"AVOID THIS CARPARK, GO ELSEWHERE"
"Not worth a star"
"They have car parking available closer to all important event venues! I use the North terrace central car park a lot! It’s easier if you have the Wilson parking app in your phone and then you can easily book! Most of the weekends and night time parking they have parking from $5 to $8 fixed"
"I write this from the perspective of someone who has never made a formal complaint in their life, however, this establishment ought to be charged with daylight robbery"
"Absolutely dishonest policy of the parking"
AVOID THIS CARPARK, GO ELSEWHERE. I have never written a review of a carpark before because, quite frankly, I've never had a strong enough opinion to write one, until today. Cons: *The spaces are so narrow that you cannot get out of your car without hitting the car next to you with your door - I drive a small sized car and was parked between 2 other small cars (both parked correctly within the lines, so this should not have been an issue) and I had to get out via my back door *The spaces aren't long enough, I was forced to drive around cars as they were sticking out so far that you can easily clip them while driving through *The driving lanes (?) are dangerously narrow that you could easily have an accident or hit a pedestrian *The carpark has poor lighting and makes for a scary return to your car *The carpark smells of urine EVERYWHERE *I was asked for a lighter by vagrants sitting in a nearby open space, the lack of security and knowing that opportunists are watching your car, is alarming *Lastly, it cost me $15 for parking there for 1 hour when it advertised "From $4" on the sign outside (false advertising) Pros: *It's centrally located *You can enter and exit using your credit and or Eftpos card instead of taking a ticket
Not worth a star. Pretty poor. $10 early bird (EB) this w/e, we were in by 8:15am parked on level 5 as per instructions. Went back to Paystation at 2pm, got a $29.00 charge. Hit the call button, when somebody answered it, I was told I had to validate the ticket for EB, as noted on the sign at the barrier. The guy kept telling me it was there for my ‘perusal’ . He advised I should have validated on lvl 5, but there are no machines up there. The sign he was referring to is the the one with all the information on as you drive up to the barrier, the one you cant actually read unless you are down the further down the ramp or have the time to do so, whilst stopping the car, opening the window, pressing the ticket button and taking the ticket. No further advice/reminders through the car park on the way to lvl 5 nor anything at lvl 5 lifts. Normally park in Myers where they have reg. Plate recognition to manage the EB parking, so a lesson is learned...park at Myers... The website notes w/e as $6 and no mention of validation for EB, quite crucial and relevant information....
They have car parking available closer to all important event venues! I use the North terrace central car park a lot! It’s easier if you have the Wilson parking app in your phone and then you can easily book! Most of the weekends and night time parking they have parking from $5 to $8 fixed. When you are going to special events happening in the city Wilson parking will offer special discount codes which will give really good rates! When you book for an entry time and exit time they give 1 hour grace period both ways. Single entry! Can come to the city with peace of mine when you know there is a parking slot reserved for you! These night rates will not reserve a car park but you have to park at the next available unreserved car parking spot. Have always found parking spaces in level one or 2. Only one or 2 times had to go to the upper levels.
I write this from the perspective of someone who has never made a formal complaint in their life, however, this establishment ought to be charged with daylight robbery. I have used their facilities twice now and on both occasions not only have I been slogged the expensive base charge, but almost double my fair due to mechanical machine errors.Just today, a simple $10 park for around half an hour mind you cost me $17 because the machine took my money without conversion. There is no human interaction and no ATM's readily available in the event some of us don't have wads of cash ready for our parking experience. I for one refuse to ever park here again.
Absolutely dishonest policy of the parking. Last weekend on the entrance was advertising price 5 dollars. When I started to pay PRICE WAS $29, then I contacted with person through machine, she reissue a new $5 dollars ticket. This week was the same situation- price on the entrance was $10 , automatically machine issue $29, and after contact with them they reissue $20 ticket (that are still unreal price) Wouldn’t recommend this park. ABSOLUTELY DISHONEST POLICY AND YOU CANNOT CALL THEM ON ANY PHONE. Bette to park on the neighbors building much cheaper and more predictable price
Great local CBD parking. Narrow spaces and the carpark is quite dark. That said, the Web booking 'prior' to arrival is key as it is cost effective and so much cheaper than casual parking rates. Get the Wilson Parking app as it makes it a breeze. Once pre-paid,swipe your credit card on entry and exit (no charges done as already paid for) Another' useful tip is to arrive at 9.30am as Level 3 has parking spots opened up at that time. Remember levels 1 and 2 are reserved parking. Overall a great experience
Fairly priced parking, in the heart of Adelaide. Entry off North Terrace. The first two levels are reserved for permanent bookings. The lift takes you to the Charles Street Plaza on the ground floor. Quick access to Rundle Mall. You can enter David Jones from the third floor. Remember to take your ticket with you. You must pay at one of the many stations before you return to your vehicle. Cash or card. There is a pay station at the lift on the ground floor.
