Great Western Super Centre, located at the corner of Samford Road & Settlement Road, Keperra, has been a major landmark in Keperra for over 20 years. There are two main entrances to Great Western Supercentre. One entry point is located when travelling outbound from Brisbane along Samford Road, & the second entry point is from Settlement Road. Since mid-2021, an ongoing major upgrade with a new road intersection has been constructed for a large housing development to be built in the old Keperra Quarry by Fraser's Properties Group. The new intersection with traffic lights & pedestrian crossings is now complete & is now open to the general public to visit the onsite sales office. Great Western Supercentre has a fantastic range of store outlets such as Woolworths, Supercheap, BWS, Terry White Chemists, Hungry Jack's, First Choice liquor outlet, which are convenient for everyone living in & around the local Keperra district. Finnigans Chin an Irish Tavern. has been here in Keperra since the Great Western Supercentre precinct opened over 20 years ago. This tavern is a fantastic place for locals & anyone visiting Keperra to enjoy a cool ale, meal, or watching fantastic live entertainment or live sporting events on large screens. Plenty of adequate Undercover & open air parking is available for everyone, including seniors & disabled parking Brisbane City Council Bus runs regular services in & out of the centre. The Great Western Super Centre is one of the busiest shopping precincts in the immediate area of Keperra and Ferny Grove. The Bunnings Supercentre located on the property next door on Settlement Road means that the Keperra local district is a very popular area to enjoy a wide variety of shopping. The Great Western Super Centre is an excellent place to enjoy a fantastic shopping experience in an ever growing part of the North West area of Brisbane.

A modern spacious mid sized shopping centre. Easy access and wheelchair friendly entry. Great Western contains a variety of popular outlets including: a Service Station, Australia Post Office, Woolworths, Rivers Clothing, Supercheap Auto, Goodyear Tyre Centre, BCF, Aldi, The Reject Shop, News Agency, Medical and Dental Center, Chemist, ATM along with many other outlets. There are assorted popular take away food outlets located in the complex, as well as an Irish theme tavern and a liquor supermarket. Inside the main complex there is a small food court area along with some food and coffee shops. Please note that l have only rated this complex at four stars because it is a smaller shopping centre. There are far bigger shopping centres containing many more outlets on the north side of Brisbane. This is not a negative assessment. Great Western is still very well appointed for its size and has all the essential items you would need on a regular shopping visit. I often do my weekly grocery shopping here and have no complaints. Please note that Great Western complies with social distancing and covid 19 precautions. Please note that the Great Western exterior had a recent renovation to the neon sign and entrances in early 2023 but still appears much the same as in the photos. New photos have been added.

This review is only based on the Nightmare Trolley debacle within the shopping complex. The poor hard working trolley people ( a job that not many people would be lining up for, especially with low income range) are to be commended. However, the amount of shoppers that leave their trolleys all around the surrounding car park areas are just so disrespectful, not only to the trolley people but more so towards the elderly ( motorised scooters) young families, people with disabilities and the elderly. in general. These trolleys are a 'safety hazard' and Centre Management, Woolworths need to come up with plan that prevents 'thoughtless' customers leaving trolleys everywhere ( lined up along Terry White entrance to Centre). Coin operated trolleys are the way to go!

My local centre has most essentials with some indoors and many others spreading out from this hub in a long 'arm'. Opposite the main centre across access road is another arm of food shops ending with Finigans pub and the bottle shop. Hungry Jacks has an outlet up there too. A busy centre. Doctors, Pathologists, Large Chemmart aka Terry white chemist with friendly staff and naturapaths available, Katies, Crossroads, newsagent, shoe repairer, coffee shop, jewellers and bakery inside with Post office, pet shop, Reject shop, Aldi, Millers, pool shop plus others outside. A good all rounder but a bit of outside under cover walking to go from area to area.

