Typical Cole's store, a good veriety of products. Really wish they'll swap the fresh produce, meats and seafood to the other side of the store. As my thinking is you spend on average 45 to an hour in the store shopping and getting your groceries. Now think about this scenario it's 40 odd degrees outside and you want to grab chickens with a few other items and let's say you spend 40 minutes inside the store. First thing you'll grab is the chicken now think about it even know it's air-conditioned inside but your chicken are slowly multiplying bateria because that's the first thing you see. Then add on the time needed in a hit car, your chicken is beaming with bacteria having an orgy. If they swap the store around and have fresh produce, meats and seafood last wouldn't that make more sense?

Extremely disappointed now with the new refurbishment. No fresh Deli. Purchased a $14 block of Jarlseberg cheese got it home and it had a very large green mould in it. They gave me my money back. Purchased some meat last weekend. Said it was good for another 2 days.Today When I opened it it was greenish. It smelt bad. I had to throw it out as I did not want to get sick. The ham was packaged and gave a month useby date - after a couple of days I threw that out as it smelt. Why I ask did they get rid of the fresh Deli section. I won't be purchasing any more meat or cheese from this store as I dont trust it anymore. Very disappointing.

Very rude staff, she didn’t finish the checkout and left. Couldn’t believe such bad customer service. In the middle of checkout process she started telling me where I should stand and put the trolly. The next counter was closed and there was no one passing through. So I told her, then she just left to another register. Other people were also waiting in line, but nobody was serving. Lots of good items including Deli have gone after the refurbishment. The aisles become wider but new large trolleys take up more spaces as well as at narrow cash register. This staff has become totally confused about customer service.

Arrived at Coles just before 6pm at closing time, as i was walking in a young girl named Aimee approached me claiming to be Store Manager said I couldn't come in as it was closing. I said I just wanted a pack of cigarettes. There was about 20 people visible just from the front where i was standing still shopping with baskets etc. I explained I would be quicker than everyone. I pulled out my phone and it just turned 6.01 in front of her and she said "look its 6.01'. (mind you i was chatting to her longer than a minute) I felt as though she was on a bit of a power trip...her smug smile was a giveaway.

I'm new to Australia and this is the most charming 'Coles' store I've been - and keep coming back - to. A recent revamp suitably matches the friendly customer service. Altho I have a medical exemption, the staff treat me no differently, which is immensely appreciated and my (similarly aged) friends have also shared their gratefulness at not being 'singled out' for being without a mask. Whilst all the staff are lovely, an extra special thanks must go out to Gabby and Macy. They are a consistent 'ray of sunshine' admist such uncertain times. Thank you Coles, Ascot. What a gem!

  • Juanita venema

The elderly woman who served me this morning literally did not talk to me once the second she saw I was paying with change even though I did attempt to talk to her. She didn’t make eye contact at all and turned her face away and pretended she couldn’t hear when I said “have a wonderful day”, this was so bizzare to me. I watched her serve the customer before I approached and she was friendly and chatty. I’m not sure if the judgment came from the fact I was paying with change or the fact I was buying ready made rice but it was so WEIRD.

Visiting Coles Ascot is a great experience. It is always beautifully presented and clean. The difference between this store and other Coles shops is the high level of customer service. The staff are friendly and helpful responding to any concerns. Blake always greets you with a smile and does the utmost to assist. It is a treat to see someone delivering exemplary customer service and who can represent a business so well. Thank you!

  • Gabe Churchill

Do you want fancy local baked goods, meats, sweets but want to pay a little less? Do you want to pretend that you shop locally but you actually don't? Than this is the place for you! Coles local - half the stock of a regular coles - but all the kombucha you can ever want. Go to Ascot Woolies if you really want to do your grocery shopping. Go here if you want Jocelyn's Provisions bread/King St Bakery treats half-off at around 8pm.

  • Chelsea Wright

The staff are some of the best I have ever seen, they are so easy going and genuine and seem to all get along like friends with each other when working, Ella is a standout for me always lovely and willing to help and the lovely ladies who help out with self-service in the mornings always say "Have a nice day", it's nice to see that are some kind people working in the city, they all deserve to be recognized for their efforts

  • David Luke Millie and Zoe

Great staff. Terrible tight layout. Often out of stock of popular items in the evenings which can be frustrating. After 3 years I have added one star due to excellent customer service.. the people who work here "get it". Otherwise more or less the same except better range in some lines than the "flash" new woolies around the corner in Nudgee Rd (e.g. pet lines are much larger and far more competitively priced at Coles).

