The Witchers of Kildonan Park The witchers of Kildonan Park are a mysterious group of monster hunters who live in a secluded hut in the woods. They are said to be trained in the use of magic and weapons, and they are able to defeat even the most dangerous creatures. The witchers are not always welcome in the park. Some people fear them, believing that they are dangerous and unpredictable. Others believe that they are a necessary evil, and that they help to keep the park safe from monsters. On rainy days, the witchers can often be found inside their hut, sharpening their swords and practicing their magic. They are always prepared for a fight, and they are always ready to protect the people of Kildonan Park. Here is a poem about the witchers of Kildonan Park: The witchers of Kildonan Park Are a mysterious and storied band. They live in a hut in the woods, And they hunt monsters all around. They are skilled in the use of magic, And they are armed with swords and axes. They are not always welcome, But they are always needed. On rainy days, they can be found Inside their hut, sharpening their swords. They are always ready for a fight, And they are always ready to protect. The witchers of Kildonan Park Are a force for good in the world. They keep the park safe from monsters, And they help the people who live there. If you ever see a witcher, Don't be afraid. They are your friends, And they are here to help.

A beautiful and safe park. But I must add that I’m quite disappointed at how the area outside the restaurant has been unkept. The floors tables and garbage bins should be washed periodically as they’re filthy and smelly. They also shouldn’t have the big recycling/garbage bins right in front of the restaurant area. I am there regularly with friends sitting outside the restaurant tables, and the odor from these bins are overwhelming attracting all kinds of insects. All around the park the garbage bins are filthy and often full of garbage. They definitely should give more attention to this situation specially the sitting area outside the restaurant. Floors should be washed with a pressure hose and disinfected as well. People sits there with children daily and more attention should be given to these areas! I have noticed as well with big concern the public washrooms located in the restaurant basement are not cleaned or disinfected properly… there are two custodians onsite and as I have observed on a daily basis they spend most their time walking outside or on their phones. They do not attend to their duties except at the end of shift and bathrooms have been grossly neglected.

This trip was okay. Except its the 3rd time we went swimming at the pool here and had to leave because someone's kid pooped in the pool. This was frustrating for so many reasons. First we waited over an hour in line to get in. We paid $7.50 plus 4.50 to get in. Swam for 20 min then had to leave. I mean I get that people want to swim with their babies but isn't that what wading pools are for? I have nothing against swimming with little kids, but if your kids not potty trained i don't think they should be allowed in the pool. I mean this ruined over 120 peoples day of swimming with their kids. Who are fully potty trained and can swim. I dunno? Maybe I'm wrong? But I think age restriction wouldn't hurt here. It happens all the time. Other then that the park is beautiful. Lots of room lots of flowers. The pond smells really really bad though. I recommend staying clear of it. Its a nice park. But not the nicest park.

We use the pool, it was nice, warm, the shallow entrance is great for children. The area that's not too deep, like maybe close to four and a half feet, was quite large so it was great for my younger kids. There's a deeper area as well but I didn't use it because I was with little kids. It also has two water slides. There's a splash pad area attached to it as well which is great for a little bit of variation. It was a little bit hard to find parking but we found some that had just a small walk to the pool

  • Rachel Sagar

Good park to be enjoyed by persons of all ages. Main problem in current season is when you pass near trees, worms are there and even on roads. Even in grounds, lawn, tables everywhere these worms/bugs are present. Hope park authorities will take necessary actions in the matter. Has good quality swimming pool, children's play area, theater, etc. for enjoyment. Children can enjoying playing in ground, slide, swings, etc. Has wheelchair accessible parking.

  • Mary Reimer

It is a nice place, it needs more picnic tables with a growing population in the area. Parking is difficult in the site location but there are parking lots just to be willing to walk with your stuff if you're having a picnic
Playground
Nice place structure for the kids by the public pool area.
Restrooms
There are only 2 buildings for the restroom, one at the pavilion and the other near the play structure by the witch 's hut.

  • Frost Avenger

Has a good sized play ground.
Restrooms

Always see a good bit of dogs at the park

  • biguncleshirley

It was a great little detour on our walk around the park. The pool & slides are a short walk away & excellent, lots of shade for picnics & relaxing & so much for the kids to do. Came Bach today with the littlies for the pool. What a great facility. Nice & lots of seats & tables. Packed a picnic & made a day of it. Great family fun. Noticed my spelling mistake. It’s also reasonably priced & wont leave you baroque.

  • Angel Peterson

Playgrounds, hiking, ponds flower gardens are free to enjoy. There is a cost for admission to the pool and splash pad. One thing that is lacking is parking. It is a very well utilized park, so parking can be difficult, especially near the pool and main playground.
Restrooms
Restrooms are few and far between.
Dog-friendliness
Lots of people walking their dogs. Dogs need to be leashed and picked up after.

  • Colleen Renaud

We went skating there one evening. The pond is a nice size, pretty good steps to get onto the ice, and there is a large indoor change area with benches to put on your skates. The ice surface had a few cracks and gouges in it, so you need to watch out for those. Pretty lights over most of the surface made for a nice evening skate.
Restrooms
The restrooms at the skating pond were clean and well-maintained.

  • Haleys comet

I love this place. It has everything: trails, beautiful gardens, playgrounds, ponds to watch ducks, road side walking for bikes and rollerblading, a golf course, swimming pool, theater. The list goes on. Wintertime skating and sledding. One of Winnipeg's high points for sure! Great to take the family for gatherings as well as there are multiple places to set up bbq and covered benched seating outdoors!

