If anyone decides to work there, Dont. I was working there as a cleaner and couldn’t take the disrespect anymore. I was being told i was too slow, Despite me having a disability and other issues that kept me from going as fast. I was part time too so i was only there for about 4-5 hours so time flies when you’re busy cleaning. I also didnt mind doing the work, Despite being told something i still did it and tried to be fast, It got to a point where i had to rush and not do my job properly. And again it still wasn’t enough. So at that point i was just being singled out. Not only that but there were others there too that could’ve at least helped me out with some of the cleaning, Front desk or not the job description for both the custodian and member services says they clean the same stuff as the custodians. I’d look at the front desk sometimes only to see them standing there or talking amongst themselves, Laughing and having a good time all while im there pushing myself and stressing out about being told something again, At one point i was expected to deep clean 2-3 rows of machines, then vacuum and mop afterwards. All in the span of an hour and a half My own manager couldn’t even handle cleaning half a freezer out or a couple Treadmills. If i had the help then yeah maybe it would’ve been done that quickly. But by myself? That’s impossible even if i rush the work. You also cant expect a gym to be that clean unless you have everyone cleaning.. Id have members hop onto a machine i just cleaned and then not wipe it down properly afterwards too, The whole thing was a mess. From the day i started, Up until i left. I wasn’t trained properly, Pretty much singled out and not appreciated. Management needs to be trained properly. So does upper management

I use to really enjoy working out here! Never had a problem all of the years I’ve been a PF client (in several different states). However, the new GM Johnny is real piece of work. He comes off very entitled. I witnessed him act prejudicially towards a young Black client who was being harassed by an older white male. As a white woman, I wanted to step and defend her. I thought management should have handled the situation way better. Considering, the man launched her backpack across the gym and lunged at her with gym equipment. I was later told she was removed from the gym because she was using three different pieces of equipment. I then noticed the man who harassed her for using 3 pieces of equipment…proceed to do the same thing. Johnny still berating the young lady…failed to address the man for how he treated her. It really broke my heart to see one young lady be approached by 4 men Anyway, I will never come back here. Hope that young lady is ok. Wish I would have stuck up for her. Johnny should be seriously reprimanded for his behavior that day.I have been hesitant to say anything but I still think about the fact I didn’t defend her. Every time I saw Johnny thereafter he has not greeted me but will greet those around me.

Editing to clarify this is for the Dallas location off Columbia. People need to know how this location is treating customers during the pandemic. I've tried to cancel my membership for 3 months now and have called multiple times and emailed over the past months. I have left my contact information with them so many times and yet nothing. Today, after months of trying to speak to a manager, I finally explain the situation and there is no apology. No sincerity regarding the situation or that I'm being charged when I'm not using the gym and I'm trying to actively cancel. I'm told that I have to come in or send a letter in the mail and I would receive a call to confirm. I tried to explain that the whole point of canceling the membership.. was to not go to the gym during a global pandemic when cases are rising? How will I know they will call me to confirm my cancellation if I've tried to get them to correspond with me for months? Frustrated is an understatement at this point. To top it off, after explaining my concerns with a mature tone, the manager hung up on me. Please do not give this franchise location your money. Especially in these times. They do not care about you.

I was going to switch from 24 hour Fitness but was told I had to open up a whole new checking account because “their system” didn’t like the account that I already had. I really wanted to join because other than that issue, it seemed more convenient for several reasons. So I opened a new checking account with the same bank on my phone app, and when I went back to the front desk to tell them, I was told I would have to wait until the new card came in the mail. I said “wow, that’s super inconvenient” and they just stared at me. So I went to 24 Hour Fitness (where they have no problem automatically deducting payments from the bank account I already have) and hopped on the treadmill to work out my frustration. The location is not as convenient, but the customer service I’ve received there over the past 2 and a half years is remarkably better. I still really want to switch because I like the location, equipment, price, and hours, but I don’t want to have another frustrating experience like that. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do yet. I guess I’ll wait until my card comes in the mail and make a decision at that time.

