Williams Funeral Home provided our family peace of mind during one of the most difficult moments of our lives (my father's passing). Their staff was extremely professional and patient. They took the necessary time to walk us through the various options. The funeral director, Sowka Barcacel, was the best part of the experience. She was attentive, detail oriented and laser focused on making sure all of my father's wishes and that of our family were met in a timely fashion. The owners may not recognize my Google handle, but I did use them for my dear Mother's cremation services back in September 2022 as her death was a bit unexpected and sudden, and Lori was kind, respectful and not pushy at all when I called nervously and emotionally to disclose that we could only afford the most basic of services due to finances. She was extremely informational (as this was my first time requesting cremation/funeral services for anyone in my family), and even sent me a quote so that I could think it over. The cremation itself was extremely affordable to my surprise and they kept me in the loop, were very accommodating to my circumstances as the arrangements had to be made over the phone due to long distance, and then when I flew out to NYC to be with the rest of my siblings and her surviving spouse, we came to pick my Mother's remains and though it was emotional, she was there to wave hello to us from afar on our way out and wish us well (even though she was on a call with a client). Her front desk staff took care of the rest when we came in and walked out with Mother. I would sincerely recommend Williams Funeral Home to anyone in the local Bronx area looking for compassionate and caring individuals not looking to exploit grieving families. Thank you, Williams.

To Williams Funeral Home: Death is not a crime. Think about all the effort your funeral services put into the ceremonial events after you have picked up the body. Why did you tell Mrs H's son and caregiver to "call the police" when her death was carefully and intentionally orchestrated at home? Why can't your funeral home work together with the care team and respect that the medical team also has ceremonial care events for her dying process. Maybe we want some time alone with thoughts or together with a hug which doesn't require law enforcement because being cared for while dying is not a crime. You were given my phone number and just now told me, when I called you, that you knew I was going to sign the death certificate. I knew which funeral home her family had chosen. What could the police to do with guns and hand cuffs if you knew I was going to certify the end of life and I knew a day earlier that she was going to die? Death is not a crime, its a life event that requires professional services. Please do your part to work seamlessly with the care team. Don't call the cops on an important peaceful moment, after all no other funeral parlor does this. They have my number and they call me first.

From the moment I called Williams funeral home, I knew they were the funeral home to use for my mother’s services. Not because they are my name sake, but Anthony, Lori and Elliot were indeed patient, caring, empathic and compassionate in all their conversations and dealings with my family and I. We didn’t feel rushed and everything was explained and transparent. Most importantly, our voices were heard and honored by the staff. On the day of viewing, everything was perfect and went off without a hitch. One thing that stood out for me was my mothers dress was sleeveless and the staff improvised and made sleeves for the dress to make sure she was appropriate for viewing. Their attention to detail was on point and I am truly grateful for Williams Funeral Home for making a difficult time for my family a pleasant effortless event. I highly recommend them to anyone for top notch, compassionate and profession services.

I couldn’t have used a better funeral home to send my Dad off. Lori and team was very helpful and empathetic the entire process. I had never been in the position to plan a funeral, but they they made the process so smooth for myself and family. The pricing was great. They answered any questions I had. The facilities are very clean and welcoming. Thank you for treating myself and my family with such good care. The only issue we had was that the Zoom guy Will that they recommended did not show up. We hired him to stream the service for siblings and family in Africa, so that was disappointing. I was assured by the funeral home that they wouldn’t be using his services any longer. The funeral home was very apologetic and offered any help they could. Please don’t hesitate to use Williams Funeral Home, you will not regret it. They exude patience, kindness, and comfort.

