I am sincerely APPALLED at this bakery for their lack of humanity. My grandfather was there over the weekend and spent $70. The poor 83 year old man locked himself out of his car and had to use the washroom. As he waited for a family member to come with a spare set of keys, he had to go to the washroom so went back into the bakery (where, let me remind you, he just spent $70). They said they had no washroom for him to use. I truly CANNOT believe this was the answer he was given. I will never give you business and I hope people consider where your values lie based on this before giving you any business either. EDIT BASED ON REPLY FROM SAN PIETRO: That is not an excuse nor a proper answer to this situation. My grandfather was never offered to use the washroom accompanied by an owner/employee. Instead, he ended up having to walk over 3 blocks to a dep to use a washroom. He even offered to give them $5 as a thank you and they looked at him like he was crazy to be offering them money to use their washroom. That’s how much he felt that it was a big sacrifice to use an establishment’s washroom. Terrible!!! And to an elderly man on a freezing cold day, locked out of his car. Teach your employees to have empathy towards humans and understand certain “exceptions” to your “rule”.

Honestly, im very bummed to give this place 2 star. Because my first experience with a personalized birthday cake was amazing. The last two times though, they screwed up my cake. The cake taste was really good but they completely failed with what i asked for this time. I called and emailed them , and they never got back to me. What a shame. The service has gone down. Not only did they get the look wrong, I had to find out myself the morning I was supposed to pick up my cake that it wasn't even done yet. The time prior to that, they got the flavor wrong. Though they gave other pastries for their mistake, they let me down once again with no call back, nothing. Be aware of this place. Its become, unsatisfactory. Im usually not one to leave such bad reviews but after the lack of service, I had to warn others. Save yourself the disappointment and look for another place that will appreciate and care for their clientele.

The owners of this bakery are so nice. I ordered a custom cake on quite short notice, but Pina was able to pull it off perfectly. The communication with her was great and the cake looked exactly like I wanted it. There was a little hick-up with the filling and because of that Pina cut the price of the cake in half, which she really didn't have to do, because it was still great. The bakery doesn't look impressive from the outside but you can clearly see that they love what they're doing. It has a very charming small-town feel to it and the other baked goods looked great and self-made with care. A sweet little bakery with amazing people that seem to work very hard. I highly recommend them :)

I had never been to this bakery before but I always notice how busy it is, as well as all the positive reviews, so I decided to order my next cake from here. I ordered the San Pietro cake with some custom decorations. I was very impressed with Pina’s service, she was friendly, the cake was ready on time and the decorations far surpassed my expectations. The cake itself was delicious, it was so fresh and flavourful, my guests raved about it and we all agreed it was the best cake we’d had in a long time! If you need a delicious cake made to impress for your next occasion go with this bakery (I know I will!) You won’t be disappointed!

Very disappointed. The meringue on the lemon pie was grainy, they did not melt the sugar, and that's a basic thing to know when making meringue! The lemon curd tasted super artificial, way too sour. We also had the lobster tails, which were ok (pastry itself is good) but the filling is way too heavy and rich, one is enough for 3 people to have few bites and that's it. Only reasons I give it 2 stars is because the staff was great and they had a lot of nice products, but stay away from their pastries.

One of the best bakeries in Montreal. My father has been going here for many years and they have never let us down. Everything from their sandwiches to their pastries are delicious. Pina is super helpful, every time we ask her for a specific cake design she goes above and beyond to exceed are expectations! If you're looking for a bakery shop with great service and great pastries, this is definitely the place to go.

First time and having mixed feelings. First off, we were looking forward to the lobster tail pastries, however, how disappointing!!! The pastry was very humid and not crispy at all. Aren't these pastries usually freshly made on Thursday? Thankfully, the breads were very good as well as the tomato pizza. All in all, we are willing to go back to try other products. Hopefully my constructive critism will help.

Lobster tail, it looks amazing , I try the ricotta one. It was too big so I cut it in 4 and shared it whit some friends. Nobody like it, the dough was the problem. It was hard, not easy chew . The ricotta filling, I like it but my friend found it too acid. There was a line outside, they have many things and the service is friendly. Maybe I wasn’t lucky whit my selection .

