I would highly recommend Central Funeral Home to anyone. My family and I had a funeral here for my recently deceased father. The staff was very professional, courteous, and empathetic, which made the process of arranging the funeral easy and allowed us to properly grieve at this time. We initially considered using Central Funeral Home because of a recommendation from a family friend. My dad was on hospice care so we were expecting him to pass eventually but it happened sooner than we thought. Central Funeral Home got us an appointment to begin reviewing details very quickly. During the process, they were very clear on what they needed us to do (when we began the process, they had not yet received the death certificate but they worked with us while we were having that finalized). During the process of booking the funeral, they were very upfront about how the process would look and how the costs would change based on our specific situation. For example, we chose to use a cemetery that was further away than they normally deal with but they explained how that would adjust the final cost. When we had nailed down all of the details, the director reviewed every item on the list with us again to make sure nothing had fallen through. In all, the process actually cost several thousand dollars less than we expected. I've heard of funeral homes profiting off of grieving families by up selling coffins but as we were looking through the available coffins my family and I felt no pressure at all to select any particular coffin. They had a wide variety available and we were able to secure one that made us happy, all for a reasonable price. For the viewing ceremony, every detail was considered and properly set-up by the time that we arrived. We were worried that we needed to get there early to help with arranging the flowers and everything but they took care of everything. We had family from outside the country who could not make it for the funeral but they set up a live stream! All we had to do was request it. The service the next morning again went off without a hitch. Since our cemetery was further away, I feared that it would be chaotic getting there but again, they handled everything properly and we all moved from the funeral home to the cemetery without a hitch. Again, the graveside service went off without a problem. One thing that meant a lot to me was that the employee from the funeral home noticed that the coffin was slightly off when it was placed in the ground by the cemetery employees (I personally didn't notice anything). He asked them to slightly reposition it so that it was properly set. We were very impressed by the employee's attention to detail. I hope I never need to use their services (because that would mean that another beloved family member has passed) but, if I do, I will be returning to Central Funeral Home.

Not an easy experience to face the sudden death of a parent and not really know what to do. After rushing back to NYC to face the shock, my aunt took us to Central Funeral Home where many of our family and friends went. As a physician familiar with funeral home stories, I was ready for whatever comes. However, I found the process very straightforward and smooth. Following the previously understood wishes of a simple funeral, Jason offered me the appropriate options, did not upsell and reminded me on all the details that needed attention (which he offered to take care of.) The price was lower than anything I have heard from my patients even with upgrades, and they were easy on payment terms. Due to a short timeline, I bugged Jason at random times on the weekend and evenings, and he was always very supportive, kept track of the details and took care of all the loose ends. He also introduced us to great flower shops which I had the best funeral flower buying experience for someone who buys funeral flowers often for my patients. The funeral day was very smooth, the pastor they found was excellent and I would say the ceremony and everything was simple and the experience was the best of all the funerals I have ever been to. Jason and the team constantly reminded me of the culture and customs we should follow so we honor the dignity. I am deeply thankful for the funeral home's supportive service. Being in the service industry, I could surely say that they have fulfilled that mission of service and more, for such a distressful and awful time for the family. Central is one funeral home I would highly recommend.

Central Funeral Home provided a professional and compassionate service during our family’s difficult time with the loss of my mom. From the very start, Augustine communicated and provided guidance with much compassion and kindness. No insensitive high pressure tactics as we’ve had experienced a few years in the past with a different funeral home. Augustine was very professional and efficient, never turning us away even when we unexpectedly dropped by with a concern. He has returned my calls even outside of office hours. He guided us with service preferences and necessary coordinations, in addition to spot on recommendations upon our request regarding flowers, urns and engraving. Jamie and Jason were also very helpful in assisting with numerous questions and coordination when Augustine was helping other families. They and another staff member assisted during the viewing service with kindness. My family and I deeply appreciate having Augustine and his supporting staff members guiding us through the service tailored to our family’s cultural customs. It was carried out respectfully and comfortingly during the sadness of our loss. Augustine’s gentle invite for the many grandchildren to share some thoughts of their beloved grandmother added even more touching memories of my mom. The funeral home setting provided a sense of peacefulness but most of all Augustine and his compassionate team members were exemplary. Thank you all very much!

