The owner must not be in a good mood today. I went in and the staff told me to grab a seat and I told her that I only wanted a coffee and a slice of cake. She told me that it's fine to order at the counter. When I went to the counter, the male owner (Danny) told me (in an already raised voice) that I should grab a seat first so that the staff will get my order and cutlery. I tried to tell him that I was only getting a coffee and a slice of cake but he didn't try to listen and continued to tell me to grab a seat in a raised and annoyed voice. When I turned around to find a seat, the female staff that I was speaking to earlier was behind me and apologised to me as she saw and heard the whole thing. The one star is for the attitude and mood swings of the owner because he was calm and had a normal voice when I paid the bill. Also, I don't want to play the race card and only tried to think that he was only in a bad mood however I saw that he was friendly and polite while serving caucasian customers (he even went out to put freshly cracked pepper on one of the customer's food). Apart from that, the staff was friendly and very accommodating. The coffee and cake were nice.

Our last brunch stop for our Tasmanian honeymoon, and the best meal we'd had all week. Everything was absolutely amazing, including the atmosphere and service. My husband ordered one classic eggs benny (from the Eggs Benedict section!) with some extra halloumi, and peppermint-steeped hot chocolate, both of which were the best he'd had. I'm a relatively new coffee-drinker, but I've worked at a café known for its coffee, and the almond latte I got was excellent! Well made, well-balanced and comforting. If you're indecisive like me, go for their "3 Little Pots" option. Instead of choosing between an eggs benedict, avo toast or fritters, you get a selection of all three at a lower price than buying a whole plate of one of the options; truly delightful. I couldn't walk out without buying a chocolate chip bikky the size of my face from the front counter, which now occupies a high rank in my entire experience of baked goods.

Whisk & co has always been a nice spot to visit. Yesterday I was disappointed with the menu item I got with a very average display of an egg bagel. Which one wouldn't do a review over let's be honest. It was the long hair entwined in the salad that is quite Disgusting. We could openly see in the kitchen hair out on the chef or cook ynder a hat but not tied back. When telling the waiter about the hair in the food the response was after we had finished our meals and drinks we were asked if we wanted anymore drinks. We didn't, as we had nearly finished our date. No acknowledgement about the hair in the meal when approaching the counter and no discount either. I found this poor. I wanted to say something at the time but I did not want to embarrass my friends. Shame as this was a brunch option I once loved. Sloppy yesterday.

Stopped in for breakfast with friends and got a pulled pork eggs benny. Pork wasn't dry but just a little plain, and wish I had a bit more hollandaise sauce but otherwise it was a pretty satisfying meal. Also got a peppermint hot chocolate where you steep the peppermint in a teapot before you pour. It had the perfect amount of peppermint, but the hot chocolate itself was not great. There was lots of delicious looking cakes, biscuits etc, but we just got some mini meringues to go which were delish. Would go back again to try some if their desserts and the service was great as well.

Every time I go past this place they are always doing a roaring trade so I finally decided to help myself to some breakfast and try them out. It has a nice atmosphere inside and I was greeted by the very friendly and helpful staff. I decided to treat myself with some Egg Benedict and follow it with a cappuccino. I was delighted that instead of ham they used bacon which was cooked perfectly as was the rest of it. The whole thing was very delicious and was thoroughly satisfying. It all cost about $25 which was definitely worth it considering the quality and service that came with it. Outside is dog friendly so if your out for a walk and you want to stop in for breakfast or lunch you're covered here.

It's always really busy and the staff go out of their way to look after eat in and takeaway customers. Food is excellent, menu changes seasonally which keeps things fresh. Coffee is great.

Dietary restrictions
They ALWAYS ask if there are any dietary restrictions which makes it feel like it isn't an inconvenience. They're open and honest about what is in their food which makes it much easier to choose something to eat, and will recommend based on your needs.