Dump hole!!! This guys reduced the space for parking (obviously to get more income....) and when I found both sides of my car scratched... They didn't assume any responsibility. It's the most expensive dump hole in the city without signs, indicators of parking spaces, bad illumination and upsetting workers.... Really really not recommended. It will be the last time that I go there. I feel that my car is safer on the street.
This is the worst car park, i understand they block some of the bay to stop the early bird, have no problem with it but I paid full price and it is after 9.30am and yet the bays are still blocked when the car park is quite full on the day, which I don't think it is acceptable. Also, the car park used to be quite good, but the park now has been rezoned so that they can have more parks. The park is quite small now.
Parked my car on Saturday morning before 8:30 as per the sign outside, it should have been $13. Drove up to level 6 where the validation machine was and there was nowhere to validate your ticket, except some confusing QR coding to prepay. Ended up paying $24 or so. Frustrating experience after what should have been a fun shopping day out. Adelaide council should look into this as its bad for the city business.
Worst parking. Most of the spots are reserved. They don’t show you outside that there is no parking available and when you go in you can’t get out without paying 4 dollars. 4 dollars for nothing, just going round and round to search parking and paying for nothing. Worst experience, don’t go in there, go to other parking nearby like Upark, much better than wilson parking just looting people.
I just received the most disgusting man on the help line when my gate didn’t open after payment. He was yelling at me for not answering questions I did not know about his system. I was absolutely taken back by such a horrible assistant. I am a regular parker (4 times per week) and will never park here again. I spoke to this man at 5:08pm ADL time. I hope this gets investigated.
This was the parking station recommended by the Adelaide Festival Centre as being close to the AFC. It is not. It is about 1.5km walk. The car parks are very narrow and it can be difficult to find the entrance, which is off a side street, when going back to you car. Not clearly signposted. As far as car parks go it is fine but if you're going to the AFC there are closer ones
I'm staying at an accommodation right next to this parking complex. I don't even know what triggers this loud, ear-piercing alarm that would go on for super long especially when it's 12AM on a weekday and people are trying to sleep. This alarm repeats over and over again and it takes forever for someone to respond and turn it off. This has happened countless of times.
They have reduced the car park space to add on more space in each line. It is like adding extra seats in a bus to squeeze more money from people's pocket. If you have a small car you should be fine but bigger cars will struggle parking the car and getting out of it without putting dent on someone else's car. I won't go there again.
I dont feel safe in here. I have balance and co ordination problems after i had 2 strokes. I was going to my friends car but found it extremely difficult to get down after getting out the lift. It was too steep for me and i almost fell. I feel somewhat traumatized by this. Should be made to feel like its safe to go down.
Don't park in this car park. I parked in the North Terrace car park. I went to leave. My charge was $10.00. I put in a $50.00 note and instead of cash was supplied with a Credit Ticket for $40.00. Now trying to retrieve my cash from the company. Proving to be very difficult as corporate office is in Hong King !!!
Wilson the greatest rip off in Adelaide. $29 for just a short stay. The car parks are so small that even with a small car I had to physically push my car out of the park before I had enough room to get back in. No staff and no exit signs to give anyone any idea of how to get out. Don't go there!
Good value when pre-booking over the internet or app (weekend or evening parking). The bays are a tight squeeze and there are no stairwells I could find. Only emergency exits that said "do not use, only in emergency". So you end up waiting for the lifts to get from level 1 to the ground.
PARK ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!! This is the most expensive crappiest car park ever!! They don't display the fee rates in a manner u can easily understand, just so u know its $4 for 30 mins, but so if ur there for 1hr 32 mins it'll be $16!!! PARK ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!!
On my day off went shopping in the city and this was the first place I thought of - make sure you make it yours; it's central and convenient to the Mall and arcades shopping, cafes, North terrace, Railway Station, Pulteney and Grenfell streets at a reasonable fee
Take the time to book in advance and the rate is quite good, but adhoc arrivals and by the hour is very expensive. Well located with easy access to the mall or shops, although getting around to the lift within the capark itself is difficult and very car centric.
