These guys are a complete scam!! If you've been in a collision; before you sign anything, or talk to anyone call your insurance provider and get a VERIFICATION CODE for your own protection!!!! This code will give you piece of mind Knowing that you're dealing ONLY with insurance approved companies!! If you still end up in a situation involving these guys, make sure you ask them what your insurance VERIFICATION CODE IS!!! If they can't answer this question, don't sign AND WALK AWAY, NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY!!! And NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO!!!! EVER!!! **In my experience, I have NEVER had to provide ANY personal credit or payment info to ANYONE after being involved in a collision. If ANYONE asks for your credit card at anytime, its most likely a scam, so call your insurance provider immediately and DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING!!! Torq's scam: A tow truck company, such as TIP TOP TOWING or AACTION TOWING (if you see any of these trucks, lock your doors and if necessary call police. It's illegal for a tow truck to solicit service on the roadside in Ontario!!!) Then these guys will call Torq, tell them you've been in an accident, and tell them who your insurance provider is... and probably tow you to a shady garage... be wary!! Torq, will then show up at your location!(the reason they come to you, is because they have NO AUTHORITY TO BE THERE!!! And they don't want you to call your insurance company and get a REAL rental! You're insurance company will have NO idea about Torq because they did not call to ask for the Authorization Code!!) They come ready and equipped with 1.) prefilled paperwork including ALTERED KILOMETRES!!! Watch for that; 2.) a car that is NOT covered by your insurance provider, (full size sedan) so you will be stuck owing the difference; 3.) a car that is used and abused!! Make sure you thoroughly check through the vehicle!! 4.) will BLATANTLY LIE TO YOU AND SAY THEY TALKED TO YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY AND THEY HAVE AUTHORIZATION!!! (They don't!! This is what the verification code is for!! If you get to this point... ask for this code!!! If they can't provide it, RUN!!! Don't listen to anything they say to you it is all lies!! 5.) Torq will then get you in a car, and let you believe it's all approved by your insurance company... NOT SO! 6.) because they've never called your insurance to get approval, YOU are totally on the HOOK for EVERYTHING!!!! And. Cause they have your credit card, they make you pay, then it's up to you to either recoup the cash from your insurance provider or through the civil court system!!! 7.) if you try to return the car early, they will make up any excuse and will tell you you will be charged exuberant fees etc... if you get here... it's bad, but you're still early enough to mitigate the damage to you financially!!! Call your insurance provider immediately and if they can, they will try to assist you in getting rid of these scammers. Mine did!! (Also how I learned all this amazing info!!) Then after they have a good laugh at your expense, they give the referring towing company their "kick back", while you go through financial misery for months or years... If you've been in an accident, remember to ONLY use insurance approved services, and you can make sure by asking for your verification code!! And NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, give out your credit card information to ANYONE!!! Thanks, and I hope this helps you avoid this scam!!!

At first I was really impressed by this company how quickly they provided me with a rental when I needed one. As well even dropped it off at my house and took my car down to my mechanic for me. Fast forward to about a month later, we receive a Red Light Ticket and are all confused.We look at the date and time and notice that it was the same day this rental company took my vehicle down to the mechanic. I firstly called the driver who took my car and right away he told me to the call the office and a representative would help me. I then called another number who had called me when I had the rental. Told me "I'll call you back when I'm in the office". Never did I waited 2 days then called their office and the phone just rings forever until someone from Mississauga answers and tells me they will get someone to call me back. Finally the "manager" calls me back and I explained to him one of his drivers who dropped off the rental and then took my vehicle to the mechanic went past a red light camera, therefore causing a $250 dollar ticket and I am not able to get my car sticker. I gave him the phone number of the driver who took my car and told he wasn't sure and would investigate??... ummm hello how don't you know your employers number. I didn't hear back for 2 days again so I called them back again. He told me "my driver says he didn't drive past a red light camera".....umm ok how would he know that, since he doesn't get the ticket, it goes to the owner of the vehicle? I explained to him I have the time and date of the ticket since it is printed on there....as well the time he called me when he was outside of my house dropping off the car. I also took a picture of the rental agreement and there's also a time stamp on that as well. He then proceeded to tell me there was nothing he could do since his driver said he didn't pass the red light camera. I again explained to him it wasn't my fault and its his drivers fault. Had this been reversed they would immediately charge my credit card but for them of course we can't charge them. I also explained I needed to get my car sticker and he told me "open a court case to fight the red light ticket,once you get a court number you can go to Service Ontario and explain and they will give you the sticker. If not,or the court makes you pay give us a call and we can see about splitting the cost." ..... joke, I then called Service Ontario explained what happened and they told me there is no such thing as giving them a court number and still getting your ticket. He told me I would have to wait until it was settled, then I could get my sticker. Soooo not only did the manager of car rental give me false information, hes also avoiding to pay for a problem their driver caused. Since with covid, we've also been waiting since February for a court date and we're in mid May now... I had messaged the manager again explaining what service ontario told me and how ridiculous this is....SHOCKER NO RESPONSE!! Clearly dodging their mistakes they made and avoiding to help me... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM BEWARE

