I really wish I could give a good review but I have to be totally honest. Staff friendly but twice now I have had my order stuffed up! Three weeks ago I had lunch with my son, we got our drinks, my son received his meal and after quite a wait, realised that my meal wasn't coming! They had forgotten my order!! I had to get back to work - hungry! Had our money reimbursed. Went there by myself today, ordered raisin bread and 1/4 strength cappuccino. Was informed no raisin toast, so was given another slice instead (very nice) but they forgot my coffee!!! I had to go and enquire - finally got coffee which was so strong I couldn't drink it after my initial order of 1/4 strength!! I had to get back to work!! The cafe is in close proximity to my workplace, pity I just cannot go back there!

I used to come to this Cafe frequently on my way to work. I was always happy with my coffee quickly assembled by the muscles man who previously worked there. Unfortunately, since the new owners, I haven’t had the pleasure and ease of the past experiences. It seems like a complete and utter shambles in there. The first time I went in post new ownership, they gave my latte to the wrong person and they didn’t realise and ended up waiting there for 15 minutes. I wanted to give them a second chance as I only thought it fair, as I was quite annoyed. But I write this damning review as I walked away the second time coffeeless and late to work…

One of the best cafes in Hobart easily if not the best. Wonderful staff who treat you with kindness and are always going above and beyond for customer experience. They do some fantastic hot drinks and have a large range of breakfast and lunch menu items. Recommend eating in if you can since they have a downstairs sitting area. So plenty of room to have a nice social catch up with a friend or two!

Such a beautiful and cozy cafe with delicious food. I can't describe the atmosphere except for the word 'cozy'. The staff were also so accommodating and friendly. Very excited to come back

Needed breakfast and this place was close by... So got eggs Benedict and a large Capp - yummy Best part was they didn't over kill with hollandaise sauce so I could enjoy the flavours of the egg and bacon. Good job guys!

Popped in this morning to try breakfast somewhere new and was really happy I did! Love the interior fit out of this cafe; very retro. Plenty of quite spaces to sit down and relax. Staff were friendly and service prompt. Coffee was really nice as well. Eggs on toast done to perfection. A strong recommend from me!

Disgusting bland food. Neither of us could finish our meals. The cookie we ordered was way overcooked too, had the texture of asphalt. Milkshakes were tasty but had no ice cream in them at all-star just flavoured milk. I do not recommend this tiny poorly decorated vomit shack to anyone.

One of the best breakfasts I've had - the hollandaise sauce was phenomenal ! Everything delcious, very friendly staff, 10/10. Pictured is their smashed avo with haloumi and hollandaise on the side.

Asked for a soy large hot chocolate and they gave me a regular hot chocolate without soy then when I said it was wrong the lady who worked there snapped at me and said I didn't pay for soy or a large. Normally like going there but not going back.

Fantastic service, music complements space which is real cosy , food is spot on and has those simple homily flavour's and the affogato is a must try you also get free flavour shot with it . If you haven't been I would highly recommend a visit .

wonderful place, very cozy with homey atmosphere. the guy at the cashier/making coffee was super friendly and fast, coffee and smashed avocado were delicious! would come back again!

Aptly named Gone AWOL sits in Barracks St, just near Anglesea Barracks, Hobart’s Defence Centre. The cafe is small and cosy with breakfast bar and a quiet dining room. Service was quick and friendly.

Unfortunately I don’t have images to share. Take my word for it, you won’t regret having brekky here. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and a couple coffees that were spot on and well presented.
