I was physically assaulted while the security responsible held me accountable. While I was explaining what happened to security, a member from the group was violently shoving me. I asked if they would be held accountable, and I was met with a dismissive attitude. The staff admitted they agreed with me yet did not protect me as I was being assaulted. I literally was spoken ill of as my back was turned, and enquired why it was said and I was assaulted. I don't think the staff here have the training to think logically and assess the issues taking place to deem this place a safe environment. I have left a message with the establishment and we'll see what happens. However, the trend with venues such as these leave a lot to be desired in terms of resolution and accountability. Overall a terrible experience and I warn anyone capable of intelligent thought to seek other venues.

Like others, I wish I could leave under 1 Star. Absolutely disgusted by the security guard who was working at 11:30pm Sun 13th #01 on his badge. After letting 4 of my friends in, when it was our turn to enter he said "only members tonight" My 4 friends were not members, so he blantently lied to us. When I asked him why he would not not let us in, he just kept saying "members only" He then proceeded to let 2 girls in, I asked them if they were members and they replied "no" I have no issue if a place is at capacity but to have a staff member who represents your nightclub lie through his teeth, leaves a very bad impression on your business. I would take a careful look at who you are employing, as we WERE long time patrons of this establishment and will no longer be supporting your company.

I was randomly targeted by a security officer on the dancefloor who claimed i had pushed him when he had actually shoved me. He became eratic in seconds. He called for backup and 6 other guards arrived all holding me down. If this had been the end of it, i wouldve been annoyed but not enough to blame them for it as i was obviously drunk. But as soon as the door closed to the back entrance and i was at the bottom of the stairwell (still being held by 6 guards) one of them proceeded to punch me twice to the left side of the face. Clearly this was malicious as it was done in an area with no other witnesses and no cameras. Police said they are allowed to use necessary force however punching an already restrained individual should never be considered necessary force. Shameful

Bouncers are very rude! let their friends in before letting others in: not a way to keep people coming. When we would ask how long it would still take they would yell that if you wouldn't shut up you would not get in. Also, let half the group in and the others had to wait 30 more minutes because the doorman's friends where coming in. When I went upstairs to check for some friends the bouncer told me to go back in (while in the meantime his friends where coming in and out) because I asked a guy in the queue to call my friends name, because I could not go out , the bouncer got angry and pushed me out and told me that I could not come back in... Amazing treatment by bouncer 4 and 5. I would never go back there, poor treatment, disrespect, and violent.

Bar staff should improve more a customer service and not Asian discrimination,We went there on Saturday night 8 jan 2022 and felt all the bartenders are ignore us,I tried to order my drink and the bartender just ran away not even finish conversation !! Soon the another guy came and take a order and same ran away ? If I could give zero stars I would. Almost everyone in this club is rude from the bartender to the security guard . The bartender named Louis was so rude to us, if he didn’t want to serve us he should have said from the get go, hate people ruining my night. I don’t even want to start with the other short security guard at the door, wonder if this people are paid to harass and talk down to their customers. Would advise anyone to spend their money where they’re valued especially if you’re a POC, they’re high key racist.

The attendant even refused to show menu. The behaviour was rude from the start. No wonder why so few people go there. Overpriced items with third class quality Atleast show menu with clear prices written on it. The last thing a customer wants is to ask the third class attendants(especially the girl serving yesterday) on top of the voice with such a loud music. But who knows if the racial element was in place! (although I try not to judge that way) Even the toilets aren’t maintained with broken locks and lights

Absolutely terrible service, the security would rather let their friends jump the queue than let in customers who had been queueing for almost an hour. This was the second time I had tried to go to Zhivago's and experienced this both times from the same security guard (number 4 or 5). The manner in which customers are spoken to and treated is not what you expect from such a venue - I would strongly discourage anyone from going here!!

Went up to the door security guy asked about Id, As soon we were pulled out the ids he said not tonight guys, without giving us the reason. Security were continually letting people they knew walk in before customers who had been patiently waiting for longer than an hour. Haven't experienced this degree of biased and rude security guard/s before. Not a very good first impression. Customer retention doesn't seem to be important? Would recommend you to spend your time and money at another venue.

I witnessed assault of a young man being handled by his hair from a security guard. I would never recommend this club. I immediately left after witnessing this malpractice. New owner is awful. Advertisement yesterday said come before 1130 for a free cocktail. Was there at 1030 and paid to get in only to be told the owner said to stop giving out drinks. No refund given. False advertisement. Was told by patrons that the owner does this all the time to rip off the young people of Adelaide.

The Friday DJ was on point. Good music selection and his fadez were 8/10. You could tell he was enjoying his sets and was passionate about his art, so great job! Bar staff were great also. Downside, the place is dark and dirty looking.. real ghetto-like! Needs a fresh touch to brighten it up.
