We called this company to drain a clogged kitchen sink by running a metal plumbing snake through the main pipe. When speaking to Paul the Owner on the phone he explained to me that he would be the one coming to do the job himself but he would be bringing along an Apprentice but we would only be paying for one person (for Paul to do the actual job). He explained on the phone what the charges would be before coming. He said we would be paying $100 just for him to show up at the appointment with his truck/van and then there would be a subsequent charge of $52.00 per half hour for work being done. We agreed to these charges and finally booked an appointment. Once Paul arrived with his Apprentice they started to work did the job within 1hr 10min but charged us for 1hr 30min (Paul said even if you go 5 min into the next block of 30 min you pay for the complete 30 min, this is somewhat insane but we accepted it, we didn't challenge this logic) So technically the bill should have been $100 for the truck/van, plus 156.00 for the labour ($52.00 X 1.5 hrs), and only other addition that should have existed was the tax. So living in Quebec the charge before tax would be $256.00 and plus tax would have been $294.34. (his final bill was 334.58) However when it came time to produce the Invoice, Paul had decided to get creative and start adding extra charges to the bill that were completely ridiculous. (see attached photo showing bill with the ridiculous additional charges). He actually had the gull to charge us for the 2 pairs of gloves that he and his Apprentice used, and then charged us an additional $38.50 for the metal plumbing snake he used to clear out the pipe. (he never mentioned to us on the phone that he would start getting creative with additional unwarranted charges like this) He also said he gave us a break and "did not charge us for the rags" he used...LOL! Why would a plumber start charging you extra for every tool he decides to use? (that he owns and does not have to buy or rent) Isn't that what the $100 charge for the truck is? (you pay for the truck and the tools in it - flat charge). According to Paul's logic, when eating at a restaurant the Owner would have the right to charge us for the stove they used to cook the meal, the pans they used, the knives they used, the gloves they used, the rags they used, the fridge they used, the vents that were used..etc. etc. you get the point. If that was the case then a simple meal in a restaurant would cost us thousand of dollars because you would no longer be paying just for the meal but also for everything they used to make the meal..Insane!! I happen to know a lot of Contractors and when I explained to them what had happened they all start laughing saying that the additional charges were ridiculous and that we got scammed and simply "taken" by this Company. I will say that the work was done just fine. What they came here to do...they did, however, I didn't appreciate the creative accounting Paul the Owner decided to surprise us with. (I'm sure he did all this to justify having his Apprentice present, which he said we would not be charged for) I would never call this Company back and I would certainly not recommend them to anyone else - be aware of the extra creative charges coming your way. It's not about the money, it's about the "Principle". How desperate can you be to scam your Clients with extra trivial, creative charges. If they do this to every Client throughout their work week can you imagine how much more money that amounts to on extra, unwarranted charges in the Year. *NOT RECOMMENDED - BE WARNED*

J'ai reçu un excellent service pour un problème de fuite d'eau qui devait être addressé en urgence, et ce pendant le weekend. 1- Prix : Part rapport aux compétiteurs qui chargeaient des prix élevés les urgences le weekend, les prix proposés par Soltech étaient beaucoup plus abordables (50.52$ par 30 min). J'ai pu avoir un rdv pour le lendemain, un Samedi pendant une période très achalandée. 2 - Service : Paul et son collègue ont pu rapidement identifier la source de la fuite, la neutraliser et me donner des recommendations pour les prochaines étapes à suivre, le tout en prenant le temps de m'expliquer les détails et leur processus pour identifier la source. Toutes lsurs recommendations ont été non seulement bien expliquée lors de la conversation, mais aussi clairement mises sur papier par écrit, ce que j'ai bcp apprécié sachant que j'ai peu de connaissances en plomberie. Attitude très professionelle et très agréable tout le long du service. 3 - Transparence : tout est chronométré depuis leur arrivée pour une facturation juste. Le seul petit point négatif est qu'ils étaient 2h en retard par rapport à l'heure approximative qui avait été dite au téléphone, mais ce qui était explicable par un très fort achalandage et un rdv qui avait pris bcp + de temps que prévu avec un client précédent. J'aurais toutefois apprécié au moins un rapide text au pour me prévenir d'un fort retard par rapport à l'heure approximative prévue afin de pouvoir mieux gérer ma journée mais c'est le seul point d'amélioration que je vois, le reste vraiment parfait,.professionel et agréable. Overall je suis très très satisfaite et recommende fortement!