  • moreiro80

Very basic Coles. Good for a corner store but not for doing a proper shop. Any time I have an issue with my Flybuys card not working, the staff always tell me i haven’t used the correct card, or the issue is my fault. When I call up Flybuys direct they tell me contradictory advice. I always use self check outs to avoid having to deal with the staff here. Go to Woolworths or IGA instead of you’re not time poor.

  • jack kelly

Reasonably well stocked for a smaller store. My problem is, on Wednesdays, the start of the new week for specials, they never seem to have their products showing the new prices until the following day. The new weeks prices should be on display as of started business, Wednesday. The staff are usually very friendly and quite helpful, nothing seems to be too much trouble, generally. Cheers Jack Kelly.

  • Brendan Smith

Great store. Would love to have a Coles that looked like this as our local Coles store. By comparison, our local Coles looks like an army dispensary - or worse - a Costco with no food samples! As a visitor to Qld - it shocked us a little to find the store closed so early on Sunday by comparison to down south. Undecided if it's a good thing or not - but good to know if you're visiting.

  • Damian Haseler

Thank you Coles, for employing Jack at your Ascot space. He was meticulously stocking salad mixes, and I asked about a mix that I enjoy that I did not see, and he took ownership and informed me that he would check. I continued to shop, and as I was checking avocados, he bounded up and handed me my green goddess mix. I truly appreciate individuals who provide honest customer care.

  • Ain Kuru

The store is larger but the range or raw ingredients has reduced in favour of poor quality pre made food. I will no longer be wasting my time by shopping here. I believe Coles has misread the local market, which is highly educated and well off. Once the excitement of the new store has worn off and the pre made food tasted, sales are likely to fall away.

  • Scarlotte

Good shopping experience. Staff are friendly and efficient. A wider variety of all products compared to Woolworths Metro and it also keeps to the normal Coles Stores Pricings unlike the Woolworths Metro which have increased all prices by a minimum of .20 per item. Awesome little centre with an Uber / DiDi/ Taxi area right near the entrance and exit.

  • Jason Leuzzi

Will you unlock the trollies so I can go to your car park at the back of Coles to put my many bags of groceries into my boot? Really difficult if you buy many bags and have to run back and forth because your trollies lock. Can’t you fix this with adjusted perimeter change….otherwise why have trollies and the big spend will go to Woolworths.

  • Jason Becker

0 normal registers open. Only one guy helping at self service when they go wrong. But the one guy also had to manage the service desk. Meaning when my register said ‘general error’ I had to wait a good few minutes while he served someone buying smokes. This coles doesn’t have a very big range either. I’m glad it’s not my local.

  • Location One Brisbane Buyer's Agent

Steve on the checkouts is totally awesome - Not only is he very pleasant to chat with whilst he is packing your groceries - but he carefully takes the time to place items in the bags without them being squashed or making the bags too heavy and out of balance. Great work - a pleasure to shop at Coles Ascot. Thanks Steve

  • Lonely Traveler

Google has got me doing a 35 minute walk to Coles at Asscot. Google mate, you're kidding yourself, if i had the Elon Musk SpaceX rocket up my clacker I still wouldn't get there in 35 minutes. I'd be 947 klm's from the earths surface and orbiting at about 27,578 klm's per hour, you know it's not rocket science Coles.

  • Beverley Cope

Frustrating when I have to go to other supermarkets because Coles Racecourse Road does not have buttermilk especially when you have to get home as soon as possible. I am now wondering if it is worth while shopping there or just to go else where from the beginning. This is not the first time this has happened to me

  • Nick Wolfe

This is my favorite Coles in all of Brisbane. I traveled from Sandgate to this Coles on a regular basis for all of my shopping that I liked it so much while living in Australia. I'm partial to the Ascot area but still find this Coles to have the best selection of meat cuts in the area for a commercial grocer.

  • Mozzieland Reviews

Friendly staff service in this otherwise small store. The available products are often well stocked and neatly presented. However, the aisle widths are very narrow and there is only a limited range of products available. It can also be quite difficult to physically distance yourself from others in the store.

