I've often visited this Sainsbury's if I'm over that part of town and I've never had a problem getting what I've needed, however this visit there where numerous items out of stock, especially in the chilled isles and fresh produce. Also in household goods. Also the store was not in good shape, shelves untidy and empty, weighing machines out of order and also 50% of the smartshop counters also out of order. I don't know if this is a one off (I hope so) and they are short staffed or something but, I ended up going to another store to finish my shop. Just thought I would let you know if you were thinking of doing a big shop and being disappointed as I was.

Would leave negative stars if I could. Worst supermarket I’ve ever experienced. Times are hard but every other supermarket is coping better than this one. Rotting onions and peppers with flies circling with no alternative options. Most fresh produce going off within 1-2 days. No reductions to account for close dates. When I get it home, some produce going off prematurely. I have concerned over how and where the food is being stored for these issues to occur. Staff all really friendly and hard working but clearly stressed. Definitely management issues.

We usually do our weekly shop here and it works well for us but lately as with many outlets there are often items unavailable and empty shelves. Occasionally visit the coffee shop but my last trip was not great. Only one member of staff who was serving the customers, heating food and making the drinks, not surprisingly there was a long queue. Having waited far too long I decided not to bother and went off to Costa nearby instead. Surely this is meant to be a fairly fast moving department and should be staffed accordingly. Buck up Sainsbury's!

I love Sainsburys, the products are fresh and stay fresh for the week, best vegetarian range across all the leading supermarkets. Clothing is fair price too. My only gripe - they advertise to get you to scan your items.... easy enough, but when they have to do a product check, they treat you like you are a criminal. More training required by the staff on the way they approach their loyal customers, especially after my encounter last Sunday thinking about trying ASDA as I was near on accused of theiving.

Usually this store is great but this morning when I went early the social distancing was non existent. I am in a relatively high risk group so try to go when I think it will be quiet. There was a store announcement while I was there to remind people about the 2m distance...BUT all the people who didn't seem to care were actually the staff!!! It was so worrying I had to run around and then leave. Please please remind your staff about social distancing as well as your customers!

Is my local Supermarket and is convenient some times, I do prefer to do my shopping in Asda or Tesco the are much more competitive in price. Today 19/3/20 wasn't much point in going there to get some stuff that I need and is only 10:45am wasn't much in the shop floor people going mad paying a lot of avery thing. No veg, bread, eggs and no toilet paper. Anyway take care and don't go out and if you do only for emergency. God Bless you all.

Went early in the morning,it was practically empty which was really nice, felt very safe with the current stage of the pandemic. We’ll stocked and always very good product choice, the members of staff we spoke to were very helpful and friendly. We are also regular users of the Chop Chop service which is excellent.Went today still great Visit today was great are server is a older lady and it's always are pleasure.Always good service.

Download the Sainsburys Smart Shop app to scan your shopping as you go round. You can pack it straight into your shopping bags and then just pay at the till at the end. Hardly ever a queue for the self service Smart Shop tills. And you get additional discounts on products you buy often. This store has a great variety and usually has the things I need but can’t get at Aldi. Big car park and a petrol station too.

Good selection of frozen and fresh foods. Stock all the big brands so plenty to choose from. Have a clothing and electrical goods. Not the cheapest store around but quality costs. Large car park with disabled parking on the left of the main doors. Sainsbury's garage on the right. Handy having an Argos on site, but best to order on line the day before as limited stock on hand. Friendly and helpful staff.

  • Jordan

Has pretty much everything you want and they've managed to keep most things in stock. Just a shame the staff don't seem to understand social distancing and love to have loud conversations about work politics at the front of the queue. I respect the work you guys are doing, but I don't really want to hear about what you guys think about your manager or other customers.

A bit shonky. The lighting's low wattage and it feels like it's about to close. Mostly full of Breville sandwich toasters that smell of old cheese, covered market clothes, and a range of creepy birthday cards that made me uncomfortable. I paid through the beak for a load of stuff i didn't need and came out feeling stretched. Still, it's better than Asda! Try it!

  • Bob Iles

The shelves were a bit empty today when we visited, many items not there at all. We only managed to do two thirds of our list. The store was clean as were the toilets. I was surprised at how many people were not wearing masks, including the staff, when we still need to look after one another. I wear mine to protect others as covid is still a big problem. Shame.

