I called to ask how much a Day Pass was, where they are located since their old phone number redirected me to a new one, and what cardio machines they have. I was met with a condescending, “we’re at the same place we’ve been for the past 38 years” along with a snide laugh and a, “we don’t have cardio machines; if you’ve ever been here before we do weights and body building, that’s all we do, alright? Bye bye.” Obviously, I don’t know about your gym, that’s why I’m calling to ask. You don’t have to be an elitist asswad. Maybe you should put down the weights and try working out your humility and customer service skills for the next few weeks. A toxic masculine attitude isn’t a good look for any business.

Been coming to this gym since 2013. It used to have old 80s equipment with neon lights and murals on the wall from the 80s. Since then it's gotten remodeled with brand new equipment and flooring. The vibe in Texas gym is always positive. It's a great place for beginners to start and for professionals to get their pump. The owners are great people who are always in a great mood. Raffles for gear, protein and supplements take place every Thursday at 10:30pm with free entry. The gym is open every holiday for those who want a quick pump before celebrating with friends and family or for those who have nowhere else to go. The people there are one big family. Highly recommend going here over any fitness gym.

Literally the WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced from a gym. New to the area and looking for a real gym to train at - called to see if I could come check it out for the day and was told “No. You can pay $20 for the month.” I explained that I was trying different gyms in the area before committing to a membership and was again told “$20 for 1 day or or 30 days; all the same.” and then was hung up on. Doesn’t matter how good a gym is when the people who run it/work there don’t care about their own potential customers.

My Experience was phenomenal! Kim is wholesome: he really cares about you getting results. He allows an open atmosphere: which is welcoming and also it inspired me to bring out the best while at the gym. If your looking for a nitty-gritty- hidden gem kinda deal: this is it. I feel Arnold or Lou worked out here: lol. One Day They Will Say Edgardo worked out there & i will say it was all thanks to Kim'

Been going here on and off since high school it’s a no nonsense gym you come lift and go the other ppl are friendly the owner is one of the nicest ppl I’ve ever met and there’s plenty of power lifters and body builders that will offer you advice if you ask or if they see you struggling no judgement here because everyone’s here to workout

It's not a clean place, some of the equipment is damaged or is getting there, but the price is right (about 20$/year) and you have everything you need to work out hard. It's definitely a "hardcore" gym. Most people there are willing to spot you and correct your form if you ask. I've been going here for years and the owner is a good guy.

I train here frequently. If your looking for a hardcore gym this is it, but if you want to be all clean and proper like LA fitness this is not your gym. This is the kind of gym that is for the community and builds the community but it’s also a gym that isn’t really about growth as far as the gym equipment and conditions itself.

This right here is a real man's gym, this place is where dreams come true and weakness dies. Texas Gym is the happiest place on Earth. No matter where I find myself in the day, I always crave my return to this gym, if I could, I would move in, but sadly it's a gym not a home, although it feels like the home I never had.

Always a good place to get a pump. The guy at the desk is friendly and so are the people that workout there. Most people are cool if you jump in their rotation on the equipment. I really like that because I don't have to wait next to someone else working out just to get a workout in. Absolutely recommend this gym.

Perfect place for anyone who has or wants to step into the bodybuilding path. The experience is what you will take away from here, some of the equipment is even hand-made by prior Olympians! I can't believe I paid just $20 for a year, visiting from southern California most gyms like this charge that for one day!

For me ,when I exercise, I get a feeling of comfort and relaxation. My whole body changes into a more calm and care-free 'structure'. Exercise makes life more enjoyable and fun. True enjoyment comes from activity of the mind and exercise of the body; "the two are ever united"!And is very affordable.

I come here for the double soy lattes and the Pilates equipment. The yoga mats are plush. The owner uses lavender-honey fragrances to spray down the benches after you work out. The towels are warm and oh smell great. I go here to socialize, enjoy my latte and discuss politics with the locals.

I like it cuz you can wear your work clothes immediately after I get off of work so therefore I don't have to put on the gym clothes to go get my workout that's why I like it and they also have good prices on the protein testosterone boosters body protein liquid amino acids is good for me

I was just an average lifter at youfit but until I found this cool gym which has a old school vibe and let’s you become a beast. I became a better version of myself future Mr.Olympia in the making. If you see any of guys who works on upper body make fun of their calves

I can handle the rust, the half broken machines, the lack of space; everything you'd expect from hardcore gym, but you've committed a cardinal sin by not having a single bloody squat rack. Save yourself the 5$ for the day pass unless you're a complete bench bro.

The owner Kim has upgraded a lot of his equipment still all free weights. New plates, new dumbbells, new gym wear, multiple supplement choices. Any questions you need answered ask kim and ask for a workout routine schedule.

Best gym in Dallas, this is a true gym. It might be small, but it is all you need, to get big. Been working out there for 2 yrs and loved it. The people there are swole, but they give you advice and wise words. I loved it!

Moved to the area and looking for a powerlifters gym so I checked this place out. The facebook page is just a some middle aged lady posting hundreds of selfies. Gave it a shot any way. It was ok, smelled a little musty.

This is not a gym for rookies. It’s dark, loud, the weights aren’t pretty but it’s exactly what I was looking for to lift. The price and environment is unbeatable. If I still lived in the area I’d still be lifting here.

This gym is not for the faint of heart, it is a HARDCORE gym. If you're a Fu Fu snowflake, you may want to stay at 24 Hour or Planet Fitness. If you want to get swoll, and as strong as an ox, Texas Gym is for you.

Good spot ,but the white girl who works there is rude and turned me away just because I didn't have my card..I been coming to this gym everyday for the past year..I even give tips and donatios SMH.
