I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Sugar 'N Spice Cafe, and it was a wonderful experience. The cafe is located in a charming spot in Brisbane, with plenty of natural light and a cozy atmosphere. One of the things that stood out to me about the Sugar 'N Spice Cafe was the menu. There were so many delicious options to choose from, ranging from classic breakfast items to creative twists on traditional dishes. I ended up trying the avocado toast, and it was one of the best I've ever had. The coffee was also excellent - a perfect pick-me-up to start the day. The staff at the Sugar 'N Spice Cafe were also fantastic. They were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in the door. They were also happy to provide recommendations on the menu and the surrounding area, which I appreciated. Another highlight of my visit was the ambiance. The decor was charming and whimsical, with colorful accents and cozy seating areas. The cafe was also filled with plants and natural elements, which added to the relaxing and peaceful vibe. Finally, I have to mention the bakery items. The display case was filled with an array of tempting treats, from muffins to scones to pastries. I couldn't resist trying a few, and they did not disappoint. They were fresh, flavorful, and expertly made. Overall, I would highly recommend the Sugar 'N Spice Cafe to anyone looking for a delicious meal or a cozy spot to relax in Brisbane. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly, and the ambiance is perfect for a peaceful and enjoyable dining experience. I can't wait to return for another visit!

Stopped in for some takeaway coffee on the way to work. Spotted a coffee and crossaint combo and made an executive decision to upgrade on the spot. Reasonable wait time. The crossaint was freshly toasted and had ham & cheese inside. The coffee was okay. I'd probably rate it a 3. Might try a chai latte next time. Interesting/ cool vibe inside with stock lining the shelves extending almost up to the ceiling. I took a video to show you guys what it is like inside. If you haven't been before I recommend trying it for the experience. Note: image of the coffee and food were taken at a different location (not at the venue).

Entering the store you will be greeted by a plethora of teas running down the entire length of the shelf. We had a pot of their apple cinnamon tea and green jasmine tea, both of which were fabulous. Amusingly, ordering a ham & cheese croissant means that its original 3D form takes on a 2D transformation between display cabinet, (I believe the sandwich press next) and plate. If you do not expect anything from a ham & cheese croissant you will likely find it enjoyable nonetheless and gone in a few bites. My only regret was not remembering to capture any of the food or drink in a picture. But you get the idea. The orange almond slice was moist and also delicious. Our two pots of tea and two nibbles only cost us $20.20. Fantastic and will return.

I’m traveling from the US in Brisbane for a few months, and consider myself an avid coffee drinker. There are so many coffee shops in Brisbane that I’ve made it my mission to try some of the best while I’m here. Having tried close to 10 already, this is the best so far and the only one I’ve felt compelled to write a review for. The service was fast and friendly. The cafe atmosphere was warm and relaxed. The coffee was excellent! I get an iced long black (Cafe americano) at each shop, and this one was by far the best. Strong flavor without any bitterness; a truly superb cup at a fair price. Don’t miss this one if you love coffee!

A tiny Cafe in the heart of the city, I always stop here first for a coffee before I do anything in town. Their coffee is exemplary, always strong, hot and tasty. You always see the same staff members working and everyone is super friendly. I'm ashamed to say I've never had anything from the cabinet but the food looks absolutely delicious and slightly elevated from what you'd get from the chain cafes. They also sell boutique teas, would be a great place to go for Christmas gifts. For whatever reason they do the BEST caramel latte I've ever tried, it's sweet, rich, full bodied and delicious.

  • Jaimee L Hage

Love this cafe. Such a nice, cosy atmosphere - especially for a nice break in the city. A real hidden gem, tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful little building with a wide range of teas, also a perfect place to stop in to grab a beautifully package tin of quality tea. All the sweet treats I've tried are lovely, come here often and usually get whatever lemony cake or slice is available. The pastries are good, coffee is good too. Such a cute little place, love it.

We are tourists from Sydney. Read some positive reviews and decided to hop over. Entered at 3.20pm to a very rude bald guy saying, “we are shutting now, we close at 3.30PM”. Hubby and I checked and said it says 5.30pm online. He rolled his eyes and very rudely heaved out an irritated sigh. “ I don’t know what site you use but I don’t have anything up there. Not google nothing.” I told him, we are leaving and will be sure to leave a review so other tourists don’t get dubbed and then rudely pushed out like us.

Popped in at 530am on Saturday morning while staying in Brisbane, earliest open coffee shop near our hotel. One person working and he was an absolute machine serving, doing pastries and making coffee. Our coffees were fantastic and he remained composed and did an amazing job.

City cafe's are often a bit overbearing and intense. I think it's probably a product of volume and expected speed of service. This place has a very warm atmosphere that seems to cut through those expectations. Service was prompt, and I was treated respectfully. Coffee was generally good, though not extravegantly so. What I really liked about this place was that I was able to take a 'genuine' coffee break, watch the city fly by and relax, even if it was just for the length of a long black.

  • Min B (ChocolateZephyr)

I love this place. The service is always great and so is the coffee and tea. Oh my, the tea. It's really good. They also have a lovely selection of sweet treats like macarons. And they have gourmet teas and the cutest collection of tea pots and cups to buy. The only issue is, the place is small. There isn't really a comfy place to sit down and enjoy your beverage. Not their fault really but maybe they could get cushions for the stools? Or you could just take-away.