  • Dinka Trifonova

This is the most amazing shop that has become my favorite in Bristol! It has chicken milk in it! Everything for everyone and the best quality clothes! Sweets, pickles, soft drinks, nuts, fruits, many types of goods, for gifts there are also quality ones! I recommend it with both hands! …

  • Martha Rossington

Excellent customer service. I bought 8 large bunches of flowers on Thursday morning and was struggling to carry them to my car. Two staff members saw me struggling, found 2 boxes for my flowers and carried them to my car. I was very impressed with their desire to help me and with their care for customers. Keep up the good work!

  • John T

A pleasant supermarket, friendly staff, well stocked, not too busy even on a Saturday. Also no customers using it as a social club, standing around blocking aisles, as you get in some places. Reasonably good selection of goods and prices not bad, although not the cheapest obviously. Weakest in non-food items choices.

  • Bob Wells

Good supermarket with Argos on site; quite a good sized parking area & Petrol Station. Useful for yachties visiting Swansea Marina, however, powerboaters might struggle carrying shopping back to their boat. The Queen's Pub & Swansea Yacht Club is on the way back to your pontoon if you require sustinence.

  • briden whitbread

One of the bigger sainsbury's you can visit, it's unlikely they won't stock what youre lookibg for as far as general day to day shopping goes. Staff are helpful and went out of their way to help me find things when asked. Otherwise can be a little difficult to find specifics in such a big store

  • Paraskevi Nicolaou

Good choice of items including clothes and homeware. However, when we visited only self service check-outs were open and I always find these a trial, having to call a member of staff over constantly. I do find Sainsbury's more expensive for some items. The filling station is also a bonus.

  • Katie Waters

Only had some of what I wanted very limited bakery selection for the time of day I would have expected more. The custard doughnuts must have changed as they weren't very nice and ive enjoyed them in the past. Also had a disappointing range of birthday cards. Overall store felt clean.

  • Vexed Smurf

Staff are delightful, they take the time to get to know regulars/locals. Since store renovation we go there less .. my son has Autism and the something about it, be it lights or sound, it triggers a huge sensory overload. Delivery is a good send .. drivers are so polite!

  • Jose Miguel Gomez Rodriguez

Great location and availability of products. It's quite hard to find staff to help you though and the prices are sometimes quite high compared to other supermarkets nearby. I would still recommend it as there are things here you won't be able to find anywhere else.

  • Fezagatti

Shelves half empty, if you work and can only go for grocery shopping after 17:30, you might have to adapt the shopping list. Some veggies were unavailable and too many others on expiry date in about 1 day range (and why don't they reduce the price is the question)

  • Leandro Silvério

A very big Sainsbury, much bigger than the small stores nearby the gas stations. To any end, in here I was able to find the LIGHT Ginger Beer. It is very difficult to find this drink over Bristol, and it was available in here. Happy I've manage to grab it.

  • Eszter Simon

Best shop in Bristol! There is everything in one place, you don't have to go to another shop. It's really clean!!!, and the employees are so nice and helpful! Prices are good, and the fresh products quality is really good! TU and Habitat things are lovely.

  • Richard Wong

Went to the coffee shop for quick lunch. Prawn sandwich was nice. Sausage roll needed some red sauce. Bacon roll was lovely, the bread was great. Could have done with some garnish with the bacon roll and with the prawn sandwich. All good.

  • Rémi Romac

Great overall supermarket experience. They have a coffee shop for hot food and An Argos. Super nice staff and wide range of items. Generally expensive it's not unusual to get out with a weekly shopping of £60 (for two people). Nice staff

  • J LAU

Easy to parking.Yummy and delicious dessert. Friendly and helpful staff's. Plus the convenience Argos is there! The Only thing that put me off, is the ladies toilet. Unpleasant Sometimes! A empty bottle of something! For me! Personally I

  • Simon Gore

Being a benefits dependant cheap living tight budget blokey - this IS NOT my shop. But it is less stuffy or pretentious than M&S. Middle to higher prices does give you better to good quality products. Sainsbury is a proof of that though

  • Hunter Wilde

Left feeling humiliated and upset earlier today after two staff members, a woman with brown hair aged 50-60 working on self checkout and another blonde woman of similar age who seemed to be her supervisor, accused me of stealing when I

  • Alice Gray

Staff aren't actually all that nice, some are quite snappy and grumpy. The managers especially are very rude, they also disregarded an employees disability when they were struggling to work. The store itself as a customer, sometimes

  • Lauren Pritchard

A large Sainsbury's store, seemed well laid out. Staff were really helpful and friendly. They had 2 collection points for South and East Bristol Foodbank there too, which was great to see they support the local foodbanks!