  • Matt Cornell

We live in Ascot. Coles Ascot is our 'go-to' store for fresh food and last food minute items. Easy parking underneath the store or score a park on the street if you're lucky. Couple of nice food shops nearby too. I'd definitely recommend Coles Ascot if you live in Ascot, Hamilton or Hendra.

  • Ben O’Regan

Convenient for people in the local Hamilton/Ascot area; small car park underneath if you 're further than walking distance away. Being a small store it doesn't have everything, but still has a reasonable range. Nice cafe nearby if you want to grab a coffee on the way to or from shopping.

  • jheri

Never heard of Cole's till i visited Brisbane, Australia. Coles reminds me of Harris Teeter or Public store here in USA. It's nice they don't use plastic bags here in Australia. Great food choices. Smith brand carry a large selection of potato chips we don't have here in the USA.

  • Allegra O'Hara

I honestly dread having to come to this store. The fresh produce is always subpar, with a pretty abysmal range, there are never enough registers open, and you have to traipse around the whole store looking for a team member to help you. I wouldn’t waste your time shopping here

  • david walsh

Nice place to be Clean, modern, smart young staff. Good value specials and fresh food Not crowded and happy customers from Ascot Basement parking nearby. Nice cafés to rest and refresh in close by 300 bus route to city or walk to ferry.Civilised shopping and no bad attitude.

  • Adam Dangerfield

It’s a little smaller than your regular coles but it has a good selection of products you don’t often see at other coles. Having said that you will find some things your after, they just don’t stock so I do find myself going to the nearby Woolworths to do a full shop.

  • Steve Kennedy

It's a great store with a good variety of products for a smaller local supermarket. The renovation they not long ago performed has opened it up and given the main entrance a fresh and vibrant appeal. A wonderful and handy local with underground parking …

  • Emika Chargros

A small metro store with limited range of products available. However, the service is outstanding, the register staff is super friendly and professional - Steve is polite, very well mannered and interesting to talk to; he has an eye for detail when packing my bags.

  • Andrea Giordano Geissa

The young man on the second register was exceptionally patient with me I was taking ages to work at the app on my phone and he didn't seem 6 on 2nd of Septembe. Recognise for the recognise these wonderful customer service as good customer service is very lacking

  • Sacha Evans

This coles is good if you need to stop in and grab a few things. It's a little smaller than your average store. I wouldn't do a big shop for weekly groceries as although it has a good variety, it doesn't cover everything that a normal size coles would offer

  • Chris

Great coles. Fantastic selection, friendly staff. 4 stars though because i miss the handsome bodybuilder who worked in the grocery dept. My pregnant wife has been uncharacteristically moody since he quit and i'm beginning to suspect the two are connected.

  • Jonathon Mathes

Best Coles I have ever been to fresh packet of meats and good range of groceries and Cold stuff I have no fault at this place and staff was friendly and helpful and the management could not do enough to help me out and I earn points and card only is great

  • Bill “Brizbill” Simon

Based in the heart of the cafe strip, this supermarket is handily located just across the road from public transport and has ample underground parking. Please note that this is a much store, so the range and availability of stock can be limited at times.

  • Maria K

Useless. It didn't have either of the 2 products I was after, parking was a struggle & waste of time & the aisles were so narrow & squashed. I won't be going here ever again. Woolworths at Ascot's new, way better, much nicer with loads of parking.

  • Andrew Swan

Decent store, nice and spacious, has self serve checkouts. Only qualm I've had so far is there is rarely a dedicated staff member for the self serve checkouts so if you need approval for something, you may have to wait a minute or so for service.

  • David Deane

This store has almost replaced all trusted brands with second rate Coles brand. Everything drinks, ice creams even. As a shareholder I am dismayed at the shambles this store has become. How much is Australian grown and packaged? Go elsewhere!

  • Kitty Parker

Not enough variety of items. narrow isles, you can't use a trolley without bumping into the other customers. Workers there are not friendly as other shops. One of the worst Coles. With these reasons I use online shopping though I live near by

  • Ross Caruso

Friendly staff. It's a small Coles but always plenty of parking. Easy to get in and out of. I'm always happy with the produce section. It could do with more beans and water as opposed to beans and salt but otherwise its well stocked.

  • Binh Nguyen

I was calling the store to look for a Sticky date pudding but was put on hold for nearly 30 min and the last person name Paul was so unfriendly answered the call. I hung up and was disappointed of Coles quality of staffs these days.

