On July of 2020 my dearest childhood friend Dorothea DORA Ktenas fell into eternal sleep. However, as much as this was about Dorothea, this write up is about the Funeral Directory, Mr. Michael Heredia. Having been to countless wakes ( celebrations of life ) at various funeral homes in New York City, within the USA and Europe, never have I experienced such protocol to detail with compassion from the moment I entered the establishment. And during the time of global uncertainty I felt safe as the staff greeted me. All CDC guidelines were met from the entrance to the viewing room to downstairs where there was a coffee lounge and baked goods for the guests; even the table settings met the CDC guidelines; social distancing was apparent everywhere and no one argued that. Need I mention the lavatory? I shall; spotless. Following the visitation, the burial service was held with respectful dignity. Bravo to his team. They all worked harmoniously and seamlessly together under Mr. Heredia's direction. It is with high honors I write this review regarding Mr. Michael Heredia who is obviously passionate about what he does and has been doing for years successfully for the communities and their families he has assisted during their difficult times. He made me feel as If i’d known him for an eternity; that is an innate trait. Had I had to grade Mr. Heredia and CONWAY, they undoubtedly would receive letter grades of A+. Excellent outcomes were met where everyone and everything was concerned. Losing a loved one is devastating! I was at a point where I didn't know what to do first. A friend of mine recommended that I call Michael Heredia from Conway Funeral Home. Michael handled everything and took the burden off my shoulders so that I could properly mourn my dad. Everything was done beautifully, the obituary, the photo collage, the prayer cards... everything! Everyone on the staff was attentive and caring, Carlos and Geraldine made sure the night went smooth so that me and my family did not need to worry about anything. On the day, I returned to pick up my dad's remains, they were displayed so beautifully and I was even given alone time to spend with him. It is with my whole heart that I recommend Conway Funeral Home, they treat you like family!

The staff from Conway, especially Mr. Heredia, made the extremely difficult loss for my family much easier. He explained everything clearly and answered all our questions thoroughly. Not only was Mr. Heredia professional, but he was extremely helpful, compassionate and supportive, especially with the family members that were very emotional during the funeral service. The service for my sister was beautiful, warm and personal, everyone felt the essence of who my sister was. We did not have to worry about anything because he handled it all for us, from arranging the flowers to making sure our guests were comfortable. We thank Conway Funeral Home and Mr. Heredia for helping to make this very important stage of our loss much easier.

I can't say enough about Michael Heredia. He went above and beyond for my family at an extremely difficult time. He was courteous, patient and understanding throughout the entire process. Dealing with the passing of a family member is never easy, it's filled with stress. The task of dealing with the arrangements can be daunting, however Michael Heredia made it easy to deal with a difficult situation. In his gentle manner, he gave his thoughts and ideas to guide my family and I in celebrating my dad's life in a manner in which he would be grateful. Working with Conway funeral home was the most comforting experience after the loss of a loved one. My sister passed away at 11:05 and she was picked up from hospice within 2 hours. So grateful to William, Michael, Joann, Geraldine and Rosa for honoring my sister and laying her to rest in the most beautiful and sacred way. They tend to your grieving family with the upmost respect and honor with incredible attention to detail during the in the most difficult days of my family's lives. Met with Brandy to prepay and preplan my direct burial. She was very engaging, well informed and gracious. She took us through the process step by step, explained our options and gave us a generous amount of her time. She made the whole process very easy and was very reassuring. I am so glad that I finally got around to doing this, it is so important to take responsibility and control of your end of life care and plans. Would definitely recommend their services.

This is my fourth funeral where Conway Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Michael, William and Joanne were so caring and compassionate. They were friends with my husband who passed so they were extremely comforting and attended to my every need. Michael was at my side at the funeral service when I thought I couldn’t make it through. I was devasted over the loss of my Grandmother and all I wanted was her ashes and the man that works their asked my family to tell me to stop calling.He had an attitude everytime on the phone and is very inconsiderate of my feelings and the severe loss that my children are going through. No wake no service no ashes! Just attitude. These people who work here have no empathy.

The staff at Conway were heartfelt, professional, and made a very difficult loss seamless. Michael and his staff treated us like family, from preplanning to even days after the funeral. There was a sense of warmth and welcoming in such a difficult time. I would HIGHLY recommend Conway to those are preplanning or even unplanned family losses.

Conway, and our funeral director Michael, made a sad and tough loss a little easier with his calm and kind demeanor. We never felt taken advantage of and would recommend to anyone in need of these services. Conway Funeral Home has taken care of my family’s needs since 2000. They have always been caring and professional. Most recently Brandy showed great care and consideration as she helped to Pre-Plan a Contract for a loved one. I feel that all our needs have been met with grace and dignity at this difficult time.
