Been coming here for years before a show because it's a nice atmosphere with the Melbourne Street Green and everything, but food has gone downhill in a big way. Today my family decided no more for about the third time, and to ensure it doesn't happen a fourth, put a reminder in our phones for our next show: "No QPAC cafe!". Veggie burger used to be a tasty spiced chickpea thing but now is one of those awful supermarket-style faux meat patties that pretend at being chicken but taste like nothing. The meat-eaters amongst us used to look forward to the sliders they'd enjoy before a show, but now consistently complain their burger is full of gristle. Chips used to be great and beer-battered, but now have no texture, no taste. Really sad it's slid so much, we enjoyed convening here. Hope they pick up their act again sometime but it's a good time to explore other options.
Bad quality food at exorbitant prices! Just came here to sit with a friend who bought a kid's meal for her child. She said it was odd that there was so much lettuce in the kid's burger and that there was beetroot in there which would make things messy. Me, on the other hand found the burgers to be dry, poor quality beef patties. The pulled Pork burger I had was ridiculously sweet and I couldn't even eat it. Never again.
I ate at the café last Thursday and do I ever wish I hadn't! The fish burger I had was appalling - stale bun, supermarket quality crumbed fish fillets and the most disgusting beetroot mush I have ever eaten. My friend did not eat hers and she was lucky. I got very ill. What a waste of a great outdoor venue. With all the dining choices around QPAC, what are they thinking?
There was a bruschetta sitting on the shelf when was I the queue to order. I'd just sat down and the buzzer went. Bruschetta was stone cold. Requested a fresh one but they just burned the original one to make it warm. Inedible burnt toast. Cheap and nasty and treat customers like we are fools. Skip it. Plenty of restaurants across Grey St.
Busy day, yet no preparation for the patrons. No tables No staff No care factor. When we eventually found a table Food was cold. Small amounts for price and just a scabby amounts of dipping sauce. The only thing the staff cared about was clearing tables when you weren't finished. Very poor all round.
Ate here for Yotam Ottelengi show we were hesitant, but everywhere else around was full. We were very pleasantly surprised ordered the Barramundi, it was delicious and very reasonably priced the service was great and also prompt. Overall our experience was excellent.
Have eaten here quite often before a show and although limited menu, high prices and average quality, it added to an evening out. Tonight, however, we had a "mezzo plate" at around $30 which was woeful on all counts. Time to move on I think!
Ordered a salmon salad from the window display and I got a lamb one instead. I'm glad I did get a lamb one though because it was absolutley amazing. All the veggies were fresh and the lamb tasted so high quality. Will come back again :)
A surprising option in the QPAC complex serving casual meals at "not terrible" prices considering the area it is situated in. The Steak Sandwich was great. Tender steak and the onion jam added a nice balance to the dish.
Best part: accidentally left my glasses there. Within 15 minutes picked up at lost property. Thank you. Menu: burgers and premade cafe food. Burger repeated on me for hours. Fast service. Love the diversity in staffing.
Extra cost for a vegetarian patty? Absolutely disgraceful, since when does saving animals lives cost more.. should be ashamed of yourself especially for such a public area. Food is very average for the price
Ordered the crumbed mooloolaba whiting with fries for $17 and let's just say it was comparable to fast food. If you're looking for a decent lunch then probably better off walking to Southbank.
Overpriced beyond compare. Paid $17 for a burger and fries; ended up with a slider and a meager serving of chips (they weren't even fries). Food was nice, but I won't be returning.
For a quick meal before a show this is an option. Simply food choice's. Medium to expensive for what you get, but you are on the doorstep of your venue. So NO walking involved.
Amazing place. Beautiful service and aroma. The waiting staff were kind and helpful. Food was amazingly fast and delicious. Lots of room and family friendly. Highly recommend.
Lovely position to sit for coffee after seeing the European Masterpieces exhibition at GOMA. Not up on much that is gluton free and couldn't make GF sandwiches.
Went here for a quick bite to eat before come from away (which i loved) food here was average at best. Overpriced. luckily the show made up for my experience.
Staff were very helpful and courteous. Food was good and no long delay waiting.

Avoid the whiting. Full of tiny bones, which unfortunately stuck in my throat for quite some time. Also, menu very limited and certainly not budget-friendly.
We usually enjoy a quick bite before shows. The service is quick and polite. The environment is very pleasant.

I think my local service station makes a better chicken burger and chips. Very disappointed.
Amazing service, delicious food and such a pretty place to have a bite before a show!
Great service, delicious food and with the sun out, the environment is wonderful!
It's a great space. Wish Brisbane had more of these hidaway gems!
