I had the pleasure of dealing with Rob and Tao from 99 Bikes West Lakes when my Focus Mares was 'sick'. Tao was exceptional. Great to talk to and relentless in his search for replacement parts and damage to the bike. He made getting it back on the road effortless and more importantly, pain free. After keeping me updated through the search for replacement parts, Tao would always offer advice on the best parts and guidance on when i needed to source a part from outside of their shop. You see, my bike was not purchased from 99 bikes. None the less, it was treated like one of their own. Further to this, Rob was fantastic in helping re-fit the bike to me once it was back in motion. I had some issues with the way the bike was set up and Rob knew every trick and tip under the sun to help make the bike fit me instead of trying to make me fit the bike (like every other bike shop i've ever been too). As a result the bike is 10x more comfortable to ride and i have a smile back on my face. As a final point i'd like to point out the attitude and person-ability of the entire crew at 99. These guys had no issues shooting the breeze with you. Having a gas bag at things bike related or not. A wealth of cycling related wisdom that they are not stubborn enough to hold onto. Welcoming to all and quite clearly a community focused biked shop. I love that the service area is on the floor so you can see work being done on the bikes and Tao was always happy to provide mechanical related advice. So do yourself a favour. If you're an existing bike owner and it needs a tune up. If you're looking for that upgrade bike. Or you're looking into getting a bike for fitness or commuting purposes.... Go see these guys. Guaranteed you'll leave them with the right advice, support and probably a smile on your face.

After shopping online and realising nothing was in stock with the online shop, I decided to go into 99bikes West Lakes, SA and see what they had available. As soon as we walked in Jack welcomed us. I advised I was ready to buy a bike and was happy to just browse for a moment. As soon as I went back to jack for assistance he was happy to help and provided comprehensive information on the type of bike that would be suitable for me. He provided the pros and the cons of each bike we looked at let and allowed me try one of the bikes I was interested in. He went further by recommending certain accessories that would go well with my bike for the purpose of my needs and just made the whole experience a friendly, informative and welcoming experience! I decided to purchase the bike. Additionally, I signed up to the gold membership as he provided information on the benefits of this service and how it will assist with the already great price guarantee that 99 bikes already offers! I am happy to know that 99bikes west lakes will be my local store because of the service jack provided us! I can’t wait to go back to purchase additional items for my bike and to have this store with amazing customer service and friendly atmosphere so close to my area during my weekend browsing!

I purchased a Norco Search S2 and tons of accessories for my Mawson Trail Bikepacking trip. I was in and out the shop numerous times for different things for my trip and the service I received each time from sales (Sena and Michael) was excellent. They found products for me that they did not have in stock. I then sent my bike in for a complete service to ensure everything was ok for the trip. Tao was the mechanic and I was so impressed after picking my bike up as it was spotlessly cleaned and services so well, I could not have cleaned it better myself. I had previously loosened my stem top cap to flip my stem over and when I put it back, I had the logo sitting skew which annoys me and meant to straighten it. When I got my bike back from the service, the stem top cap had been straightened with me asking. This is what I call attention to detail! I will be requesting Tao for all my services! Will highly recommend 99 Bikes West Lakes. Even though they are a smaller store in comparison to others, they are big on service.

I cannot think of a better place to spend ones scarce Aussie dollars than 99 Bikes West Lakes. Rob & his delightful team consistently deliver exceptional customer service. The team ensured that I test rode a multitude of bikes to find one that was suited to my aging body. Today I took home a Norco Scene 2 with more than a little trepidation. My reservations were based purely on styling, as I already knew that this was the most comfortable bike in the shop. However, I wasn't sure that I was ready for such a deviation from traditional, road and flat bar bikes of my long cycling past. Well, I very nearly cried tears of joy today when I took this out on my first proper ride. The bike is amazingly comfortable but fun to ride at the same time. I was very happy with my experience at 99 Bikes West Lakes. I went there with my wife to choose her a bike, having previously bought bikes and accessories from other 99 Bikes stores. Our sales person, Dean was really helpful and friendly and extremely patient, picking out several suitable bikes and allowing us all the time we needed to try them out and compare them. We bought a bike that day, but having taken it home and trying it out more fully, my wife decided it wasn’t quite what she was comfortable riding. We contacted Dean and were able to take advantage of the 99 Bikes Perfect Ride Guarantee. We returned the bike in the same condition and ordered a replacement which was actually cheaper. The difference in price was refunded without fuss and a few days later we collect my wife’s perfect new bike. We are very satisfied customers and would highly recommend 99 Bikes at West Lakes, or any other of their stores.