Unfortunately Absolutely bad service, We made reserved parking to make sure we have our own place, someone park in my parking, when you call and ask help, the only response is , we make notice, What is the point when we lose our appointment? Very disappointed
Rip off. Extra charges added to credit card after already paying all day flat rate. Staff rude and aggressive and just talked over the top of me when I tried to get a remedy. TOTAL RIP OFF AND GOUGING. BE VERY WARY OF USING A CREDIT CARD WITH THIS COMPANY.
Our car was broken into and we were robbed and tyres were let down, the poor Wilson security employee tells us he's the only security staff for not only this building but 34 others. This is a billion dollar company and this is a disgraceful
Convenience to park especially connects to David Jones, very cheap if you book ahead online. But recent road renovation makes it almost impossible to get in to the parking as the traffic towards the Wilson on North terrace is very busy.
There's supposed to be a only seven dollar fee to park here through the festival centre if you have tickets to a show on a saturday night, but its not true. The company charges double because they claim an online booking fee. Deceitful.
Car parks can be a bit tight, especially with how some people park. Could be maintained a bit better a car has been dumped on level 2 up ramp for 6 months+ that I have noticed frustrating especially when car park is at or near capacity.
Very expensive but better than some for both getting a park and the space to manoeuvre around. Very convenient to David Jones, Adelaide Arcade, Regent Arcade, University of Adelaide, South Australia Museum and the Art Gallery of SA.
Very deceptive practice to not tell casuals that the car park is full, then charge them for doing laps and getting their car out. No human in sight. The only modern technology is the pay station and boom gate.
Convenient carpark to rundle mall and the institutional precinct of north tce with places such as the museum and art gallery. Tight for big cars but there are spots you can go to minimise hits to your doors
Disappointed that we tried to find a park here but there were none our car would fit in, when we left we were charged $4 for the privilege. Eventually found a park further away on the street. Sad but true.
Very dishonest business I will never park in a Wilson car park again they change there prices from day to day to what ever suits them is seems maybe a phone call to the ACCC might keep them honest …
Be warned!! there are NO STAIRS from the festival centre down to the Wilson car park. Expect having to wait 20-30 min just to get to your car :-/ Is this even legal/to building code??
Ridiculous prices and deceptive business practices. Signs out the front stating parking from $4 implying that parking won’t be expensive. Parked for just over 2 hours and it cost $21.
Paid car parking immediately followed by car parks-reserved no parking. This is the definition of an Oxymoron and the bloke that works here is just a plain moron. Well done Wilson.
Although a convenient parking location it would be nice to have ticket machines at each level and a stop light adjacent to the exit on the way out. Also a wash down would not hurt.
poor management, carpark took 2 hours to move 5 cars, what a joke, leaving my car here overnight will pick it up in the morning but already know i'll cop a massive fee.............
If you want your brand new 80,000 week old car to be scratched by TWO prams come here !! .... if your pram doesn't fit dont squeeze thru go around! 0 STARS NOW MY CAR IS SCRATCHED
Good car park (I reviewed this 2 years ago) Added today 3.12.22 as I just parked there again yesterday, the carpark felt very narrow this time and so busy, but great location !
Good location near rundle mall. The price is high, but clearly displayed before you enter. When I come here it's always busy and the parks are tight but wide enough for my car.
Not too bad. However, you got people parking on the marked off sections and not enough room between cars, you go there at your own risk and be prepared to get a few scratches.
This is only a question but considering there is an apartment complex nearby does this mean that people who live in the apartments get free parking? Do they have to pay too?
Been waiting 40 minutes to leave after an event. Need to just cop it and open the boom gates and clear the car park. Wouldn’t recommend this facility for any reason.
I dislike carparks. Dark, hard to manoeuvre especially when you only use, once every few years. So many reserved spots. I only came in for 15min and got slugged $5
Great carpark if you want to park your car and not be able to get out of your car. They have repainted the lines and tried to squeeze as many in as possible..
Very poor. $21 for 2 hours parking. Lifts filthy. Half of the pay stations out of order. Extra hidden charges for paying by card. Poor access. Not worth it.
Large sized parking area. Have to go a fair way up to find a spot to park. Close to the Mall and all the shops. #LetsGuide #parking #adelaide #shopping
Carpark was FULL! Cars were parking anywhere they could, was tight and chaotic, had to pay just to leave! Got a park immediately in the Myer carpark.
Quite stressful and tight car park. So many cars parked wrong and badly. Car damage would be bound to happen here! So many cars double parked too.
Overcharged by $8. Only one machine working. Machine wouldn't take change, so had to hold everyone else up while we hunted around for more money.
