I've been here in the past and the prices were okay. This year the quality is poor and the prices are sky high. The product is no where near worth what they are asking. Save your time and money. They also wouldn't let me take my Herschel backpack in with me to try on one pair of shorts. Which were priced at $40 actually hindsight I'm glad I walked out that's horrendous so I have tried on clothes here before and had zero issues with backpacks going into the dress room with me. I had one item and plenty of money she wanted me to leave it at the front and I have really expensive stuff in it. She's like can you take your wallet out. No ! Did she want to replace my $3000 laptop if something happened to it. No one is at the till to watch it. Was browsing and no one was there during my visit. They were in the back. Store used to be great but now it's not worth it. Keep going.

I've been visiting this store before they moved the first time. I was probably about two feet tall at the time trailing behind my mother. The service has been excellent from when they sold mainly second hand clothes all the way to having the abundance of selection they have now. My friends will attest that while walking up commercial drive I cannot walk by this store without being pulled in. One of the things that drives me to this store is the mannequins at the front. I have never been to a store before that dressed the mannequins in what society dubs "feminine" atire. It is truly a safe place for those of lgbtq community. The styles range from dominatrix in faux leather, to rainbow unicorns on a sky blue background, all the way through to business attire. whatever your shopping needs I highly recommend this business

I adore this store and refer all of my friends to JQ clothing. I've been shopping there for 20+ years! They're always willing to help you pick out an outfit - giving you honest advice and helping find other sizes or styles that might be a better fit. The service is amazing, the staff are friendly and approachable and the vibe is queer friendly, affirming, inclusive and safe for exploring the potential new you. The clothing variety is amazing and it's definitely the place to go looking for fun, sexy, colourful club wear and rave outfits although I shop there for casual clothes too. They also have a good curvy section! They have jewellery, accessories, tutus, onsies, capes, tights, fishnets, harnesses, socks, back packs, fanny packs and so much more. Make sure you stop by around Halloween too!

JQ is simply the best festival and fun-wear store. The staff are friendly and love helping you find that special outfit that makes you feel sparkly and sexy! There are so many reasons to love JQ and everyone in it, it is a safe and friendly environment with large change rooms and mirrors inside for added personal comfort, there is clothing for all body sizes and the owner is a big believer in giving - bring your unwanted toiletries for donation! When the store is open she has weekly dance parties on Fridays with a live, local DJ. The world needs more JQs <3 Please folks, head to JQ before you head to the big online ordering sites, it's so important to support our local, small businesses!

I absolutely LOVE coming to this store! Everything is so unique and I just can't get over how affordable it is. I'm so used to little boutique stores being too rich for my blood, but these are surprisingly low prices, and there's sales regularly. The staff are always friendly too! You can tell they work to cultivate that welcoming atmosphere and it's like visiting a friend when I go shopping. It's a couple blocks from Commercial Skytrain station, so it's incredibly easy for me to get to, which is nice. This store is so great that when I have friends from out of town, they ask me to take them there because I rave about it so much. And so far, no one's ever been disappointed! :D

I happen to know the lovely owner of this clothing store because I was an entrepreneur myself with a service to provide....she welcomed my service with open arms. As I did my very best to keep her storefront windows spotless on a weekly basis. I have witnessed many productive and positive changes through the years and since I am a plus sized woman...I have always been able to find something to fit my curvy body...:) I would recommend if you are ever in the neighborhood on commercial drive...to definitely stop in and check it out....the employee's will absolutely help you in whatever you may be looking for...they are always pleasant and polite...:) happy shopping!!!!

Vancouver generally dresses very conservatively. It's incredibly boring. Fortunately, there are shops like JQ which exist to rattle those cages. It's a great place to add colour and iridescence to ur wardrobe. the LGBTQ+ friendly label is accurate. go in there and u won't be railroaded to ur "proper" gender. (Tho I have noticed this is more common in this day and age.) another nice thing is that they are able to have their change rooms open. this is especially good for people who are sensitive to touch; it allows one to ascertain the comfort before leaving the store. I have no specific suggestions for improvement. it's just simply a nice shopping experience.

Something always catches my eye every time I go in here. Reasonable prices. They're locally owned/operated for over a couple decades now, and even have a small selection of handmade clothing items. Great for Pride gear, rave/concert wear, or just other cool and unique items to style up your wardrobe! *also a great selection of unique tights and earrings! Only thing I wish they would changes is that there's such a huge selection of low quality/made in China items, I wish they would have fewer of these in the future to help support ethical production. BUT, there is good selection, so it's pretty easy to choose from outside of just these things.