  • Penny Brown

Went to Coles, Racecourse Road to buy asparagus. Only choice was poor produce from MEXICO !!!! Drove to New Farm independent fruit shop. Beautiful young green AUSTRALIAN asparagus and much cheaper too. Not acceptable Coles !!!!!

  • D Fisher

loved the store until I came in recently to find the beefcake gone (and I'm not talking about food!!) ever since he left my shopping experience has never been the same, my wife no longer comes shopping with me here. a shame.

  • Allie Clearly

Bougie af. This is a fancy people coles. Pasta that you scoop yourself!? What will they think of next?! Artisan WATER? La dee da. Still had the mini cupcakes and twisties that I was there to get so thumbs up from me.

  • Ben Stevenson

Extremely disappointing experiences here lately, will have to switch to Woollies as the coles allows people from companies to stand out the front and harass locals who clearly aren’t interested in their products

  • Leilani

Love the new upgrade and all the new goodies a available, a much wider scope. Well done Team Ascot Coles. The only thing I would recommend for improvement is the self serve checkouts…. Very tight space …

  • Maz G

Very friendly staff...I always love my shopping experience at Coles Ascot...always get a park and the majority of the staff go above and beyond with a nothing is a problem attitude ..well done Coles Ascot

  • Bender GTi

Never coming back. After the recent refurbishment some items I call essential are no longer on their shelves. They replaced the Deli with a fridge. Woolies on Nudgee Rd is a far superior experience.

  • ncapanema

Good Variety of productos in general. It could have a bigger and better options for cheese and a product call "Cheese buddy" and a soft drink called "Guaraná". Think about It Coles team! :)

  • Kim Hanrahan

Had most of everything u want.. but I was after some lunch n unfortunately they didn't have any made up takeaway food such as ready made salads or sandwiches.. but still spent money

  • Kristy Robinson

convenient coles with all your basic needs. if you're after a bigger shop then head somewhere else. tidy store and easy to get around. free street parking but there are time limits.

  • Lance Swift

It's smaller than the average coles, but it's the closest to my home. Has most items you would need. The underground car parking is a bonus, but I didn't see a lift for trolleys.

  • Lucy

LOVE the new look..! Great food selections with bread, pasta, coffee station, frozen lines etc.. Keep up the great work on the freshness front etc.. My new shopping place …

  • Annwen Coombes

AFTER ALL THE RENOVATION I DON'T THINK THAT THEY TOOK THE PEPOLE USEING THE BUILDING NO DISABLED PARKING AND ABOUT THOSE USLES TROLLEYS THEY MIGHT LOOK NICE BUT ARE USELESS

  • Ken Tran

Great place to shop! It's very different to many other branches. The layout looks very boutique. It also has a freezer full of mochie, ice cream and snacks which is treat!

  • Shane A

Good small supermarket, disappointed that they had run out of milk and weetbix. It is the Easter holiday, but they should have had enough stock to last the whole weekend.

  • George Newsham

its coles so its BAD go to woolies. Also why the f is there no gluten free section, the worst Coles I've ever been to GO TO WOOLWORTHS ASCOT ITS SO MUCH BETTER

  • Faheem Davids

No deli so the selection was limited. Rest of my shop was great. Couldn't find peaches so got pears. Reasonable prices. Fresh produce. Easy shopping.

  • brothersrohan

You just got to shake your head at this place. All that renovation work and still can't carry catalogue lines. No cash at check outs now and no deli.

  • James Barr

This my local and as always I went straight to my favourite server ada she is so helpful she knows my name and my sons she is the best I've ever seen

  • Veroo GaZmEr

Easy access and friendly staff but now change in layout causing a huge trouble to the consumers as we can't find the items we are looking for …

  • Gregory Hughes

Very small coles reminded me of the old small coles in redcliffe. Opposite rsl. Found prices on some of the stock dearer than other northside coles

  • Carol Gatfield

Staff are lovely. Well stocked. Parking for disabled is a problem. There is a ramp, however it's a long walk and a difficult incline for elderly.

  • Alan Cunningham

Is Coles is like a boutique Coles. they don't have a large array of produce or products minimal customer service due to self service checkouts.

