"Waited 40 minutes for a prescription I was told would take "15-20 minutes" to fill"
"A cursory glance at the other reviews confirms that I am not alone in thinking "what the heck guys, seriously?!" The Pharmacists are so slow I've seen mould grow on bread faster than these people fill a prescription! No wait, one could watch an entire Wooly Mammoth be consumed by the La Brea tar pits before you get your prescription"
This review is specifically directed to the staff at the pharmacy. To say the experience with this pharmacy has been horrendous would be an understatement. My mom takes monthly medication and one of the pharmacists "accidentally" placed the incorrect dosage in the correct bottle. If I didn't double check her medication the consequences could have been deadly. After that experience, I said "okay human error, we'll give them one last chance". Today she goes to pick up her medication for next month and they tell her to come back on Sat (today is Thurs) because she has enough until then. What in the actual f***? I called and spoke to the woman who turned her away and her excuse was as follows "Well the Government" I rudely interrupted and said "WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH THE GOVERNMENT?". She became extremely defensive and very rude. POOR SERVICE. Don't let your parents or grandparents come here. As of today transferring her file to Jean-Coutu down the street. Not to mention, when you need to wait to pick up medication the gentleman below is correct about ensuring your phone is charged. I once waited a full hour.
This pharmacy is a joke and most importantly they are neglectful. They do not take the time to try and find prescriptions that are faxed or called in. Their disorganization makes the person trying to get their prescription filled have to wait many extra days to get their medications. They've sent me back and forth communicating with my doctor all week for a prescription they've had on file the whole time, they just did not bother to look. In terms of administration skills, they can't ever find my file, can't ever successfully update my file and also can't keep on top of insurance information. It's brutal service and people who aren't feeling well really suffer due to their lack of compassion and organization. It speaks volumes that mostly the only positive reviews on this page are for the post office. All the terrible reviews reflect the pharmacy part perfectly... If I could've given this rating a 0 star, I would've. I won't ever bother with here again.
Terrible Customer service at the store at 8090, Boulevard Shamplaine Today 25 April 2021 at 4 pm. I wanted to buy a few things, like coffee and etc. Cassier, Customer service and the supervisor, she told me that her name is Jasmine, helped me after 4 times having asked the help. The problem I had with the prices shown up on the screen. The machine is very bad as you don't know the price on sale immediately, you need to make some manipulation to see. The question why I need to know that. ... It is why I had to ask for the help which the girl at the cashier desk refused to give me 4 times. Important to tell that the store is empty. No people in the line. I asked for the supervisor, Jasmine, she was not helpful as well. No customer was in the line , I need to add again. Just told me "Go out". They didn't give me the name of the cashier at the desk which didn't help people. I would say it is not acceptable to work by these way. Eugene
Waited 40 minutes for a prescription I was told would take "15-20 minutes" to fill. After 30 minutes, I asked what the new timeline was and they told me my prescription was ready now. But it was for the wrong format! When I clarified, they asked me to speak with the pharmacist. The pharmacist did not seem to understand that I needed a topical not PO formulation. I asked for my prescription back and they refused!!! If it takes them nearly an hour just to get a prescription wrong, I wonder how long it would take to get it right! I try to avoid leaving negative reviews but this is the second time having a bad experience at this pharmacy and I just had to leave a review to hopefully prevent other people from wasting time here (and still needing to get a new prescription and get the right medication eventually!)
A cursory glance at the other reviews confirms that I am not alone in thinking "what the heck guys, seriously?!" The Pharmacists are so slow I've seen mould grow on bread faster than these people fill a prescription! No wait, one could watch an entire Wooly Mammoth be consumed by the La Brea tar pits before you get your prescription. All joking aside these pharmacists are just terrible! I sat for over an hour, with no-one ahead of me in line watching drones with zero motivation or drive putz around and dilly-dally as my family waited in hospital. We will be transferring our files to Jean Coutu. Sadly I doubt this review, a clients temper tantrum or anything less than an act of God will speed things up. Go for items on sale but for mercy's sake save yourself some time and avoid the pharmacy!
If I could give zero stars, I would. I had never seen such incompetent and irresponsible workers. I needed a help badly because I was in pain. I called for their pharmacist, explained the problem and the fact that I was breastfeeding. They said they would call back. Never happened. A friend of mine had bought a wrong medicine there for $75, she revealed the mistake at home, came back, but they refused to refund or exchange for the right one. And those are the people in charge of our health. Also, the service is super slow, different workers say different things, what is confusing, they made me pay twice for a medicine which is covered by my insurance instead of even try to understand the situation. Never go there, only for the post office.
