Checking in was crammed into a little room, no concern for the dogs well being with staff passing back and forth almost anoyed at the two dogs I was bringing in that were perfectly quiet and sat down. The groomers were rough and lacked patience to deal with a 3 month old puppy. They left my older dog looking at the puppy through a door, leaving both dogs extremely anxious and nervous. I witnessed one of the groomers handle MY 3 months old PUPPY on the drying table like she was a piece of trash, oulling the slip lead way too hard to the point she was coughing, eyes wide open and trying to escape, pushing her around forcing her when she was clearly unconfortable to the point she fell off the table, and the groomer pulled her back up from her front paws!!!! The other groomer in the room noticed this told her i WAS LOOKING AT HER!!! and suddenly she was all caring and calm!! this misstreatment was unacceptable! I happened to witness this part so i cant even imagine what they did in the washing station which is away from the public! I ended up pulling both dogs out without drying their coat nor any of the treatments included in the price. I will never go back to that place. The poor puppy was shaking for 1h after that and it was not cause it was cold outside in the midle of august!! PETCO do better, get better people and train them better, this was not ok.

This Petco might be good for other things, but the conditions their birds are kept in are nightmarish. The parakeets do not have adequate perches of different sizes, any chewing toys, and they are fed on a cheap, unhealthy all-seed diet. I also watched as a woman pried open one of the plexiglass doors and let a budgie escape. As for the parrots, well, have a look at the photo — a tiny enclosure with no opportunity to climb, chew, fly or have social interaction. Same unhealthy seed diet, water bowls full of droppings. Their heads were full of painful pin feathers because they had no bird or human companion to groom them. Imagine sitting on the same perch in a glass box all day with nothing to do, for weeks and months on end. This is absolute torture for such a smart, social animal.

My partner and I had an amazing experience, with the animal manager of this location! She was friendly, energetic and had a genuinely warm and caring attitude. The store was clean, neat and everything was in its place. We found exactly what we needed(and things we didn't really need, to my partner's dismay ), for the cockatiel we bought, from a breeder. We had bought TWO parakeets from this business, not even a couple of months ago and we couldn't be happier with our pets, or the store and its crew. I highly recommend this store and its crew, for a very caring and unique experience. Unlike most places, it's more than just about money. It's the welfare and quality of the pets they sell, and the professionalism of this business, that really stands out.

I didn't even know that this store existed until I looked it up. I had been traveling from Columbia Heights all the way to Virginia for my dog food. Today I came here to pick-up the Hills Science Diet for healthy mobility for my beat friend Archi! While I was roaming the aisles I also got him a peanut butter filled chew bone, as well as, a pack of beef tendon sticks. He absolutely loves those. I could have kept on shopping here because this store has a myriad of things you can buy for your pet. It was great finding this store here today!

This is such a great store. My pets absolutely love visiting this place, very unlike their vet visit. While I go around the neighborhood my pets get a royal treatment here. The manager was very friendly and approachable. I have situations where I liked the store and the manager but my pet does not. But here there is some kind of mutual attraction. The place also smells quite nice, almost like it is well maintained.

It’s always hard to find an employee to speak to here, but when you do they are well informed on pet care for many different animals, and are willing to spend a lot of time assisting with any questions you have. The people who work at this location seem to genuinely care about animals generally and your pets. Store itself is often a bit disorganized, but decently clean and well lit.

Good customer service. Lots of pet supplies, good selection. I Found a great buy in a dog bed in clearance for $12. marked down from$49.00. The sales assistant (sorry I did not get her name) was great. She checked prices until we found this gem..... Great Work... Had my dog groomed and they did a great job....However, I think it was too pricey

Lovely store staff member whos name started by “d” a lovely black american guy (i dont want to mispronounce his name) helped me buy a carrier while i was in a hurry to take my cat to a vet, he was very energetic and kind answered all of my questions and suggested me great items at this store i would say he deserves a raise , keep it up! Thank him again for me

The associate that helped me today took soo much of her time to make SURE she got me 50 crickets. They were down to barely any, and she put so much work into making sure I had what I need, and I really appreciate that. Also whenever I come to this store the staff is super nice and helpful, and I really like the vibe. Definitely gonna keep coming here.

I did a puppy training class with Jen and she is an excellent trainer. She understands dog behavior and how to use positive training to get results. My puppy started off hating going into the store and by the end she was dragging me in because she was so excited to go to class. I highly recommend taking training classes with Jen.

Customer service Rep/ Cashier AA Lightskin Frumpy Male Made me have to request a bag after I spent over $120! I saw prior to me reach in g to counter; he offered a elderly caucasian lady a bag without inquiry. Then he rung my stuff up so fast- some of my items were damaged and I didn't see. Will NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION

I am putting one star because I cannot rate them with zero or minus five stars. I asked them to trim my Pomeranian’s hair Fox style. They trimmed all his fur and it will take months for his hair to be the way it was. I am adding pre and post photos. Terrible service. Avoid this place for grooming.

Stopped in to look at fish, since I’ll be stocking my tank soon. The goldfish tank was really packed full of fish, and there were more than a dozen dead fish floating in the top and others swimming sideways in the tank. That’s a bit concerning. I wouldn’t feel comfortable buying fish here.

I would give this location 4 stars. Clean out the dead fish in the tanks. But, the employee who helped me deserves 5 Stars! Miguel was great! He was eager, enthusiastic and knowledgeable! He went out of his way to help with my purchase AND it was 15 minutes before closing! Thanks Miguel!

My son and I love, love, love this store. We are here every week doing a fish tank water sample test. The manager Donnell in the fish dept. Is very nice, helpful. knowledgeable, and professional. He and the staff are always ready to help you in any way. It a fun store to shop.

We casually visited this store and left with the best impression. The nice cashier seemed sincerely interested in learning about our puppy and gave us some great tips about the excessive chewing. We regret not asking her name, she was a nice African American lady. Thank you!

The woman who was supposed to groom my dog got mad because she wasn't able to control him. So she decided that she wasn't going on with the haircut. Like, who does that? They are very unprofessional. They left my dog half cut and didn't say sorry for the inconvenience. Smdh

The cashier / retail staff is always so kind and patient. It’s nice to see them actively helping out customers and they were kind enough to hold onto a bag of Guinea pig food that I urgently needed as another business canceled my order with it!

Did the Adult Level 1 dog training and had a fantastic experience. Jen is an experienced trainer who really understands dogs. In general, the staff in the store are super friendly and helpful.

Shop here all the time for our kitty. The cashier lady is always friendly and making sure we take advantage of all the coupons available. She definitely cares about us and it shows!

They randomly closed at 6pm with a not so professional hand written note left on the front door on a random Monday. Had to drive a half hr just to get to another location.

They were out of the item we went there to buy, but we made a few impulse purchases. They weren't very large, but the cashier never even asked if we wanted a bag.

The groom crew is so patient and kind, ladies at the register spent a whole 30 mins helping me find a good harness for my dog