JQ Clothing is more than just a retail store. It is a safe space for the LGBTQ2SIA+ community to express their authentic selves. My partner and I have shopped there many times over the years and Corina (and her Rockstar staff) have made both of us feel supported, welcomed and comfortable. The quality of the clothing is great, the styles are unique AND comes in inclusive sizing. The prices are lower than expected for club & rave wear. I love the accessories! Pride wear/gear is in stock all the time (gotta love that!) We will be customers for life. I encourage all fashionistas to support this local business. ❤️

Huge pin on my commercial drive stroll, i loved shopping here for years when i was a kid and my parents took us to shop at the DM market i’d always sneak off after giving mum the chocolate i wanted. I’d run next door to the jean queen and sifted through every piece of clothing they had and i remember wishing i could get them one day. Then one day they partnered up with my elementary school and held a fashion show i was so excited and at the end they let us keep some of the outfits. Truly an amazing boutique! I miss shopping here now that im moved out of the city great high quality clothing

Amazing staff, Amazing prices, Amazing store! The store has items not found anywhere else in Vancouver, from dresses to leggings. You feel welcomed the moment you walk in. This welcomed feeling is due to noticing that they have several different sizes of clothing and having staff that welcome, and accept you without judgement. The staff support you while still giving you the space you need to wander around and make decisions on what you like. Every dress I own is from JQ Clothing Ltd and I recommend this store to all my friends and now to you, check them out!

This store has such a variety of fun clothing selections. I visited twice during last holiday season and brought somethings each time for parties. The staff are great and super helpful. The reason I gave a 2 stars is the quality of the products ~ Those items that i brought were not on sale items, but they fallen apart already during my 1st and only one time used. I knew the products were the best quality but didn't expect them to be this poor. Perhaps in the future, the store can better select clothing lines that last, just a little longer!

I went in to look for a particular item, and within the first minute, I was asked 3 times if I needed assistance. Once or twice in 5 minutes is fine, but 3 times in less than a minute is a bit much. And once I had an item in my hand, I was asked 3 more times if I wanted a fitting room. And every time, I said "I'm not ready yet, I'd still like to look around" and they still didn't take no for an answer. I never thought I'd say theres such a thing as too much customer service, but it was actually uncomfortable and made me want to leave

This place basically resells fast fashion & accessories - Merchandise is not the greatest quality at all, prices are OK. Not the most impressive. You can find better deals at urban behaviour & ardene or claires tbh. Owner & staff are well meaning but severely overbearing - more so the owner. I enjoy shopping independently as a customer & this is not a store where I felt free to do so. Owner constantly talks to customers in the store & I don’t think she takes into account some ppl would rather shop/browse unbothered.

I've been shopping here forever and they have always had exceptional customer service. I remember when they were on Commercial Drive years ago and they had a little section for children and the owner would always give my children a little toy. (They stopped it, but what else can they do?...give toys to everyone?)The clothes are cool and they have a curvy section and hosier for taller women. I love the funky jewelry, also. Staff helped me find the prettiest maxi dress for my trip to Rome. It is a gem on the Drive.

Hands down the best clothing store in Vancouver. I never regret bringing someone here to go dress shopping for the first time. The staff is more than supportive, regardless of who you are. They even have "male" mannequins in dresses out front. I've brought everyone from newbie drag performers to friends needing an updated wardrobe to even my mom. We've never been disappointed with our shopping experience. Phenomenal selection, amazing staff. Five stars all around.

This has been one of my favorite stores for years!! The owner is a complete GEM to boot! They have a wide range of sizes (including "plus" sizes), gender neutral clothing, evening dresses, "festival wear" (but really just super funky and my everyday wear), beach garments, and my favorite place to get leggings! Plus they have a sweet selection of accessories! Always take a look at thier earrings and the sale rack Check them out you won't regret it!

JQ is one of those stores which represents the heartbeat of a neighbourhood. All of the staff are insanely friendly, supportive, and kind. JQ often has sales and keeps prices affordable so that all of us can enjoy their clothing and accessories. Corina, the owner, has also supported local schools fundraisers personally and through the business. A perfect way to start a stroll down the drive, drop in JQ and show them some love.

As a prominent member of Vancouver's drag community, I cannot think of a more welcoming environment. It's my second home, really. The incredible staff are knowledgeable, without judgment, and hugely encouraging. Where else can you get an honest opinion nowadays?! These are only a handful of the reasons why I send all of the new girls in town there as their first destination to find their look. It's retail with mega heart!

One of my favorite clothing stores in Van! The dresses are to die for, and the selection of clothes and accessories are always fun, unique and super cute. It also has the best selection of sexy stockings I've come across. The stock is always changing, so there's usually new stuff to look at when you go in, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and I've never been shocked looking at a price tag. JQ you rock.

I love this store! The prices are affordable and there’s always something there for everyone . I love the huge selection of stockings, knee highs and stay ups and all the glammy accessories! There’s always new stuff coming in and I’ve put together some killer outfits here! My fave pieces are from this store ! I think the best thing is, as a trans person I feel comfortable and always welcome shopping here!

JQ is my first stop for all my fun fashion and party dress shopping! The selection and styles are great - from classic pin-up style dresses to hip retro 80's and 90's reproductions to contemporary styles, the prices and variety are killer! Not to mention the amazing selection of fun stockings and accessories. And since they carry both standard and full-figured size range, I recommend JQ to all my friends!