Too few machines and an extraordinarily poor distribution of machines. There are over a hundred cardio machines. There are exactly zero traditional bench or squat racks. They only have the “smith” machines (on a designed track). There are four of these. Since June (two months), they have only had three that work. At times during the past two months, they have only had two. According to an employee today, they also have no policy to limit how long any individual person may use a machine. Of course, these machines are almost always in use, whether you attend in the morning, afternoon, or evening. Perhaps you may have luck if you go after midnight—I wouldn’t know. Other Planet Fitness locations are not much better. Take your business elsewhere.

The gym is what you expect from planet fitness. The reason for the rating is their cancellation policy which no one told me. I signed up for an all club pass because I used it when I was traveling regularly. I tried to cancel online with no option. So I called to cancel and they told me I had to come in which already is shady. Then when I went out of my way to go into one of their locations to cancel they told me it was her wrong location and I had to go back to the original location to cancel which is not near where I live now. My only remaining option is to send a cancellation letter by certified mail. Unreal the lengths they’ll go to in order to milk you for extra months. Terrible customer service.

I had incident where I had my car broken into and they didn't not care. They didn't even bother have a police patrol the area after that incident. So i started to park in front building since there a lack of cameras in the parking lot, and almost all the spot are take by the employees I decided to park in handicap and they wanted report my car after I been parking there for the past 2 weeks . now all of suddenly it's a issue. It's very unprofessional that they couldn't tell me as soon as I walked in the gym not to park there. Even when a cop has been patrolling the area where I had parked in handicap and he didn't do anything about the issue . Thank but I’ll take my service’s elsewhere .

For $25/mo I like using their 30 min weightlifting circuit and 'spa' area at least once a week. Spa area has hydromassage bed, really strong massage chairs like you'd find in the mall, tanning machines and some tanning-like machines that shine bright non-infrared(?) light and vibrate(?) while air blows on you and loud music that sounds like it's off Pure Moods or something plays Sometimes it's hard to wanna get to the gym but the spa gets me in there lol My Amazon job makes me sore 24/7 so hydromassage really brightens up my week Great staff, none of the gym goers look or talk to each other so you can just go in and get your workout done without feeling judged, A++++

There’s pretty much always a staff member cleaning, and they have many cleaning stations in convenient places that are regularly restocked. A problem with other gyms nearby is that the cleaning stations are too few in numbers and far from machines so it’s more time out of a work out to clean, but not here. In addition mostly everyone respects the mask rule. I would say it is for those just looking to get fit but not for bodybuilders because they don’t have squat racks or other heavy lifting areas/machines. Staff is not rude which is different than other gyms around, and overall you get what you pay for and a little more (in terms of quality).

The staff is pretty good and I converse with a handful of them on a regular basis. Equipment is new and clean and it typically isn't very busy when I go (early morning). My only complaint is the facilities; particularly the Men's restroom. It is not the cleanest, especially if you'd like to take a shower. I did post an earlier review concerning a little bit of a homeless problem (where homeless individuals were sleeping or residing in the restroom). Over the past few months I have not come across this. Just thought I would update my review to say that this no longer seems to be an issue. And with that, I've updated the stars!

They have been stealing my money for months and even though I go in to cancel my membership multiple times they continue to charge me and tell me that they have no record of my cancellation. This place is owned by rats and run by literal children. I call them to try and fix this and teenagers answer the phone not knowing what they're supposed to do other than tell me they don't know how to help me with an attitude. Currently waiting to report them for fraud on the most recent charge AFTER PUTTING A STOP PAYMENT for $150+ . This place is terrible and besides this, the gym is tiny and gimmicky. Don't go here.

Most people in this Planet Fitness are not wearing their masks which are required by state law for the clubs to enforce. I asked an employee to go around and ask them to wear their masks and they never went around. I went back to the desk and complained and a very nice employee went around. After she went around most of the people took their masks off again and no employees ever went around again. I don’t feel safe at this Planet Fitness. I usually lift at the PF in Grand Prairie and they are terrific about walking around and reminding people to wear their masks properly.

The best. Very clean, friendly and welcoming staff. I have been here about a month and I am so motivated. They sure are right about no judgements zone. Plus such an affordable price point which includes the hydro and classes. I love the training sessions too, small classes and kim takes a personal interest in your fitness goals and journey. I have had memberships at other gyms before - Y, LA fitness, etc. None are as nice or welcoming as planet fitness staff. Keep up the great work and atmosphere, your clients sure appreciate it.

