 bottles of alcohol, the same dude came all the way to the counter just to watch us as we purchased and then walked away. The dude didn’t thanked us or spoke to us at all, which was pathetic all along. This was my first time visiting that location and it will be my last due to the unprofessionalism and prejudice I experienced at that store. I definitely recommend everyone to purchase their beverages elsewhere. However, the same store in Addison, Texas I really enjoyed because the were more friendly, hospitable, and very helpful to provide assistance. I look forward to continue purchasing at that location.

My negative experience stems from a rude employee interaction. My wife and I will not be returning to this, or any other specs. My wife (who is currently underaged) was with me during a purchase. Anyone who lives in Texas and sells alcohol should know state law says that a parent, legal guardian or spouse (myself being 24 in this case) can purchase alcohol when they are with their child or spouse. Not this employee. She saw my wife was underage and immediately became defiant. She would not let me finish my sentence to explain the law to her. It took the manager coming over and getting involved after being told by the employee that I was "arguing with her" when attempting to provide Texas state law. The employee was told she was wrong and rang us up afterwards, but did not apologize or show any regret over disrespecting a correctly educated customer. She clearly did not earn her liquor license properly and this store clearly shouldn't have one.

The cashier yelled at me and my husband because I am not 21. We tried to explain that Texas state law allows me to be in there with him while he purchases the alcohol. She had to call for her manager saying that we are trying to argue with her in order for her to find we were correct. Even if we were wrong, she should not have been that rude. We were very calm when trying to explain this to her, and she would not even hear it. We will not be coming back.

I was only in Specs to grab a bottle of wine and a bottle of St. Germain, but was sidetracked by a free tasting of the "Specs Brands", which were surprisingly good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I wish there was a Specs anywhere near my house in Colorado. The liquor stores near me have nowhere near this level of helpfulness or cheap house brands. I left the store a little jealous.

This is a great liquor store. The selection is good. They have all the standards plus a couple of specialty brands. The mixer selection is sparse. The best part of the store is the staff. They are always friendly, ready to make a recommendation and the checkout line is always quick.

Located at the corner of Walnut Hill and Marsh in northwest Dallas. Wasn't really impressed with the service or the upkeep of the store, and the inventory selection is limited. Not horrible, but not thrilled about the shopping experience. It is what it is..

I've always really liked Spec's liquor stores. This location is basically just a liquor store geared quick store. This is not a true Spec's. They don't have all the extras that most Spec's have. You can only get liquor, beer, and tobacco here.

I went to this location and as soon as I walked in a cashier yelled out in front of everyone with an attitude “sir are you even old enough to be here?” I understand underage people come into stores, but you should pull the customer aside

They didn't have any of their Deep South Egg Nog. When asked, 2 employees just said no, but one lady with long gray hair took the time to look it up and tell me what Spec stores had it in stock. A BIG THANKS to her.

My go to liquor store, it is on my drive and I like the bourbon recommendations I get from the staff. Beer selection varies is the only challenge, sometimes they do not have what I am looking for beer wise

Completely remodeled after the 2018 tornado. Large selection of wine, beer and liquor. Found a wine there that was $5 cheaper than a local grocery store. They offered 5% discount if you use a debit card.

It is a normal liquor store. The wine & beer selection are very limited but they have a little bit of everything. Good variety on the high end tequilas. Good promotions and average prices.

A guy named Stephan Martinez who works there is a bully & ruined a lot of peoples lives & continues to work & manage employees is just sad definitely Do research on him & background checks
