I feel compelled to express my deep disappointment and frustration with my recent experiences at your Enterprise Rent-A-Car location. I had two separate rentals on the following dates: from October 22nd to October 24th and from October 24th to October 28th. I approached your rental counter with reasonable requests and expectations, only to be met with subpar service and unprofessional behavior that left me utterly dissatisfied. Firstly, I had a simple request to receive two separate receipts for my rentals (one for business and one for personal use) and not return the first vehicle immediately. When I approached the lady at the reception with this request, she curtly denied it, which I initially accepted. However, what baffled and irritated me was the fact that this was the only Enterprise branch to insist on having my credit card swiped, even though my card details were already stored in my Enterprise profile. The lady checked two of my cards to ensure they matched my name, a process that has never been required at other Enterprise locations. The same intrusive procedure did not happen when I checked in for my second rental with a different staff member. My frustration reached its peak when, during my first rental, my card would not work, and the Filipino lady behind the counter had the audacity to suggest that I may have exceeded my credit limit. This accusation was not only unfounded but also offensive. As a loyal Gold member who has refrained from using any of my upgrades throughout the entire year, I felt justified in seeking an upgrade to a larger vehicle when I returned for my second rental. However, my request was denied due to an alleged lack of available vehicles. To add insult to injury, I witnessed another customer being offered a free upgrade by an Indian lady who was assisting him. In an attempt to address my concerns, I raised the issue with the staff member who processed my return. He assured me that I would receive a $50 discount on my booking, but I have yet to see any evidence of this discount on my account. Instead, all I see is the corporate rate discount I routinely receive. I must emphasize that my experience at your location has left me thoroughly unsatisfied and contemplating whether I should reconsider my loyalty to Enterprise. It is disheartening to contemplate changing my rental vehicle provider and discussing this issue with my company, especially as I approach my second year as a Gold member. I had hoped for a more positive and respectful experience, but my recent encounters have left me questioning whether Enterprise truly values its loyal customers. I sincerely hope that my feedback will prompt some much-needed improvements in your customer service and procedures in this Enterprise Branch.

Disappointed by Enterprise Rent-A-Car - Calgary International Airport (YYC) Car Rental I recently had a disappointing experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the Calgary International Airport (YYC) Car Rental location. I had made a reservation for a full-size vehicle months in advance for a week-long rental. However, upon arrival, I was "offered" an SUV upgrade or a 30-minute wait for the reserved car. Considering the high fuel prices, I had purposefully reserved a car. One of the reasons I had chosen Enterprise was due to their reputation for customer service and integrity. However, this experience has left me with low trust in the company. To make matters worse, I accidentally left my sunglasses in the rental car. While I understand that it was my fault for forgetting them, I would have expected some integrity from Enterprise in returning them to me. Unfortunately, my sunglasses were never returned, resulting in a loss of $400. The rental fee ended up being overshadowed by this unexpected expense. I am deeply disappointed in Enterprise and will no longer be using my corporate discount rate to rent from them. Instead, I will opt for another car rental company that values customer satisfaction and takes responsibility for their actions. I must mention that the customer service I received during check-in and vehicle return was excellent. The check-out staff were helpful in their attempts to locate my sunglasses. However, the fact that the backend staff failed to return them is completely unacceptable. It is disheartening to be met with a smile to my face and then be let down behind the scenes. I have zero tolerance for such behavior, especially when it involves a company that prides itself on customer service. Enterprise Rent-A-Car has lost my trust, and I hope they take this feedback seriously to improve their operations and ensure their customers' belongings are treated with the respect they deserve.

