It was m'y First Time and never again. Cost me extra charge of 300$ for a delay to Pick Up due to flight delay. Before all, just a reminder that the cars in Alberta came with all Seasons tire. I saw douze cars Each Side of the road during m'y 1300km. trip. It's an aberation. I reserved for eight days for 221$ standard size. The flight between Montréal and Calgary had a delay for mechanical problem. I called Expédia to advise I will be late and let Them know and I will Pick Up early at the opening the Day after. The answer was sorry baby you have to pay 549$ if not no car!. The big problem with this Small compagnie is that Closed at 19:00 and need take a shuttle to Reach the office in a hôtel lobby vs accross the street and open to 22:00 or 00:00 for the real car rental compagnie. I was trapped in this situation with my mom ans Daughter. I looked for another but nothing less than 900$ last minutes. Plus when I took the car the Day after at the opening it wasnt same size and he wasnt transcrib integrally the date and charge me one more Day. I realized it at the Return. Finally he never put the Nick on the windshield and he probably know it with the snowfall it wasnt Clear. With my really bad start expérience I prefered return to the counter to be sure it recorded on Contract. It's not after m'y 1300km IT was the Time. Never and never again for save few $. Shuttle delay and early closure cost me Much more.

This service was a total mix bag across the board for me. To start with, the rental location isn't at the airport and, while having to take a shuttle to the rental lot isn't anything new, their location is nearly a 10 minute drive away. Upon arrival, the check-in process was also somewhat peculiar as we were greeted with almost aggressive questions about our destination. The vehicle pre-inspection felt a little sketchy as they were slow to point out existing damages until we noticed them, including an obvious crack on the windshield. The shuttle service, on our return, didn't take us to our departure terminal and just dropped us off at the arrivals bay instead. Negatives aside, however, the end goal of renting a car for 3 days was accomplished and that is what we set out to do so a review of "it's okay" would seem fair. However... There are a bunch of reviews for this place from reviewers with just 2 reviews for this and the Zoom rental company that appears to be the alternative name for the same operation. This is simply unethical and shady as heck. Until those reviews are taken down (Ponolope Cruz? Come on, at least make up more believable names), I gotta ding it another star.

0 STARS!!! HORRIBLE!!! These folks are literally thieves. They cancelled my car reservation with a lower rate automatically and charged me for the HIGHEST one. The guy forced me to buy liability insurance to cover third party costs. The worst thing was the car literally took several meters to come to a moving STOP (with loud braking sounds).The pedestrians near the intersection were hesitant to cross the street in front of me. It is very bad that these guys are in business. They provide the poorest shuttle service (their office isn’t at the airport). We had to wait at the airport because the van didn't have enough space for people with reservations. Stick with a reputable company and spend a little extra up front. Hopefully you won’t regret it and will save money in the end. They charged CA$1100 for just a small crack in the windshield. They never mentioned anything about the windshield during the pre-rental inspection and even didn't mention that there is a separate insurance for that, else we would have noted all the cracks beforehand.

I suggest anyone that rents from here FULLY understands the agreement before you sign anything. It was my first time renting a car and while the employee was explaining the agreement to me he suggested I bring the car back 'around noon'. He did not stress this was a hard deadline which may incur penalties. I brought the car back 'around noon' and as soon as I walk in the door the same employee says he needs to charge me a full day for being late. I paid $72 for 4 days and the late fee cost me $85. No where on the agreement or website does it explain the late penalty. It makes 0 sense that I would knowingly bring the car back late if it would double the cost of the rental. Shame on Mex and shame on the employee for not doing their due diligence in explaining the contract accurately. I will not be recommending your service unless I get my late fee reversed.

Great customer service with affordable, quality car rentals! Upon arrival to the Calgary airport, you can call the Mex center at the airport help desk for a free shuttle service (Mex is located inside a Hampton Inn about 5 minutes away from the airport). Our shuttle arrived within 10 minutes of our call, outside gate 6, shuttle station #22 in the pickup terminal. The service agent was extremely helpful in explaining major credit card travel benefits. My Chase Visa travel card provided total collision coverage, which ended up saving me for a small chip on the windshield I didn't notice until I returned the car. Note: In Canada, $1 M liability insurance is required, otherwise, Mex provides this coverage at $9 (Canadian Dollars) per day. Overall, great experience, and I would rent again through Mex! Definitely recommend!

