Repeated instances of illegal pricing practices pushed my management. Tonight I had myTHIRD instance of non confirming pricing practices at this location. I moved back to their area a few months ago and this store has been trash other than the Canada Post counter. Cashier refused to honour manufacturer coupon that sits on their own products on the shelf. Cashier states it’s only valid on the following purchase. “SAVE $1.50 now” and the instructions on the coupon from the manufacturer beg to differ. He offers a moronic “No see it says “upon receipt” so it’s only valid on the next one” in a condescending tone refusing to read that the whole sentence says (the first line of the coupon) “TO THE DEALER: UPON RECEIPT OF THIS COUPON”. I point out the actual sentence, he says his manager told him to not process these. No name tag. Refused to provide his name when asked. Refused to call a manager stating no one on site. Young looking brown/ginger hair with nearly a lisp when he speaks. 8pm December 22. This is not the first time they refuse their own pricing policies, even the government issued ones. Previously an item was on sale from ~$30 down to ~$22, scanned in full price and I reference the protection Du consommateur law that’s literally printed in big on their window. Manager on site matched the sale price and refused to issue the $10 discount even when pointing out the BOLD PRINT OF LEGISLATION RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. Didn’t bother bringing up the next 3 times the pricing error happened knowing that their staff here have been unfortunately useless when it comes to the law they’re obliged to follow. Kept the receipts and will be filing the complaint with PC directly as there’s something rotten at this store.
Terrible customer service compared to other Pharmaprixs and that's saying a lot (considering they are all rather mediocre)! I went in to purchase two food items on sale, which they carry and had in stock. When I got to the cash, I was told that they don't offer the discounts on food items because they are not technically a Pharmaprix Food Store Location.... wait, what? So they sell food, lots of food, all the basics and then some: milk, eggs, cheese, frozen foods, flour, tuna, cereal, peanut butter, etc. but they are not a food store location. Yet, the Monkland store in NDG (different owner and much smaller, so a lot fewer food items or anything else for that matter) also has this food item and the $4 discount is applied. So it's the individual store ownership and management at Pharmaprix Vendôme in Westmount who uses a technicality as a way to gouge consumers. I'm guessing they think the wealthy Westmount clientele can afford to be taken advantage of. Last time I go in that utterly useless store.
My review is concerning the post office of the store only! I received a parcel that I couldnt pick up in store so I called. First of all, the manager of the post office was rude and not understanding. I called asking if my friend can pick up my parcel for me with a picture of the delivery notice and my authorization for her to pick it up, which was never an issue with any other pharmaprix or any other post office really. Rudely she said no and asked for my friend to come pick up the notice and the can pick up my parcel. I understand that there's rules around those stuff but we're talking about an online delivery and it's not like other post office didn't let me in the past. even all of that beside, she was just straight up rude which is not an attitude she should have especially as she is the manager!
Terrible store. It was never great, but it's becoming worse all the time. Awful service, bad attitude, laughable trying to get someone on the phone. Less and less inventory, too. The Jean Coutu across the street has nice pharmacists and uniformly polite staff who go out of their way for you. Clearly , the owner of this Pharmaprix doesn't care about his customers. That's the shame, not, as a previous reviewer said, that they carry homeopathic remedies, which I view as a plus. (And, no, I'm not an anti-vaxxer).
Staff is pleasant and respectful, but very ineffecient in the pharmacrutical department and sometimes even rude. They manage to forget where they placed my medicine and took them one hour to find it, lady with hijab at the counter was also rude, impatient and unhelpful where I only manged to get my medicine when another male employee dedicated himself to find it. It was my go to, but it is now so slow you are better off going to the Jean-Coutu next door.
I was racially profiled by a cashier called Lucy (asian). She ignored a white man at the self-checkout but took it upon herself to leave the cash and place herself right behind be to monitor me while I was at the self-checkout. As a black resident of westmount, I am completely disturbed and embarrassed and will be contacting corporate. Also, the manager TJ was completely condescending and told me to file a complaint if I wasn't happy.
The worse pharmacy in the city honestly. I think I’m finally going to switch because it’s not acceptable that it takes me 3 days to fill a prescription. The pharmacy team for years has been so incredibly slow to fill prescriptions and it never gets better. And don’t even get me started on deliveries that they never send out. People need their prescriptions in a timely manner. This pharmacy is not responsible.
