Nobody likes moving . It’s a stressful and exhausting experience , or at least it always has been in the past .I was tired of having movers show up late , damaging and losing items or being overcharged 3 times my original quote because they claimed the meagre contents of a studio apt weighed as much as those in a three bedroom house . I had no choice but to pay it if I wanted my property and released . I was not going to risk this happening again so I decided to rent a truck and have two friends help me . As my moving day was getting closer I had not succeeded in finding atruck or 2 friends that could help me . My mother could see how stressed I was and insisted I hire professionals but it was one of the busiest days of the year and I couldn’t find anyone that was available at short notice. I was about to have a full blown meltdown because everything was going wrong . Then someone recommended Riff Moving and Storage . I was immediately put at ease when the owner told me he would have a truck and 2 men available at the designated time . They showed up on time and were fastidious when wrapping items to prevent damage . It was the easiest move I have ever made and they went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied. I have used RIF moving for my small business moves, and for heavy equipment pickup for over a year now, often into a tricky upstairs unit. Four or five moves now! These movers have been consistently reliable, professional, friendly, and affordable. Here are a couple anecdotes to highlight just how much I appreciate them: 1. During one move, I had made the mistake of purchasing a large refrigeration unit that couldn’t fit up the stairwell to my upstairs unit. I pressed for them to please try their best, as it was so close! Their manager visited on site and worked with me as I came to grips with the fact that this equipment simply wasn’t going to make it in. For our next move, remembering this event, they offered a steep discount. 2. When moving to a larger facility recently, their were setbacks in our prep for the move, and RIF accommodated multiple changes to my itinerary. This was easy, and I was reassured that they were more than happy to accommodate my delays. RIF moving has been so consistently excellent, I find it hard to imagine using anyone else for my future small business or residential moves. RIF Moving, you have my loyalty.

The whole debacle was a joke. They didn't know how to load the truck properly. They sat around talking or playing on their phone constantly. When I called to try to speak to someone in charge I was yelled at by the owner. 5 minutes later, he called me back to yell some more. This was a medium-sized in-town move of a 2-bedroom place. I provided the details on how many stairs and the number of items and the owner screamed that I misled them. I didn't. Everything was described accurately. During the unload we discovered that a mirror had been broken. Days later we discovered that the hydraulics on an office chair no longer worked. They were so slow that I was outpacing them and hauling things because I was embarrassed for them. And these were young guys, it's not like they were broken down old men. Just lazy. One of the swampers also yelled at my partner when she asked if they could stop sitting around all the time. The whole thing was laughable and nobody should use this company. It cost more than expected for a subpar service and you should go with anyone else.

Great service! I needed someone to help me move since I was in a MVA over a year ago and I was limited on how much I could carry. I contacted RIF Moving Company and they gave me a reasonable price. It was pouring during my moving day and I was thinking how they were going to keep my furniture from getting soaked. I was amazed how careful they were with my items: covering my mattress with plastic, using moving blankets/pads to protect my TV and dresser. They disassembled my standing mirror and gently placed it in a blanket. When we arrived to my new place, they set up my entire furniture for me even reassembled my standing mirror and put the boxes where I needed it. They were quick and efficient. They were super friendly too. I am impressed by their impeccable service and if I ever have to move again, I am going to use this company again. They made my moving day easy and stress free. :)

From the initial online estimate to the day of move all went smoothly as planned. Their message function via mobile phone was the best tool for communicating. Links to quotes, requests answered, and notifications of when crew and truck would arrive were all via text messages. You could reach the owner, Magdi, with the txt msg at any time and he would respond. Didnt have to email or phone . The crew of Amin, Oscar and Ilan worked hard and efficiently. Our instructions were followed and executed without question or hesitation. I had sought quotes from other highly rated moving companies that funnelled calls to a call centre of sales agents. No thanks. I wanted to deal directly with an owner. And that's what RIFF Moving provided from the get go. I will use them for my next move. No question. ps their hourly rate was cheaper than the other highly rated company that I also contacted.

