If you were like us debating which cafe to dine in at before your morning flight, you will not be disappointed with the Aviary Cafe Bar! Gorgeous views of the landing strips outside, friendly staff and a simple but quality menu. Even before seated, we were greeted and welcomed by staff and invited to take a seat. We ordered the Avo on Toast and Eggs Benedict with two coffees. At first, when my toast came out I thought the portion size was so small, and not what I expected for the price. However, this was hands down the best avo on toast I have ever had. The Turkish bread was so fresh and crisp, and seasoning on the avocado was really unique. Underneath the bread was like a whipped feta, which just topped off the whole meal. I thought, I could order a second serving right now. My only critique would be to have larger Turkish bread slices as they were quite small compared to the amount of avo. The eggs Benedict was also pretty delicious, the croissant base really made it unique to what the other cafes were serving. On top of the food, the coffees were also smooth tasting and quick to be brought out. There was a slight misunderstanding with our order however the waitress quickly rectified it with a smile. Thank you for a pleasant morning before our flight, we will definitely be back and recommend to others in the domestic terminal!

The girls at the front are just amazing. I know they must see a bill on different people but they always so bubbly and say hello. I never got her name but he has beautiful long black hair with a pen in the ponytail and hoop earrings - she was a stand out. She was attentive and ensured the place was tidy when she traveled back and forth between customers/kitchen. Very impressed.

Have been here twice of late and very impressed. Comfortable seating with mix of tables, stools etc. There is table service and great coffee served in a china cup if you dine in, but also do take away. . Perfectly cooked poached eggs for breakfast and range of other meal options. Had the best coffee here, and they can make it hot.

We had a delicious breakfast at Avery...& the service was excellent...friendly and efficient. (Bonus: my annoying food requirements were easily meet.) We are used to average/bad food at Brisbane airport so this place was a genuinely lovely surprise. We will be back! (Regular business travellers).

Just got off the plane and have a 2 hour stop until our next flight. I politely asked what beers they had. I was told bluntly they do table service. I pointed at their 2 taps and asked if they are the only beers they have. She said they are the only ones on tap but we have others in the fridge. I asked what they were and she told me to sit down and look at the online menu. Disgusting customer service. We spent our money elsewhere.

Spent an hour and a half here waiting for my flight. I was expecting the tapas to be small serves by the bravas potato was enough to mean I didn’t end up ordering anything else - great value. They don’t miss on the drinks prices but that’s the airport for you. My server Sophie was great - attentive, helpful and happy. Easily the best part of the experience

The service was not as good as 12 months ago when I last had breakfast. I sat down had to ask for a menu twice, placed my order, had to ask 3 times for my drink. Food comes out still no drink, had to ask again and nearly finished my food before I got my drink. It's a shame the waiter seemed like he did not want to be there . I Will try somewhere else from breakfast from now on.

Great service and quality of food. We transferred from an international flight so was a perfect place to spend some time. We have been here before and will certainly be back. We're both Qantas Platinum members so have the option for a free breakfast but are happy to pay for it here. As noted above, great service and food. Highly recommend.

Came here about 12 months ago, had ordinary service and terrible food.. decided to give them another go today, sat waiting at the table, no staff anywhere to be seen. Finally a waiter walked passed and threw a menu on the table while walking by, didn't say anything, didn't even slow down to acknowledge us.. Left to try the Newstead instead and will never be back.

By far the best place to get a meal at Brisbane Airport, if you’re looking to have breakfast before an early morning flight look no further. Don’t bother with any of the airport lounges. Freshly cooked, wide choice of meals plus delicious coffee. Wouldn’t normally expect this type of quality at an airport. Excellent.

I have dined at this cafe a number of times and found it to be quite good. Today was a different story, unfortunately. My coffee order was fulfilled quickly, however, I waited over twenty minutes for my food before enquiring how long it would be, only to be told the waitress hadn’t submitted it. No food for me today.

We had the best breakfast at the Aviary on Friday morning 14 October 2022. It put us in a very good mood for the big travel day ahead. Thank you to Mila who served us so graciously. I walked up to check out the menu. As I was almost about to walk away, one of the employees welcomed me, mentioned the beers they have on tap and instantly sold me. Had a great German beer and ordered their steak sandwich which was very tasty ! They put cumin I think on their chips and it makes them very enjoyable !

Not terrible. Good service, comfortable seats, but average wine & really average food. Super dry chicken souvlaki & churros so overdone with no discernible cinnamon sugar other flavour. Shame, would be a nice spot to hang out when waiting for a flight otherwise.

Had lunch there today. I ordered the Barra. It was the best serve of fish I have had in a long time. It was cooked to perfection and the side of radicchio with danish feta was perfect. The pricing of the menu was very reasonable and I would highly recommend a visit.