  • Liz

It was very quiet when I attended, staff was pleasant and there was a wide selection on food on offer, bit of a disappointment that the toilet roll isle had been ran sacked, shame people cant just take what they need.

  • Ian Shepherd

Wandered around while I was waiting for my car to be MOT'd. A really nice, spacious store with lots of very interesting and reasonably priced items. Made a list of a few things to pick up when my car is ready. …

  • Wayne McQuaig

No atmosphere now most of the counters are closed and the cafe is closed. The temporary measures to screen these areas off add to the poor atmosphere. Would expect more from an expensive supermarket

  • Gemma

Large store with plenty of choice. There is large section of clothing and homeware. They have lots of deli and bakery counters with plenty of yummy things to buy. They will sell you a hot pizza,

  • B Barnett

Minimal fresh bakery products available after midday. Empty shelves, low quality fresh produce. Like soviet Russia minus the tanks. Putin would love it! 1 star for the useful Argos branch.

  • darren gast

Poor availability promotion ends and floor stacks are unappealing and scruffy.staff everywhere with cages and stock blocking aisles. Nothing inspiring not a pleasant shopping trip at all.

  • James Truslove

This shopping experience is always a great place to top up your shop. Extravagant but worth the therapy. If you are a proper foodie then get your bag and ping your food without the que.

  • Tia Durlston-Powell

Closed due to flooding but no notice on their website, fb page or Google map. Walked there for nothing. Wanted to do a TU return, their petrol station couldn’t. Had to walk elsewhere.

  • Oleg MrFavo

Rating based completely on mobile network coverage. I mean, there is no coverage at all. Regarding the shop could be 4 stars. Update: It looks like it is a bit better with coverage.

  • Ben Grace

Great parking with ample room in bins to decant car litter build up. Would've given 5 stars but walk to toilet was marred by slippery floors. All in all, good place for a quick stop

  • Ryan Morris

The hot counter is getting a bit sparse and stingy with the whole chickens looking more like quail these days and the cost has gone up. As that's what I go in for......3 stars max.

  • Patrick A Sims

Have only used it recently and it seems to be ok.Decent range of goods but too many empty gaps on shelves something that needs fixing if they want to grow their sales.

  • Ruth McMeekin

Good, authentic food, friendly, helpful service and reasonably priced. A great vegetarian find in Greenwich. Cash seems to be preferred though, so be prepared.

  • Rado Peterko

A very clean wholesaler, it can be seen that the manager takes his job conscientiously, and as a benefit the Argos connection, which has never disappointed me

  • jamesbtmtrains

It's not a bad store. Has no cafe now. Too many self scan tills not working. Staff more interested in being on their phones instead of helping customers.

  • Alan Martin

Very good local shop for all your shopping also got Argos in there very good bakery nice fresh meat lovely place to go recommend it to anybody

  • Paul Snow (ShortNicholasNomenclature)

Good big Sainsbury's with lots of parking. Popped in when I was passing as the petrol was a good price. It was 4p per litre less than Bath.

  • Fiona Crabtree

This used to be a good supermarket, but staff are so uninterested now, and it looks a bit tired. Every time I shop here I wish I hadn't.

  • Graham D

No signs above the aisles telling you where things are! A shell of its former self. Much like Bristol it is deteriorating, a shame.

  • Ross Fraser

A large Sainsbury with all you would expect. However seems to be a shortage of staff, have to hunt around when you have a query.

  • Great Brest

Huge lines before closing, but employees still urge everyone to join the lines and then are rude when asked for assistance.

  • charlie williams

Just a standard Sainsbury's. Only used it because we broke down in the car park. Has decent selection of goods.

  • Caroline Templer

Good supermarket, Argos also in store. Helpful staff when needed. They now have more self use scanners.

  • dave fey

It's one of the biggest Sainsbury's you can get everything in there you want …

  • Fiona Andrews

Great supermarket. Great own brand products. Very convenient for our local supermarket.

  • rosalyn stute

Only popped in to Argos so can't really say anything about the Sainsbury side of things

  • Angela Britton

None of the flowers were priced up nor in very good condition, which was a shame.
