Went to cashier the other day and, not for the first time, they basically ignored me for the whole transaction while they chatted to their colleague over the headset. Nothing work related, just what they got up to last night and things like that, looking over my head the majority of the time to the back of the store where the other colleague was working. I would've appreciated if they had just taken a minute break from chatting to serve properly. It felt really uncomfortable. Poor customer service.

I use this sainsburys multiple times a week, the selection is pretty basic, but not the worst for a Local. My biggest fault is with the security guard who insists on following me around every time I'm in there. Today he tried to insinuate that I had stolen my shopping as I was packing it into my bag, receipt in my hand. The rest of the staff are fab, friendly and work hard.

This is my local branch. Everyone working there deserves a medal. They have been open during these last long weeks and are still so pleasant and helpful. They out themselves at risk all day every single day, staying open for long hours. The security guard endures people keep their distance and I feel safe inside the shop . Thank you to every single one of you.

Despite being pretty small - Sainsbury’s Local Bristol Hippodrome had a pretty good selection of all the gluten free long lifes basics a coeliac might want as well as lots of naturally gluten free ingredients.  They didn’t have much in the way of sandwiches or ready to eat food; but good for a few cupboard essentials. Full 3* lowdown at coeliacwellnes.com.

Brilliant local store , very handy as I live above the shop and you can always have a laugh with the staff the fruit is always lovely and fresh but I wish they would bring the fresh orange juicer back. Security guard can be a pain in the backside as he follows you round the shop even though am in there every day at least 2/3 times a day.

Located in the centre of Bristol, close to the harbourside and opposite the Hippodrome, this small local Sainsbury's has most everyday essentials. They have plenty of good quality fruit and veg, and general groceries as well as sandwiches and drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. It can get busy but is usually quiet in the mornings.

  • Dominic Bromley

Well stocked convenience store. Fresh produce is good and there is a wide range of it. Microwave meals are decent and has a wide range again. They could do with more crisps and more meat. Bakery section is good, the self service staff are efficient.

  • Andrew Jenkins

Convenient for city centre and local offices and businesses. Well stocked with usual items, nothing out of the ordinary, would need a bigger store. Plenty of self service tills. Queue at cash machine always busy, there's others nearby.

  • Tits McGee

usually fine but they decided to close early instead of staying open till midnight, i think the attitude of closing earlier instead of later is what will lose companies like Sainsbury's money in the future.

  • Andrei Apostol

Smallish Sainsbury’s with the usual selection. It can run out of stock during the evening. Also, the prices are quite high. Pro: they keep it open until midnight.

  • David Jenkins

Bristol's unique hip not rubbing off on this place. Urgently needing ice cream but could only find dingy unpriced ice cream section. 1/10 on Bristol hip scale.

No black beans or macaroni pasta >:(( left empty handed and empty emotionally both times :( Edited n gave 3 star as their pastry section was p neat

  • Katie Thayer

A good shop with a big range of products great to stop off before or after getting bus of for something to eat when in the area

  • Cas Acres

Very busy and with limited space for a range of goods they keep the prices high. Some good quick lunch and drink options.

  • Katie Dennis

I get he was doing his job but security guard accused me of stealing for some reason and it was pretty embarrassing..

  • Lewis Kane

I genuinely had the best shopping experience of my life here, I didn't even know that was something I could realise.

The new meal deal is rubbish. They removed the premium sandwiches. go down the street to Tesco.

Handy city centre location, ATM, basic selection of fresh and frozen food.

Would be better with staff with a few brain cells. Awful customer service.