The absololute WORST service you can imagine. Ive never seen a pharmacy take so damn long to prepare a prescription. You can wait for a good 10 minutes at the counter and some girl behind the counter will continously walk by you and say nothing giving you the most cold, blank stare and then go serve some other client at another counter and when you say "Hey sorry but I was here first" she says "im not allowed to use that counter" SO WHERE AM I SUPPOSE TO WAIT TO GET SERVED. WHY NOT ASK ME WHY IM THERE AND GET THE RIGHT PERSON TO COME SERVE ME. And has the damn audacity to roll her eyes. Change your attitude girl or change job. And the cashier during the week at like 5 pm is the worst. No greeting... no smile... Go elsewhere.
Horrible experience. I was at the counter of the pharmacy at 21:45 pm. After being in the emergency for more than 5 hours I went to this pharmacy because it was supposed to be open until 10pm. Pharmacist was rude and refused to provide service. All I needed was a over the counter iron supplement that for some reason is not on the shelves. Pharmacist didn't care to listen explanation, he even didn't want to look at the medical order he just refused service and suggested a 24 h pharmacy. I had to drive for other 25 min, tired with my baby also tired in the back seat and then add additional 15 min to drive home just because a pharmacist doesn't want to honor the opening hours or even read the paper I had.
The worst Pharmacy in ALL of Lasalle. They are sooooo slow. You call ahead for yours meds they tell you 12h wait time to prepare it. You go pick them up its another 45-1 hour wait time. You organize deliveries with them, give them your credit card info, confirm a delivery window, the delivery never shows up. You call and they dont know what you are talking about. They yell at you over the phone. The rudest staff in all of Montreal. Terrible, terrible customer service and they dont even care. The pharmacist Jad, told my girlfriend that there are plenty of other pharmacies in the area if we are not happy. They need new management and some customer service training.
I love that pharmacy including to fill my prescriptions. They are always helpful and effective. Why all this bashing campaign lately against them ! I was there about 3 weeks ago at the cash in front and a girl was standing there yelling to everybody they should shop elsewhere. I asked the cashier and she told me she was an ex employee, frustrated because she just got fired. Is she continuing here yelling and bashing ?? wow calm down girl and relax. To the real people reading this, please don't believe everything people writes because it's probably all coming from that frustrated one. To the staff, you're great. Continue your good work !
The pharmacy is the most inefficient I have experienced. They are ridiculously slow regardless if you call ahead for a straightforward renewal. I absolutely loathe having to fill prescriptions for family members. They really don’t seem to have any regard for their clientele. I had yet another terrible experience this evening - this pharmacy is quite possibly the worst in the province. They should be ashamed of the reputation they now have. ADDENDUM: The pharmacy staff continue to provide deplorable service. I have had to address numerous errors- medication errors which are serious. And they don’t care if they end up killing someone.
They always put these inexperienced young men at the check out counter and they are as slow as snale. Even a turtle could go across the street faster than them . Everytime I go in there and they have one cash open and the line reaches the pharmacy. Customers hardly uses there self check outs. They need to organize that section of the store because it is a popular shopping place for a lot of people. I had complained about it but it had fallen on deaf ears. Sometimes I take their and brings it to Maxi and price match.
The pharmacy at this location is a nightmare waiting to happen. They have consistently miscounted medication and even given me someone else's medication. You need to double check your medication every single time. The pharmacists constantly change and the technicians as well. They need to get organized and check prescriptions before releasing them . Someone will get the wrong medication and it could possibly be a life threatening situation. It's a serious profession they should start treating it like that.
This store would not let me pay for my purchases with a debit card at a normal cash. They told me I had to use a self serve cash. I told them I did not want to use the self serve cashes nor do I believe in them. They were adamant about their policy so I left everything at the cash and walked out. I then went to the Carrefour Angrignon branch and had absolutely no problem with them forcing me to a self serve cash. This branch is my go to.I will stay put with them and never go back to the Champlain branch.
Thanks to the staff ! One tall clerk always helping us around and smilling Miki I believe ! And to the girl at the front on monday that helped my mother with her optimum card that she lost. She called the costumer service and stayed on the phone with them to make sure they were going to give her back her points ! My mom is an old lady and really spent a lot of time collecting them.My mom said her name was Candy.Overall nice staff, very friendly and always here to help people ! Highly recommend.