Nous avons fait appel à plombiers Clara, et avons reçu les services de 2 plombiers de SolTech (tel que déterminé sur la facture). Le travail a été bien fait et il y avait de la disponibilité dans la journée de l'appel, ce qui a été apprécié, mais le prix facturé nous a semblé excessif pour le travail effectué, et la dernière heure et demie (à 160$ de l'heure pour 2 personnes) a été passée à passer le balai, faire des tests et au moins 30 minutes pour faire la facture - il semblait qu'ils cherchaient à aller chercher un prix plutôt que de nous charger pour le temps réel à travailler. Facture finale: 1300$ pour temps (5h à 2 hommes) et matériaux pour l'installation d'un bain et de robinet de douche (le travail de mise à niveau du sol et de préparer la surface avait été fait au préalable par nous), il n'y a eu aucune complication ou délais. Le travail a été bien fait mais nous avons eu l'impression d'avoir été surchargés pour le travail effectué. Pour: - Ponctualité - Travail bien fait Contre: - Manque de transparence sur la facturation (comme par 'hasard', ils ont terminé le travail à 5h pile, alors qu'ils ont passé 30-40 minutes dehors à 'faire la facture'). - Il ne nous a pas été possible de payer par carte de crédit non plus, uniquement débit. Si vous souhaitez utiliser leurs services, nous recommendons de pré-négocier un forfait et/ou faire un suivi plus serré lorsque le travail demandé serait terminé.

We had issues with a certain smell coming from the tank but could never figure it out. We made a prompt call to Soltech who was able to send out Paul & his crew to my duplex to assess the situation that same night (December 13th) Paul and his team are super helpful and answered any and all questions, EVEN questions unrelated to the call. Paul was able to ease our minds since the first call we made we were told it is dangerous and to cut power off to the tank (Another plumbing company). So happy I made the call to Soltech who was able to ease our minds on the situation, turns out it was because we needed to pour water down the drain beside the tank! Will look to do future business with Soltech in the future! Happy holidays to you and your team!

Called in the evening for a water tank replacement as there was no hot water in my tenant's apartment, Paul helped me right away figure out how to best deal with the issue. I took pictures and sent them by text, he told me that the heater is still under warranty and doesn't need to be changed. Instead, he gave me the model # and the manufacturer's # to call to get it repaired for free under the warranty! He advised me that either its a problem with the heater or electrical and helped me deal with the situation quickly and efficiently, without having to pay money for no reason! Great customer service and trustworthy staff, will definitely be calling again for any other plumbing needs, highly recommended.

Excellent! We had a badly clogged kitchen drain for a few days and tried all the suggested remedies before accepting that we really needed the professionals. Our unit's owner contacted this enterprise, and the next day Paul the plumber was at our place (a Saturday morning, no less). He was able to clear maybe 10 years worth of accumulated grease, hair, and sludge that had solidified into a brick from deep in the plumbing and finally cleared the blockage. He also replaced some badly installed pipes to prevent it from happening again and fixed up some leaks. Throughout the process, Paul was extremely professional and explained what he was doing in detail. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, very disappointed by the lack of service and transparency. They came to our house twice, and both times were unable to do anything, and gave no solution or recommendation for next steps to take. First time, we were thinking it was just tough luck and decided to give it a shot again. Second time, unfortunately, we were just as disappointed to find out they could not do anything. We would have appreciated just being told upon the first visit instead of spending so much to find out. Despite the overall good reviews I have heard, I had a very negative experience with Plomberie Soltech.

I called this plumber to investigate a water hammer issue. They came and tested each faucet looking for the source of the problem. I asked if they had tested the dishwasher and washer, they said they didn't have to because it was impossible the problem came from there. But the problem did come from the dishwasher, I later found out. When I called them to signal this I was told, too bad, not our problem and nearly hung up on.

6 days!? Why do you say 24hrs as a business if the service you offer isn’t available for another 144hrs? Open 24hrs means now or maybe 1-2hrs delay.