We can’t thank enough Ms. Jamie Zheng and Ms. Nancy for helping with my mother’s funeral. Both are not only very professional but also very kind-hearted. Since my mom passed away twelve days before the Lunar New Year and most of the funeral homes won’t arrange the funeral during the holiday season because of the cultural taboo. However, it will be extremely painful and difficult for us to let mom wait for more than one month to rest in peace. Ms. Jamie is so caring and warm-hearted and tried her best to give my mom a heartwarming funeral one day before the Lunar New Year’s Eve. My mom’s funeral is the only one scheduled on that day. We really appreciated it. My mom’s condition was not great after passing away. Ms. Nancy keeps communicating with us about the makeup process and leaves all funeral attendees with a beautiful memory of my mom. Both accompany my mom to the cemetery in the very cold and windy weather. They worked dedicatedly with cemetery staff until made sure my mom eventually rests in peace. All staff handling my mom’s funeral in Central Funeral Home are nice, professional, and helpful. The facilities for the funeral service are great and the service was well organized. All fees are transparent, and the parking is very convenient.

DON'T EVER NEVER hire this funeral home, a relative passed away, I called this service to check the procedure, but I didn't sign any paperwork and not giving them an authorization take my relative from hospital. They claim my relative at hospital WITHOUT my authorization. I called them and asked them to release, they said will, but never did, after so many phone calls, they still didn't do it, I said if you don't release, I'll bring in legal action against them and file complaints at Dept. of Health and BBB, they said go ahead, and worse of all, they hanged up on me. A liar said calling me whole day, but my cell has no call records from them. I have a director from Bureau of Funeral Directing at Dept. of Health called them directly and that the only way they released my mom. An unprofessional and non ethic funeral home. Their license should be suspended. If I can give no star., I'll do so. 一个没有职业道德该遭天谴的殡葬公司-几天前我妈妈过世啦，法拉盛慈济的人推荐了他们，星期二晚上我打电话咨询他们，我没有答应他们帮我做这个服务也没有和他们签任何授权书。 星期三我授权社区里声誉好的另外一个殡葬公司去医院请妈妈的大体, 但是遭到了医院的拒绝，因为中央殡仪馆在没有我的授权书的情况下依然到医院HOLD 住了妈妈。打了无数次电话给中央殡仪馆，他们仍然不通知医院release，他们撒谎甚至还挂断我的电话，我又打电话，告诉他们如果不release 妈妈，我会请律师告他们并请卫生部涉入，工作人员曾先生说随你吧。 最后星期四卫生部的主管打电话给中央殡仪馆，负责人甚至都不回卫生部主管的电话，但是星期五我雇的另外一家殡仪馆可以去医院请妈妈啦。这种缺德殡葬公司应该被吊销执照！！！

My father passed away unexpectedly this month and I was in a hurry to procure a funeral home, casket, cemetary plot, etc. due to various time constraints. Came across Central Funeral Home (Flushing) online with stellar reviews and went to check out the location (along with a few others) in person the very next day. Was greeted by Nancy who was a pleasure to work that I knew right away that I need not shop around any further. This was my first time organizing a funeral and she helped guide me through the entire process. In the end, Central was able to accommodate our requested days, times, and we reserved a very large room with online streaming provided so that relatives across the country as well as overseas could watch. The facility is very clean, plenty of parking, and away from the hustle and bustle of main street / downtown Flushing. A special thanks to Jamie and Director Augustine as well. They are both absolutely a pleasure to know and work with and I now consider them 3 (Nancy, Jamie, Augustine) as good friends. Central is very lucky and blessed to have such a good working team. Thank you so much again.

