You never know what to expect when you plan memorial services but I would have never have imagined how helpful the funeral home staff at James Romanelli-Stephen would be. They stepped us through every step of the way from what would happen when they removed my father's body all the way through the selection of every aspect of the memorial services from the casket, the flowers, the prayer cards, prayers, etc. They were also very patient when we were undecided and gave us the time and room to decide on our own. They were also not pushing the most expensive items instead matching what we wanted to the best options. In addition, they were so honest that they refunded us some money when we changed services...when we would have never have know. My entire family was soo impressed with how they were so involved, their professional demeanor and how welcoming they were. They also did their best to accommodate some cultural requests we had regarding prayers and songs, etc. Really an outstanding facility, great staff and they made the entire experience as best as it could be. I want to thank Paulie for all his help. It was the hardest time of our lives and with kid gloves he helped us theought he process.. No words can tell you how grateful we all are. My dad was killed Nov 16,2017 while walking across the street to get my mom off the bus.. Life as we knew it stopped. I am the daughter ToniLou and from start to finish even after Paulie helped me a great deal... Had my mothers viewing here. Been here several times for other friends. Phill was a standup guy! He took care of all our needs. My mother looked beautiful for her viewing. They came into a couple times to double check and make sure everything was good. I’d definitely recommend having your loved or friend here so people could properly pay their respects.

Funeral home is easy to find located several short blocks away from woodhaven Blvd. There's a small parking lot. Clean unisex bathroom. Different size viewing rooms. Very organized and efficient. My Aunt was taken care of very well and looked very nicely. The family was extremely pleased with their service. Professional on time and efficient service.

They helped me preplan my mother's funeral in a calm manner. The director Phil went through everything thoroughly. He and his team were wonderful considering the circumstances. I am happy with the service that was provided. Everyone involved was polite and professional. You have me and my family's gratitude for the service you provided. Thank you.

My daughter's and I dear friend's brother died, so we went to pay our respect and give loving support to the family. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful even though the rooms had other friends and family there. The funeral home attendants had tissues out and kept refilling to fit the occasion. Would recommend this place!

In my time of grief Anthony was helpful and professional and personal. You hear about stories where the funeral home took advantage of grieving families, but that was NOT the case with me. They did everything possible to explain everything and give me several very affordable options to choose from.

From the first phone call to the day we picked up the ashes, the James Romanelli-Stephens staff were attentive, professional and compassionate. Their location is beautiful and clean. There is a downstairs lounge area for the louder folks or kids to run around. They also offer free valet parking.