Go here if you want to always wait for your prescriptions. Even going through med ready and calling to make sure it will be filled - it won’t. Expect to wait at least 20 mins even if you called before. At least on 4 separate occasions I’ve had issues. I will be using the Pharmaprix on Atwater instead from now on. I never had a problem with that one and regret moving my file to the Westmount location.
Joanna is one of the best cosmetics department employee I’ve come across in a long time. She is very knowledgeable and patient with her clients. She gives her full attention and advice by matching they’re products to you’re preferences. Definitely worth the visit and will always come back to make more purchases. Thank you again Joanna for making my visit so enjoyable.
Had a pleasant experience at this pharmacy. Staff Was pleasant when I called and when i went there as well. A big plus is that they have a homeopath on site and can advise you on the plethora of choice in finding alternative healing solutions. Another positive was that said homeopath was patient, gentle, empathetic and professional. Will definitely be coming back!
superb service in natural products and pharmacists. willing to do the extra effort to solve problems immediately, suggest helpful new solutions, effectie first aid treatments . and excellent knowledge about meds and products. very helpful . always happy to come there. Rebate for senoirs very generous. five stars. maria b. , westmount (please do not post full name
Very friendly staff, they added self checkout machines that are easy to use and there is a clerk at all times around them if ever you require help. The parking in the back is also very convenient for a near-downtown location and there are electrical charging stations for the concerned cars. I have always found what I was looking for, great complete pharmacy!
They rarely ever honour the weekend flyer deals. They give you a lame excuse of why they don't apply despite advertising prices in the printed and online flyers; same response when I contacted corporate. They have recently started to release the in-store flyers until Monday to avoid honouring prices. I now go to the Monkland one despite being a bit farther.
I've used Pharmaprix Vendome for over 10 years. They call me to confirm any changes to my prescriptions. They once caught a prescription for which I have an allergy, missed by the doctor, and they arranged for a substitute with the doctor. The staff is always willing to offer advice. I feel well-taken-care-of. The post office in the store is very good, too.
Honestly bad overall service. Some time ago I had awful service at drug counter where lady told me they do not stock my meds anymore and basically she doesn't care if and when I will get it. Canada post counter has awful service with a rude and verbally abusive manager. Honestly with so many other places to shop I will never set a foot in this store.
This pharmaprix is the all time best, sure they have all the regular stuff but the pharmacy inside is absolutely the only one worth going to, had my prescriptions with them for years and continue to go there despite living across town because they are so kind, understanding and accommodating! Be nice to them they are all stars
Lousy service! Came back from the hospital after a major operation. I am in excrutiating pain and in bad need of pain relieving meds. I have now been waiting for the last 2 hours and when I called was told that i would have to wait another hours. No accommodation, no compassion for my pain. Do not go there if you can help it.
Booked a vaccine appointment - I called their pharmacist before booking to make sure they had that medication in stock. Took time off work since they only do vaccines during the work day. Got there early, they were running 15-20min late. Finally when it's my turn, they tell me they don't carry that vaccine after all. ???
The pharmacists are some of the rudest people we have ever met. And it is more than a one time offence it is a repeat offence. The supervisor thinks he’s some big shot and insults clients openly. I don’t know who they think they are or if they are insanely underpaid but this is not right at all. Embarrassing.
Lady at the Canada post seemed to be nice but impatient, couldn't wait 30 seconds to write down the return address for my confidential piece of mail and did 2 separate transactions for a debit purchase. Pay with cash here or you'll get transaction charges over the amount you wanted to spend here
I like the wide selection of make-up products available at this location, and some of the cosmeticians are SUPERB. I never feel pressured to buy stuff. One young Indian girl spent a lot of time with me helping me find just the right cream. She as nice, friendly, and non-pushy. Fantastic service.
The doctors working in the pharmacy are so rude. The doctor sent my prescription to them and after printing that she was saying anxiously what is that? I do not have it. I was like so, what should I do? The other advisor was yelling from the back while talking to me. I really do not back there
Extremely slow service at the Pharmacy. I can hear them talking about their personal lives right now. How about you ladies work faster by doing your job instead of chit chatting about your personal lives? Hi hi hi ha ha ha is all we hear while waiting for 20 minutes for a damn prescription.
