When a loved one passes, it's extremely hard to know what the next steps are. The staff at Forest North Funeral Chapel were not only kind and sympathetic, but helpful in guiding me through the process. They were able to keep on top of all the details when my family and I couldn't. I cannot say enough good things about Gina, who made herself available to me and my family around the clock. These things can move so quickly, and you need to make a ton of decisions, but Gina was calm and patient and supportive while never missing a single detail. We are forever grateful to her, and all the staff. Also the day of, our funeral attendant Kevin was so kind and supportive, and was always available for any of our needs. His presence was so appreciated. The home itself is nothing like I've ever seen. There is only one service room, and so we had complete privacy. There weren't multiple rooms and multiple gatherings...the day was set for us and our loved ones. You don't realize how impactful that is until you are in it. Everyone in the home that day was there for our sister, and no one else. It was very special. They also have a lobby area that we were able to cater. We were able to bring in sandwiches, coffees, and drinks. This way, we didn't need to stop down and leave for food. It allowed us to spend every moment we could with our family- this was something I also didn't know was needed until the day of. We were able to make a slide show, and a Spotify playlist, which played throughout the home the whole day. Overall, between the music and photos and food and complete control of the space, it felt like a special place set up just for our sister and family to say goodbye. If there ever comes a time you need funeral arrangements, I strongly recommend Forest North Funeral Chapel. They make something dark and difficult, into something beautiful and memorable. The short review: We recently lost my father-in-law and I keep saying, I never knew I would be raving about a funeral home so much! Everyone we dealt with was absolutely incredible to put it simply and made the entire planning process a breeze, which is huge when grieving. The long review: There was so many tiny details that made everything perfect to celebrate our loved one. The beautiful obituary website they provided allowed us to customize and post arrangements, share memories, and so much more. We were able to play my FIL’s favorite music throughout the night through the Sonos app and have control of the whole system. It really made it feel like more of a celebration than a sad funeral. We were able to setup my FIL’s favorite treats as a refreshment area with help from the team as well. The room itself was beautiful and new and everyone kept saying, this doesn’t feel like a sad memorial, it feels bright and happy. It was VERY nice to be the only family in the building and to feel like this was our place for the day. Gina in the office made everything so easy with the gorgeous obituary page and all the details leading up to the memorial. Owner, Pat us feel like family and made sure we had everything we needed from the music app, valet, and everything else. John and Beck were also a huge help. And then, if you’re lucky enough to have or request Steve as your day of director, then you are beyond lucky. Steve was our lifeline and made everything so easy. He explained each step of the day’s events and what we needed to do, he made sure our family always had water and whatever else we needed, and was one of the kindest people we ever met. This was our first big loss of our adult lives and I truly don’t know how we would have done this without them.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank Pat and Ashley for their amazing compassion and support in planning and conducting a memorable funeral for my mom. No one wants to think about funeral arrangements, especially in a time of grief. Ashley was by our side throughout the process, from the first phone call through the interment. She was attentive to our needs and wishes. No question was left unanswered. She was patient and compassionate. Ashley helped coordinate setting up a beautiful video collage of my mother's life. She handled all of the transactions which lifted a tremendous burden from us. I never felt like they were trying to sell us anything. Pat is the Funeral Director and he treats you as if you are family. Most important is knowing your loved one will be treated with respect and dignity. I felt totally confident having my mom under their care. The location was beautifully designed; a very clean, new and bright facility complete with valet parking.

I can't say enough good things about Forest North Funeral Chapel. The entire staff - Pat, Gina, Paula - really went above and beyond to ensure that our family was supported during this difficult time. They were patient and kind about answering our questions and appropriately guided us through the process. They were culturally sensitive to our family's needs and helped incorporate our customs. It was amazing how quickly they were able to prepare everything for the funeral. They dressed my grandmother's sari perfectly, coordinated everything with the crematorium, and even set up a Zoom so that our relatives from out-of-state/India could attend. The chapel is beautifully modern and our family had the entire space to ourselves. If you are looking for a caring team and an intimate space, I highly recommend Forest North Chapel.

My family and I will forever be extremely grateful to Pat and his wonderful staff, Dana and Paula. They each went above and beyond during such a difficult and sad time of our lives. The passing of our dad was so sudden and unexpected and if it weren’t for the help and guidance of these incredible people at Forest North Chapel, we would have been lost. Pat, Dana, and Paula were more than understanding and empathetic, they demonstrated human kindness. Our dad was able to have the best funeral, memorial, and burial thanks to all the accommodations Forest North Chapel provided us with. Specially when having to incorporate our families two religions. Beautiful place on Staten Island to say goodbye to your loved one. I lost my daughter unexpectedly over 2 week's ago and they held my hand through the grief and planning. Super friendly!! Pat (owner) really knows how to tailor your wishes, and his staff treat you like family from beginning to end. Paula is a 'Gem', Very Attentive to family requests and needs. Gina never stops working to get it right. Nilda operates as a attendant and is priceless!..she blended in like family while keeping things in order and running smoothly along side her husband who operated as security. They never missed on opportunity to ask if I was okay. I miss my daughter deeply and I thank Forest North Chapel for having the vision of celebrating her life over loss with 'Class........ Randi .

I honestly do not know where to start with these awesome people. They went over and beyond for me and my family, I was also able to have the repass there. Although the staff was fantastic, I have to give Paula a special shout out. She walked us through step by step and I really felt at ease. I been In many funeral homes but this one was the prettiest I ever been in. The decor is elegant and it made me feel like we were really doing a celebration and not a home going. Mr. Pat was so accommodating to us also. And guess what? They had the best package and they beat out all the other funeral home prices. Forest North Funeral Chapel in Staten Island it is one of the best places to work with . It was absolutely beautiful and amazing place for our family. Our mom passed away recently.We worked with Pat and Ashley. The staff was extremely professional. We don't have enough good words to describe how well and fast everything went and how smooth they made this difficult time for us.... We made only one phone call to Pat. And him and his staff handled everything for us in just 3 days only ,from the hospital,transport, tickets, paperwork, etc. including transportation of the body to Albania .We appreciate all the staff and owners here. God bless them all !

It took awhile for me to write this review, my Grandmother passed away recently. She was the greatest woman I've known and very dear to my heart. My mother in law passed away and it was a very difficult time for my husband and his family. We wanted to honor her wishes of cremation. I'm extremely grateful for the entire team at Forest North. When my grandmother passed away we had not prepared for all the arrangements and coordination that would follow. What a awesome job Pat and his staff did . The office staff is professional and attentive. They walked us through every part of the paperwork . Pat called me the day of the funeral just to check in. When I got to the funeral , my father finally looked at peace. Steve was outstanding ,he was really attentive to my brother whom is wheelchair bound . They provided him water and made sure he was ok .He was also very understanding during a difficult family situation. He made us feel like we were family . They handled my dad's service and cremation. From the 1st phone call, I made down to the pickup of his ashes, the process was very smooth and nice. Gina helped me, she made me feel very at ease. The price was an amazing deal, I was shocked it was much less than other places and the inside was just redone with brand new furniture and renovations. Everything was beautiful. Forest North Funeral Chapel did a commendable job making arrangements for my brother's cremation and memorial. From the initial meeting with Patrick to the end of the memorial our family was treated with sympathy and respect. Coping with the grief and stress of an unexpected death is difficult.