The staff are too focused on up-selling you to a bike that is unnecessary for your purpose. Oliver, a sales employee, kept pushing to purchase a carbon made bike worth $2000 and seemed highly deterred when this was beyond my budget. This one time I let slide as it may have only been the one employee. Most recently I came to get one of my bikes serviced that needed some parts fixed too. I dealt with Tao who estimated a ridiculous amount of money for new parts and the service. He went on to insist purchasing a new bike in the range of just under $1000. The other employees around him agreed. I took my bike elsewhere for a service and new parts for around $250 and the bike is now in use very smoothly. I would not recommend any beginner to walk in this store as you may be overwhelmed by the staff.

What can I say One the best purchasing experiences I've encountered. I first purchased a Merida hardtail ebike through Jack. Jack offered Total professionalism & accommodated all of my needs and questions He's a true gentleman. Next bike purchased through Sena. Sena has a wealth of knowledge onboard and was extremely resourceful in sourcing the hard to get Norco Sight dual suspension ebike I was after. Again Total professionalism and dedication to outstanding service. In fact the whole team of guys and gals at this 99 store were great. Be it management or Bicycle Technician. Just picked up my tyre on which I was having a new tube installed. 1. The guy fitting tyres has no idea he was supposed to fit it despite the tyre/wheel sitting there for 4 days. 2. Upon getting home I discovered my bike tyre runs nowhere near true and is COMPLETELY bent out of shape. This absolutely was not the case when I took it in. Being that this is my only form of transportation this has massively impacted my day negatively. Will not be going back. EDIT. The bike has now been disposed of as I deemed there's not another shop that can service close enough and I won't be going back. Please don't ask me to contact the store in your feedback as I will not be doing so.

I came into the West Lakes store over the weekend, with a friend to look at buying an e Bike. We were assisted by Josh. From the start to the conclusion of the purchase Josh was amazing. He made me and my friend feel welcome, he was informative and knew his product well. According to him, no question I had was a silly question, and the whole experience was first class. Thank you, to the wonderful young lady who served me today . This being only my second visit to 99 bikes West lakes in Adelaide. I gave a scathing report at my 1st visit to 99 bikes. Vowing never to return to 99 bikes. The customer service was nothing short of sensational friendly polite smile on her face even laughed at some of my ridiculous jokes. If 99 bikes has rewards for awards for the customer service team this young lady gets my vote. unfortunately I don't know her name. Second visit the assistant fitted my new tyre to the rim and inflated the tube. In my first visit I was assisted with a said tyre upgrade, but when I got home found I was too clumsy to put on. I can't recall if the guy offered this option to me, but if I was prompted it would have prevented the 2 trips to resolve one issue. That said, both guys that helped me were fantastic, friendly and speedy in their service and I will return with confidence they can assist me. This is my second experience with this store and they were just as helpful that time also which gave me confidence to return on this visit.

I went in to 99 Bikes West Lakes couple days ago and WOW was I impressed. The level of service and help that was offered was far more than expected. The knowledge and willingness to share information was fantastic. I had some minor issues with my bike that the guys were more than happy to take a look and fix it on the spot rather than making me wait 2 weeks for next possible booking just to have a look at it. My partner and I decided to go all the way to Westlakes to look at a particular bike. We came all the way from modbury so we hoped the journey was worth while. We were promptly seen to by a welcoming and friendly staff member named Dan. He wasted no time showing us all of our options, regularly running back into store to grab us a different bike to test. He was very patient and understanding when we could not make up our minds and that was very appreciated. My partner and I both walked out that day having received great deals feeling satisfied. 10/10 * 5/5 * 100/100 *

While waiting for a venue near by to open, watched staff set up the store outside (bring the bikes out etc) the language that came from some of the staff was horrifying. The way one was speaking his manners were non existent and the swear words were just continuously running out of his mouth. Not the best look or influence while wearing a work shirt and sharing a carpark with a child friendly business. Not something I liked my children hearing. Maybe best to be cautious of manners and your surroundings in the near future as this may put other customers off also.

