I have rented from this location a handful of times, and I must say the overall process is fairly simple, and the staff are relatively quick to help when you walk through the door. The store itself is clean and presentable, and it’s nicely spaced out inside should you have to take a seat and wait for assistance. I highly recommend having a reservation for a vehicle made in advance though at any of the Enterprise locations, just in case a store happens to be short on rental options, you would have traveled there for nothing. Enterprise currently has a decent selection of vehicles in their fleets, should you be seeking anything from standard sedans, to SUV’s, or even luxury level cars like BMW’s. Note that to rent a luxury level car you need to dish out a massive deposit fee, but more about that later in my review. My rating could have been higher in stars, but much like various other car rental agencies out there right now, the prices at Enterprise are far too steep to deserve a better rating. For one as I mentioned earlier, Enterprise’s deposit rates are very high and eat away at your credit card until you return the vehicle. The rental fees alone are also too high compared to what they were a year ago. I understand that inflation is currently everywhere, but I don’t believe that means car rental agencies should be gouging consumers with rates that have practically tripled in the past year or so. Another downfall for Enterprise right now is they currently are not permitting one-way trips, so if you need to rent a car from one store and return it to a different store, you should look for another rental agency immediately. At the end of the day if you’re in a bind and need a vehicle, Enterprise is there to help. I just hope they re-evaluate their deposit fees and rental rates in the near future to make the company more appealing to consumers again.

I picked up the car on the Tuesday morning after Thanksgiving 2023 and was rushed through the car review process by the girl saying, “Don’t worry. Anything under 2” is fine” as I was trying to point things out to her as I walked upright around the car. I certainly did not get down on my knees and study the pattern of the grill and see the slight cracks and what you see in the other photos, many of which had to be taken from your knees and zoomed in (especially the one with the finger) which I see now I should have done. Btw, these photos that they sent me that I promptly told them were ridiculous and unwarranted (I had no incident to damage the car) on a car with 82,000 km (wear and tear) were accompanied by a $1000 UNANNOUNCED and UNAUTHORIZED charge on my VISA card that I only found out about on review of my next bill! This is totally unacceptable and I warn you not to rent at this location. I guess it is their policy to stick it to the customer when their management trainee can find something to get them money for. I will be seeking my legal rights against such treatment. I tried visiting the location but I find they are always closed outside of regular business hours when I work out of town (except Saturday morning).

2 weeks ago my vehicle was totalled. This enterprise was able to provide me with a rental the same day as my accident. Over the last two weeks I have had to deal with so many people between insurance, brokers, car dealerships, etc. My insurance offered me a settlement and told me I had to return my rental the next day, I had not yet found a car which was very stressful. I asked insurance to extend the rental for me which they would not and said I would have to pay for it. I went in to enterprise on my own and spoke to Adam who was so helpful and understanding. He was able to give me a 5 day extension on my vehicle and offered to charge it at the previously discussed insurance based rate (which was significantly cheaper for me). I have to say a huge thank you to both Adam and Abraham who both were so helpful, very quick to respond, reached out to make sure everything was above my expectations, empathic, and understanding. Being with this location through this process made my life so much easier which was much needed during such a stressful time! Thank you all so much

If I could give this place a 0 star i would, the worst company to rent from. They over charged my mom and we tried so many times to get into contact with them. My brother continuously called them for two months and they always told him they’ll get back to him and investigate the situation. The last time he called them they told him it’s impossible how he wasn’t called in to resign the rental agreement each month that he rented but he was never asked to. They quoted him a different price in the beginning and told him it would be cheaper if he rented monthly. When he returned the car he was charged double of what he should’ve been charged and on top of that they didn't take money out per month they took out money all at once. And on top of that he was charged interest within those two months. After multiple times of my brother going into the branch he finally got ahold of the manager and he told him there is nothing that they can do. This is complete and unacceptable management. This place is a whole scam.

This place is a fraud rental spot. Overcharged my mother quoted one price charged another. I called them for two months wanting to figure this problem out they kept telling me they was investigating after 2 months of me trying get in contact with them I went to the branch myself. When I got in there Raj the branch manger one of the worst mangers I’ve ever came across looked me dead in the face and said there’s nothing they can do about it even after telling me multiple times they were going to investigate the situation. I have left so many voice messages went into the branch myself left my personal contact information and still no one was reaching out to me. After all this they charged my mother interest on her personal card because supposedly they were investigating for 2 months. I’m so disappointed in their value for customers all they care about is scamming their customers. I’ve never had an experience like this in my life I would not recommend them to anyone.