Always can depend on getting a good coffee here. The same barista has run this cozy little shop for years. Looks like he can handle the continuous stream of regulars with cool panache. Best thing is he is open weekends in the CBD which is a bonus

Love the taste of the coffee. The gentleman making the coffee and helping customers with their orders was quite friendly and professional. It seems they have a wide range of tea options as well. However, i recommend nit missing out their coffee. The interior design is quite cosy and cool if u wanna catch up with a friend for a short talk. I dont know how crowded it is during the business hours tho. I had my coffee in the morning before peak hours.

  • Michelle Josselyn

Nothing went wrong. For weeks I have wanted to try this cafe for its nostalgia and ambience. I don't select five stars very often for a review, which is really saying something for me. Stunts and antics from retail and hospitality staff are the norm rather than the exception channeled by jealousy fuelled administration in my world, welcome to it. I had a soy latte and a passionfruit tart while I observed the lead up to the lunch hour rush.

  • Angie McLeod

Popped in for a quick soy cappuccino on a Saturday morning as the reviews were good and wasn't disappointed. The service was excellent and the soy cap was up with the best I've had and i was pleasantlysurprised at the price. The barrista knows his craft and is super friendly. The shop has a great vibe too. It's on my list now for places to take friends.

A very cosy little cafe that makes me feel like I'm in one of the many great Melbourne cafes which are tucked in every nook and cranny of the city. Very nice fresh pastries and the coffee is strong and expertly made. Very good and efficient service. It is a good place to sit in, or to takeaway. Opens super early, plus opens on weekends, when very few other cafes are open in the city.

  • Kath Usabal

Excellent coffee and even better service! The staff are all so lovely. I cant start a work day without getting my takeaway almond mocha from them first. They have heaps of pastries and sweet treats, catering to different dietary options (be it carnivore, veggie head, gluten intolerant or vegan, they've got something for you) The.apple berry loaf (gf and df) is my fave and a must-try!

  • Rafael dos Santos de Oliveira

Loved the quiche Lorraine and it was interesting to try a white chocolate mocha for the first time. The atmosphere was nice and relatively quiet at 11 am, even though it's in the middle of the city and next to a bus stop. Staff was friendly and polite.

This place serves amazing desserts and coffee. Their chocolate pecan & salted caramel gluten-free slice was so good I had to type it's full name into my phone and even went back to the glass display to take a photo of it because I had already finished mine off. The cappuccino I had was great too, so I think I've found the perfect cafe in the city. Can't wait to go again.

  • Natalie Skye

My favourite coffee shop in the city. Very welcoming and friendly service, quality coffee always. Great selection of sweet and savoury yummies depending on your mood and appetite. Love the fit out and especially wonderful if you can snap up one of the window seats looking out onto busy Adelaide street. Sugar 'N Spice is a little bit of old world treasure.

  • Nola Marta

UNPRETENTIOUS Coffee shop!!! Will definitely go again whenever I come to Brisbane. I only popped in to get take away cappuccino, but I was struck by how friendly the service was. So I stayed longer and tried their Quiche. The cappuccinos were wonderful too!!! And very well priced

Have been coming here for years, and the service quality is at a very high standard. The owner knows his regulars by name, makes the best coffee and food, and trains his staff very well, great atmosphere. This place is also open ridiculously early, which is good for someone like me, who is up before the sun. Perfect place for a post run coffee and food!

A visit here early on a Saturday morning for a hot chocolate quickly turned into additional purchases of a carrot cake and chocolate brownie after seeing the display. Enjoyed the food and drink purchased, and the customer service was fantastic.

Delightful find with all sorts of beverages to order including several fine teas. Coffee also popular judging by the the folks milling about & friend’s say-so. Also good selection of eaty things. Delicious GF Lemon Friand. A bit less chain coffee factory, but service super quick ! Glad I managed to stop by before heading home to chilly Melbourne.

  • Jordja

Quaint little cafe, tucked in from the busyness of the city streets. Perfect place to have an intimate coffee with a friend of catch up on some work while you glance out the window. Affordable snacks paired with delicious coffee and lovely staff. The walls are filled with different brands or coffees and teas you can buy, the aroma is magical.

  • Alan Millett

This is the café that non-coffee drinkers can appreciate and love! Besides serving good coffee (my coffee-drinker friends have given their seal of approval), they take their teas seriously. Service is always excellent. Their pastry case is filled with delicious pastries. Cosy, non-pretentious ambiance. Strategic location in the CBD.

  • Jess Lubbe

Favorite coffee shop in Brisbane! Place was packed when I arrived but they still managed to make room for me. The staff was very knowledgeable making some excellent recommendations and finishing my order very quickly. They were also very friendly laughing and joking with me when I r engaged them. They made my morning a special one!

A hidden gem. I'm so happy I found this place. Beautiful coffee! To it was so great to meet a barista who takes pride in what there doing, and pays attention to detail to create to most delicious brew ive had in the city for a long time. Can't wait to come back.

Love the vibe here! It is great and fabulous. The old retro vibe is so cool. The drinks here are amazing and delicious! I would really recommend this place.the iced tea here also not the regular iced tea you are thinking about sinxe it is really of tea taste.

Indeed they're open from 5am even on a Sunday, coffee is at the strong but subtle range of coffee(even with the extra shots I got in my coffee)it easily lasted about 4 hours down the highway to my first pit stop in NSW, Well priced, will visit again.

Wicked little Cafe with a great atmosphere and good coffee. Plenty of tea's to chose from to both have in situ or to brew yourself. Chai was a ok but the coffee was good. Would give it another go next time I am down that way and in the mood.

The owner is ridiculously rude, I called today to ask two questions and was answered with “who’s this?” To which I said I’m a potential customer and was asking about any possible parking nearby and whether or not they allow dogs outdoors to