I have shopped at this shopping centre many times when visiting relatives in Keperra. It is well kept and clean with convenient health services, gym, Woolworths, and eateries. Pepper & Salt cafe is particularly good with great food and service. Hand made cakes and pies are delicious. Variety shops are always changing with hairdresser, barber, fashion, jeweller, nail salon and others. There is a new Bunnings next door with Taco Bell and KFC. Parking is Ok with some under shade sails. Bus service runs through the centre with a bus stop that is convenient especially for older travellers from nearby facilities.

This is not Susie Stimson. This is a very angry person that won't tolerate being told how to do their job (not to mention being threatened with police presence). I've had problems with this security guard before & this is why I don't like working at your complex (because of the behaviour of the abovementioned person).I've lived in the area for over 20 years & my family live in the area & they're going to know about the heavy-handed tactics handed down towards me today by the "security". This person needs to watch her mouth before anyone else goes up her for her disgraceful behavior. Wake Up Great Western !

This shopping centre is great. It's got everything! My grandson wanted a skateboard,so we went to the skateboard shop. They were so nice. While we were there,a boy came in and stood next to me. We talked and he told me he had a new bike and had broken it,doing a bunny hop. I said I knew the bunny hop. He was surprised, I'm 62 yrs old. He said I should get on Blaynes skateboard,it would go viral he said. I said I don't think so,I'd probably break something! Long story short, they gave us wheels for free. And a discount on the sticker. Great shop, nice people.

Management does a good job of looking after the area. I have only had to complain about safety once with overgrown plants causing hazards to the walk areas and they sorted it out very quickly. The centre itself is a rather sprawling affair and the traffic flow is a bit messed up I think. Given the way it has been set up it is probably the best it could be but there are better laid out shops with more space to move. There is a full range of shops here from Medical to entertainment and it is in a very convenient location on a major intersection.

Local marketplace located in the heart of Keperra. With a large variety of popular retailers, not only can you find a diverse range of local grocers, a mix of outlets insures many consumer needs are met. This including, some of Australia's leading homeware, novelty, department and lifestyle outlets. As well as petrol station and local bar, if you stop in at The Great Western Keperra, it is likely that you will leave with a unique hillside shopping experience!

  • Jason Prins

This is a niche shopping centre with a very good medical presence. Additionally there are a few speciality stores such as BCF, jewellers and let shop. The centre is convenient to the local population however it is let down by the limited tight parking that will likely become a bigger problem as the population number grows. The nearest competing centre is the Arana Hills plaza and a little further away the Brookside centre.

  • Mat Hill

Good as usual but came unstuck when l went to get fuel gave the girl my woollies till receipt for fuel discount but had only spent 28 dollars apparently l needed to spend in excess of 30 dollars which l would have done easily had woollies had everything l wanted but rules are rules and l missed out not to happy but the girls in petrol station made me feel better with good customer relations which Woollies didn't deserve.

  • Brisbane Reviewer

A good local shopping centre that seems to have most places you would need for basic shopping needs, including a fairly modern Woolworths, Aldi, Supercheap, BWS, Terry White Chemists, First Choice liquor and some eateries like Hungry Jack's. Parking has never been an issue here when i have visited, as there is ample throughout the complex - disability spaces seem to be fairly minimal though and are often at capacity.

  • Andrea De Vere

The individual shops inside are great so this review is for the centre only. The toilets near Woolworths have been closed for at least a month. It doesn't seem the management/owners are spending any money on the upkeep of the centre as there are several cracked concrete parking boundaries. Centre management/owner needs to put money back in the centre and upgrade. I mainly go to Brookside centre now due to this.

  • Ian

It's convenient for First Choice, Woolworths, and some speciality stores but now lacks a bakery and a dry cleaner. Then mix of shops is an issue to make it a one stop shopping centre to visit. I also find the food take away options limited and uninspiring. If you need one of the stores and are close it is fine but as a destination, it is lacking.