I know this place does good food, even great. I know the Rueben sandwich is the best in Hobart. I know the decor and design is perfectly fine. I appreciate that they have the paper, and that they cater for kids and pets. But the service is just so hit and miss. I don't care that there was a hair in my fish and chips - it was delicious and I don't care personally I just wanted you to let chef know. If I want to swap tables it's not because I hate you, I just want to sit in the window. If I want another coffee after I've paid, please don't sigh, I'm trying to give you business. Anyway keep up the delicious sandwich work and Lenah Valley thanks for being a great cafe.

I've been living in hobart for a few months, living right here in Lennah Valley and I always see this cozy cafe every morning, but I never stopped for a coffee and then the code crisis came19 and it wasn't even possible. This week with the most flexible rules I managed to go with friends to have breakfast. I confess that I was impressed, first class service and a very wonderful menu. Today my day started in a very different and happy way. I highly recommend Cafe to anyone who doesn't know it yet. Absolut delicious!

What a busy place this is! You know when it's that popular, it's got to be good and we weren't disappointed. Grace was an absolute treasure, obviously loved her job. The food, we were there for breakfast, was delicious, plenty on the plate and presented beautifully! The Hot Chocolate was perfect too. Well done everyone

Lenah Valley's best (and only) breakfast spot. Located in the main commercial strip of Lenah Valley, Whisk & Co offer both indoor and outdoor dining. The menu is aimed at the brunch market and the owners have created a great choice of offerings. My only gripe from my most recent visit, was the young member of staff offered pepper and placed it on top of the salad, rather than the corned beef and eggs. That said, service is usually really good and the meals delicious.

Set in the outskirts of Hobart city, Whisk and Co is definitely my favourite cafe in Tassie. The coffee and chai latte tasted yummylicious, maybe because of the richness of the milk they use. The staff was so friendly and attentive. 3 Little pots is a must try if you wanna have a great breakfast before you start exploring this country side of Australia. The first thing I did after landing is having breakfast and absolutely loved it. Must try place.

Although the Cafe was clearly very busy when we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and promptly seated by the window! Beautiful view, impeccable service, and good food. The staff were very attentive and willing to accommodate reasonable requests! Give it a go!

This place is not child friendly. As I was attempting to manouver around the over crowded cafe I was repeatedly loudly told to move my grandson and his pram. After the lack lustre meal the waitress stacked plates and knives on one arm dropping a sharp knife on my grandson in the process!Luckily there was no injury but no appology either.NOT HAPPY!

Very disappointed by a smashed avocado dish. Avocado was old cold and tasteless, served on a small piece of bread. Very small quantity of goats cheese with two very sad little cherry tomatoes with peeled if skin. Toped with awful coleslaw. The owner? Dries cutlery while looking at costumers. Bloody awful experience. Coffee sad too.

Lovely vibe and friendly staff. A great place to have brunch but can get a little noisy inside (which means people are enjoying themselves!). Loved the potato soup and the cold pressed juice. Even the toasted "Rachel" sandwich was a delicious surprise! Didn't try the coffee this time... But it sure smelled good?

This is one my favourite cafe's in Lenah Valley. The chicken chilli burger is my favourite but no matter what I order I am always happy with my meal! Staff are great and always happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in this area.

My friends and I stopped by this place on the 8th of July. We'd just landed in Tassie and it was our first ever restaurant /cafe we visited. The food was great and the waitress was so kind and very welcoming. Please give her a raise she made the start of our trip really pleasant.

Had an excellent lunch today. Corn fritters while they could have been a little bit more flavoursome, the salad and the accompaniments made the whole tasting experience most enjoyable. Man had Reuben Benedict. Again excellent. Coffees beaut. Great cafe. Highly recommend

Friendly staff, good service, independent and local. A lot of whisks. Had a great reuben for $14 dine in and it was worth it. I also go in for the avo/cheese/egg bagels ($12 TA), or sub avo for bacon.