Great spot to get in a workout. If u a real, dedicated lifter this ain't the place for u. Very limited free weights. Alot of cardio equipment and machines. They have some circuit area. If ur new to working out or just want to burn some calories and get a good pump u can do it here. Very relaxed environment. Changing area and showers are clean and large. Never feels packed and I've never had to wait to use any equipment. Staff is friendly although I wouldn't ask them for any lifting or exercise tips. But it's good for what it is.

Usually I love this location. Today I wasn’t allowed to check in and tan because I wasn’t at my home location. I was here two days ago tanning and had no problems. What is the point of a black card membership if I am just turned away and told to go to my home location. I live exactly in between two locations and frequent both. Not sure how it’s a problem today but hasn’t been a problem for months. Guess I’ll take a break from this location until they get it together. Very disappointing.

No idea why this gym insists on keeping it below zero . I understand the whole cooling down thing while exercising and it being 100+ outiswd( it’s TX I get it) but it’s freezing to the point of either wearing a sweater or just leaving in general. ALSO , FIX THE DANM WATER FOUNTAIN. WATER COMES OUT HOT. And I know this is done on purpose so we have to buy the overpriced water they sell. Worst PF I’ve been too . Been member since 08 and this is by far the worst one I’ve been to

Most of the staffs are great, but the "manager" is a total DISASTER. I was told I still had a month of membership left(which I have written proof of). But then the manager guy said I could not access the gym and the paperworks are just wrong. What's the point of sending an official document if you are just gonna say thats wrong? No explanation, no apologies, no nothing he just said no. All of my great exprience with PF was destroyed by the manager at this branch

George at the front desk needs to work on how he communicates with guests. I lost my card with the barcode on it, and before I could even ask him my question he cut me off and told me to download the app. I was trying to explain to him that I was an existing member, and after not being able to find what I was looking for through the app, he asked for my phone number, as I had suggested earlier. It felt like he was just trying to shoo me away instead of help.

My problem has been solved. A friend at work helped me out. What she helped me with someone at the club could have done the same thing. I have signed up and will start working out. I'm a people person and I have taught workout classes. I was just expecting someone to actually be "helpful". Anyway thank you for responding back I appreciate that. I actually had my routing number with me when I came in, but was not met with a helpful attitude, so I left.

This place was clean and quiet. When we went the unused equipment was being cleaned and sanitized which was nice to see. Everyone for the most part was just doing them and minding their business which I love in a gym, nothing is more annoying than working out in a gym where everyone is just staring at each other. They have all kinds of perks for black card members including bring a guest, tanning, body sculpting and massage chairs! Highly recommended!

This place is really nice and clean, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the machines are well maintained and it is large and open. It's probably my favorite gym around. Plenty of free, accessible parking, they offer tanning and message chairs for a higher paid membership, and they have all kinds of equipment. Also, it is a very convenient place, easy to drive to, and not a super busy area. Also has a family dollar next door for convenience.

I don’t expect a lot but I do expect clean. Reading the reviews I thought it would be. The locker room was but the main floor; It wasn’t. Weights weren’t racked at all. You’d have one 20#, one 30# and the other was MIA. Used towels were in the floor. I’m not from this area so it’s not a huge deal to me but I do expect a little more for the people that do have to come here on the daily. Receptionist was nice. But you guys Can definitely do better.

asked for a day pass then paid 20 dollars then asked how to recheck in later that day with it and was told it was only good for that time and was not a day pass after i spent 20dollars just to use their bathroom once real quick wanting to come back after lunch since i'm traveling and didn't have my bank info to set up a membership again with me i've been doing day passes at pf across the states this is the first to do that to me. not happy.

I really enjoy going to this location. The manager, Brain has always been helpful and an all around nice guy to talk to, as well as the rest of the staff. They keep the machines clean and its never too crazy. The people visiting the gym are there for one reason, to workout. No one is eyeing each other or sizing up. Im usually able to get in and out while following my routines woth no problems due to the amount of machines/free weights.