We moved yesterday and used Rif for the first time. They were excellent and I would without a doubt use them again. We had a lot of stuff and a lot of furniture, workout equipment that needed to be disassembled in order to be moved. They worked so hard. They also took really good care of our furniture by wrapping everything and were very cautious when moving up and down the stairs as to not damage the walls. There was a team of 5 guys and they just worked straight for 14.5 hours. Anytime we asked them a question about where something might be they always knew the answer. They always responded so pleasant and professional. I never felt as though I was bothering them or that they were frustrated. Even with a long day they were a pleasure to work with. The quote they provided was also very accurate it was only off by one hour. If/when we move again, I will absolutely be using Rif.

Slow, overpriced and terrible customer service. Whatever you get estimated, add 50%. The movers were slow and unskilled. There was lots of standing around. Even my building manager commented that they were slow. When I complained, I was argued against at every point. The truly don’t understand the notion of “the customer is always right.” They also damaged my furniture and said that they are “willing to pay $5 per pound.” When I sent them the weight, the fine details came into play and they only paid $0.60/pound… They did pay that however it was a fraction of what I was expecting per their email. Be careful when you sign for the move at the end! I would strongly not recommend them. If they respond saying they do not have my record in their database (like they did in other poor reviews), I can prove everything I’ve written with emails.

I had researched 20+ moving companies to help with my move from Vancouver to Calgary. RIF Moving’s quote process was smooth, accurate, and they were super responsive, which is why I first decided to go with them. When Diego, Luca, and William arrived to haul our things into the truck, they were so careful with all our items and made sure everything was covered & sealed nicely. They were handling our things like they were their own. That gave me reassurance that I made the right choice to go with RIF. I also had a lot of big and fragile items (including an upright piano) that I was anxious about getting damaged, but they all made it safely to Calgary. The unloading process was just as smooth—zero complaints! I can’t recommend them enough. RIF Moving will always be my top choice and recommendation to friends going forward!

I arranged my law firm office move with Riff. Hands down the best moving experience I've ever had. The website quote process is super easy, the company is responsive via text and email. We had a lot of sensitive files and computer equipment to move, and needed it done outside of business hours. Riff showed up early (when most companies are late), the hourly rates were fair and clear, and the movers just got the job done. Plastic moving boxes were dropped off a couple days before and it made packing a breeze. They packed /wrapped what needed it and everything arrived dry, safe, and in tact. On moving day we added a small side mission to pick up some furniture from my apartment, it was done at the same hourly rate, no complaints or up charges. I will be recommending Riff to all my friends and colleagues

This is an overdue review as I only ever use Rif Moving. They are punctual, trustworthy, efficient, pleasant and by far the best priced moving company in the lower mainland. 6 month ago I moved and because of my work schedule I did not need to be at either location. I left keys handy for them and they did the rest. It was a relief as we know how hectic moving can be with a busy schedule. Today I moved a gain and had two amazing guys move my suite in record time as far as am concerned ( I know a bit about moving myself) . Rif's Moving Company was outstanding. I cannot recommend them enough. They arrived early (amazing!!), complete with all their supplies and worked the entire time. The team was professional, pleasant, kind and incredibly diligent. They made sure to ask questions and that everything went according to plan. They came to the house very early, got to work, re-wrapped all the furniture, fixtures, appliances and everything else to ensure they don’t scratch and/or break along the way. They moved all our belongings including the car from Vancouver to Calgary without any incident. Nothing got missing or damaged. I called them last minute for a client of mine and my were so glad I called. They had a cancellation , so they were able to squeeze my cienf in with only 2 days notice. She had a great experience, she was so happy and great full thwy were able to help her. Personally, I've used other companies in the passed and always had something go wrong, chipped table, broken lamp, or the worse was a company that showed up 3 hours late. These guys showed up on time and they completed the move with no damage and even helped set up her bed and some of the heavier stuff that she wouldn't have been able to do on her own. Coordinating my move from Burnaby to Alberta with Rif was very smooth. They had an inventory I had to fill out and based on that they give you a price. We discussed our options to fit our budget and schedule and at the end everything worked out perfectly. Diego was very responsive and his crew were early in picking up and delivering our boxes. Just make sure to ask a lot of questions so you won’t have any surprises! My price was set to the number of boxes We agreed upon and no extra charges since I maintained that number during pick up. Very nice people and followed instructions carefully. I recommend booking your move with RIF!