What a terrible experience. Me and my girlfriend fly in get a massive “brand new f150” . After a drive up to West Edmonton Mall about to turn into the parking lot car completely seizes. No steering nothing. Had it happened 5 minutes earlier we would’ve died on the highway. No rental till the next day. (6:30pm) Left at the mall with suit cases bags and a car that blocks an emergency lane! We pay 36$ at the mall to store our bags. Uber everywhere including to the Edmonton airport (45min). Hundreds of dollars for a new rental car. Take it back to Calgary and return it. Get a new car for “free” because of the troubles for the next 2 days. We are told nothing will be charged it’s all free. We had to fight just to get hotel, Uber, food, refunded. As we did not plan on staying in Edmonton. Now 2 weeks later no cheque for our extra expenses they cost us. Charged us over $300 with no explanation a few days ago. They have said they will pay us around $400 and not charge us at all. Now we are down $700 no explanation. These people need to be sued, this is insane! —- 1.5 months later we have received the cheque for hotel/ expenses - however after saying they will wipe the whole bill- we just got as of today 11/30 a bill for $344 for our rental. (We were only suppose to have a 1 day rental but got a “free rental for 3 days) now we are being charged for the whole thing. Ernest the manager of the airport branch said no payment is due. I have screenshots of all of this and will upload it onto this review. Please note if you deal with Ernest the manager make sure everything they say is on paper. This will be turning into a legal battle at this point. They have lied but and taken payments with no clear explanation just lies. Ernest was in charge of all this and 2 months later not dealt with. I guess court is how you have to handle these people.

Absolutely terrible service. I reserved a car months before my trip to Calgary then realized that I needed to add a second driver, my son. I called the Enterprise customer service line which was useless. I visited a local Enterprise in Barrie who told me I could add a second driver when I got to the airport if I had a photo of their driver's licence since that driver would not be with me at the time. My son and I were in Cambridge so we stopped at a local Enterprise who told us the same thing. Upon arriving in Calgary I was told they could not accept the photo because they could not confirm it was legitimate. So the next day my son and I visited the Edmonton airport who quickly added my son and told us that Calgary could have added him with only the photo of the licence. I did learn the airports and the local stores run on different systems so I needed to deal directly with an airport location. Long story but in the end I had 3 Enterprises tell me Calgary could do it with a photo only, but the rude manager at the Calgary airport would not do it. I have rented from Enterprise for years and in fact was elevated to a Platinum level renter. I have received great service from many Enterprise outlets across the country but the manager at Calgary airport is absolutely terrible.

Rented a car within the last week and our experience was disappointing. First, the lady a the vehicle was describing the vehicle coverage. She mentioned a price for full coverage. Meanwhile when questioned, it was later revealed that a flat tire or punctured tire was on us, so that's not full coverage. It seemed they're knowledge or at least their wording of explanation was not correct. Second, all the other rental car companies open before enterprise at the airport. This was disappointing as you would think they would all be open at the same time. Third and most irritating was bringing the vehicle back. We were so rushed with the guys at our vehicle standing in such proximity to us as we got out of the vehicle. They were standing in front of the rear passenger doors so you had to tell them to move or go around them to unload the vehicle. We were so rushed by them that both of us forgot something in the car. Most importantly, a credit card was left behind and we had to go through the process of locking it and deactivating it. There was no email or mention of a found credit card either after we brought the vehicle back. Would not use this company again.

They're conveniently located at the international Airport, which was great for customers traveling with luggage. The staff that assisted us with the vehicle were very professional, but we were a little surprised that our vehicle had some damage upon our pickup. So of course we took photos and videos, so we won't have any issues upon us returning the vehicle in a few days. I've rented cars on multiple occasions during our travels, and this was the first time in the last 10yrs that I never received a receipt after I returned the vehicle. It's now been 10 days since we returned the vehicle on June 1st, and we are still waiting for our receipt to be emailed to us. Our overall experience was good, and we were eventually charged correctly based on our reservations. I'm not sure if this enterprise location is just super busy or if they're under staffed, but we've definitely had better customer service with other companies.

I went to Calgary for 10 days and rented a car from Enterprise. The guy at the front desk was awesome, so the rep who showed us the car. I always bought the damage waiver so that went smooth. Besides that we booked a corolla/civic car type, we got the ugliest car in the world (reliable and fuel efficient though- or we could pick any other car in the parking lot for just 15$/day extra - there was some nice trucks there). The car was nice, because it was a 2018, BUT! As I see in other reviews, here is my problem. Guys! You live in Calgary area. You should expect people taking the cars to Banff and Lake Louise and Abraham Lake, why not Jasper. I may have some experience with handling cars in bad conditions, but please! please! equip the cars with WINTER tires! It's dangerous for drivers, passengers and other traffic participants. My tires were some all season-ish and i was sliding all over the place on snowy and icy roads with the traction control ON most of the time (even on 1-2 cm of snow). Other than that, on clean roads the car handles beautiful.