Made my request of a refill online. I went to pick it up 1 hour after the time it stated it would be ready. Went to pick it up, prescription can't be found 10min later pharmacists says it would take another 30min to have it ready. This is not the first time. Will be changing pharmacies.
I went Feb 26 11:30am, the male worker with a white mask, blonde hair and blue/green eyes was dicriminatory towards me for being Ukraining. He asked if I was Ukrainian, I said yes and started yelling at me to leave the store because I'm not welcome. I think he might be a manager
The best experience and nicest people in Montreal. I was traveling for 3 days and left my blood pressure medicine home (NY). The pharmacist was nicest person I've met in Montreal and she helped me at her best. Thank you again! Unfortunately I couldn't remember her name. Shota
Interminable wait for prescriptions... after calling ahead! The staff at the prescription counter seemed confused and uncertain, in one case three of them were necessary to help one single person. And this after I learned the lesson not to just drop in to pick up a scrip...
Calling for anything is a nightmare. Every month I call the automated refill system (for medication that helps me live day to day, I might add) and 97% of the time the phone system hangs up by itself. Please fix the phone system. This is ridiculous.
Excellent service, helpful and friendly employees and pharmacists. I do find you usually have to wait but I find that to be reasonable, and I often pick up a prescription later or order it online to pick up the next day. Very well stocked too.
Slowest service at the pharmacy I’ve ever experienced. 6 people working behind the counter, 4 customers including myself and still can’t get anything done in under half an hour. Going to Jean coutu across the street from now on.
Pharmacy is insanely slow and the staff are rude, I always leave in a worse mood then when I come in. I get having an off day every once in a while but it’s literally every time. The pharmacy across the street is better.
The staff here is friendly, the service good, and the store is clean. Unfortunately, all the good things about this Pharmaprix cannot undo the fact they sell homeopathic nonsense.
Extremely slow in preparing medications. I've never seen any other pharmaprix branch like this. The only thing they're good at is providing excuses. That's usually on time.
They don't have freezers or a very large selection of products. Constantly running out of items that are on sale as they don't care much. But the staff are friendly
The slowest experience at a pharmacy ever. If you dont value your time and want to wait 45 minutes for 2 medications this is the place to shop.
the pharmacists are tripping. they comment on customers appearance, mock them, etc. at loud volume so everyone can hear. it's rude as hell
Go to Jean Coutu across the street - they have excellent customer service and are welcoming and friendly.pharmaprix is a disgrace.
Nicest pharmacy in Montreal. Always order online and it’s ready for pick up. The store is also dog friendly which is really nice.
Bad service once again. Will shop across the street at jean coutu fron now on. Need to hire staff who actually like their jobs.
Impossible to reach Pharmacy most of the time!!! I’ll wait on hold and get hung up on regularly. Fix your phone systems!!
I have high anxiety and the security guard kept following me and staring at me, so I ended up having a panic attack
Post office manager is very rude. She's been there for many years..I dread having to pick up my packages there.
Easy to get medication, even though my prescription was from another pharamaprix. Picked it up two days later
No matter when I come here, it’s always painfully slow. Absolutely maddening. I finally learnt my lesson.
Absolutely shocking way to keep customers waiting doing other work. No interest to keep customers happy
I make an appointment for the flu vaccination but an employee let two persons in before me.
The pharmacists are super kind !!! Their service is greatly appreciated ! Thanks guys :)
The employee were polite but the service was very slow, they can definitely do better
Great Pharmaprix! The staff is great, and I like the location and selection too.
Canada post manager was unhelpful and rude. I'll never go back there again.
Friendly staff, shelves always stocked. Pharma staff can be rude at times.
Excellent variety of high quality supplements and a naturopath on site
Wonderful knowledgable staff who always help promptly while smiling..
Very slow pharmacy..take about 1-2 hours for a pres.
Almost as good as the Kokozos PJC! Great sales …
Great location, good selection and friendly people
Has the best products and people are so nice!
The staff! Xx