I needed a rental car while mine was getting repaired, and had given TORQ a call as the other companies I called didn’t have any SUV’s available. TORQ didn’t have any SUVs available either, but they didn’t let our interaction end there, as all the other places did. They told me the cars they had available, and mentioned they had some pickup trucks. I explained how I needed at least a midsize vehicle to store tools in for the time being due to my partners job. They took my name and number and said they’d call me by the next day. TORQ reached out to confirm a rental would become available for the day I needed, within four hours! They stated that they were able to provide me truck to suite my needs, AND that it would be covered fully. They also took down the location that my vehicle was being repaired at and met me on site, on time, WITH my rental, as opposed to a shuttle vehicle. When they arrived with my rental the day of the truck had just been cleaned inside and out and was spotless! They had brought it from one customer to the next instead of making me wait a day or telling me they has nothing available. They provided me amazing customer service, an amazing rental, and didn’t let me worry about how i was going to get the rental or return it at all. 10/10 will be returning if I’m ever in need of a rental again.

I apologize in advance if this is a tad long but I'd like to leave a truthful review for future customers. From the time I called(8:30ishPM) Fahad the worker assured me he would have a car sent to me ASAP, he told me if not that night the following morning. Because of my work, morning wasn't possible so he got one of his employee to be at the shop for well after close time at 9:30PM. The other worker, Fazal, was more than nice and helpful; helped with some additional questions I had about accident related. The car I received had gas and it was a new car and clean inside. I was going to write them a good review earlier but noticed some complaints (getting charged to deliver car to people's home, getting charged additional costs). So I decided to phone Fahad, he assured me my credit card wouldn't be charged unless the customer gets a ticket or goes on the 407. I told him I won't be needing the rental for the full length because other accommodations and he said I wouldn't be charged additional for bringing the car also stated that people are charged that delivery because some deliveries go way past the "neighborhood areas". I would recommend you call with concerns, they're both very nice and explain things very well. I would recommend TORQ to family and friends.

I have been trying to reach this company for days regarding the rental I currently have. No answer and phone goes to a voice mail that is FULL. First, 4 days after getting the rental, my car insurance has advised me of a daily coverage limit and also a limit for the entire rental period. Their rates are not on the contract. Cant reach anyone to verify. I do not like the car I have. I'm used to an SUV, but I am in a small Honda Civic that I find uncomfortable. I was told to call them if I wanted to change the car. Cant reach anyone for that. The Honda smells like it was saturated with cologne. Gives me a migraine everytime I drive it. Another reason I'd like to switch cars. But, I cant reach anyone..... The body shop told me that due to the holidays, it will likely be in the New Year before I get my car back. The contract with Torq ends Dec 30. But, guess what??!? I CAN'T REACH ANYONE.

This place is a scam and rude people, should be reported to Better Business Burreau!!!...I had an accident and one of their mafia team from A Action towed my car from the highway to TORQ RENTAL CAR in HMAILTON to rent a car, and while you just had the accident and of course under the accident shock, they will ask you to sign a contract without even explaining any conditions and you will notice after that they had some hidden conditions to take against you if you want to return the car before your car is getting fixed!! they will ask you to pay $200 for an early return!!! and they will charge your card. When I called to ask for an early return, the guy was trying to scam me and say oh you signed the contract and it is written there, blah blah blah....in a very rude and disrespectful way!! STAY AWAY OF THIS PLACE!!!!

Torq Car Rental are hands down the best if you're looking for a reliable company in dealing with car rentals. The cars in are good shape, clean and some of the latest models. I had a pleasant experience and with the help of Mr. Fazal and Mr. Fahad. Thank you so much. With my insurance ending with my previous car, they had given me a rental car, a 2020 Corolla sedan to use until my new ride was ready for me. That was very nice of them. Not many companies do that and honestly they went out of their way to pick up the car rental from me due to my schedule. So reliable and grateful of them to do that. Thank you so much Torq Car Rental. Definitely will be continuing to referring you guys to anyone I know. 5/5 stars based on service, experience and professionalism.

