If you are looking for a Sunday morning bushwalk and brekky (with your fur babies on lead), Moggill Conservation Park is a perfect pick. Wide tracks shaded by grand eucalypts, cockatoos and currawongs for company and just enough hills to make you earn your breakfast. We did the Central Track and Ugly Creek (a grossly unfortunate name for such a pretty, little creek) circuit that probably should have taken just over an hour but we were too often distracted by all the enchanting natural delights we met along the way. You will share the track with horse riders and mountain bikers. Although we did not encounter any mountain bikers, we did come across some very friendly horses and their riders. Be sure to treat yourself to brekky at The Reserve Cafe at Anstead before leaving. A very happily situated cafe less than 1km from the conservation park. It does great coffee and a cracking breakfast. Very popular so best to book a table. No doubt you'll also walk away with a few extra pastries. Enjoy!
Nice leisurely walk to the creek ( if it's rained otherwise dry). Then it can get harder as you go on. Great spot for birds, insects, and native plants. There's invasive species that need removing, though. You can make the trip up and back in an hour or like me look for bugs and take a few hours. It is bush. So, no views, toilets, or BBQ. It's not that kind of location. Locals ride horses through.

In the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nothing but native trees and silence. A popular spot to walk dogs or possibly even ride a horse. You'll come across a few people on weekend mornings, but more often than not you'll have space to think and Zen out. A couple of brutal hills depending on which track you walk, but take your time and it'll all be sweet.
Steep trails, well kept. Great for running and cycling if you like a challenge. If you're super-keen, you can run over the back to Mermaid Lookout, about 7.5km up to one of the best hidden views of Lake Manchester. It's a tough run though with the first 5km @ 10% gradient. Otherwise, there are some great loops starting at Chalcot Rd.
Forest in need of some TLC. Some tough fire trails up steep hills and MTB single tracks for the more experienced rider and the fit. The local care group need effort to recover the native vegetation and slow water run off which has heavily scour the gullies taking top soils. Little to no standing or running water in the streams.
A good walk to take your dog on leash, with some pleasant scenery, expansive forested areas and range of flat and steep tracks. There was quite a number of different routes you could take, with maps at most entrances to the park. Great for wildlife and particularly birds, with several parking spots around the park.
You could walk the trails for days and not see it all. There are plenty of hills to challenge your stamina. Gravel is loose under foot. Quiet and nice place to walk the dog, especially if they are not used to other dogs.

I love tramping around this forest. Its great exercise and in the shade - mostly . Its hilly and challenging I've used this environment to train up for a few events such as The Kokoda challenge in the Gold Coast.

Good walk through forrested hills with some great flora and scenery. Very steep in parts, so a hiking stick is helpful. There are multiple tracks of varying lengths. All are signposted but lacked distances. There is a map at the Chalcot Rd entrance.
It's a beautiful spot with really nice bush and trails though it. I went to mtb here and I would not really recommend it for that if you like single track or downhill, if you like fire trails and climbing then this might be for you.
Dogs allowed. Be aware it is quite hilly with a lot of inclines to tackle. We have only cover a very small part so far. Doesn't appear to be any bins though for dog poo bags so be prepared to take them home with you.
Beautiful little circuit trail! One direction is straight up and quite steep, but then downhill most of the way! Probably easier to walk up the gradual hill, but still has stunning views!
Beautiful park that's easy to get to. Views from the towers are not to be missed. I mountain bike through it. It has some steep trails but stay on Centre or Powerline for an easier track.
This is the perfect place to spend a weekend with all the dazzling nature and small creek.

First visit was not for pleasure but to release the carpet python that had eaten our Guiana Pig. I'm hoping the snake will live a long and happy life in the conservation park.
Took a group of students there to study the environment. They seemed to have enjoyed the walk. Nature at it's finest. Kangaroo's and Deer are still in the area.
A network of forest trails on foot, by horse or bike. Horse and bike riding is permitted on all trails unless otherwise signaled. A heaven for horse riding.
Great park for running/hiking around on foot. Not many great views but a reasonable challenge and distance. Looks good for biking and horse riding as well.
A big hill to walk up with beautiful scenery. The road is uneven and dangerous in places, with very limited access to water. It is still worth a visit.
Excellent spot to walk. I would rate it as 'higher moderate' as the first 1.4km requires nearly twice the effort needed for moderate tracks.
Great place for bush walking. Some MTB trails to find.

Great place to walk or run in a safe environment with wide trails. Very steep at certian parts with a main centre trail.
It's a nice place for a casual hike or a good place to explore if you are into aquariums, terrarium, paludariums etc.
Great place to visit after rain, the creek was running, the birds were chirping and all the kids were having a ball
Awesome work out! Take the dog or the horse. Some steep inclines to challenge. Dont drink from the water tank
Great peaceful place to walk, some good hills. Some great views from the powerlines. No toilets or bubblers.
Eucalyptus, Acacias, fungi but plenty of weeds, too, like lantana, mother-of-millions and prickly-pears.
Beautiful preserved nature. Though it is within Citi so you can listen vehicles. Diverse birds chirping
Pretty little park with good parking, clean toilets, several picknick tables and an open area to play.
Quiet undulating trails, always peaceful and a great place to go to lose your mind and find your soul
Excellent area for walks, with many different tracks offering different terrain choices.
Hard work with no interesting views. But a nice quiet walk if you're a local I guess.
It was OK, I feel sorry for the work the needs to be done to fix it after the floods
Great walks on wide maintenance tracks. Best of all you can bring your dogs too
Enjoyed a nice morning walk along the centre road and powerline road tracks.
Stunning. .just needs some water to be perfect..stream/creek/waterfall!
Great tracks here, good place to come for a long or short walk or hike
Great area for many activities, heaps of trails makes for good variety
Great place to get out into the fresh air. Well marked walking tracks
Nice walking tracks with good views but could do with more signage.
After the rains, our dogs love to swim in the running creeks.
Just a few fire trails through dinner varying bushland.
If you like hard work..heaps of hills... very peaceful
Beautiful natural habitat for our native animals.
