Gosh such a tiny cafe! The tea and coffee are great, and a lovely range of baked goods, but not somewhere to sit and relax - the tiny tables were v squashed together and didn't make it a pleasant experience. It would be better for this to be a straight bakery without the chairs or at least take out a few tables!

Every single time I go in here the same lady overcharges me. I understand mistakes get made, but this many times? Am I being purposefully scammed? Or is this person that negligent? Giving it two stars as the baked goods are fine but c’mon. Leave smoking a fat cone to the end of the shift maybe, idk

Same product has increased in price nearly 3x in less than a year. I keep noticing that prices keep changing every other month. Other businesses also struggle with increased energy bills but I don’t know any other that does this. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Disappointing.

What's not to like? Great bread, cakes, pastries, jams, coffee, hot chocolate with option for no dairy. Great quality. You might pay a little more but this is not Asda. Good service as well. They once let me off paying and i paid a few days later. I just wished they close one hour later

Great little chain which you can always rely on if you are looking for a quick bite to eat. Pastries are lovely, staff welcoming and the smell of freshly baked goods is always a positive. Please give GAIL’s a taste and don’t be intimidated by the line up…it moves super fast! …

Gail's has delicious fresh bread and rolls. They make great small burgers and sausage rolls. Great place for a quick bite to eat or to sit down for a coffee. We aware that it gets quite busy during the middle of the day and after school. Service is fast and friendly.

Ordered an Oat Latte for takeaway. I thought this branch is much better than the one at West Hampstead, but no!!! The staffs were rude! Come on, it’s early in the morning SMile!!! It’s kind of like no enough space inside. Coffee is just right?!?! …

Really good for brunch or breakfast. It gets crowded on the weekends and you have to sit outside, I'm a smoker so I don't care, but if the weather is not good... Sucks! Hahahhahaha. Other than that very friendly service and really good coffee and food.

The coffee is just so so so so so bad. I don't really understand it. This is an expensive chain outlet in a good area. Why is the coffee worse than Starbucks? Surely you should sample the coffee every now and then or have some sort of quality control?

Very lovely place with a great selection of pastries, sandwiches and drinks. Tea for 4 took a bit as it's prepared properly so go with that in mind. A washroom would have been great to have to wash hands before eating but all in all a great place.

Standard Gail's. Smaller than some. Had some original treats on show that looked like they were worth a try (pistachio, lemon and rose cake). We bought hot cross buns. Staff were kind. Loads of types of bread too, including plant based sourdough.

  • Wayne “Lotek” Bennett

Rude staff. Made us feel like we were inconveniencing them by daring to buy something. They were rude to the people behind us too. Wish I didn't buy anything! Had a little salami and pickle roll. To say it was bland was an understatement!

Update July 21: sunny day, not busy, 3 staff and no customers in the interior - coffee ordered, I return to my outside seat. The manageress walks out to tell me that my coffee is ready to collect. Must remember never to tip in future IF I

A very busy Gails surrounded by many other bakeries & restaurants a short walk to Hampstead Heath. Only criticism…there is no toilet!!! When I asked for the loo a Gail employee sent me across the road to another bakery and they were not

Baked goods almost always great. However, the almond croissant I ordered once was hard, made me think it was an old one mixed up with the rest. And once the smoked salmon roll was hard too, I had to take it home to microwave... Won't be

STAFF NOT COLLABORATIVE AND FLEXIBLE. After displaying a royal paper card filled with all the stamps, the Staff wasn't kind enough to give me the free coffee that I was technically entitled. Because Gail's doesn’t use these paper cards

Bought a cinnamon roll for take-away from this branch of Gail’s today. While it was nice and tasty after I’ve heated it up at home, it wouldn’t have been half as nice cold. Any cinnamon roll is delicious, in my opinion, but this one

Excellent, I had 3 different things, Harrisa chicken sandwich, borek and a delicious cinnamon and apple cake all lovely.. The coffee was really good too. It's just a shame there's limited seating otherwise I'd go more often.

  • Noona Bunsena

The staffs are rude not smelling moody no thank you or anything even I said thank you I have been in lots of Gail’s branches this one Staffs unfriendly been here 3 time’s always moody staffs.

  • Louay A

I've had the latte here several times .. it's consistently nice. The Feta & Dill Escargot is also good ... downside is that some of the staff is neither warm nor welcoming, a turn off for me.

Unlike other branches and chains this Gail’s bakery never bothers to update its online deliveroo menu when it runs out of items (other places update and grey out unavailable menu items).

  • sarah Bray

Perfect location if you are visiting the Royal free hospital. Had a lovely hot chocolate and blueberry muffin, cost was very reasonable for London, staff pleasant, bakery nice and clean.

  • Olja

Bad coffee, stinky attitude. Gail’s is winning at this location only because there’s no McDonald’s nearby since their coffee is so bad, it equals something from the fast food chain. The

Great trio to Gail's in the sun today and had an ice Americano. Was super yum and great seating outdoors. The baked goods smelt amazing and I saw alot of people enjoying them.

  • C F

Excellent little chain, and this branch has some nice (though very limited) seating. Had the reverse chocolate chunk cookie which is one of my favourite Gail’s products.

  • cedric harper

Bought two cakes at the weekend. Attempted to eat them when we got home but they were so dry they ended up in the bin. Disappointing and a total waste of good money!

  • Jonathan Viljoen

Always a pleasure to come here... small but perfectly formed! Nothing beat there freshly baked goods. The outside space is lovely on a sunny day...

  • Annie Gladding

What a delicious and unexpected find! We had several baked goods for take away. The savory scones were unbelievable! We will definitely come back.

  • Lewis

Tends to be a bit busy as there is no much seating indoors but the high quality bread, pastries, cakes (did I mention scones?) are worth the wait.

  • Mihai Adrian Irimia

Amazing flat white to kick you up for the day, delicious soho buns as well, sorry, eat them too quickly to take a picture. Great refurbished #1!

  • Andy Snarski

A family and a pet friendly coffee/ bakery. A tasty coffee with your favourite pastry/ cake. Highly recommended when you're in Hampstead Heath.

  • Lara's adventure!

I love gails! Always delicious! The feta and spinach rolls are my favourite but everything is delicious and everything is a must try!

  • Tomás Alberto Chang Pico

Very fresh, fast and kind service. The sausage roll is to die for: juicy filling, crunchy pastry, so tasty and scrumptious.

  • Bazilio Ochen

I love going here when I am not dieting the bread and cakes are amazing and the hot drinks are great too!

  • Vishal Mendiratta

Americano was meh. Mocha was bleh. Food was acceptable. Like any other decent cafe can offer.

  • Pranjali Nemade

Perfect spot for a coffee break and people watching on the Hampstead high street.

  • Matthew B-L

Outdoor tables super wobbly and not cleared enough. Otherwise a normal Gail’s.

  • Matthew

It's too cramped to use, a big queue of people. Too small for comfort.

  • Joey Edelstein

Fantastic baked goods. Only downside is limited indoor seating

  • Dr. Sugna D Prabhu

Quality bakes, never fails to put a smile on my face.