I now am on high blood pressure medication. Cost of medication $7 dispensation fee $12. I asked for a three month supply so i could save on fees, they refused. Pharmaprix ripping off pensioners .....very nice. Overall varies from poor to mediocre service . Sometimes i give them a few hours to fill prescription and its not ready when i come back. Wait times can be long to get served. Expect an epic wait on the phone if you call for prescription information. I've waited up 45 minutes on hold.
This service at this pharmacy is extremely slow. When I passed at the counter, I was told it would have taken 30 minutes before I got my pills. So, I waited until it was like more than 1h. I went to the counter and inquired about my medication and they said that it was still not ready. I had never waited so long for medication. I don't think I would ever come back to this pharmacy. This is my first time there and last time. Terrible SLOW service!
BUYER BEWARE!! lots of expired items on the shelves. the cashiers have little to no experience with pc optimum points - and spend their time telling you you're wrong instead of fixing the problem and getting it right. the location is convenient but i don't want to give them my business. i call pc optimum almost after every visit to complain - not seeing any improvement
Wow!!!! What a great pharmacy. I have never had better service. When you walk in the girl at the counter actually welcomes you. I went to the pharmacy counter to get a prescription and they gave me a pager so I could walk around and they call me when it's ready. The pharmacist made sure I understood my medication as it was new. Great service!! Thank you Pharmaprix.
Very very very bad service at the pharmacy waited 45 min for nothing when complaining that I am waiting for too long she told me you have to wait 20 min more, then precised that I received a call from them saying my prescription was ready she lied telling me nobody called you!!!!!!! Such a horrible place never going back there again
The customer service at this pharmacy has decreased significantly for some time. There is always confusion on their end for preparing simple prescriptions and they do not call to update if the prescription cannot be prepared- we had to find out once we arrived for pickup the day after calling. Lack of professionalism unfortunately.
Went to get a new prescription filled and had to wait 1.5 hours to receive it! Had they told us it would take that long, we would have driven home and come back later. Additionally, the pharmacist did not explain how to take the new prescriptions, so we had to call them later to get that info. Would never go back to this pharmacy
Went there last week because I am newly diagnosed with diabetes. The technician was so nice. She gave me a machine and made sure I knew how to use it before I left. The pharmacist made sure I understood all my medication also. I always have amazing service at this pharmacy which is why I keep going back.
I stood in line for 10 minutes waiting to pay for my articles. When I got to the cash a girl told me that they weren’t allowed to serve me and I HAD to use the self service check out which meant I would wait longer. Meanwhile two girls were standing at the cash doing Nothing. I left the order there.
The pharmaprix is a decent store. It has a lot of options although for drinks and other things there may be some or some that don’t have any drinks or need to restock ASAP. Other than that they have express checkout and it’s a decent pharmacie. I hope they have more selections and more varsities.
The pharmacy needs to improve their wait time, you shouldn't have to wait over an hour for a simple prescription. The customer service is mediocre and you need to pay attention to what is entered in your file or billed. I've decided to give my business to a smaller pharmacy on Centrale street.
I'm not sure why everyone is complaining about the wait time for medication. This is just how it is now days. They are probably short staffed. I call in my refill and go get the next day. Alot easier. Why not just pay attention to your refils properly. Call it in avoid the wait.
Never had a bad experience with them. Nor their wait times. They've always been great with great staff in the store part in the pharmacy department. I know some people have problems with the wait time but if you call ahead or get there as soon as they open. It's quicker.
After a 45 min wait they told me the prescription drug was out of stock. Paid for it and waited for 5 days without any news (need to mention I was in PAIN?) Thought a pharmacy is there for people in need, in pain. Just avoid this one, there are options in the proximity
Unbelievably slow pharmacy. Calling six or eight hours ahead doesn't seem to help them get things together any faster. Even if it is just taking a box off the shelf, expect to wait an hour or two for them to put it together once you are in the store.
The worst experience ever in a pharmacy. You can only see a pharmacist if you have a RAMQ. If you are an international student, you don’t have the RAMQ, they treat you like garbage. This is all to pick something off the shelf to treat burn.
It's a bright, well organized and stocked pharmacy. There is a cold food and freezer section as well as a good choice of some basic food items. They have good specials, a senior's shopping day, large prescription counter and a post office.
Have had many bad experiences with this pharmacy, especially in the last couple years. Either my prescription is not ready when I pick-up (even though I have followed their automated telephone pick-up time). I have been given the wrong
If you come to this Pharmacy I hope you are a patient person...be ready to wait bring a camper and get comfortable! Anyone else have this experience over the years? The store is good but the lab...well keep reading the reviews! …
I will never return to the pharmacy counter. Significant language barriers, terrible service. Someone named Saaaidya is completely lost and incompetent. Disastrous service and an example of how not to treat people. Abysmal!