I rented a car from your location and I had by far the worst experience when it comes to renting a car. It was so frustrating dealing with your employee. First of all the car was damaged, which I've never had when renting a car and was willing to pay for an upgrade despite this not being my fault. I was getting frustrated, but at no point did I raise my voice or speak disrespectfully, at which point your employee told me to "calm down". At this point I was like finish the walk through as I wanted to get out of there asap. He then further tried to convince me that a crack in the windshield was not a crack ... And it was already splitting. I have attached pictures of the vehicle. I exclusively rent with enterprise and to be honest this will probably be the last. I sent an email to the location management and I didn't get a response, so I emailed enterprise customer care, and the response I got is thanks for letting us know, we are looking into it.... Okay?

I will never rent a car from Entreprise again. The car we rent got tiny dimples on top of the car, they are barely visible, but Entreprise use special reflection board to find them. The way they check the car is very different compared to other companies and I almost feel they can always find something to charge. Those dimples might even be there before we got the car. It cost $2300+ to fix them and I spent many hours gathering documents for the insurance company. Luckily my credit card's insurance covered it, but the whole process of communication and document preparation was very painful. Also, the manager refused to provide me with the rental accident report, that almost caused the insurance to refuse to pay. Luckily another person from their insurance department called me and I was able to get the document. If you have to rent here, at least make sure you have insurance or buy their extra insurance, because they can always find something to charge.

I will be honest, I was ready to write a scathing review after my experience with Enterprise YYC. But I realize my gripe is with the general Enterprise line, who was - by all accounts - awful. My flight was delayed 7 times, and I was already stressed. The general Enterprise line made it worse; I was prepared for hell when I got to the airport. But the YYC Enterprise was SO fantastic! Unbelievably fantastic. We were led to believe that our car was gone because it was more than 24 hours since we checked in. In fact, the car was there and ready. Hitesh, our representative, heard our horror story of travelling there. He first offered us a Sedan which we were happy with, but then he upgraded us for free to a BMW - my fiancé and I's FIRST BMW!!! Oh, we were ecstatic!!! Hitesh, you do not know how grateful we are to you. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! We already booked to come back in November. & will definitely be doing Enterprise again.

Customer Service at the counter and over the phone could use a improvement when telling the renters about the fees, especially the additional (young) driver fee. Prior to leaving for Calgary, a enterprise representative told my mom it’ll be $15 for the additional young driver. When we got there, it was like $30…so which price is which? Either somebody doesn’t know how much the fee is or had made a mistake but didn’t leave a note in the system stating the mis-told price. Eventually it got settled but like still…...be a little more clear with the fees. As the for the rentals we’ve got. The first one, a Hyundai Kona: drove pretty good up until it started to have a few minor mechanical issues. Took it back and a Chrysler Pacifica given was to us, no additional charge for the trade. The second rental also drove pretty good as well, no issues. Overall, everything else was good.

This was far and away the most chaotic car rental experience I have had. We arrived from the U.S. on a Saturday evening. After a 45-minute wait for baggage (thanks, YYC airport), we showed up to be told there was a "system outage" and that they couldn't do anything. More waiting. Then, an older woman at the front was trying to rent a second vehicle, except the other driver was not there. Should have been an open and shut case of "no license, no car." Yet it took both agents to try and accommodate this person. An older gentleman next to me remarked "I've been to a lot of third-world countries and never experienced anything like this." Then, as we were leaving, the staff member walked off with our keys meaning that I had to chase them down to actually get said rental. The return process was much better, though, which is their saving grace, I suppose. But go with Hertz.

Customer service response excellent! After I had posted the review below a thoroughly informed and very helpful lady from the customer care centre called and patiently resolved all of our questions and concerns. We are thrilled with the response! "Very hard to get phone calls answered. I am reluctant to give a poor rating as we experienced such pleasing service on our lat family trip to Canada but I sent an email on June 28 to follow up the first email on June 18 because after making 39 failed calls to the Enterprise office at Calgary airport (the recording indicates that you should stay on hold until the attendant is available then later disconnects the call + the main Enterprise call centre were unable to assist). I have tried a further 23 times since then and still have been unable to speak to a person....."