  • Sandra P

Once again at the end of the day we called in to pick up a few things from Woolies.. and once again we were greeted the most appalling stench. It is at the entrance near the bookshop and is quite disgusting. I believe it may be the cleaners washing the floor with a dirty mop? Has happened before and after complaint the smell disappeared.

  • Martin Witchard

Better than average local shopping centre and now has Bunnings next door. What more could you want? Parking is relatively easy and there are several allied medical facilities in the complex. I have marked it down a star because with the recent redevelopment the bicycle racks were not reinstated despite assurances from the owners.

  • Amin Kazemi

This centre is always good. From restaurants to groceries and other things. You can fuel up your car, eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, enjoy the pub, buy some drinks, prepare for fishing and camping, do your hair, post your parcel and so on. This centre has provided all in one place with plenty of car parks.

  • Sally Empson

Has most of what you need there's a chemist, Woolies, a newsagent plus a few specialty stores. Out side of the centre there's a fruit & veg shop, which has really nice produce. There's a butcher included too, which is also good. The Reject shop, Aldi, Supercheap, plus a few more shops are also outside.

  • Linda McAuliffe

Has pretty well everything we need in a shopping cantre without the crowds. Woolworths & all the main smaller stores to keep the community happy & plenty of parking around the centre. An added bonus is the row of restaurants/cafes/takeaway places with a popular Irish pub & major liquor outlet.

  • Daniel Friend (friendie)

Small but effective. Has woolies, best, tobacco shop, clothing stores, a few cafes, fruit shop post office, Aldi, bcf, super cheap auto, pool shop, reject shop. And a few others. Good place to go for nearly anything. Bunnings, KFC and 711 and Taco bell has just been put in close by

  • Jared Clark

Supa Fruita and Chop Shop make the stupid exit/entry setup to this place the go-to for a grocery shop. Unfortunately, it has a 1st Choice, but Dan Murphy's at The Gap is about 10 mins away. Once the Bunnings drops in next door, this place will have most of what I need on weekends.

  • AkiraZ631

Has just about everything you need for shopping. Groceries,petshop,doctors,boating-camping-fishing,takeaway,restaurants and more. Parking in front of Woolworths is a bit tight though. But it's missing a toy shop or games store. That would be an awesome addition to the store list.

  • Rachid Ghariss

This is a great shopping center with plenty of parking available, almost everything you need is there, shops, takeaways, doctors, camping gear, pub, petrol...etc. From carpark you have a beautiful view of Samford hills. Really enjoyable area to do shopping at.

  • Mark Higgins

Such a great little local place with always friendly and helpful staff. They often have some things that can be hard to find in other greengrocers (like hominy and dried ancho chilli for proper Mexican cooking) in their deli etc too. Well worth a visit.

  • Leanne Fysh

Ok, pretty usual, takeaway display was Full of packaging material, looks bad guy's, sad looking shop, burgers were good tho, not brilliant but I'd go there if passing & wanted a burger. Didn't use anything else here, waited until Warner instead

  • Mark Brian

Continuance particle for people in the Area out in ferny Grove it’s good to see Variety in super century for every day shopping and great coffee shops that’s the convenience having a garage it’s a big difference you can fuel up go

  • royston rodrigues

I took my sons school shoes in and though the gentleman was a bit reluctant he agreed to mend a fairly tricky tear as best effort. Did such a great job in the end and it only cost $20. This will get us through to school holidays.

  • Djaryd Ashley

Woolworths, chemist, newsagent, tobacconist, Aldi, supercheap auto, reject shop, petrol station, and several takeaway/restaurant options. The carpark is quite terrible, but usually not difficult to find a space.

  • Danny Bennett

Limited shopping. 2 supermarkets. Bws and liquor land. Professional suites and several food outlets but much smaller scale compared to brookside and Stafford shopping centres. Great coffee at pepper and salt.

  • Hannah McDonald

Could be better with great cafes and stores. Good basics for a local shopping centre but I'd love a better variety of cafe's with healthy freshly made food for reasonable prices. The cafe there is overpriced.

