"I couldn’t resist taking in a great lunch along with a scenic view at this summit cafe on Mount Cootha"
"Great views and food choices "
"A nice place to have brunch or lunch with a great view! Was definitely overpriced but to be expected at a touristy location"
"You won’t find the best food here, although you will ensure a great time with friend or even just for yourself"
"Worst ice coffee i have ever had made comment to the barrista 2 times and he said nothing just even took glass back and showed tipped in the garden as you can see cream is seperated and i have my food saftey cert 20/1/2024 approx 5:15 pm but rum and raisin & macadamia icecrean was good More"
I couldn’t resist taking in a great lunch along with a scenic view at this summit cafe on Mount Cootha. I had the squid with fries that was excellent and fun to eat. The staff was pleasant as well. Yes like various people have mentioned the prices are high but that’s the case everywhere you go these days. I enjoyed it
Great views and food choices . Service was good. But two separate orders for one table and food was brought out 20 mins apart from each other . First order was sausage roll with chips and another side dish which came out straight away, while the second order was steak and waited 20 mins , letting the first order go cold. More
A nice place to have brunch or lunch with a great view! Was definitely overpriced but to be expected at a touristy location. The food was pretty good, I have no faults except for finding a tiny hair in my food. It didn’t bother me though, I feel like this is something that just happens in the food industry. More
You won’t find the best food here, although you will ensure a great time with friend or even just for yourself. The atmosphere is pretty nice with an amazing view to city no matter day or night time. Sunset and sunrise highly recommended here. Warning ⚠️ be aware of the birds they are your competitors

Cafe and gift shop with arguably the best views in Brisbane, great place to take visitors and friends. Off road car parking adjacent. A great setting off point for various Mt Coot-tha walks or recovery from bike ride/ hikes. The coffee (and iced coffees during summer) are good as well. More
Ordered a flat white while waiting for the bus to return which was pretty good with a strong roast flavour. Coffee was quite expensive compared to the average price you pay in the city with a bit of wait time but was expected from the only eatery at the summit on a late Sunday afternoon.
This is where my wife and I had our first date, in the restaurant over 20 years ago. Fantastic place to take in the view of the best city in Australia. It's so so nice at night and even better on a clear night, it shows just how much the city has grown. Wonderful! More
The service at the till was great.. the presentation of food was great. BUT my bacon was not cooked properly, maybe rushing? The fruit need to be tasted as my pineapple was sour and hard my rock melon was green and hard. Don’t think I’ll go back.
This is one of the best meals I can remember, partly due to the fact that the ride/steep walk through the bush worked up an insatiable appetite. I normally ride the road loop which takes about 30 mins. Today I did the river loop through the
What a view! Good coffee, good service, great lemon meringue pie. Early morning is best for a coffee or breakfast with Brisbane as your backdrop. Stunning views over Brisbane and out to Mount Warning. Seriously, have the lemon meringue pie!
The service was sweet but reserved. It was quite busy, and the team was keeping up with the pace very well. My dad was a stick in the mud, and the service person was very polite to him despite his attitude. The lady serving was very sweet.
It used to be a good place for a good breakfast. But over time, the quality of their food has dropped drastically. It has decent but not great coffee, cakes are good but not overly fresh. And breakfast itself was eatable at best. Will give
The cafe had quite a nice atmosphere and I must bet I did enjoy the coffee. We did order a steak dinner which was a little expensive for what it was and the cooking was not that great but the salad was ok and it was palatable. It did cost
Big Shout Out to “The Cafe”… We had the best time …yesterday… it started with the staff… being friendly & helpful…nothing was too hard or difficult for us 5 Ladies. The food was delicious..& very well priced for what you get… we could not
What a terrible experience for my family. We ordered breakfast and our daughters wanted sausage rolls and we also ordered an eggs Benedict and bacon and eggs. When our food came out it all looked great until we cut into our “poached” eggs
So disappointing.. I hadn’t had any lunch so chose the daily roll. That was a mistake not sure which day it was made but definitely not today. It was terrible, stale, rock hard roll and was actually inedible. (It went in the nearest bin)
We have been coming here for many years, but sadly the service and food quality has declined considerably presumably under new management and staff with no hospitality training. We ordered fish and chips and before paying, I queried what
Atmosphere and food are good, but waiting time is crazy. There is not enough staff in this place. We have to wait half an hour to order and half an hour to get food. It’s ridiculous. Tables are all dirty and there is no one to clean! More
Still iconic view. Cafe not what it used to be. I used to be proud to bring visitors here. Now my first impression and lasting impression is dirty and disappointing. Run down. Just weeding and picking up rubbish would help. It is hard to
As a tourist location this place is such a disappointment for Brisbane. The view is undeniably stunning, but the cafe is embarrassing. Physically the cafe is so dated and untidy. The staff terrible. I asked what ice cream was dairy free
Awesome spot to stop for a coffee after doing the walk up. Gorgeous views over the city. I had a chocolate milkshake and my partner got an iced coffee and both were delicious. We also snagged an almond croissant which was very good. More
I ordered this plate of fries with chicken, but regarding the price it’s not worth it as the fries were pretty old as it wasn’t freshly cooked and the chicken wasn’t juicy enough and I also ordered chai latte in a mug which was $5.50
I'm sorry, I know I can be a little too harsh sometimes and in the past I've gone back and edited some reviews here and there. But I can safely say, unfortunately, this one will remain at 1 star.
Too long a queue just for an ice cream. Could have easily avoided the queue if the restaurant could just have two places to take orders. One for complex and one for simple ones like grab and go.
Whilst the views are nice and the area great for hiking, the prices charged by the cafe are not justifiable. $17.50 for a 600ml coke and a small lemon meringue tart, that’s really pushing it.
Our food arrived promptly despite a rather busy restaurant and we found a nice table with a sweeping view of the city and greater Brisbane stretching right to the horizon.
Food was okay but not well-priced being the only restaurant in the summit. Atmosphere is nice having the entire Brisbane view while sitting on the chairs. More
Good enough in relation to its touristy spot. Coffee was just fine. The place was a bit messy, of course understandable based on big turnover of tourists. More
Food was good. Thought it was in the restaurant but it's not. Had to wait for a table. Service was 'meh' I'll go back once the restaurant is back open More
When you walk from the bottom you’ve earned a beer - XXXX Gold the perfect choice - very fresh - most convivial. The salad was tasty. Relaxing atmosphere.
The nachos and lasagna were pretty good and pretty much value-for-money. You could sit inside and still enjoy the great city view in the evening. More
Took my mom for brunch, she loves the pasta salad and croissant salmon benedict was excellent!, brunch with view never goes wrong, ever!
Went to Mount Summit Lookout and happened to hop into tgis cave. Its the only shop on the summit Likhiye hence it's expensive. .
Serving of rice was awfully small for $26 chicken tikka masala. Food is not the best but it’s worth it for the atmosphere. More
Really nice views to have a meal. The fish was really good. Meals are a little overpriced, but worth it for the views. More
A nice place to have brunch or tea time. Although it's on the high side, the food is actually nice and decent. Tried
Always busy and popular. Parking can be busy. Popular tourist spot for city view photos