Amazing experience. We just went to browse and ask a few questions, as had no real idea as not had a bike in over 30 years. Rob was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He showed us a few different bikes that would suit what we were wanting them for, and after a test ride we purchased two bikes and picked them up two days later. We've had the bikes for a nearly a week and been on three rides, and loving them! They fit us perfectly and so far have performed exceptionally. Can not wait for more adventures, and shopping for more accessories at 99 bikes!

Great guys to deal with, very knowledgeable with bikes & parts. Best bike mechanics in Adelaide. They go out of their way to keep the customer satisfied. Having the 99 Bikes membership card is a great way of keeping track of purchases, none of this "do you have the receipt" talk, everything is online. I love the Shimano reliability and warranty, they make is so easy if you have to make a claim. They are proactive with following up queries and eBike specialists. 21,000km of trouble free cycling from my Shimano eOne Twenty 500 in the last 26 months.

I brought my son's bike for service at 99 Bikes West Lakes on Sunday 5th September 2021. One of the staff helped us to get the bike out of the car and bring it to the store. The other young man in the service department has assessed the bike's condition and quoted a price for service which was performed in a timely manner. Overall, we had a great experience at West Lakes store! Very helpful and knowledgeable and experienced staff here! I highly recommend to buy your bike here or if you already have one, get it serviced at this store!

Such a great store and got what I need and also ordered and at good prices they can give. All thanks to Sena, great guy, friendly and knows his job so well and is knowledgeable. From coming down from Ascot Park to West latest 99 cycles by bike and using the train, worth the trip. If you go there, see him and he can give you some great deals if you negotiate with him. This place is just sensational, Oli, Marcus and the rest of the crew are so helpful and knowledgeable. Always happy to spend time with you to make sure you get what actually works and suits you and your needs. They understand we are human and things happen and can change and they just roll with it and do whatever they can to help out. I couldn't recommend this place more if I tried, if you are looking for anything bike related head in and be impressed.

Great expertise shown and Oliver really took the time to explain pros and cons for each bike I was looking at. Was great to be able to test ride around the car park, this definitely helped me with deciding on which model. Ended up purchasing the Cube Aim 2020, I added some extra bits and pieces like shimano pedals and shoes. The bike was ready in 10 minutes to take with me after a checking over. First ride this morning was great and glad I bought it.

The team at 99 bikes have been incredibly helpful and generous over the last few years. I've been in with many bits and pieces that have needed repairing and they have gotten them all up and running again very quickly. Even with components that I've needed repaired last minute for races, they've gone above and beyond sparing their time to help me out. They have always been very helpful and I cannot recommend visiting their store more!

Thanks for getting my bike working again in time for my race! Appreciate being accommodated at short notice. My only criticism is the communication from the front to the workshop. Had to follow up after a day and a half because I hadn’t heard anything, getting worried about getting it back in time, and the guys didn’t pass on that I needed it back that day. Purchased an ebike recently at West Lakes. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and were very patient due to that fact that I am hopeless at making decisions and ask lots of questions. The ebike test ride was great and helped with decision making. Have spent today happily riding around Bel Air National Park, something I would not have done if the guys hadn't sold me on the 28inch ebike. Many thanks.

Went in today to buy a replacement bike. Said my price range and what I wanted it to do. Rob bent over backwards to help me out and advise me on what bikes were best in my price range. The guys in the workshop, despite being fully booked out for the day, made time to assemble my new bike and get it ride ready within a couple hours, which was definitely appreciated. Great store, would recommend to anyone.

Michael has a wealth of knowledge and will spend the time understanding what is important to you and providing a number of suggestions so you walk away with exactly what you want. His personality is extremely friendly so you feel comfortable with asking questions, trialling the product and or looking at other options. We had an awesome experience at the WestLakes outlet. We went in to get our little girl's bike serviced not really knowing what was wrong with it - it just felt hard to pedal. The representative was very welcoming and took time to understand our requirements and present us with best possible options. We left as happy and satisfied. 99 Bikes it is for us if it has do do anything with bikes!

