I had a desperate failure of a major piece of equipment on my specialized bike just 7 days prior to attending a 100km ride in Melbourne. Allowing for AFL Grand final public holidays and Labour Day public holidays I really only had 4 days for the part to be sourced from Melbourne and fitted in Adelaide before leaving for Victoria. The staff at Bike Society were amazing- very knowledgeable, very forthcoming with a fix. Really nice people. Highly recommend any purchase from Bike Society and ongoing maintenance. Would certainly buy from Bike Society again.

Darren is amazing. He spent (what feels like) over an hour with me helping me decide on my next bike. Extremely insightful and passionate about his expertise. I would have made the wrong choice if it wasn't for him, appreciate his assistance a lot. Like. A LOT. Along with Dirk who was extremely patient on delivery day when it came to explaining how my new bikes features worked. Big thanks to Sam in the workshop at Bike Society in the CBD. A piece from a metal jigsaw went straight through my Roval CL50 rim while riding on ANZAC hwy. Even though I bought the wheels at a Specialized dealer in Sydney, Sam lodged the crash repair with Specialized straight away, and six days later, I am riding with a new rim, all covered by the crash repair. The process was seamless and a lot faster than I had expected. Thanks for the great work and service!

Also poor service. Walked into the Hove branch today. No eye contact, no smile, no welcome. Stood around the counter for 10 minutes. The 2 staff members had customers but were not doing a transaction, just talking. I walked out. The customers were middle aged men. I was a woman who doesn't appear to be a cyclist. But my husband loves it, it's his birthday tomorrow, so I was set to spend some money. I walked out. It was like I wasn't even there in the store.

Sam in the city store is amazing! Super helpful, welcoming, knowledgeable, approachable, and an all-around good fella. Provided me great service and help, answered all my crazy questions , and is honestly the reason I bought my bike from these guys - and what a bike it is! (Stumpjumper evo elite alloy) Hopefully management acknowledge these great attributes in Sam, and make them a focus for the rest of the staff, especially at the Hove store.

Quality friendly service from the team at Bike Society. Had my new canyon frame rebuilt and perfect and nothing too much trouble. Also asked if they could change my drive chain on indoor trainer and it was done in an instant. No questions. As a female with limited experience and knowledge of how bikes work this is the perfect place. They will go out of their way to help you without condescending. My new go to place for all my bike needs.

Bought a Specialized helmet here today - one of the top rated on both the Virginia Tech helmet rating tests & Folksam/Road Safety extended safety tests (tests above the Australian/US/EU standards). Plenty of colours and sizes in stock to see and try it out, some helpful service and advice, and helmet was recently manufactured (not from 3 years ago like another shop I went to!). Will use these guys again for sure. Big thanks!

Went to four different bike stores in the city: Reid, Giant, Bicycle Express and Bike Society. Bike Society was a cut above the rest, clear pricing and online stock indicators, they built a bike for me in under an hour and didn’t pressure me to buy that model, just let me try it. The Bike Society were great to deal with helping me to size and source a new Aethos road bike recently. They just ordered the bike size in we thought would suit me without any financial upfront commitment from me. This is really great service. Mark spent a lot of time with me sizing it up to make sure it was suitable too. I’m really happy with the purchase, the bike is just amazing to ride.

Excellent service. The colour scheme on the Specialized I was interested in wasn't in store but they were happy to order it in so I could see it. A few days later they had one ready to look at. Great communication, super friendly service, excellent pricing. Was really happy to purchase from them. They helped set me up with a bike fit before I left. Fantastic experience, highly recommend.

It was quick & easy to sort out. I ordered by phone & had it sent out. Which was prompt & well packaged up. Had confirmation that the parcel had left Bike Society in the City & was given a tracking number. So communication was first class. I would have no hesitation in using this service again. Amazing service! I was in urgent need of a hangar and was desperately trying to source one. Not only did bike society have one, they expressed shipped it to me in record time so I could participate in an event, massive shout out to Chelsea who gave me regular updates on the delivery, absolutely no need to do so, but something that was massively appreciated!

I took my bike in for their 'complete service', with issues around brakes rubbing, and asking for my hydro disc brake cables to be shortened and re-routed. They ended up charging me for a 'basic service', since they said everything else was in good working order and didn't justify the higher charge, and I raced the bike today, and it's never felt so smooth!

Awesome service from start to end , qudos to Sam waymouth street store, great pre- delivery demonstration/explaination along with showing how to load it in a small hatch back, also plenty of parking space at rear, so it takes out the anxiety of finding a park in CBD. Highly recommend store specially for someone novice like me getting into cycling.

Subpar customer service. Walked in an empty store with two blokes that had zero interest in serving. Poker face throughout conversation with one. Was all ready to splurge as a random purchase for weekend biking but left due to poor attitude. Overall disappointing experience, would definitely recommend other bike stores in town.

Was down for Tour Down Under and these guys were more than happy to assist with a front derailleur adjustment on the spot. Staff are all very welcoming and knowledgeable. Somebody stole the front quick release off my partners bike while parked in the city. Went to this shop and got a new one in no time. Guy looked busy but took his time to find a replacement for her bike which might have been some kind of a mission as she brought the bike from germany. Recommende this shop!