When my father passed it was a distressing and disorienting time and I’m so glad we found Central Funeral Home. The funeral director Mr Ha was compassionate, kind, efficient, attentive, and gracious. He picked up the phone late at night and communicated by text to keep things moving quickly and easily. He made the arrangements go so smoothly and was very conscious of keeping the prices under control. At the time of the services the staff was highly attentive and respectful and set up both a YouTube livestream and a zoom meeting so people around the world could join in. They were there the whole time to keep things moving smoothly. Phillip and Andrew were on site during the wake and handled everything so well. The Central Funeral team was there every step of the way from the wake to the church funeral to the burial and really allowed us to grieve and honor my father without worrying about the details. Other reviews mention the driver who plays “Amazing Grace” on his harmonica at the end of the burial service. This driver was at my father’s burial and it was incredibly moving to hear this at his gravesite.

We cannot say highly enough about Central Funeral Home, Funeral Director Bongho (Gus) Ha, and his excellent, compassionate team/staff. Both my parents, and three of my aunts and uncles funerals were handled by Central Funeral Home. Mr. Ha was/is, amazing, very experienced, knowledgeable, efficient, very professional, and very caring person with great sense of humor and humanity. Last week my aunt passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday night. We contacted FD Ha on Wednesday. He arranged for every detail all via phone on Wednesday between cemetery and the hospital. When we met for consultation meeting on Thursday morning, every item, options, choices, and processes, was thoroughly explained and reviewed. The prices are honest, and very affordable. The viewing service on Friday, and funeral service at cemetery on Saturday morning went perfectly, without a single issue or a problem. The viewing service room provided by Central Funeral Home was beautifully decorated, very inviting and clean. We highly recommend FD Ha and Central Funeral Home, and their amazing staff with great enthusiasm!

Just wanted to leave a review and thank the staff at Central Funeral Home for providing excellent service all around to our family as we sent off my father, from preparation to the burial. They are a dedicated and considerate staff who care deeply about providing the right services to each family. Jamie guided me through with planning the service and was attentive to every detail, and she always made herself available to help me answer any questions or requests. Because we chose a Buddhist ceremony for my father, we had Jason lead us in traditional practices. He was very thorough and knowledgeable, as well as compassionate, which brought great comfort and closer to my family. Finally, Phillip helped us with the final arrangements at the chosen resting site. I really appreciated his professionalism as he communicated with the staff, and his kindness in wrapping up the service with our family.

My father passed away in August; Mr. Bongho Ha and his staff at Central Funeral Home eased my family greatly through the funeral prep. They made arranging the viewing and gravesite services for my father a very smooth process, and they kept us informed throughout as to what kinds of expenses would be involved and what we should expect. Augustine from Central funeral home did an amazing job directing my father’s funeral. He has over 20 years of experience. Augustine went over and beyond to put together a respectful service. From the very beginning when I called Augustine concerning the process of picking up the body, till the very last moments of cremation, he was always readily available and responsive. We initially booked the smallest room and unbeknownst to us many church people showed up. Augustine predicted that that might happen and immediately reserved the biggest room. When the funeral day came, Augustine was right, over a hundred people showed up and he even had to open up another room for the overflow. I’m very grateful for Augustine, he really stepped it up to make my father’s funeral as smooth and respectful as it could be.

