Took my kids here as we've been visiting different splash pads around the city. There's trash all over, many ants crawling anywhere that the ground is not wet, many ant piles in the small grassy areas, the restrooms are disgusting and there are many homeless people hanging around the children's play areas so I did not feel safe (not all, but some you can tell are clearly on drugs). The biggest deal-breaker for me was seeing the homeless people come and go to bathe in the water on the children's splash pad. I saw one homeless woman put her head DIRECTLY on the archway water sprinklers to wash her matted hair and body. I feel terrible for these people that it has come to that point in their lives that they live like that, but this is a children's play area and should be monitored by some sort of security. Definitely is the worst splash pad/playground in the city so far. Never coming back here again.

This place is beautiful. Lovely trails and bridges and views. Restroom, splash pad, and a great, unique playground. I am sad to deduct a star because of the homeless population that the city has failed to keep away. I can’t recommend for a young mom to enjoy the whole grounds on her own with her children, even in the middle of the day. The playground and splash pad would be fine as they are normally busy with friendly people. But walking further away you are almost certain to run into seedy men or women. One was arrested for trying to break into the large storage container while we were there last. Hope the city can fully reclaim this area and keep it safe.
Playground
Regular and baby swings, smaller playground, and larger playground with cool and unique climbing structures. Also adult workout equipment surrounding it. To the side is a small but enjoyable splash pad.

I love this park, but yesterday around 6:30pm there was a different crew, I'm guessing because, they were not paying any attention kids running and there was one particular little girl around in her 3yrs and as we were walking in through the gate, she was walking out alone...she went to the splash pad and got close to the lake by there, thank the two young men from the pool were watching her, as she made her way back to the pool, her I guess father was in the pool with like 6 more small kids, he didn't even know she was gone, all of those were just everywhere running and I never hear the life guards, whistle or do anything about it. No order no restrictions, the crew look like they really didn't care. Now I've gone at 1pm and that crew is on it. Anyways it just was so unsafe yesterday.

Great place for families to enjoy their afternoon. Ample space for seating and gathering. Exciting splash pad area to get wet and cool off. There's also a regular dry zone playground. Offers covered spaces with picnic tables, and importantly nearby the play area so you can keep an eye on the kids. Food trucks are present and ready to serve delicious snacks and sweet treats. There's more -did I mention the Olympic size pool right next to the park! Complete with life guards/staff.
Playground
Fun, exciting, safe, soft ground & well equipped, opens up the imagination!
Restrooms
There is a public rest room, but it's a little neglected. Kinda creepy,
Picnic area
Covered, close to play area, ample picnic tables and seating.

Very nice looking park, cement trails, great for a pair of legs, scooters, bikes and wheelchairs. There's a playground area and a splash pad, there's also a swimming pool (guess it opens in the summer season) Good amount of picnic tables and benches with shade. Park has a large lake and has beautiful big trees, good green spaces. A good variety of wildlife can be found at this park, which include several species of ducks (mallard, muscovy, pekins etc) and geese (Egyptian and Embden geese), squirrels and migratory birds on bird island (cormorants, cattle and snowy egrets). Would visit this park again. I recommend visiting this park with 2+ people and be mindful of surroundings.

A lovely park with many ducks, a splash pad and water area for children, well-maintained grounds, and many ornate bridges. The park is located right next to OLLU, and I had a delightful quick walk there. The water didn't smell too bad, and the ducks kept to themselves. The restrooms, on the other hand, were either locked or in disrepair and dirty. I'm assuming this is because it was a Saturday afternoon, and they are typically maintained during the week. Other than that, I do see myself revisiting this park. I was a little worried because I live in the area and know that this park can have some rough characters, but it was a pleasure overall.

I love that they have a public pool for the community seems very well kept. The park is really big with lots of water views and ducks. I would recommend planning a 6-11 walk or 4-6 walk for a good breeze; between that is just too hot. My puppy doesn't want to walk but runs to find shade so his paws don't burn and you cant really let them off the leash to play because theres just too much going on (street dogs, ducks that will lead your dog to the water and cars lots of cars due to the main road) . If you don't have a pet, I say go for it, just bring some sun screen, the sun is scorching.

Free pool, closed on Mondays. There is also a lake near by and a playground and small splash pad. Bathrooms are a bit unkept but the pool is great and kid friendly. There is no seating in the pool area so you would need to bring your own chair or cooler to sit on. There is some shades around the pool.
Playground
Small playground and splash pad right next to the pool that is useful when they call a break for the life guards.
Restrooms
Single stall restrooms on the exterior of the pool area and then more bathrooms in the pool area. Not very clean.

It’s a great place to exercise. Two loops around the lake equals three miles. The playground is divided to accommodate toddles and older kids. The splash pad is a fun place to cool down. At the playground there is an area for calisthenics. If you don’t mind working out around families and kids, you will like it. The sidewalk offers lots of shade from the trees, places to fish, and picnic. The pool is free admission from 1:00-7:00 and offers free lunch for kids at 2:00. There are homeless that like to hang out at the park, and there is trash everywhere.

  • Antonio De haro

Went there today with my goddaughter. She had a great time and loved every minute of it. Next time she says she want to go for longer.they open at 1pm and close at 8 pm and its free.good for kids pool goes only to 4 1/2 feet but I was still able to swim ok and I'm 5 10
Playground
Great wet and dry playground for the kids
Restrooms
Men's and women's bathrooms with handicap accessible
Picnic area
Not much for bbq but it's good to have a packed picnic.