OMG!!! Read all Negative reviews..DO NOT BOOK RESERVATION... unless you want to be bamboozled with extra fees! no onsite airport location. must wait for sketchy shuttle van to drive you to a hidden location where you feel you will be robbed of your belongings with no where to run. Once you are there they will ask you to sign extra charges for insurance which isn't stated anywhere on expedia... if you don't sign then your stranded in some sketchy strip mall. Manager refused to drive me back to the airport because I didnt want to pay the extra charges, and told me all rental car companies would charge me the same thing at the airport. took an uber back to airport and paid budget what they were advertising online with no hidden extra charges... STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!! ALL POSITIVE ADS ARE MADE BY EMPLOYEES

We rented a vehicle for 2 days while ours was in the shop. When we returned it, they noticed a chip in the windshield and thought it was from us. We had pictures from when we picked up the car and were able to prove that it didn't happen while we had it so they didn't charge us. My advise is to ALWAYS take pictures when you pick up a rental vehicle from ANY company as people can miss things. Also, we rented through Expedia (used the Android app) and it said unlimited mileage but it actually isn't unlimited mileage. Hopefully they will get Expedia to fix this mistake but until they do, be aware that it isn't unlimited mileage. Otherwise they were a good company. The vehicle was new and in good condition and they were friendly and efficient. Their prices were very competitive.

Worst company EVER!!!! We arrived in Vancouver, got our luggage and then went to the car rental area. Couldn’t find a kiosk for them anywhere (even though is says YVR location). We finally called the company and they said that we were 8 minutes late and they have a 30 min pickup window. They advised that they had given our car away and we would not be refunded our $500.00. Highway robbery. Do not trust this company - they will take your money even though they have not provided any service. We have contacted Go Public. Expedia should not have them as an option on their website!

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS!!! I specifically DECLINED liability as my cc covers the rental car's insurance. I have rented cars for DECADES. rent from Enterprise or any other reputable company. it is common fact that extra "liability" insurance is simply a money grab for car rental companies. that is why I decline liability every time I rent a car. regardless, they charged me for the liability insurance. this company is NOT reputable. the shuttle is inconvenient and is NOT at the airport. good luck if it is closed when you drop the car off.

Google maps address is wrong last I checked. Additionally, my booking website inaccurately claimed agency was in yyc terminal. I would not have booked had I known this. As well, it was not made clear prior to booking that a mandatory insurance will be charged if you are relying on your credit card insurance. Hertz, budget, do not do this. At this rate, the bigger agencies would have been cheaper. Car was okay, but overall most disappointed.

Okay. If you want cheap, this is your company. However, I have never dealt with such horrible customer service. They were slow and passive aggressive. Nowhere on our reservations did it mention that they were not located at the airport. It took forever to get our car. It was a huge ordeal and next time it is worth it to pay extra and go with the name brand rental companies. Never again! Horrible!

I have had to change my review. Everything was great through the whole process and vehicle was great, but I never received my $500 deposit back. I have been in contact with their main office and support and STILL have not received my deposit back. They said it would be returned right away when I returned the vehicle. I would NOT use this rental service STAY AWAY.

I rented my cars here twice while deciding on a new car. These friendly, helpful guys looked after me very well. I was able to drive two new cars and the rates were lowest compared to other places I researched. They always greeted me with pleasant smiles. I will definitely return and recommend this car rental service.

Great experience with Max Rent A Car. The guys here are great. Rented an intermediate car for 5 days. They gave us a 2018 Mazda 3, nice car. It's very close to the airport and there's even a free shuttle. Having dropped back our car they shuttled us back to our hotel too.

It's a new company so it doesn't have an office at the Calgary Airport. You have to take a shuttle van to a nearby hotel. The effort is worth it, however because the vehicle is comparable to any other rental car place but the price is better.

Great experience with Mex rent a car, they picked us up in a van from the airport and all bags were handled and even packed in our car by our driver. Car was great and they had none of the hassles of some other companies. Will use again!

We rented from mex in Loreto Mexico in December, we were very unhappy with the customer service & grossly overcharging. Now they don't respond to our concerns. Will never rent from them again, DO NOT recommend this company.

My boss was 38 minutes late for her car booking due to a flight delay and was told her car was not available anymore and she wouldn't get a refund. They said 'call Mexico' if you have any issues. Wow, goodbye to $550.