I want to sincerely say thank you to mike the funeral Director and his staff. My brother in law Thanh died suddenly, we called all over the Bronx and found Williams funeral home. Since the beginning mike has been so compassionate and accommodating in what we needed as far as services. The way they prepared his body and helped us set up the memorial was amazing. Mike was with us the whole time and even rode out to my brothers building and honored him with a white rose. We are Buddhists and the amount of honor and respect given was truly appreciated. Williams Funeral Home is outstanding! I recommend them without reservation. Our mom suffered a brain hemorrhage and passed away four days later. So we had a chance to contact Williams in advance of our mom’s passing and from the very first call, they were sensitive, caring and took the time to explain the options and everything we needed to consider. We never felt rushed, pressured or pushed into doing anything that wasn’t best for our family and our mom. The funeral home is spacious, well furnished and appointed and everyone made our mourners feel welcome. No one wants to plan or run a funeral for a loved one but it’s a harsh reality you may have to face some day and Williams Funeral Home met and exceeded all of our expectations. October 31st 2016 veiwing . my father passed. I had made all my arrangements before the time came so we could all be ready. The staff was great the viewing was amazing they did a wonderful job with preparing my dad he did look very handsome just like the photo. I have been to other viewing and this place is one of the best. Lots of open space very clean. I want to thank all staff members. I will continue my business here in future. Also August 2017 Had my aunt's viewing great job thank you. The key to a successful relationship with the funeral home is plan ahead if you could it makes everything much easier with an open communication line.

We absolutely recommended this Funeral Home. My family and I were attended to beautifully when making the toughest decisions of our life to this day. We were welcomed, educated on all different services and treated like family. The staff was very delicate with us. They met all of our needs and were extremely respectful of our space. I recommend 10/10 this place, all the people are very nice and they treated me with compassion, respect, polite. Soca is so amazing woman, and I never forget all she did for my son. Eliot is very professional. All the staff in general are very professional and they have compassion for your lost. The opposite other home funeral here in the Bronx, my son was at another home funeral and I need to transfer the body because was a lot of confusion. Beyond helpful before during and post funeral for processing of ANYTHING. Couldn't be more helpful and allowing for comfortable experience throughout the course of a trying time of the passing of my mother-in-law. As well, when a financial issue arose, they did not stress us out at all and took care of the problem without worry. A family atmosphere, very smooth experience. They have all resources, authority, and connections to any services required for the processing of all matters regarding pickup and burial of the deceased. My grandmother also looked gorgeous! They made her look younger and her makeup was beautifully done as well as her hair. They had patience and worked with us. We had some issues with bringing in the day the day before. They let us bring earlier the same day as the service. Their work speaks for its self. My father recent passed away and Williams funeral home provided the funeral services to help send off my father properly. My father was very neat and presentable for the funeral. They were always responsive, promptly returned any calls that we have. The Funeral home has passed down through the family and current owner Mr Andy Williams has been very helpful in personally attending to my father's funeral and escorting him to the burial site the next day. The rooms are spacious and clean and all costs were made clear up front. Parking is available on premises.

Williams funeral home helped my family. My grandmother passed away on valentines day of this year. The time love and dedication that the staff showed my family was outstanding. The compassion that they have allowed us to say our goodbyes in a calm quiet setting. My grandmother looked so peaceful. Makeup was done beautifully and her nails were perfectly painted with not even the slightest smudge matched perfectly to her dress. Constantly checking in on us to see if they could have possibly helped with anything else. I would highly recommend their services.

My sister and I pre-arranged my mom's funeral six months before she passed. She passed away on February 4, 2021. I have to say it's something special to know just how helpful they was with everything. As soon as you walk in someone is already asking can they help you. They lady in the front went up and beyond for my family. Not trying to selling on things or say it's best you do it this way. We recommend Williams Funeral 100 percent. The place is remarkable. Aesthetically pleasing, clean, and spacious. They did an amazing job with our grandfather. He was 100 years old and he looked great. But what truly stood out was the attention that we received during a very difficult time. Sowka, the young lady who was attending us, was out of this world. I cannot imagine a more respectful, thoughtful, gracious person. She helped us with absolutely EVERYTHING! What a blessing!

In this time of Covid, the task of coordinating my aunt’s last wishes with travel restrictions and the need for isolation was undaunting. I recently had services there. Everyone there were very welcoming and comforted. I felt working with them was easy and they made the process very easy. They are so amazing. I am a social worker working at a hospital and called them three times to get a quote for a patient and was clicked on twice and the third time was left on hold for god knows how long. Unprofessional and rude. Would've given them zero stars but google doesn't let me.