I am so glad I found a great bikeshop so close to home. This shop has everything I could ever need but they are also prepared to order in anything unusual like specific tyres etc. The bike mechanic there, Tao Li, is very knowledgeable and helpful and went "above and beyond" to help me with my questions and to find the ball bearings I desperately needed. A GREAT team at 99 Bikes West Lakes. Had a run in with a stick in the first couple of hours of having flown in to Adelaide from Melbourne for the Festival of Cycling. The stick ripped out 2 spokes. I am 64 years of age female, I bought a bike at a different store and unfortunately have had trouble with my gears in working them out correctly. West Lakes shop has been so helpful and have adjusted my gears twice and explained in more detail how to work them correctly. A lovely environment to walk into the shop and be treated with quick service and with a caring attitude. 5+

Placed a click and collect order before opening on Saturday morning. Wasn't expecting a call that day but surely enough they got back to me and I was able to collect my product that day. Friendly service from the staff both on the phone and in store even with the technical issues they were suffering nation wide. They went out of their way to get it done.

When I had my e-bike serviced recently I reported an issue with the motor cutting out intermittently. Tao - the bike mechanic fixed the problem and my bike has now been running sweetly for several weeks. I was very happy with the overall commitment to customer service - so as I happy customer I will be going back for the next service.

Prompt and friendly service at the west lakes branch. Went in for repair advice for my sons bmx and the guys went above and beyond to help and at a very reasonable price. The bike was ready and fixed that afternoon. They even helped me get it back into the car...I know where to go for any future bike service and sales. Well done guys.

Went in to purchase some very small parts for a gear cable repair job. Was prepared to pay for the part but the guy behind the counter kindly gave me some from their workshop. Yes, it was a very inexpensive and small part, but nevertheless he was under no obligation to give it to me. For this reason I am giving them a 5 star review.

Stood around for 10 minutes waiting for someone to serve me. When no one did approached staff behind counter for assistance buying some clothing only to be told to help myself. Not very helpful. Very limited clothing range anyway. Would of bought several items including new tyres and floor pump but now will go elsewhere. Their loss.

Great experience for me. I researched what helmet i wanted, saw that 99 bikes had good prices (competitive with online sales which blew me away!). I went in and ended up buying another (better) helmet. Was pleased they had stocks in a few sizes, and the store assistant was very knowledgeable too. Much better than buying online.

All the staff at 99 Bikes West Lakes are so informative & helpful. This store has 101% good vibes ! All the staff are attentive listening to the individual needs and working through issues to make the right purchase. I am feeling confident that I can afford to upgrade to another top of the range E bike in a year or so.

I've been struggling to find a rear light that will fit on the aero seat post on my orange bike. Dropped in to 99bikes at West Lakes. Steve showed me this unit, ordered one in, and called when it was ready. Light works, fits the bike, and it arrived when he said it would. Can't ask more than that.

We visited a few a lot of stores when looking to buy three new ebikes, including three 99 bikes stores. All were helpful and friendly, but Oli and the team at West Lakes were exceptional. Although they are the other side of town from home, we continue to go back for any accessories we need.

I've always had great service here. From my initial purchase with Kieran to super fast bike service and repairs from Tao. The team at West Lakes are pretty damn good. It might be cheaper to buy online, but no free service there unless you're going diy. Don't hate on all bike shops.

Excellent suggestion and service, bought Endura shoe covers, size XL, nice snug fit on a size 47 Shimano MTB shoe. Hit them with a couple sprays of fabric waterproofing. First dirty gravel ride - wiped clean with a damp cloth. Great product, great service, happy customer.

They Don’t even know how to bleed to brakes properly me and my friend both needed to rebleed our bikes and both failed with no brake force at all, like I can’t even get close to doing a skid. plus they always say there booked out but there’s never anyone even in the store

Good luck getting served! Also had a bike repaired and to break the very next ride. Just not good enough. Customer care needs to be reviewed in store. Had a staff member sit at the desk near the repair area drinking a think shake saying he was too busy. Not a good look.

Excellent store good price on my GT Avalanche bike. Great service from Tao.A very warm and friendly person he is. He and the other staff make you feel important. Good old fashioned service and human interaction which is lacking when you buy online,.

If you need assistance, don’t go to 99bikes West lakes. The Staff are rude and pretentious. If you’re not there to but a 4k bike, they will treat you like trash. Terrible front desk staff!
