I hate writing bad reviews but I booked this company based on the reviews I read here and I wish they were a little more honest/detailed so I would not have wasted the money. I contacted them for a leaky shower tap and a leaky bathroom tap at a tenant's place - both pretty standard makes, nothing fancy. I sent in photos of each prior to the visit and described the problem as they told me that would spare them the time of getting parts. Both were supposed to be repaired at the same time. The technician called me after completing the job, saying that he only replaced the sink tap and would have to come back to fix the shower, after ordering 'parts' as the shower handle 'would snap off' if he went further. It was $450 to replace this tap here in the photo. $450 dollars people. Let that sink in for a second (no pun intended!). Four.Hundred.And.Fifty.Dollars. If I did the shower, too I imagine I would be in for a cool grand on changing leaky taps. I called Decarie to inquire about the details of this fantastic bill. I had to call 4 times as, every time I called, the person I spoke with asked me to call back the following day. On the 4th try, he finally had the bill and told me that the technician spent 1.5 hours there..My tenant confirmed he was there for half an hour tops. He finally agreed to take $50 off the bill. I called another plumber to fix my shower. It took him 45 minutes and he did not have to order any parts. Cost me $200 for the entire thing. No handles were snapped off in the process - he just replaced a cartridge that he bought at Home Depot nearby. I understand that every company works differently and no two situations are the same, but you ask yourselves how comfortable you'd be parting with $400 to change a tap.

We had flooding in our basement, and needed urgent service in anticipation of rain. Called several plumbers we had previously worked with. All booked. So we went with Decarie (with anxiety, after reading some reviews!). Managed to get an appointment within 24 hours of the call. The plumber they sent, Anthony, was super calm, professional, efficient, thorough, and self effacing (refused a tip I offered). Problem was fixed quickly; Anthony did several tests to make sure the problem was really fixed. Definitely a great experience and would use these guys (esp. Anthony) again.

A guy came to look at a potentially clogged sewer line, asked my wife if there was anyone who could give him a hand moving equipment (?!?!). The guy diagnosed something, charged (a lot) for it, didn't help at all. We called to complain, they promised to "make it right". Well, they came and charged us AGAIN just to not fix the issue AGAIN. Around $1,000 paid for nothing. Total ripoff.

Hats off to this wonderful crew (Adriano and Aiden, led by Max back at the office. The team arrived as planned, and left the place spotless. Billing was accurate and as budgeted. The team was available to do the work within a weeks notice (backflow valve replacement). I have no issues whatsoever in calling them again for some future work needed for my house . Thank you again!

One of the most responsive and professional teams we have ever had the pleasure of working with. We had an issue with our plumbing AND heating in the middle of the winter and they sent someone within the hour. Resolved immediately, with great customer service.