Came by at 6:30pm when their website and Google said that they were open till 7pm and they were closed. 1 hour wasted in traffic for nothing. I brought my wife here and she swears by it. I live in the east end and have many bakeries, but this one is amazing. We drive all the way here every few weeks to pick up a cake, pastries or the turnovers which are fresh and well made. Keep up the good work. Jus t to mention, bread is also good, but we come more for the sweet stuff.

Great authentic Italian bakery. They custom made an R2-D2 birthday cake for my daughter's birthday that went beyond my expectations. Not to mention they quoted me less than half of what two other bakeries did. I'll be going to them for all of my children's birthday cakes from now on. Their pastries are unbelievable as well. A++++

You will feel the warmness of family there. Great place, great price and great quality. The cannolis ohhhh boy the best so far with its cinnamon crust and whipped Ricotta You will find a great collection of Italian products . Try to visit it the earliest as possible as the cannolis fly away very fast Overall great place.

AMAZING service &cake!! We had our own moment with the baker herself for exactly how we envisionned our cake and they delivered with flying colors! It wasen'T too sweet so everyone loved it and they killed the follow-up costomer service for our specific needs :) We highly recommend this place, they are great!!

It was my first time I bought tail of lobster pastry ( coda di lagostina) and must say was a bit upset. The shell wasn't crispy as I was expecting!? Sadly my five 5⃣ pastries were a waste of money . The filling (cream) was perfect though. The store is beatifully decorated and staff very kind.

I crossed the city to buy a cake at this bakery based on the glowing reviews but was disappointed. The cake I bought was beautiful but was really stale. The bottom layer especially was dried out and had that terrible stale cake taste. I suspect I was sold a leftover Mother's Day cake for $30.00.

San Pietro Bakery is awesome !!! Miss Pina makes the most amazing birthday cakes ! She made 3 original designs for my family, and they were all fantastic ! She can literally make anything you ask for, I definitely recommend her services ! (The food at the bakery itself is also really tasty...)

I just called to ASK about a price for a cake the lady was no help . terrible costumer service super rude !!! didn’t even know or had 0 interest in helping. Never been here wouldn’t know if it’s good but I was going to be a costumer but what can you do when you get bad costumer service.

There are many great bakeries across Montreal and Laval. To me, this one takes the cake!(pun intended) Their tomato pizza tastes as good today as it did when my nonno would treat us to it on Sundays about 30 years ago. Pastries always on point. A must try for any and all Montrealers!!

We chose San Pietro to create our wedding cake and it was the best decision ever!! Our cake turned out so beautiful (and most importantly delicious) and it was made exactly the way we wanted it. Pina was amazing to work with and communication was spot on. Cannot recommend them enough!

Got a custom-made cake and it was beautiful and flavourful! Pina was really helpful when I explained what I wanted and gave me suggestions as well. Very reasonable prices compared to other bakeries. Their pastries are also very fresh and rich in flavour too!

Worst customer service ever. We called because we payed for deserts that we never got. I called to explain the problem but we just got a rude answer from one of the Girls that works there. Not going back. Advice to the owner chose your employees property.

Walked in to buy a birthday cake for my girlfriends birthday. I asked the girl working there which was the freshest and she gave me a Ferraro Rocher cake with mold on it. It ruined the birthday supper and could have made my pregnant girlfriend sick.

Wow! The baked goods are delicious and the customer service is beyond expectations. My son was celebrating his 3rd birthday, that morning he woke up with a fever- they were so accommodating I was speechless. Amazing! Delicious and fabulous!

There was a friendly lady to help me to choose the pastries. She even put those into a beautifully wrapped box. They have great variety of pastries and breads. I would say the taste was average though I want to try their cannoli next time.

She is a amazing.... Did my daughter baptism cake her birthday cake and every time on point. Flavor, texture, design. I'm a hard person to please but with her I could close my eyes and know my vision will come true. Thank you so much

Their "lobster tail" is just my best PMS cake Great crispy "shell" and a lot of cream inside. But unfortunately I wasn't that lucky with the rest of their pastry: it was not bad, but i wouldn't come back for it …

Very expensive, the prices are always changing and going up for some reason, maybe their too greedy? Not to clean, they have a very bad habit of touching money and then touching the food. Will definitely not go back.

Great slab pizza. I’ve been buying slab pizza at this bakery for a couple of years and I’m very happy. The bread is fluffy and the tomato nice and smooth.