  • Mark Hyland

They have more competition now that Woolworths Ascot is open. Woolworths is a full range store where the coles is a limited range small store.

  • Simone Roets

Probably the worst Coles in Brisbane. Produce not good, service is horrible - specially at the deli, the coles is not clean. Needs a revamp. M

  • John Akrigg

Great selection for a small main street at Ascot. Seafood, Deli, good bread selection including gluten free & sour doughs. Wheelchair access.

  • Chris Mahon

Even though I have woollies metro across the road, I prefer to go to this Coles. The staff are fabulous and it's a lovely little supermarket.

  • Greg Edwards

Do not stock many of the weekly specials anymore. Have reduced stock too much. I now have to drive to Coles Toombul for most weekly specials.

  • Mike Raphone

It’s a step back into the 80’s in this Coles. Feels like the place is going to fall down any minute. If you have to shop here do it quickly.

  • Pete R

My local and even though they ran out of salmon tonight, staff were perfect in their help. Cheese kranskys are a great salmon replacement.

  • Audrey Phang

No fresh seafood and meat section where you can pick and weigh. Hence limited cold product section. Looking for fresh prawn but ran out.

  • Ben Doles Out The Harshness

Staff are pleasant and attentive, fix any issues that may arise swiftly, and always greet regulars with a friendly greeting and a smile.

  • Whitney King

Beautiful layout - makes a regular grocery shop an absolutely wonderful outting. Love the availability of almond milk for the Coffee!

  • Cal Wilson

Miss the bodybuilder who used to work here. Guy was an absolute beast (wearing nothing but olive oil should be the new Coles uniform)

  • Matt Brady

As a local I shop here often. This afternoon staff member Steve stood once again. Professional, welcoming... great customer service.

  • DaSkittleMonkey

No variety in products since the rebuild, really sad to see the amazing deli gone. Staff are rude and have no interest in helping.

  • Gava

Near to place! Everything easily Available.. Good car park Good Services Convenient for people living in Hamilton/ Ascot / Hendra!

  • Kim Sullivan

Store is clean & had well stocked shelves including fresh produce. Although staff member at check out was void of any personality

  • Sanborn Olsen

I liked this place because of the good food. It's also right next to other great retail stores. Sushi, Bread, Bank & other shops.

  • Sascha Reinhard

Good local Coles with decent selections. As all Coles Local also a bit on the pricier side but good selection of gourmet foods.

  • Brad Rampton

I gotta love this Coles. It's small, yet well stocked with some interesting stuff and the music is sometimes cool too!

  • Joel Fitzgerald

worst customer service ever. wish I could have rated this zero stars don't waste your time go to woolies on nudgee rd

  • Trevor Talbot

Handy not far from my home. It would be great if they catered for the people on a budget & had some home brand items

  • Amin Eslami

It’s awesome little shop and awesome guys especially Blake in the front house he makes everything fun and enjoyable.

  • Simon Gyllenhammar

It is a large store, the upper size of what you would call a supermarket. Good range of products in all categories.

  • Samuel Birchall

Easy to find. Easy access parking. Good service. Small supermarket but ample to my needs while staying in Hamilton

  • Jean Seah

Friendly staff, well-stocked, great presentation in the produce section, good specials, clean and tidy store.

  • Damien Hughes

Coles is Coles....major renos recently and deli now gone...not too sure if that was a good move in this area.

  • S C

Selection is pared down compared to normal Coles. Items sometimes difficult to find. Hours are good though.

  • Kassie Johnson

Doesn't always have what I need (happens a lot) also more expensive then other coles' Is convenient though.

  • Lewis Purdon

Not bad, not good. A little over-priced and not a fantastic selection but better than the IGA down the road

  • Lynda Clark

Clean neat tidy excellent great management team there very professional and helpfully cheers Lynda Clark

  • HELEN T Roache

Love the store. Easy and accessible. Free Parking for 3hrs. Till assistant helpful ,polite and cheerful

  • Kyle

Has everything I need, great service, well laid out and easy to find whatever items I'm looking for.

  • M. J.

Small local coles. The store set up could be confusing to the first visitors. Carpark is very tight.

  • Gregory Hudson

Good range if foodstuffs at reasonable prices. A recent makeover has made this a good place ti shop

  • suzannr spfy

Great management very polite understanding and helpful Sweet staff Prices are good Very open shop

  • Zhuzhu Chen
