After several years of purchasing all my baked goods from Afroditi's location on Sources Boul. & after the countless great experiences I've had, it's with great disappointment that I will no longer give them my business. This weekend I had two loved ones birthdays to celebrate & with everything that's going on with the Pandemic I chose to deliver them cakes to their doorsteps to express my wishes. Unfortunately on Saturday when I stopped by to purchase the cakes for the first birthday, my box was switched with someone else's & I found out only later that the evening (the box had less cakes than what I paid for & was clearly not what I chose). The next day when I went in to get the cake for the second birthday, I kindly mentioned it to the staff & asked if they could at least give me credit towards my current purchase to make up for the inconvenience. They mentioned that they would have to call the manager & they did. Finally, they came back to tell me that not only will they not do anything but that because no one called them about it that there was no proof (FYI I showed them a picture & proof of purchase which was clearly not the right amount for what I got) I don't care for the money as it wasn't a large amount for me & mistakes happen but for the principal alone I will no longer visit this location & will discourage anyone I know from supporting their business.

Long story short. I went to pick up a Strawberry Shortcake on June 25th. - I waited 30-45 mins to be served (there was one lady before me being served & 3-4 workers) - I had to ask questions to the two people who were in front of me leaning on the counter and talking, just to be acknowledged - after my questions were answered, they returned talking - the son's owner was on his phone the entire time and decided to go in the fridge where they keep "custom cake". HE DROPPED ONE AND LAUGHED ABOUT IT -- I am still waiting to be served! - I was charged $60 for a Strawberry Shortcake for 8-10 people. I was told today (day writing this review) that it is $40 - The cake was NOT EDIBLE. It was DRY. We threw the entire cake out. It was awful and incredibly disappointing.

Looks good but its hit or miss with freshness for the cakes . don't go on a monday for a cake. You will get cakes from the week before NASTY taste The vanilla my first experience here march 22 2021 The ppl. Who work there know this and they sell it to you anyways they dont even say the cake is old do you still want it . SCAMMERS. For all you ppl who put good reviews on this place maybe i got a bad one as they say . I will try again. And see. Then i change my review. But i dont like being scammed FYI. The cakes are not made fresh here on site. They order it they don't make them here at this location

So we got this cake for my sister anniversary, And when we got there the employee was rude , then when we told her we wanted something written she did not wear gloves due to COVID they should have atleast worn gloves. And we didn’t want to disrespect the employee in front of the customers so once we left we called them back , they said we apologized but that we should’ve told them sooner I explained to them how I didn’t want to embarrass the employee in front of the customer , then they mentioned now we are making them waste a cake. I wouldn’t have been a waste if they knew what to do properly.

This is my go to bakery for cakes! Not sure why some of the customers put 1 star reviews for “dry” cake, I’ve never had dry cake from them. I would suggest to get my favorite Oreo cake! I’ve also tried the vanilla cake with custard, Ferrero Rocher & tiramisu. My friend also bought croissant and they tasted amazing. I forgot to take the girls name, but she had great customer service, friendly and even knew the exact ingredients that were in the cake! I was very happy with her service , she wrote “welcome to Montreal” on my cake, I hope she sees my review :)

I found out that there is a new pastry store nearby and bought a birthday cake for my husband's birthday. I took a chance, since we're so used to the usual store cakes (Provigo, Cotsco, Rockaberry, La Frenaie,etc.). They have a very nice selection of all sorts of pastries, cakes and bread. I picked the Almond Vanilla Buttercream cake and everyone loved it. The cake is moist inside, fresh buttercream, and the scent and taste of shaved almonds. We like that it's not too sweet or chocolatey. They also added a nice written note on top. Very pleased!

I'm an old Afroditi client since mourelatos days then mourelatos closed because of the flood so Afroditi opened up at ddo. Ive been going there on several occasions and every single time I go i get shocked at the horrible temperament of the staff specifically the middle aged lady working there. Extremely impatient. Rude. Hardly greets anyone. Very unwelcoming. Such a shame. I spoke to a couple of friends also frequent customers and they totally agree and each had stories with that lady. We decided to never buy from them. Too bad!

The Cake is big, can not be finished by one family. Do you like it? “The taste is ok, depending on before you try other stores or not, I do not like very much” Hospitality: “No very friendly, maybe I did not come on the right time( around 6:00pm)”. Why come here?: “I am looking for new patisserie which is close to me. “ Will you come back? “ maybe not, I bought another one in the second day for my friend’s family party, mousse cake, most of them do not like it “ it is the store’s 50 years anniversary in 2021!

Today was my first day going to the patisserie and trying their sweets. The place is so beautiful and clean. The stuff is so nice, especially Angelica. She is so kind and welcoming. They have very delicious sweets. I had the dark chocolate dome and the strawberry cheesecake. The dark chocolate one was so great. The cheesecake has a fresh cream. The prices are so reasonable. They have salty patisseries, cheeses, jams, honey, and many other stuff. It is a must to go and try what they have.

The birthday cake we ordered from here turned out pretty nice despite not being exactly what we wanted. We payed in advance and were contacted a day later and told that we hadn't been charged for the chocolate drip on top of the cake. We had already found the cake to be a bit expensive and this would increase the price by 1.5x. It was a tad exorbitant so we decided to keep it as is. It tasted good and everything was fresh but it ended up being underwhelming for the price we payed.