At this gym, they do not have half of the amenities that other planet fitness facilities have I was very disappointed. They had no lockers without having to bring your own lock and did not have anything really at all. It was dirty and any chips, but in general planet fitness is great and most of their facilities, but not the one in Columbia.

Very clean gym, not even super packed around 7 on weekdays. Never seen a machine out of order, always see the patrons cleaning their machines when their done and staff constantly going around wiping things down. Good music too Con, there's no benches with the 45 lb bars BUT there are heavy free weights and benches.

I tried to cancel my membership. I set it up in a different state last year. I came in two days ago. They said they would transfer it to this location. I came in today around 630 p.m., and the guy at the counter told me to Google it. Yall should be able to transfer my membership. Seriously?

Absolutely love this new location close to my job and school. More selections of equipment to choose from to excerise. A no judgement zone is amazing because no matter your size you are treated equal and the staff is there to help. They are open 24 hours and the building is always clean

Pros: Clean, modern facility. Lots of space for workouts Con is that If you sign up with the black card membership, the gym you signed up in is your “home gym” so you can only go 10X a month to other gyms. Also, you have to cancel in person, or write a letter, to your home gym!

I have been to many PF locations in Texas, Colorado, Washington, & Oklahoma. Whoever is running this set of locations are terrible. Showers are cold, not clean, wifi doesn't work, massage chair is broken, and when you mention to staff about issues, they just dump excuses.

Small floor plan, but good equipment. I could have done without the male relationship support group going on in the restroom involving the restroom attendant (was there before and after my workout). Showers are suspect at best and no hand soap. Best not to supper there.

So I stopped in here while on the Drake tour 2023. This place was clean,not busy, good equipment, professional staff,courtesy and professional, locker room was clean,and hot water was awesome. I definitely recommend this gym if your traveling through. DRAKE 2023 TOUR

The machines they have are a lot lighter than the labeled weight and don’t go very high compared to other locations. I didn’t feel like I worked out very thoroughly and even my Apple Watch recorded about half the usual calories that I do typically during a work out.

Though the location may not be perfect, the new facility is excellent. Presently, they have great grand opening specials for new members. Lots of brand new equipment and spacious locker rooms. Much of the staff is still learning the details of the Gym's operations.

I've been using this PF for months and the fact is, people clean machines after each use and there is hand sanitizer everywhere. I've never had Covid and I workout here 7 days a week. These petite are overreacting about masks. No place I've been is this clean.

Love this place, everyone is so nice and welcoming. Place is always clean. And they have so many machines. No waiting needed. I live in Royse City and work out here before and after work. Much nicer than the other PF near me. So glad I chose this location.

A couple years ago I saw a gentleman lighting up a spoon of heroin close to midnight on a Friday night. I informed the staff of the matter and he was promptly escorted out the facility. Great service, clean equipment, and affordable pricing.

Worse PF by far. All the equipment is outdated. Never any cold water to drink . Never any hot water to bathe . Not to mention the temp here is well below the 68 degrees recommend for any fitness facility. Rather drive the extra 10min to LA

This location stinks, literally. The ladies at the front desk dont smile. You have to bring your own lock for the lockers. There's another location on skillman where you'd just enter a code for the lockers and it doesnt stink over there.

The water massage chair is my motivation to get up and exercise every other day.. They have clean stations with paper towels and sanitizer to wipe down machine. Plus they're still practicing social distancing on the machines

I got locker broken into a homeless person broke the lock they let random people in the Lockers and the trash of a human stole my car. They should warn people about homeless people breaking into lockers.

Clean gym, courteous and friendly staff. Gym is large and spacious. Not crowded when I went in the morning. Respectful gym crowd. Parking spaces directly in front of the gym is tight with huge potholes.

It's OK. I wish they had more free weights and weight machines. Lots and lots of cardio machines but I have never seen more then like 10-20% used. But for $10 month, more than worth any inconvenience.

It's a very nice place. The best of the four planet fitness I have visited in Dallas. Nice and newer machines than the others. The neighborhood is not great, but the gym is awesome.

If you are looking for free weights this probably isn't the place for you, but if you want machine weights or especially cardio machines then this is definitely the place for you.

Gym is clean however RUDE STAFF! These guys really think they can boss you around during the sign up. Every employee needs to be removed, this is coming from a personal trainer.