Our realtor had recommended Rif Moving and we were very satisfied with the service we had! We were moving quite a far distance from Vancouver and the quote we received from Rif Moving was affordable compared to other moving companies. They were very accommodating of our moving schedule which included holding items over the course of a few days. They were polite and responsive to all questions and emails. The day of the move and the day of the delivery they called for any updates they had and did a great job of moving our items. None of our items were damaged and we had great experience! Would recommend Rif Moving to anyone!

MOVING SUCKS , but not if you use RIF . I can’t express strongly enough what an amazing experience I had with Rif. They took all the stress of the move of my plate . I offered them coffee and snacks and they declined and told me they are there to work. All my items were handled with the upmost care. I was incredibly impressed with Lorenco and Emerson , those young men worked so hard and went over and above my expectations . Oscar, Amine and Sebastian were a fantastic team of movers! (definitely recommend having 3 guys). They operate with such care/attention to ensure nothing is damaged and no wall gets scratched. They did an absolutely flawless job moving all of our stuff from an apartment to a townhouse, up two flights of stairs with no damage to anything. I have tried multiple movers in the past and these guys provide a service that surpasses all. They even went out of their way to lift a very large painting up over the balcony! One of the smoothest moving experience I've ever had. The quote and the final invoice as almost the same. The price difference was due to the mattress cover, which I had forgotten to consider. They were considerate enough to notice and suggested it. There was no upselling, the team members were very attentive to my belongings and everything was done in a timely manner. The entire moving experience was made very enjoyable. The place where I was moving to had multiple other tenants using them also! Use RIF Moving on your next move and you won't regret it!

We are really happy with the quality of service from Riff. The crew arrived early and brought all the wrapping/supplies/tools needed to disassemble and protect our furniture in the move. They were efficient but also took care to ensure that nothing was damaged. First, I had to reschedule my move multiple times and the owner accommodated this and even offered to help coordinate with strata. Second, they arrived right on time and within minutes were taking stuff out. What took another company with 3 movers 5 hours took them like 2 to 3. They wrapped everything that needed blankets or wrapping, did not damage anything moving in or out, and even finished earlier than expected. TDLR I've used other moving companies before and this was way better. 100% recommend them.

I found this company walking my dog as they were moving another house in the area I decided to give them a go. There service and response reply was so fast anything I needed or changed cause I did not need in the end they accomidated. They showed up on time and finished almost exact of there estimated time line. Three young men very professional and polite. They also have a room by room inventory that makes your move and packing less stressful. I highly recommend this company Thank you for your hard work

They were slow and incompetent. The team took turns loading the truck and clearly didn't know what they were doing. When I called to speak to a supervisor I was yelled at by the owner. He hung up on me and then called back a few minutes later to yell more. It was unbelievable. They broke a couple things, offered a tiny discount, and took way longer than expected. Go with any other company because you'll be overcharged for poor service, and then treated poorly whether you mention it or not.

Just finished a move with Riff moving, I had the pleasure of having Pedro and Gabriel help move all my belongings. They were on time, professional, very polite! They were super careful with all of my belongings. The only down fall was we found a bees nest outside my front door and poor Pedro got stung twice, but he didn't stop working! Would highly recommend this company, I will be telling all my friends and co workers and will defiantly use Riff moving in the future!

We have used Riff moving 4 times now and they have always been professional. Our latest move involved several date and time changes (which Magdi handled much calmer than we did), ferry crossings, disassembling & assembling furniture, storage between dates, and most impressively: lifting a piano through an apartment window via crane. I cannot believe how this company is still in business. They did not show up for my move. I was sitting out on the street waiting for the truck showed up and it never did. Thank goodness I managed to find another moving company. After this mess of a situation the company has refused to give me my deposit back. Please do not go with this company, when there are so many other great ones out there.

Used Riff for a construction delivery job..... Who are these guys When did moving companies become so organized?!!! The updates, the constant communication. They even cleaned up....This was hands down the smoothest out of City construction delivery I've ever had. You guys rock. No wonder you have such high ratings!

Worse moving service, untrained crew , very slow , the move went over by 4 hours , and we were billed extra hours without any apology or discount. I would not recommend them at all. (We were working along side the crew to finish the job) . They don’t cover damages fairly, read the contact fine prints .