If I could give this a zero I would. My insurance company rented a car from here so I had no choice. They gave us a car with a disgusting Petrie dish of stains in the back and smelling of fresh cigarette smoke. They rushed the checkout. Luckily we took pictures. They called two days into a long term rental saying the car was “sold” and wanted it back. They picked it up and said we were responsible for damage to the front skirt/trim. They told us we would have to pay $1000 in damage deductible, blaming us for the damage and that the last person who rented it brought it back without damage. Originally we didn’t think the photos at the time of rental caught the damage but later we reviewed photos and it in fact did show they rented the car with damage. These people and the area manager lie about damage and will try to blame. CYA when dealing with this location.

I took my car for repair and they arranged for the car to be picked enterprise somebody came to pick me up. I go there and a lady gave me a smallest sheet car I drive suv so I told her and she said they don’t have another car come back on Monday so I had to use all w/k end . So I phone on Monday and some guy I talked to told me insurance company wants me to have small piece of sheet. I phoned insurance company and they told me they never said anything like that because it was’ t my fold. So I phoned back and this other guy said he has suv he was going to phone me I told him I am coming to pick up car he said ok . I go there and he said we gave this car to somebody. It’ll him I am not leaving until I get a car. He sorted looking for car and after two hours they find a car from another place. I am telling you they have wrist staff there.

Do NOT rent from this location, the SUV I picked up was dirty and barely had gas. Then when I was honest about a hit and run they overcharged my credit card. It wasn't my fault and the damage wasn't bad but they still overcharged me. When I got there and we were inspecting the SUV, it was dirty inside and not happy about the gas level. The employee says for me to wait and he will go get gas plus clean it. It should have been done before I got there and I have a baby so I don't have time to wait around. Very dissapointed with this location and never going back there. Even when I told them about it on the phone they wouldn't lower the rental price and wouldn't put the deposit back on my credit card. People stay far away from this place and go somewhere else.

If we could give a higher rating we would. This is by far the best car rental service we have been to. One of the biggest reasons for our continuation of going to Enterprise is because of the manager, Corissa. Corissa presents the highest level of customer experience, professionalism and kindness. She is very personable and very good at what she does! Every time we go there, our favourite vehicle is prepared nice and clean! The experience with her keeps getting better and better, which is why we will drive that extra 20km just to go to this location to rent a car! Whenever you are haded to Enterprise, ask for Corissa she will give you an unforgettable experience! Thank you so much for the great service as always and we will continue spreading the word.

I’m trying to book a rental for a trip (7 seater) and I have a corporate discount which would provide a much lower daily rate than their regular fee. However, online it won’t let me book the car with the discount rate. I called and the person said there are no cars that have more than 5 seats. I advised her that I can see there are cars available without the code to which she said ‘there’s a shortage so the discount can’t be applied to bigger vehicles’. I don’t understand how you can have an agreement with companies to provide discounted rates but then refuse to apply the discount. The shortage in their fleet isn’t my fault and the discount should be honoured regardless of their business shortfalls.

Booked through Costco an SUV for my trip to New York from Toronto. Was expecting a good vehicle but unfortunately I received an SUV in very bad condition. It was almost 100,000 km driven car and tire tread were at the lower end ( they mentioned as per their policy it meets the safety requirement ). I was driving with family including a 4 year boy . The car was loosing steering control in between. Some how managed to reached back safely. Car insurance and registration was not availabe in the car (later they sent it via email ). Only one key was availabe ( they mentioned some car with one key only availabe ). Highly disappointed. Staffs were friendly .

I have had worst experience , please read till end carefully. The girl at reception does not have manners at all , she tries to be super quick as she thinks she is smart lol she is nonsense. She made wrong invoice at first due to which we didn’t able to extend the contract for one more day as she calculated more than expected which was later on found that we were right. Secondly, we thought to start a new contract for one more day , we got the car and we were literally about to leave, then she suddenly remember the Credit card was not under the driver’s name ,, sorry but we had previous contract done same way, you really troubled us . Please learn.