Too expensive! Parked for 3hrs and 6 minutes cost me $29.36!!!! Since when parking in Adelaide is so expensive! Will never park there again.
Difficult to find pedestrian entrances. Ample parking but you have to drive up past 2 levels of reserved parking to find public spaces.
1 of 3 lanes closed and other two held up for some reason. 1 Staff doing little to nothing to fix issue. Cars held up back to level 3.
Great place to park the car in the middle of Adelaide City. Prices are competitive but the first few floors may have reserved parking.
We used to always park here when we went to the city. Now we hesitate at the prices and only park there if it's absolutely essential.
Stuck in car park during fringe and have not moved in 40 minutes. Avoid booking here at all cost if an event is on in the Adelaide!!
Good place. May have to drive a few floors up as some of the bays would be reserved. But good and convinient. Not too pricy either.
Expensive!! No clear signage to exit!! Its a rabbit warren, keep going round in circles. Its as clear as mud on hiw to get out!!
Very convenient and reasonably priced with a Wilson membership. Spaces are just a bit squeezy, I think because of their angle.
Best car parking available in Adelaide CBD. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend if you are in town use this car park. …
Terrible Service. The CCTV system only cares about the payment machine. You can just expect a carpark only but nothing else.
Wow them prices are outrages, I feel like I just been assaulted .. that's why I DONT shop in the city ... That is criminal
The parking in this wilson car park is insanely expensive. I arrived at 630 am and exited at 3.10 pm and was charged $29
Waiting more that 45 minutes to get out of car park after concert. They need to be more prepared for these situations!
Good price, but the exit is very narrow and they only open the far left So if you have a bigger car forget about it
Probably not your first choice for parking. Layout leaves a lot to be desired and the parks are barely wide enough.
Bit struggle to find space but its always located in a very good convenient location. Good place even its small.
charges like a wounded bull, got charged $29 for parking from just before 9 am till about 12.05 pm... not happy!
The service we received when we had a slight hiccup with the Wilson Parking app and pre-booking was very good.
I always park here when we go into the city. I always use Book A Bay and the charges are more than reasonable.
Good convenient parking at relatively competitive prices... if you book ahead. Space is pretty tight though.
6pm to 8pm - $25 - what an absolute rip off. That's the last Friday night shopping I'll ever do in Adelaide.
Mainly park for the March from the mall and football games and the after function up stairs at adelaide oval
Good price to park at the city. Though A bit tricky. If you need some help, you'll find some helpful staff.
Charged twice for parking. All other parking on Sunday about 8$ I pre-booked but was slugged $20 on leaving
Right at the centre of Rundle mall and North Terrace. Very good location. Book online to get cheaper rates.
Expensive, dark and I couldn't find where to pay. If I wasn't on a bike I probably wouldn't have got a park
Never will i park here again, 45 minutes and still cant get out. Avoid this carpark!!!!! 1 star is to much
Over priced and no parking spaces. Luckily I was on a bike so was able to squeeze in with another bike
Very easy to get a park in the city to do some shopping, just a little expensive.$25.00 for 3 hours.
Convenient, affordable, but sometimes difficult to find parking, except on 5th, or 6th floor …
Used the online service to book a bay on a Saturday night & again on a Sunday. Easy & well priced.
I really like this car park. I use it all the time. It is easy and not hard like other car parks
This company is owned by some dodgy Chinese brothers, one of whom went to jail a few years ago.
I have a small car and the bays are far too small - you can barely squeeze in/out of the door.
Handy to my job, plenty of parks before 7am, and easy to leave before 4.45pm Monday to Friday
Booking online allows for convenient parking to rundle Mall. Book 2 hrs n get 2 hrs grace
Fairly typical car park. Bays are a little bit small but the location is very convenient.
Meant to pay $14 for early birth, end up charging me $30! Never want to park there again!
Unsafe, people coming out of here drive stupidly and don't obey pedestrian right of way.
Heaps of car parks glad I wasn't the one driving otherwise I would have gotten lost lol
Too expensive. Not sure if I had to pay more due to weekend but the place is unmanned.
A little cramped with modern SUVs, but that's the fault of people driving stupid cars.
Great to get into the theatre complex escalators for up stairs for down easy peasy
Friday night 2 hrs, paid $17, should be cheaper if you want customers in the city
Great for online booking easy to get in and out of going to the festival theatre.
It is convenient being right in the middle of the city, it is also very expensive
Unless you're skinny and have a small car I'd suggest you go somewhere else.
Good price parking and right in the middle of Rundle Mall. Very convenient