The worst experience i had got from this rental place, i had an accident and tow person got me the rental car from this worst store. First they told me, they will pickup their vehicle from my place and then they cant do that and offered ride back home and gave me one extra day for free. When i went there to return their vehicle all the way from macmaster to stoneycreek with my baby and arrange my ride somehow they said there is no ride available and charged me for that extra day aswell. I forgot my keys in car and they didnot respond me for that. They were rude and unprofessional. Very unethical fazal was the one i spoke to . I wouldn’t recommend anyone this place also if u want to get ripped off ,you are more then welcome to use their services

Amazing company. They opened saturday just for me to help me get a car asap. Showed me how use certain things on rental before I left. Stayed in touch with I strange since took a mo th to get my car back. Explained all paperwork I was signing. Did anwalk around car before I took and pointed out a dent so I wouldn't panic if I noticed when returning. When returned car they looked at it and came back and gave me thumbs up. Most amazing service I could ask for for a rental company. Stepped up to help me out asap. Didn't hesitate to do it for me. I will only use this company from now one. Profesional staff and caring as well If you want great service and someone who understands and helps when in a jam this is the place to go

horrible service by this company. I rented a car for a few days while my car was at the mechanic, and when my father returned the car, he forgot to remove a few other things from the car. This rental company did not even check the car inside once it was returned and immediately rented it out to another customer. I have called many times to inquire about my things and the company did not even offer to drop my belongings back to my house. Would give 0 stars if it was possible. I still do not have my things with me, and will never be going back to this company again. Horrible customer service, it is literally common sense to check a car you rented out to people once they return it to you.

Was in a accident torq rental recommend from tow driver awful experience it had no gas and no windshield washer fluid. The windshield was very dirty I tried to clean it and it would just smudge. I called to see if I could get out of the car and go to a rental my insurance suggested, they said it would be $250.00 I don’t understand there should be no contract. I then called back 5 days later to switch the car they had no more cars left in that class. On top of everything they charged my credit card $474.53. Do not...i repeat do not ever use this company...they are scammers! They charged my credit card without authorization stating some bs fine print! I specifically asked them why they needed my card for an insurance rental and they told me it was for 407 if I used it. In the end they charged me, tellingvme after the transaction qent through, for a large part of the rental because rhey were having issues with the insurance company. Now I have to chase the insurance company. Do not risk using them ever! Save yourself a huge headache do not ever rent from these people!

Torq Car Rental has provided me with outstanding service on two separate occasions, after car accidents. Not only did they provide me with brand new cars that were spotless, they also delivered them to my location very quickly, allowing me to get on with my day. Ali, Fahad and all of the staff I encountered were friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Wow, stay away from this mess of a company. They're designed to scam insurance company along with their partner tow companies Try to return the car early and they give you a poor description of their special services which is very vague on their rental agreement.. They then try to push a $250 early return charge on you to force you to keep the car for the date range thats forced on you Their special services is what their company is designed to do bring you the car when you need it. But they argue this is special.. So what is it?

DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! These people will charge you systematically extra fees by hiding in their contract a $250 fee for dropping off the car earlier than the contract date. If you can prove that you are not doing his on the insurance request but of your own will, then they justify the extra charge with a "special services delivery", which your insurance will not pay either. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS! They lie to your face and use every shady technique they can to overcharge for their very basic service.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. I got a car accident and tow truck driver referred me to torq. They will pay towing truck drivers for the referred and will charge you extra. I got red light camera ticket for $325 and they charged me $380 and when i talked them and they said you have to pay admin fee to us, which doesn’t make sense. They don’t know how to talk a customer. Very Bad Service. Please don’t go with them you guys can find other car rental just stay away for torq scammer.

these guys are scammers I got into a car crash and the tow truck driver referred me to torq clearly they have a deal going on cause they gave me a Toyota corolla and charged me 50 dollars a day I drove the car for 2 days and told them I didn't want the car and was going to a different rental company they told me I was locked in until my car was fixed and to told me I would need to pay a fee of $250 to get out of the contract.... Truly helpful and quick to come with a rental vehicle. It was my first ever accident and I didn't know how I'd get to and from work in the meantime while my car was in for a repair. I needed a rental after I was in a minor accident while insurance took care of the claim. Torq brought a vehicle to my work as a temporary solution until they had a slightly larger vehicle available, which they also brought to my work to swap out. Once insurance settlement was finished, they came and picked up the rental from my work again. A pleasure to deal with!

Was in a accident and had to get a car quick and it didn't take long at all within a hour I had a car ready for me to pickup and the car was in fantastic shape very clean. Beware. They will charge a $250 drop off fee or a special services fee. They do not tell you they are charging this but it will be on your invoice and your insurance company does not necessarily cover it. They will pay towing drivers for the referral. Just be careful I Do Not Recommend.

You guys should seriously start answering your phone. I needed to return my rental and had no idea where to go, I've been calling for weeks and have left voice messages. I hate to leave negative reviews but I'm hoping this could help you consider a better phone solution.

I dealt with the Hamilton office after a collision. Very accommodating, friendly and just overall helpful through the whole process of getting a car, dealing with insurance company ect. Would definitely recommend. Cars were new, less than 10,000 km (Honda, Toyota ect)

They were there with a car for me to jump in after my car was towed away but when it came time for them to pick it up they had no staff available and called a day ahead. Couldn't even promise to drop me off at my car. That's not 5 star service and your lucky you got 4

Very dishonest organization. Along with tow operator highly exaggerated their promises regarding no out of pocket and charged the insurer a daily rate twice that of enterprise or budget rentals only to leave me holding the bag at the end of the day.