My mother and I experienced our first family member passing with my grandmother this past weekend. With the amazing help of Mr. Ha and the staff, our grandmother was taken care of with much respect. The hair, makeup, clothing, flower and casket arrangements were all done very well, much to our pleasure...it was a difficult time for us but we're very grateful that the staff made the arrangements a smooth experience. One staff member played the harmonica beautifully as we said our final words...he and Mr. Ha waited patiently as we stayed behind until we were finished. The hearse driver--Philip, I think--was a kind, young gentleman who led the way well and explained everything clearly. My mother and I are extremely grateful to the staff here at Central. My father's funeral was recently arranged by Central Funeral Home in Flushing. Mr. Ha patiently answered all our questions and he took the necessary steps to ensure that everything went smoothly-- always displaying compassion and kindness. They did an amazing job with my dad's face makup and he looked so peaceful. Given the current environment, Mr. Ha and staff took all precautionary measures to prioritize everyone's safety. The memorial service was made even more special by the amazing gentleman who played the harmonica. Mr. Ha and staff also coordinated masterfully everything with our church and the cemetery. I want to thank Central Funeral Home for my mom's funeral. My family has been using Central Funeral Home for our funeral needs since 1991. The first was my grandmother, and the latest person who passed away was my mother. The funeral director Mr. Ha walked me through the steps and made my hard time a bit easier. The funeral make-up artist did a great job on my mom, and the two funeral staff who helped us at the Burial site did a wonderful job. One staff member took photos of the burial service and sent them to me later. The other one played his harmonica when we were laying the flowers in front of her picture. The photomontage of my mom was beautifully done. Most importantly, they respected our wishes as best as they could during the pandemic time.

The best and most caring funeral home in the metropolitan area. They did an amazing job on Dad’s face makeup. He looked so natural and rested. The florist they recommend provided top notch flowers and filled arrangements. The cherry on top was when we took Dad to the crematorium. After the casket was laid in the crematorium chapel we stepped into the room with the hearst driver playing Amazing Grace on a harmonica. The accoustics in the crematorium chapel with the harmonica was so comforting and soothing. It was the most appropriate farewell to Dad with Amazing Grace playing in the background. Beyond my expectations for the small funeral my husband and I wanted for Dad.

Recently my father passed away unexpectedly and Angie at Central Funeral Home made preparing his memorial and cremation super painless and easy. She guided us through every step and answered all the questions my mom and I had as we made decisions for the arrangements. Day of the memorial we felt super supported by the staff- they had guest books prepared, the service room looked beautiful, tissues available, live stream ready and they helped pack up flowers after. Not only did Angie make this process easy for us she was also available to answer any questions we had regarding the arrangement process and burial. Thankful for their support during this hard time.

As our family struggled to face my husband's sudden death, Mr. Ha the funeral director and his superb staff provided excellent guidance and support in planning the wake and all aspects of the services. He was very thorough and made the process smooth while being kind and compassionate at the same time. I cannot thank Mr. Ha and his staff enough for their professionalism and empathy during this most difficult time. They had covid safety measures implemented (contactless temperature checks and sanitizing stations) allowing us to safely mourn the loss of my father. Additionally, they are conveniently located and have ample parking. Most importantly Mr. Ha and his staff are caring, kind and compassionate. They treated us like family. Knowing we were overwhelmed by my father’s sudden passing, he patiently answered our questions and handled all of the arrangements for the viewing, church service and graveside service.

My grandfather recently passed away and they were so quick to help transport him to the funeral home within the hour. Upon visitation and the help of Augustine Chan, we had the funeral date set up from the service all the way to burial at a distant cemetery. Superbly done!! When my friend’s wife passed away, the central funeral home has done superbly great job. They did everything to bring confidence comfort and convenience for the family. The director himself has come out to the graveyard to show friendship love and care. Korean female staff welcomed us and offered visitors sign book and hot tea. Male staff person as driver came out, made arrangements of flowers well and did give proper directions to the visitors and family members. The staff members worked very hard in even the cold weather. Central Funeral Home in Flushing took care of my both parents' funerals, years apart. Its director, Mr. Bong-ho Ha, is a compassionate person with a good bedside manner and caring attitude toward our family who lost our beloved. He placed an article about my mother in Korean daily newspapers as she was the oldest person (110) whose death he dealt with in his 33 years of business. He is an efficient business man who came out to the Catholic church where we had a funeral mass; he took charge of matters from start to finish attentively. Thank you.