We found this park on accident. We were just driving around just checking out our new city ( well we been here 5 months) and just happen to look to the right and bam!! There it was. Such a beautiful park. From the reviews it said there were alot of homeless people roaming around but we didn't see anything that made us feel uncomfortable. It was a beautiful day out here. We will most definitely be back

  • Mental Monkey

At first glance it looks like an amazing park to bring your friends and pets. My wife and I went for a walk to check it out before we brought our pupper. I am glad we did. It smells like dead fish and bird poop. There were dead birds everywhere on the ground, beyond where it is visible from the street. We had to literally watch every step so we could avoid as much bird poop as possible.

Beautiful park. We went for the water lantern festival so there were a ton of people. I'm not sure how safe it would be to visit on a weekday which is a shame because it is a very pretty place. But, the surrounding neighborhood is shabby. The businesses were all fenced in with pitbulls for gaurd dogs. I was 100% worried about my car the whole time we were there.

  • Shirley Trinidad Jackson

That's my 1st here and love it. Pools are open during the week but the park is nice and fun, the water splash pad basic but enough for them. Sunday afternoon frequently busy.
Playground
Very nice and clean. Almost new
Restrooms
The woman restroom was open but the guys restroom was close.
Picnic area
They are tables with shade.

The most beautiful park I have visited in San Antonio. Good place to walk around with kids to keep them entertained. The water is gorgeous and the ducks and other animals, is something amazing. We started walking from the parking on the right side towards the water park. I gotta say that we had the best time. Just look at these pics.

Beautiful lake Went out for kayaking with a group on the weekend. Enjoyed the spot so much , a group of us returned less than a week later ! The lake is beautiful & easy to maneuver The drop for the kayak is easy. No fee to kayak Bring your own kayak There is an area that has a lot of trash and it makes the lake look terrible…

  • JMP

Peaceful, gorgeous park with lots of nature, birds, ducks and turtles. This park has plenty of shade, picnic tables and grills. Gorgeous bridges and a dock. The lake is beautiful. There are plenty of trails to walk run or bike on. I can't wait to go back. The only downside was the restrooms were out of order.

  • Karissa Starr

Nice park, but needs work, the water was off so there was no way for kids to get wet on the splash pad or drink from the water fountains due to pool construction. Playground area needs better shade. More picnic tables would be nice. Restrooms were very dirty and there was No toilet paper!.

  • T Will

Great Park for a stroll, a jog, a picnic or even some fishing.... Although I've never seen anyone actually catch anything more than a tan. Well kept grounds and good parking options. Bring a bottle of water however, I wasn't looking for a water fountain but I didn't see any either.

  • JoseAngel Siller

Always cool to ride through this park. It's always clean with families cooking out, jogging, fishing, cycling and quince photo shoots. Maybe having the public restrooms open would be a big plus. They are almost always locked. There is a porta potty over by the kids splash park.

  • Amy Lee

Really nice playground pool and park for the kids. The swimming pool is currently only open in the weekends 1-7. Unfortunately didn’t know that before coming here. Kids had a blast anyway at the playground and splash pad. They also really enjoyed chasing ducks at the lake

  • Martin Amador

I walk my 2 little dogs around the Park twice a day, every day, before going to work and after work when I get home, and it's always very enjoyable. It's always clean and I run into the most pleasant people here. Always, safe distancing and Always wear your mask.

  • Steve Young

Hands down one of San Antonio's best city parks. It's kind of a hidden gem. The facilities are second to none. Beautiful pool, trails, splash pad and so much more. The lake and island are gorgeous with spectacular views of Our Lady of the Lake University.

  • Angelita Tijerina

It's beautiful, peaceful, love watching the ducks as they swim, beautiful scenery but those portal potties are disgusting, all the public bathrooms should be cleaned and trash needs to be checked on. Some trash cans were full. I did enjoy myself. …

  • Blanca G

Pool was amazing with a beach like entrance. Fun playground for the kids and a beautiful view of the lake. Only wish we could bring our own ice chests with food/drinks bc ice cream truck was too pricey.
Playground
Big with lots to do!

  • vivek p

We loved this park, this is one of the hidden jewels right in the heart of the city, we reached on Sunday evening just before sundown but to out surprise the park was pretty empty, same for the play areas. Its very well maintained and pretty

  • Des Rey

It was a great park! They have a obstacle course type play area that our older kids enjoyed. There is a splash pad and pool available. Plenty of benches ,some shade. Could use more shade , especially in the play area.Heard multiple children

  • Jess Conrad

I had a lovely walk around the lake on a chilly morning. There were a few loose dogs, so if you're walking with a pup, be mindful of that. Otherwise, there are lots of birds and turtles to look at and many places to just sit and enjoy the

  • Anna Adams

Beautiful and relaxing, this is a good place to play on the playground, splash in the water park, spend time with the ducks, or traverse the trails. However, safety can be an issue, so be aware of your surroundings and use common sense.

  • Brittanie Michaele

I love a good scenic view and this is one of the great places in San Antonio that makes you feel like you are apart of nature. Great place to walk, ride, or just relax. Very peaceful and definitely worth stopping by.

I love to take my walks here early in the morning. I can reflect on life and just take in nature. So quiet and peaceful when I go. Only downside is no restrooms and homeless people.

  • M Mau

Kids love it here. Lots of ducks and fun to paddle in at sunset. Didn't see any signs against it and checked online as well, didn't seem to be a problem and the kiddos loved it.

  • justin munoz

Great place and it’s free! The water in water park area is activated by the short spout in water park with a green hand painted on it. Just press n hold the green hand
