If you are looking for a small park, to spend an hour on a quick walk or just getting a little outside time this is a great place to do it. There is outside basket ball, baseball, a fenced dog park area, children’s playscapes and more. The atmosphere is enjoyable with a group fitness class at the front of the park and a game of cricket taking place in the field. There is outside fitness equipment and an enjoyable short, mostly shaded walking trail that leads to a small body of water. Perfect for your puppies to cool off in. In isolated areas of the park there was quite a bit of trash, and there was more than a normal amount of dog poop left behind. This could be do to a lack of doggie bag and trash stations. But over all it was a good experience. A solid 3.5 but I don’t round up ☺️. Thank you for reading and Happy Adventures!

Don’t bring your dogs here. The dog parks are not maintained; people don’t pick up after their dogs, they don’t follow the rules, and there is always a dog fight breaking out (which the owners won’t take responsibility for). And now the only perk to Tom Slick has been taken away from the public. The small “lake” and walking trail around it is no longer accessible thanks to the new housing they’re building. The rest of the park is bone dry grass and dust that you and your dogs will hate walking through. Something out of a post apocalyptic movie.

I truly appreciate our city for preserving this park for generations to enjoy. Love the uniqueness of the flora diversity, so many native plants that Ive not come across in other Bexar County parks. Been a while since I came to this park, I was shocked to see the water level today compared to a few years back! We need to start addressing the seriousness of the drought of 2022. Pictured 9/23/2018 vs today 9/10/2022 this is an incredible difference!

Disappointed. Found the sidewalk was closed off around the pond, looks like the new housing area is backed up to the park, so they cut down a lot of trees around that side of the pond. Going to miss the shaded areas If you want to access the pond you can get to it through the Tom Slick Community park entrance. There is very limited parking . You will not be able to walk completely walk around the pond because of the sidewalk closure.

Wonderful Park. Where we met a wonderful man who coach basketball. He take his time to do something great and amazing for other people children and always there to just help others. Not just with practices but even motivational and inspiring words to help keep these kids off the streets and stay in school. I appreciate Coach Tone. He is just the perfect Coach every child needs. What a bless Soul & Heart he is.

Only spent about 30 mins there and only at the doggie park. It's always nice to take my fur babies there cuz it's kept really clean and have tennis balls all over the area for them to play with. It could use a few improvements like a couple more shaded area for both humans and doggies during the summer until the trees grow larger to take care of it

I have never been to such a beautiful park, and I had no idea it was so close to where I lived. The weather was beautiful and it wasn't packed either. The trail near the lake was even better. People came to fish, walk their dogs, and some to just enjoy the trail. My favorite activity was skipping rocks on the lake. We plan to go back very soon.

Sometimes dirty, but my dog’s favorite park. I walk my cat here too. Be sure to take the water-lovers to the pond! Big open field for dogs who love fetch. Would not recommend the water during the summer as it gets warm and bacteria grows and can give your dog a skin infection. That’s no one’s fault though, just be wary ☺️

Nice park for family and pets. Baseball ground is nice. The cricket ground needs to be maintained properly a lot of bushes, gravel and not enough grass. There are so many tiny fishes in the water right next to the trail. Parking space might need to be extended.

This park is really nice for a walk, very quiet and well managed. Not really big for someone who is looking for a long walk..but you can turn around the lake many times to compensate for the short walking distance..and it's worth it to be in such a beautiful place and nature.

Overall, a nice area for your fur baby. As of right now, the area for the bigger pups is closed for construction so it was a bit chaotic having the smaller dogs and the bigger dogs all in one area. The area is well maintained and the place is very nice.

A nice hidden gem in town. the park features a playground, dog park, picnic tables, softball field, and a running trail around a nice fishing lake. this park only lacks better lighting at night, especially around the running trail for safety.

This review is in regards to the small dog park. This park is completely unmaintained and very unsafe. There are rocks and sticker burrs everywhere just a recipe for sliced paw pads and to make matters worse, The water fountains don’t work.

Awesome place to spend time with family, friends and dogs. The kids playground is well maintained and the dog park is pretty decent. The dog park has fences and gates so you don't have to worry about your dog running away from you while at

Need a place to have your friendly puppy stretch his legs and show of his fetch skills, well look no further. This place has park equipment for kids a baseball diamond and a large open field to run around in. Lastly it even has a fence off

This is a great park, with lots of open space to run around, or throw a ball around. There's a baseball area, a basketball court, a small playground area, a dog park that's really fun, and even a walking/jogging trail. My only complaints

  • Michelle Bybee

This was a nice relaxing park with a trail going around the pond/small lake, but I am rating it 3 stars only because the dog park was not as fun as we had hoped it would be because the lastest storm flooded the area and knocked down the

There's no water feature/pond open to the public at this time. We encountered "sidewalk closed" signs and saw a big temporary fence put up like they're remodeling. We stayed in the regular dog park, which has very few trees or grass and

Great hill top park. Nice for roller skating and open area for kites, on-site baseball field. When you walk toward the dog park. Follow that trail to covered area. It has a small pond and gorgeous animals on a circle trail. So much fun!

  • JOSEPH NIELSEN

Don't go here. I want it all to myself. It's a very good place to bring your dog. There's plenty of space to go out and train off leash. The trail around the pond is good enough and large enough for running as well. …

Nice park located near loop 4-10 and 151. It has a dog park, ballpark, playground, a few picnic tables and a nice paved walking trail that goes around what seems like a former small quarry filled with with some water. More

I really do not like it now. The best part of it for me was the trail that I would take my kids and dogs for walks around. Hopefully it comes back but with the new development going up I doubt it. It freakin SUCKS!!

  • G Tomas V

Nice clean community park. 2 dog parks, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. Half mile loop around a small lake is very nice especially for the kids. Lots of construction around the trails.

  • Sharon Valdez

This is a very nice park with great features and beautiful scenery. However, the bathroom situation is not adequate, and there is plenty of litter lying around.

  • Angie Garcia

Took my kids because they are a little older and remember this park. The look on their faces when they tell me they remember. Great park and walking trail.

  • Ryan Annis

Great place to go for a family walk. A decent fishing place. A nice dog park. A nice playground for the kids. A large wide open field to play in.