Bought a mocha cake for my dad's 75th birthday. It might be one of the worst cakes my family has ever eaten. First of all, it was stale - the cake layers were easily 4 days old. The icing was disgustingly sweet and bordering on hard - again because this cake was not fresh. I don't know if we got unlucky but this was truly a disgusting cake and none of us ate our pieces. Straight into the garbage - big waste of money. An IGA cake would be 100% better...

it has an amazing small cafe vibe and perfect if you want to have small patisseries at a good price. The staff is very nice and the lattes are a perfect fit for anything your sweet tooth wants. It a very photogenic place and great for aby picture you might want to take to post anywhere. all in all would recommend for dessert and their cakes. Not once have i gotten anything dry from them. It is a must if you've never been to their old location.

Long time customer at their original location on St Roch Street in Park-Ex. I was super excited when they opened in DDO in my neck of the woods in the West Island. Their bread is great and their pastries are amazing!! You have to try their bougasta clean store, great staff and great tasting pastries!! They have big fans out in Northern California - San Jose / Santa Clara - it would be great to open a store out there!!

Such a horrible experience this time around. They ruined my daughter’s birthday cake which we had paid $130 for. We had made the full payment in advance. When we tried to talk to the guy who took our order that it is not what we had ordered, he was so rude an unapologetic. Instead of trying to fix it he started arguing and confronting. Worse experience never ordering from them again they lost a customer they had for years.

Our favorite bakery! We were thrilled when they opened this location in the West Island! The best baked treats and pastries outside of Greece! They also have a variety of imported olive oils and other goodies- which make the best gifts! If you have never been, try the: Spanakopita ( spinach pies), Tiropita( cheese pies) and all the boxed cookies are amazing to have with coffee and make the best hostess gifts!

Use to love this bakery but the last couple of times I’ve been here this year the customer service has been horrendous. Today was definitely the last straw. The two younger girls working there today were extremely rude and arrogant.

I love this place, their cakes are so delicious you can taste the honey you can taste the cocoa butter and other goodies that are in there! I always buy from here for our birthdays or any other occasions. I have also tried their bread , it is amazing. Their honey as well. Overall I do recommend this place to whomever looking for a good pastry or bakery.

Their pastries are the best I had in Montreal. My kids loved it. Prices are reasonable. They have cakes and lots of other bakery items which I need to try. This place was recommended to me by a friend and I will recommend it.

I recently visited this bakery and had a great experience. The lady at the front was very friendly and helpful. She recommended a strawberry cake with less sugar, which was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this bakery to anyone looking for great service and amazing baked goods. Sorry for the bad picture of the cake, it was in the trunk.

The strawberry and cream thing in a cup was amazing!! Definitely a must try as it was fresh and portion size was good. The chocolate mousse cake was lovely too. I wish the other cakes were slightly smaller in size. Also wish the cakes were labelled so I didn’t have to keep asking what is what. Service was professional and curt.

This was the first time buying from this bakery. I bought a vanilla cake with custard. This cake was very good. The cake was very fresh, the icing was not overly sweet, which I liked. Some cakes are just too sweet, not the case with this cake. The staff was very friendly, the bakery is nicely decorated. Will definitely be back.

quality/price ratio wise, this is the best pâtisserie in Montreal. Pointe finale. You can always find high quality cakes and deserts at very affordable prices here. Also some of the most friendly staff in the business. Afroditi has never disappointed my family since we visited their store first time 12 years ago.

Endroit hautement recommandé. Leurs gâteaux sont très délicieux et abordables. J'ai passé 2 mois au Canada et toutes mes visites étaient accompagnées d'un bonbon de cet endroit. L'emplacement est également un excellent emplacement pour Montréal car il se trouve à proximité de la plupart des emplacements.

I bought a cake for my mother-in-law for her b’day. I was good! Not too many collection in the cakes but we choose vanilla flavour it was tasty. I like the packaging and cleanness of the store. Other pastry’s and sweet was awesome! I feel it’s bit pricey but it’s worth it. Recommend

Found this place while driving looking for breakfast. They have a very good variety of snacks, pastries, cookies and more. The owner was very nice and did let me in before open time. Tried many items and they were all very good. Definitely a good place to buy for everyday or for a reception

I normally don’t write negative reviews…I loved this place but after the experience I got from eating a slice of a strawberry shortcake, I unfortunately found a piece of hair in that slice of cake. I didn’t get to take a photo of the hair. Great start to the New Year.

Yea sure cakes are good, but how are you supposed to enjoy it at home if you cant order it? I have been on call for 30 minutes and they still have me on hold! Its absurd. It doesnt take that long to put down 1 cake order.

Ordered a cake, agreed on new design when the Chef said that the first one is too complicated and still got a completely different one on the cake. The quality was nothing like promised and still paid 92$. Great.

Poor service, we we’re waiting for 10 minutes and the employee kept serving other customers before us. When I addressed this I was ignored, left. Do better!

Everything looks delicious. The smell alone will draw you in. Select from freshly baked or packaged Greek sweets, and freshly baked pasta.

Worst service. I bought 1 cake and 6 cup cake and they even dont give me a bag. Their other location put the boxes in a bag but they dont.