Worst service ever. You get ignored by the pharmacy staff. They make you wait for way too long. Bring yourself a meal, a fully charged cell phone and lots of patience. A smile from the cashier would be appreciated too.
The wait is always long no matter what time you go. No really efficient. Waited 40 min for nothing; my meds were ready for half an hour already but they never called me to the cashier. Will be switching pharmacy.
Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. The pharmacist was confused about the medication prescribed and what should have taken max 40 minutes (when they told me 20), took over 2 hours. Unhelpful and rude.
Pharmacy is so slow, it takes over an hour to get your prescription, whether it's off the shelf or prescribed by your doctor. Staff is nice but it takes a LONG time to get your prescription.
I have been a customer for many years and was never disappointed. The staff is great, especially at the lab (Kathy) and cosmetic counter. Also, good location and lots of parking space.
The wait time for prescriptions is very long. I had to wait 50 minutes for a very simple prescription I have been coming to this location for years but this is the last time.
I've been treated rudely by the pharmacy staff and pharmacist multiple times at this particular location, the rest of the staff are polite enough, and knowledgeable.
This Pharmaprix is very helpful in what needed, and the Pharmacy department was fast and very informative with telling me what I had to do with the medication I got.
Came for a simple case for my kids and the pharmacist told me to consult a doctor... I got taken care of quickly at the other Pharmacy close by. Useless...
I was very please with the service and the staff. !!! So very happy to have changed my Parmaprix from downtown to the one on Champlain ....
Clean and spacious pharmacy. Friendly and helpful staff. Great selection , especially cosmetics, vitamins and supplements and electronics .
If you think its normal for it to take 24 hours to fill a prescription, especially for a newborn, you should not be in business. Period.
Well known as the longest wait for prescription drugs in lasalle. Rude technician although the store is great. The lab is terrible
Horrible Horrible service and I keep thinking it will get better everytime I set foot in there. Not wasting my time again in there.
When I walked in I was greeted by a "beauty specialist" who after I said to hello to in French and English, completly ignored me.
Slow, rude service. Shocking wait times. Added fun fact, they deleted their old profile which was full of negative reviews.
Pleasant atmosphere, not too crowded and a professional staff. Went there to get a flu shot. Will go back for other stuff.
The service is slowest I ever experienced. Staff doesn't feel bad that you have to wait an hour for your prescription.
Got alot of stuff to the countertop and beeped all my stuff then they said they have no bags..... I left with nothing
Longest wait time when you have a sick and screaming child. Staff just stand around chit chatting. Its disgraceful.
Absolutely terrible. Promised 10 minutes made me wait an hour for an eye drop. Never returning here.
Unfortunately I hate that pharmaprix, the cashiers are rude and you don't get good customer service.
Besides the lab, you find what you need but I find it to be more expensive than other pharmacies.
its the only Pharmaprix In LaSalle that lets you send a Fax By Post Office ( 1.30$ with tax )
Nice pharmacy , Helpful staff all over the place, specially for medication. Thank you all !
I love buying enfamil, parent's choice and diapers from here. Their discount is amazing.
Basic things like makeup and perfume...medicine...u can also get your flu shots here
Horrible service. Be ready to spend one hour waiting for your medication! Avoid.
Wide selection of beauty products, waiting time at the cash is ...way to long
Good service at this Pharmaprix. Strongly recommend if you are in the area.
Pleasant staff prices on some items high can be found cheaper at Walmart.
They are expensive for a lot of stuff you can get at the dollar store...
I use the post service here and it is good to have post office there.
Pharmacy services = not Always SUPER speedy, but OKAY overall …
Love this pharmacy! Close to home, and always find something to buy☺
My favorite store. Great prices and great service. Thank you all !
Well organized, good service but I hate the self service cashier
The cashiers are super friendly and provide excellent service.
Very unpleasant experience with the pharmacy female tehnision.
Great place to shop. Clean and well organized. Helpful staff
Worst pharmacy services ever. Waiting time is excruciating.
Good pharmacy you find lot of things Also a post office
The Canada Post/ LaSalle Office is in this Pharmaprix.
Not opened till 10 on Christmas eve...like they said
Consistently very long wait times for prescriptions.
Wrong hours listed. Close earlier than advertised.
My go-to pharmacie! Love the new self checkout!
Just love pharmaprix It's like a mini Walmart