  • Logan Edwards

Not as big as Assiniboine Park and often overshadowed by it, this is honestly my favourite park in Winnipeg. Tons of trees, picnic areas, fields, a restaurant, a skating rink/pond (depending on the season), an outdoor pool, play structures, toboggan slides and two notable attractions: the Witch's Hut and Rainbow Stage. In a very good area of town.

  • Se n ada

Nice and large outdoors space for everyone and it's with in city limits. Summer time there are beautiful garden and lots of shade for everyone. There is also splash park with fair size swim pool. There is restaurant in the park too but reservations have to be made. All in all all seasons you can find something fun to do in this park .

  • Anna Glibka

This park is small but nice. Especially in the summer. The variety of flowers is mesmerizing. Sometimes, it's hard to find parking, but it's not really busy on the weekdays. The restaurant offers ice cream and some simple food from the outside window, and the restrooms under the restaurant are accessible to the public year round.

  • Sheila Mckenzie

This is the place to go for nice long walks with your family, or have a family function like barbecues , when there are just to many of you. You can play games right by your site or just lay around I the grass. Or throw a line in the river to catch a big hole fish. Also the flower garden is beautiful.

  • Biff Beltsander

I'd forgotten about this park and I'm very happy to of rediscovered it. The park is beautiful and very well kept. Wonderful ponds, picnic areas, sports areas, walkways, playgrounds, The Witches Hut, Rainbow Stage, the flowers, the beauty, and the cleanliness. Wonderful place, you should go.

  • Alan Fink

Love parks in cities. And while this park is in a fairly suburban portion of Winnipeg, it still brings a peace and solace from "reality". Lots of paths. The witch's house from "Hansel and Gretel". An amazing outdoor theater (Rainbow Stage). And just lots of greenery and places to chillax.

  • sue petrachek

The geese and ducks love that place, we just drive thru the park...they have nice bench to sit and tables to eat at. People are good and clean up after themselves. Lots of dogs walk thru the park and all are on leash. They also have over by pool area a nice playground for little kids..

  • Rachael Buckingham

Beautiful park, love the duck pond, playground, and witches hut. Wish there was more parking options, on a summer weekend you have to park where you can and walk a fair distance. Can be difficult if you book one of the enclosures to haul all your stuff from across the park.

  • Rabid Motorsport

My favorite park to visit. Spend many summer days playing lawn bowling and soccer. Going for walks. Great bike paths. A very busy park especially during nights with events and rainbow stage is always a classic. The witches hut is one of my earliest childhood memories

  • Lightning McQueen

  • Kelly Copeland

Gorgeous park, lots of different areas connected by footpaths. It's like a park in a forest there are so many trees. Canadian geese love it here. Clean washrooms. Restaurant. Perfect for walking, picnicking, riding through on your bike. Playground, swimming pool.

  • Carolyn

Classic Winnipeg park with multiple attractions. Always lots of families enjoying the sites with bbqs, parties, and gatherings. Great for driving around in your classic or not so classic car. The witches hut, Rainbow Stage, gardens, and great walking paths.

  • Allan Hinton

Nice flower gardens. Pond by pavilion had bad smell and needed aeration. As visitors we had to drive through an urban wasteland on MaIn St to access park. Looked like Detroit inner city. Gabage, filth and strung out street people amid burned out buildings.

  • Alex Miracle

This park has everything, it was my childhood growing up and i love it here. The waterpark is a must go because the green slide is FUN, The witches hut is cool but my friend got a wood tick because there are so many trees luckily we got it out …

  • Gerrit Theule

One of the city’s great parks. It’s pretty massive with lots of green space and trails throughout. The witch’s hut is a Winnipeg classic and the space near the water is pretty nice too. The gardens are quite pretty and there’s lots to do

  • Chris Kaye

Walking my dog by myself in the dark. So creepy for this time of year. I'll go next time during the day light. But of course my dog loved it with all the squirrels and rabbits she was hunting for. She did not get one no worries.

  • Jacinta Procca (Jay)

This park was the park that my parents got their wedding photos done. So it will always have a special place in my heart. It is very pretty park, that has a lot of side trails off the path. Greatly enjoyed visiting this one.

  • J 204

Is there planning to book a party here, Don't waste your money. Super impossible to get a hold of, And the rental space doesn't even have electricity or water. And it's extremely expensive and not worth it. Do not recommend.

  • Terry Proveau

We drove around the park and got out to use the bathrooms and also visited the Hansel & Gretel witches hut, which looks cool.
Restrooms
Inside the main building where the restaurant/ice cream place is.

  • C. Mo

A beautiful park for family picnics and wedding photos. You will also find interesting music events at the amphitheater.
Picnic area
There are plenty of picnic tables for families to enjoy a barbecue.

  • Preet Chawla

Absolutely wonderful park. Great place for summers. It has waterpark, kids swings and slides park, bbq and picnic areas, flower gardens, rainbow stage theater and a restaurant as well.

  • Jacky Renaud

We went skating on the pond. Although the ice quality left a lot to be desired, if you are confident enough to avoid the cracks, it is a cool ambience at night with the artsy lighting.

  • A G

Very nice park, nicely maintained The only thing which I am looking forward to is to maintain cleanliness in public rest rooms. Currently the rest rooms are there but not so tidy.