Anyone who can say a bad word about Upperjames location must be crazy!!! I have nothing but great service from them and will continue to rent from them. The fact that they offer insurance for the term is a total bonus. Anyone who says they are anything but great is telling a lie. They go out of their way to accommodate your needs. I rent from them all the time and will continue to do so!! Their service goes above and beyond.. i would give 6 stars if possible.. I would recommend them to everyone.. i can't understand how anyone would be unhappy with their service. Like i said, i can't see how anyone can be nothing but satisfied with their service.

I was promised by Enterprise's call centre that this branch will give me a call since I had questions about vehicles. No one called me the day I was promised the call. I called the branch again 15 minutes or so before it closes. No one picked up the call and I got transferred to the call centre. The call centre agent, John was rude. He initially refused to transfer me to his manager or supervisor. Later, he said that the escalation department is busy. Instead, he tried transferring the call to this branch again. No one picked up at the branch and it closed. I would prefer to not rent from here again.

I just wanted to share my experience with Jaouad. He has nothing but wonderful with a very busy airport and a long line. He was proficient and managed the line very well. All the costumer as far as I have seen were entirely satisfied with their service. He is truly an asset to the team and I can’t imagine how the counter would run without him. I am a regular here thanks to the prompt, professional and kind services offered by the staff here. But what makes the experience that MUCH better and memorable is when dealing with Joel, the assistant manager. He's very personable and helpful, when I need a car I prefer to deal with him as he always goes above and beyond. Be sure to visit him when you need a car or have any questions, he will have them answered promptly and accurately. Super happy with his services and I will continue going here and dealing with Joel, thank you again my friend.

Avoid Avoid Avoid... The worst experience I have ever seen. My personal car is a minivan had a hit and run accident on Wednesday and this car rental promised me to get a minivan after 6 days from the accident on Monday as they don't have minivans at the moment!!!! I went Tuesday instead of Monday after they promised me to get a SUV and when I came they said we only have a Sedan Toyota Camry. I refused to receive the car. I will make a complaint against them to my insurance company and also through the consumer protection in Ontario.

I rent from Enteprise 1-2 times a month either for work or personal use. This location is my go-to Enterprise location in Hamilton because the staff and systems are the most organized compared to other Enterprise locations in Hamilton. The manager, Mitesh, is also great in providing white glove service to people like me who are Enteprise Plus members. My preference is to always book an Elite vehicle and Mitesh always makes sure it’s ready for me when I arrive and that I can contact him directly if I have any questions or concerns.

Agent sold me additional accident coverage that was not required and said it could be cancelled...I called my insurance co and they confirmed it was duplicate and I called enterprise to cancel....when I returned the rental they tried to charge me and I indicated it was cancelled...three weeks later I receive an email from the manger Corissa MccDonald requesting payment and I responded explaining the cancellation. She never responded and processed the charge through my Credit Card.

Had a great experience picking up the rental car. Nick is super friendly, informative and patient. When it came down to deciding which car to choose he offered to show me each one and even stood outside while helping me connect to the Bluetooth. Thank you so much. Sometimes we’re not always picking up a rental for a good reason and I am glad/respected that even though I was stressed about driving a different car, you were very easy going and patient.

I've been renting from here for at least 10 years and after my last experience (about 20 minutes ago) I will never ever rent from here again. When I rented the car and we did the walk around and I pointed out some damage he quickly told me to ignore it and we kept walking around the car. When I brought back the car he claimed there was a crack in that exact location and now I have to pay for it. Ok, clever. Good for you. You just lost a customer.

I am a Chinese customer. I have been coming to Jay at this location all the time. Jay has been of such great help to me and to other Chinese people in the community. Jay speaks Chinese perfectley...such a nice guy, kind, helpful, funny, understands Chinese culture and humour sooooo well...glad to have one like him for the whole cummunity. Way to ho Jay, and keep awesomeness.

This guys are fraudulent! I gave them $3,000 deposit on September 1st and have no service and no response since then! I have asked for my money back and nobody is returning my calls! The manager Roge was the one who took the deposit and is now nowhere to be found! Had to hire a lawyer and spend extra $1,500 to go after this crooks! EVERYONE BE WARE OF THIS PLACE!!!

He is very friendly guy and always helps with any problems during the booking time and picking up vehicle. Even though the first car they gave me was way too small, it was a car. But they suggested I call them in the morning, because they could get me into something bigger. The next day, I received a much better fit for my needs, around noon.

This place is scam over charged me and then told me there’s nothing they can do about it and to talk to my credit card company. Also got my car needing an oil change. Ridiculous.