Rented car six months in advance. Upon arrival, car not only was not ready, they did not have the same class car available. Nor did they have a vehicle with the GPS Nav that I had paid for in advance Even after seeing my 76 year old mother with us, they attempted to send us out in a Jeep Wrangler. My mother could barely lift her leg that high! I told them they were putting my mother at risk of injury and that they should at least include a step stool!! Only then did they suddenly realize that they had a vehicle with Nav in their lot. Geez. Apparently, they routinely over-rent their fleet. Now, in the end, they did make it right, and upgraded us to the next level car with Nav at no extra charge, but I fully believe that it was because I levied an accusation of them putting my mother at risk of a fall injury.

Absolutely horrible service at the airport location. My sister booked a car months ahead of time and was concerned about only having a debit card. She called ahead to confirm that it would be okay and was assured it would be. It even said in her booking that payment and booking with a debit card was fine. She needed two car seats for her babies and booked those as well. She was assured all was fine. She arrives in yyc after flying across the country to be told no she can’t book. She was essentially stranded at the airport at night with two babies and no way to get anywhere safely. They refused to even let her pay for the car seats to rent for one night so she could get her babies to their place of stay safely. Horrible sevice they offered no help and did not care one bit.

First to start with, had to wait over 30 minutes for a car AFTER the time it was booked for. They claimed the car needed to be washed The car was horrible and not the vehicle asked for, which they fixed with a 20% discount but even then the vehicle was completely filthy. The more time spent in it the more you could tell how dirty it was. The outside was dirty as well. Cost around 2-300 per day for a vehicle that was pretty old (2021>), I’ve heard competitors have a way newer fleet. Lost an item in the car with 0 help to retrieve it. They know who drove it, who was in charge of cleaning the car yet can’t provide reasonable help for a lost item. 2 star only because they offered a discount and that employee was super nice.

Rented a car around Christmas at Edmonton airport to get home to Calgary. During the drive, I found out that windshield fluid was frozen and it made the 300km journey very dangerous and long. Basic safety features were not checked prior to hand over to the customer. During drop off at Calgary airport, I explained the issue and was told this will be taken care of. Till date, I only got the 1 day rental charge reverted back which wasn't much to begin with. Managers at the head office and branch promised further compensation for their blunder. After several follow up emails and phone calls, I haven't heard back from enterprise yet. Hence the review just for others to know that they can expect similar treatment.

I wish I could give 0 stars but I can’t I had good experiences with enterprise rent a car this was the worst one yet I rented a sedan for 2 days for photography and small space for my gear I got the car they just gave me the key and never came with me so this was suspicious the car was mostly dented they didn’t want to do anything about it and guess what it was! Enterprise IS UNPROFESSIONAL and PUT YOU in DANGER I am a friend with the driver and we both would like to travel to Banff with Enterprise car. The female receptionist, Sisi, did promise we can stop the car there, but a cop comes out to give us the tickets regardless on what we said, so this blames to ENTERPRISE. Furthermore, Enterprise is reluctant to pay the fine, unresponsive to any complaints even they are WRONG! NEVER rent a car from Enterprise and DO NOT TRUST any of the staff. they are UNPROFESSIONAL!!! If there is 0 star to be given before i can post this i would give 0 star. It DOES NOT even worth 1 star at all!!

When we landed in YYC, we found out that we had lost our wallet. Still the girl let us book the car with my sis’ drivers licensee. I am ever so grateful that she still let us reserve the car bc we were frustrated already after losing the wallet. Word of caution, do not rent Mazda because it has battery issues. We were scared when we came back from Lake Louise and we got a notification saying to immediately charge the battery. Look it up, apparently Mazda is known to have issues. Just wanted to give you all a heads up so that you won’t have to go through the stress like we did. Happy travels!!

Outstanding service from Enterprise Car Rental at Calgary Airport! The efficiency was remarkable – swift and hassle-free. Originally scheduled for the next day, we needed the rental a day earlier due to a change in plans. Not only did they graciously accommodate our request, but the additional fee was minimal. Enterprise Car Rental proved to be the best choice with reasonable prices and, most importantly, transparency – no hidden charges. I had a great experience renting a car from this Enterprise branch. The vehicle was new and clean, but the only issue was the long wait time of approximately an hour to pick it up. However, it seemed that the demand for rentals was high at the time, as other rental companies were experiencing a similar issue. Despite this, the staff were accommodating and waived the child seat fee to compensate for the delay. Additionally, they followed up with me via email to ensure that I had no further issues or concerns.