This is one of my favourite stores. Not only do they have wild and fun fashions. but they're very INCLUSIVE. all genders, shapes, and sizes are welcome. I've gotten some of my most favourite articles of clothing here and they have accessories for EVERYONE. There is a lovely group of staff who are easy to approach and very helpful. It's one of the best places for off the wall costume-esque clothing at a very affordable price. If you're tired of dressing like a drone or you want to expand your festival attire / sexy time outfits JQ is a great place to check. The selection isn't exhausting but it's got a worthy enough stock to poke around.

As a P.O.C. expect to be followed around the store. I visited this store with the intention of purchasing several articles of clothing but the constant surveillance led me to simply walk out! The store owner thinks she’s progressive but is woefully out of touch. The selection and pricing at Model Express and Ultra Love are much better and you won’t be followed. You have been warned!

Huge fan of JQ! I've gotten most of my favourite dresses from them! They have a good variety of sizes (I'm a size 1X) and the selection is always changing. It's stuff you can't buy anywhere else so it's unlikely you'll run into someone else with the same outfit, which I like! Prices are reasonable too. The staff is always helpful. The dresses are by far my favourite items!

I Love This Place!! Cutest little store!! The best place for the hottest kisch clothes on The Drive. They have all sorts of leggings, sweet little dresses and cool & funky accessories!!! This is an absolutely amazing place to shop run by a super amazing, super caring and accepting individual. I've been shopping here for years, both before I came out as Trans, and after, and have always been welcome. I've never felt uncomfortable shopping here or trying stuff on here, and anyone who says differently has an agenda or has never actually been here.

I did a rainbow theme for my pregnancy photoshoot... courtesy of the owner, she gave me a good deal on the dress/coat combo. I also got the rainbow leggings (to hide scary pregnancy veins hehe). The customer service is always top notch over the years, she pays attention to fun trends too. I drag everybody who still knows how to enjoy dress up to this place :P

Excellent first visit to this store. Was assisted by Kat, who was very welcoming and enthusiastic about the clothes. I left with some awesome pieces ranging from lingerie to party wear to everyday wear. Lots of cool stuff in this place that I haven’t seen before. I found the regular prices to be reasonable and the sale prices awesome. Will definitely return.

The girl who was working there yesterday was so kind and lovely. She was attentive when it seemed like I needed help but was too shy to ask. She was very helpful with showing me the things around the store and gave me an extender for the harness I liked but was too small for me. Very nice customer service and I love the contents of the store

Owned by an amazing woman with a wonderful staff, sizes from XS - 4X, unique & beautiful clothing at affordable prices & tons of accessories that are hard to find anywhere else. I've been recommending this store to people since I was in high school & will continue to do so as long as it's around.

been my favourite store for years! all items are gorgeous and great quality for very reasonable price. employees are all very kind and helpful as well. the red headed girl that helped me today was so sweet and didnt make me feel rushed at all when i came in 10 minutes before they closed which i very much appreciate:)

Used to love this place but the owner has a habit of following native people around the store and making them leave their items at the front. She grabbed the dress I was going to buy from me and insisted I leave it at the front today. Several of my brown sisters have experienced the same thing. Boycotting this place.

Every single time I am in Vancouver, I make a trip to JQ Clothing!!! The service is incredible, the selection of clothes and accessories is awesome and I just feel so welcomed when I’m there. I've been able to find a lot of great items at JQ. I first went there looking for a harness, a tutu and rainbows and I was not disappointed! They have a great selection and friendly staff. I've been back recently for rave and festival wear as well as leggings. Great deals on lots of items. I love this local shop!

The staff and service is always amazing, in my experience. The prices can occasionally be a bit high, but the quality of the clothing is almost always worth it. Wonderful safe environment, and super fun clothing. I live out in Poco but I like to make the trip at least once a month, and it's always worth my time.

It's not like it used to be. I used to shop here for my teen daughters. Now it's more of a risk'eh kind of genre. Caught off guard since I had my grandson with me but if I was alone and was shopping for a fun and outgoing person then this outgoing shop of sparkle and d&sub attire would be the place to go to!!

Great selection of fun,funky and classy. You can get accessories from cat ears to jewelry. The clothes are unique and most are great quality. The only bad thing is that it can be a little pricy. But all the working are helpful and really focused on finding you something you'll look great in.

Wonderful customers service, honest about sizing, if the item may run on the small size and/ or if an item is more giving. All in all I personally love this store. They have adorable clothes to help you feel yourself in no matter what you are doing ( raving, burlesque, street ware)

My favourite store in all of Vancouver Corina is just a little piece of Sunshine in my heart and her products she sells Im pretty sure are infused with straight up love just being in the same building as her! Plus sizes that are sexy and empowering and quirky all at once!

Fun little clothing shop. I like to refer to it as off brand hot topic given the nature of the patterns on dresses and leggings. I've gotten some great jewelry here and the service is always great. The staff are extremely accommodating when it comes to trying on clothes.

I give 2 stars because they bring many stuff from aliexpress. If you search good, you can find their many items in aliexpress, 6-7 times cheaper. Qualities are not good and overpriced, doesn't worth it. Workers are friendly though..

Fun, affordable store, friendly helpful staff. I dont typically buy the party wear, which is the main focus of this store these days, but I love their jewelry/accessories and their leggings.