A month ago we had my mother's funeral arranged at Central Funeral Home. Mr. Ha and the staff could not have been more helpful - they went above and beyond to provide amazingly professional yet personal services, attending to every little detail that we did not think of given the circumstances. We recently had a funeral arranged here at Central Funeral Home for grandma Jung Ae Maria Lee and words cannot describe how amazing this place was. The staff went above and beyond to provide such professional services and made it a smooth and easy process for us all. I had my father's funeral on 11/10/2021 (Hahn Family). Mr. Ha, the president of the company, was very kind and accommodating. He even took pains to accommodate our last-minute request for casket change in the morning of the date of funeral. Because we arranged the funeral as the family only event, only one person, Phillip, the driver of the hearse, accompanied us for burial. Even though he had to do everything by himself, he was very efficient and helpful, so everything went smoothly.

In this time of the Pandemic and our lives all changed like never before in the history of Mankind, we could not have received more comfort, understanding, and professionalism from Mr Bong Ho Ha. This is second funeral I used their services for and most recently we had to transport my loved one to another state. Central Funeral Home coordinated and even negotiated the costs for transporting my loved one.

The staff at Central Funeral Home was so professional and very sympathetic to my brother and I, from the moment we walked into Central funeral home to make arrangements for our beloved father, to the last moment our family had at the cemetery. Jaime and the staff were very efficient and completed any request we made! The young man who oversaw everything at my father’s mass and spoke at the mausoleum was also very kind.

They were very professional with their work and helped us when our family was in a difficult position due to this pandemic. They were many workers inside who acted as family, the rooms were large and nice, and the parking lot was vey spacious. The manager Augustin Chan was very kind and took care of the funeral very well, if he didn't guide us through the funeral, we would've been lost on what to do.

Dealing with the death of a family member is never pleasant but Nancy and Augustine made the process easier to deal with. The staff at Central Funeral Home were warm and comforting during this difficult time for our family. Augustine went above and beyond to ensure that our family felt welcomed and was extremely compassionate. His guidance was very much appreciated during the ceremony. 다른 장의사보다 2배의 가격을 제시하여 동의문자를 보내지 않고 다른 장의사를 선정하여 연락 하였습니다. 2시간후 전화와서 시신을 자기 장의사로 옮기었으니 다른 장의사를 통하여 장례할 경우 운임비$700 달라고부당하게 요구하였습니다.그리고 다른 장의사와가격과 비슷한 처음 제시한 가격의 거의 반 가격을 말했습니다 .믿음이 가지않아 다른 장의사로 부탁했고 그로인해 비용이 $1000 초가했고 마음 고생이 많았습니다.중앙 장의사에 손해배상 청구중입니다. 또한 시신을 동의업이 거의 훔치어 가다 옮긴것에 대하여 요양원과 함께 재판 준비 중입니다.

한달 전 중앙 장의사를 통해 장례에 관한 모든일을 진행했습니다. 장례 당일 가족이 선택한 계약된 관이 아닌 다른 관이 사용되어서 물어봤더니 계약된 관이 준비가 안되 더 비싼 관(?)을 사용했다는 황당한 답변을 받았습니다. 장례라는 어려운 현실에 처해있는 가족들은 그런 난감한 상황에서 어쪌 수 없이 바뀐 관으로 진행을 했습니다. 관을 바꾸는 과정에서  연락도 없이 계약을 지키지 않은 상식을 벗어난 상 도의와 더 비싼 관을 사용했으니 좋은것 아니냐는 일방적인 변명에 마음이 불편해서 이 글을 씁니다.

This month marked one year since mother-in-law passed away. I would like to thank all the staffs for the funeral arrangements through the difficult time during the height of the pandemic. Nancy was extremely helpful and professional and answered all our questions and concerns.

Beautiful service with a well organized staff. They are compassionate and accommodating, making you feel like your family is their top priority. Augustine was our funeral coordinator and he went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience tailored to our family.

Jamie the service director was very helpful, she attended to all our needs, and the atmosphere of the funeral home was peaceful, all the cost was listed very clearly and no hidden cost and pushy sales tactics. Very greatful to have the service here.