Received a Kia that was as clean as a car that was straight out of the dealership. I declined all optional coverage and they did not try to sell it to me, also the agent answered all questions I had about the car and the rental process with great accuracy and kindness. The price at the end was the price we agreed to on the website, no surprises. It is also much cheaper than Avis or Hertz with a reasonable $6/day airport surcharge, if you are deciding between the big three Enterprise is a no brainer.

We rented a car from Enterprise at Calgary Airport in Sept 2023. The gentleman at the counter was very pleasant and referred us to his colleague who would show us to our car. Well, we met up with Anand and we couldn't have had a more pleasant and smooth experience! Anand greeted us with a warm smile and was very professional, courteous and attentive. He went over everything and all in all it took about 10 mins. Will definitely come back to Enterprise again! Keep up the great customer service guys!

I had a multi-city business trip across Canada with a great deal of driving. I’d made (or thought I’d made) reservations at each city via the National app, but I’d made an error booking Calgary. A gentleman named Shumi (sorry if I’ve spelled you name incorrectly Sir) was extremely helpful and patient getting me into a car for this leg of my trip - during a very busy part of the season in Calgary I should add. Employees like Shumi are the reason I only rent from National.

Once passed the airport security, I noticed I left my phone in the rental car that I just returned to Enterprise. So there was nothing I can do but a day later Annum from Enterprise e-mail saying their worker found a phone in the rental car so I had arranged a shipping label and e-mailed it to Annum and now I got it back. This is customer service. Thank you Annum and the worker that found my phone! Thank you Guys!

First time in Calgary, my husband was the driver. Had issues at first because his name wasn't spell correctly in the extended warranty but was resolved quickly. The Staff was incredibly professional and helpful. Customer service ran out the Rav4 so they upgraded us to a Toyota Highlander. I had an extremely pleasant experience with this branch. I accidentally left my home keys behind a returned vehicle and only realized it when got back home, which was a 40 minute drive from the airport and just next to the branch closing time. Tess Campbell and her team ran the extra mile and managed to retrieve it back to me at such a late time. Thank you for the great customer service.

For both private and business reasons I rent a car approx. 5-10 times per year and I usually do not use Enterprise. But... I guess this station provided the best service I have ever had at a rental car station. The staff was extremely friendly, and customer focused. I'll definitely rent from them again when I am back in Calgary. Keep up the great work!

One of the smoothest and most pleasant experiences of renting. The lady at the checking counter was very helpful and Anand was very friendly, pleasant and professional. He made our driver add on easy ...and offered and full tank top up option...which have us a lot of peace of mind for our trip back.Definitely would rent from enterprise again.

The best car rental experience ever! Staffs were so helpful with our needs specially having two kids on a trip. They assisted us with car seat rental as well and good deal with upgrades. Pick up was so smooth staff name Sami M was so informative and nice to us. The drop was fast as well. Definitely recommend it with our family and friends.

Amazing customer service! No one in line both times we went, and they got our car ready within 10 minutes. I was super impressed that they honored their promo deal through which I rented a car for $10/day haha. Turns out it was a system glitch on their end, but still so happy they honored it. Had a great experience when I rented a car from Enterprise. The check in was perfect and professional but it nothing compared to the checkout which we did today in Calgary. I booked an intermediate SUV in November 2022 but ended up receiving a pickup truck without any other options offered at the same price. The mileage is terrible, and to make matters worse, the customer service didn't provide any help or assistance.

Was stranded in Edmonton and then had to get back to Calgary Enterprise, was told it would all be completely free by the Branch Manager and now they are charging me for everything, including a truck I couldn't even use. we got a car in kelowna. the car was new and was giving good gas mileage. the fires created state of emergency. this company let us take the car to calgary drop off . They waited the 500 drip charge. Very nice of them

Great price and a great experience at this location. We flew in from Toronto and we had a bit of trouble finding the rental car area which is by the departure area. The vehicle was clean and the staff was friendly.

Great service. Easy pick up and drop off. We were able to pick it up an hour earlier at 1030pm and the car was ready for us. Booked through Costco travel (included additional driver and CDW) and highly recommended!

Beware ! I was given a dirty car full of scratches and knicks and rock chips marks , I had to go back and complained about it and the lady gave me a nicer car but thanks about wasting my time..

Driver be aware! This company is a theft. REMEMBER take a picture of transaction completed before you leave parking lot. Otherwise you will receive $75 penalty from Enterprise!