  • An Coveos

Great scenic location nestled by hills Allround, this shopping Centre is very pleasant to shop in with nice attractive layout and variety. It's a unique place with great dining options too.

  • Danielle Barty

Good selection of shops- everything one needs. Car park is just getting so much worse. They dont have any where near enough parking, disabled parking or safe pram parking. Handy spot.

  • G LANG

This Centre has good parking and good choice of stores Aldi and Woolworths not many good cafes but there are a few eating places and a good Rivers outlet there which is well stocked

  • Maurice Serico

A convenient, single level, sprawling shopping centre where you can get everything except for white goods and furniture. The shopkeepers are very friendly. Lots of car parking.

  • Jamie Hay

I find it useful that it has a great fruit and vege shop, butchers, also and woodies all in the one location. The greengrocer is also a good deli and specialty food store.

  • Martin Gough

You have woolies and Aldi, news agency, post office, toilets,bc, super cheap autos, reject shop, pet shop, jewelry, chemist, subways Drs, dentists etc etc and notice board

  • Virginia Smith

Public transport is always an issue at the shopping centre. Buses are the most reliable form of Public transport and if you are prepared to wait, you won't be stressed.

  • Nk Hnd

Plenty of shops to explore, photo added. It also has a servo in the centre. With very Easy parking for all. It also has a super cheap. Tyre place and many other stores.

  • Vivianne Kay

very spread out with lots of major shops like Aldi, Woolworths, BCF and SuperCheap Auto. Food shops in separate area and good options. Good parking most of the time.

  • David Marshall

Another shopping complex that is spread over a huge area with not much thought about parking. Saw a delivery truck struggling to navigate the carpark trying to exit

  • Teresa Brazil

I really appreciate the variety of shops. You can enjoy a great coffee ☕ after shopping and afterwards you can browse at your convenience Fun fun fun …

  • Coral-Lee Bamford

Good range of shops and medical access. Love their parent room as there is a play area, private feeding room and toilet that can fit your trolley or pram.

  • Ornella

Not enough parking, difficult to pop in and out. Centre itself is clean and tidy, Woolies and a number of specialty stores make it a nice little centre.

  • Heeni Rongo

Great shopping area, has all usual shops & amenities, however not all disabled parking areas are set up well with ramps to acess foot path safely.

  • Alisdair Paterson

For local shopping, there is a good enough variety of shops to cater most needs. With the bunnings opening soon it will only become more popular.

  • James Kelly

Badly outdated, not enough selection. The Woolworths is terrible. Was hoping it would be bulldozed and a new better precinct built in its place.

  • Donna Beattie

Staff at terry white were great. Making sure everyone was being looked after. Erin was very caring. Thanks for your service from my family.

  • William Michell

Yeah just great little center. Clean and no hassle finding a park. Few different friendly stores. Exactly what you'd want in a local shops.

  • Lexi Preston

Shops spread out over a big area. The public bathrooms were terrible. Both male and female. My partner came out of the males freaking out.

  • BJW

2 bottle shops, near a KFC, Bunnings, 2 petrol stations, many medical places & good local eating places. Car park can be a bit of a pain.

  • Jonas Teixeira (Jovalhe)

Got all you need for the week. Parking is easy. Just one exit away from the carpark, a bit of a drive around to get back to Samford Rd.

  • Beatrice T

Layout is dominated by car parking. It needs more cosy spaces. Good variety of shops and value. A couple of nice cafes to eat.

  • Wayne Amber

Not a lot of verity for such a big centre... parking ok, next to no one uses an indicator.......... good for a quick shop.

  • Carole Rooney

Really good suburban shopping centre. Nice to see the range of eateries nearby too, as the centre itself is a bit limited

  • Michael Phipps

Great pub food delivered to the table using just an app. Make sure you order the cauliflower for entree - just yum
