I went to the men's store looking for pants that are more boxy and less curvy. Once I was able to communicate that, the woman working there today (Sunday) was wonderful. I could have even waited for her to bring me more sizes, but I still feel weird about getting that level of service So I just grabbed some myself while she was serving someone else at the cash. She was really sorry she was busy though, which made me feel weirder. But in a good way, you know? I still needed to go to the women's store for shirts, but there were enough basic shirts in stock that I was able to find something that fit my style. The pants won't work if you don't like a little extra room for... y'know, extra equipment. But for me it was a-ok. Plus, it was super validating to hear the clerk say "yeah, the Amelia pant would've been more curvy." She got exactly what I was going for. I think it's safe for me to like shopping now
A warm and inviting atmosphere. This place is a must-visit. What sets this local store apart is their commitment to providing comfortable, beautiful, sustainable, and ethical clothing. As a person who often struggles to find designs that suit me well, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this store had a variety of options to cater to different body types, including larger sizes. I appreciated how their clothing was both fashionable and flattering, highlighting my best features. It's refreshing to see a clothing retailer taking responsibility for their environmental impact. Their sustainable materials and manufacturing processes give me peace of mind that I am supporting a brand that aligns with my values.
This downtown space for Frank & Oak is absolutely gorgeous. They took 3 different businesses and combined it into one unit, and they created something special. Each floor represents a different part of their collection. You'll find a food and drink station on the lower level, a barber shop on the middle level, and a bar-type space on the top level. The store always seems to be well-staffed with friendly and helpful people. It's an overall great experience for first timer customer to the Hunt Club members (those who opt-in to a monthly subscription-type service with F&O) who look forward to the new collection every month. It's definitely worth a visit to Montreal's hottest men's clothing startup.
Avoid at all cost! I’m a big fan of frank and oak but I always try to avoid this downtown store (I much prefer the one in mile end). I thought perhaps it was a single bad experience but the last few times I’ve visited, the young blonde lady is so rude and lacks professionalism. She follows us around the store while we politely answer her questions then when we tell her (again) that we are not looking for anything specific but rather just browsing, she had the guts to say “I know, I heard the first time. You don’t need to repeat” like what?! I’m shocked at this poor customer service. Disappointing from frank & oak.
It was a bad experience for having my hair cut here. I made an appointment before, but then I waited there about 45 minutes without being asked (what’s the point for making an appointment if I still have to wait such a long time??). After that I told them my appointment was at 2:30 and I was still waiting, and they told me that my hairdresser made a mistake with the other guy. But that hairdresser did not even say a sorry, which made me feel really bad.So I just cancelled the appointment and left;(
I went for a purchase today and while completing my transaction the lady and the man at the cash desk were extremely rude and unprofessional. There was an issue with the transaction from their end because their machine was not working properly and made me wait for more than 30 min. When I asked how much time will this take the lady replied very rudely saying "I dont know" in a very rude way. I called my bank and asked them to cancel the transaction right away and returned the item on the spot.
We bought a nice coat from there but noticed the next day the pocket was ripped. They were nice when we bought the coat, but less so when we returned the next day and brought up howthe jacket was damaged. They exchanged the coat for another one but it seemed used. We asked them if it was and they responded that it wasn't but was from the backstore. When we got home, we realized the tag had been ripped off. Probably a return, and we did not appreciate the customer service.
Went there for a haircut for the first time, Barbour was very friendly and the environment just make the experience much more comforting. Will definitely return and make an effort for this place to be my regular for haircuts and they are very knowledgeable about all kinds of hairstyles. They also have clothes and shoes on multiple floors so even if you have to wait for a bit for your cut, there's something to occupy you and the selection is vast. Would highly recommend
I am normally timid and unsure while shopping for clothes, this time was not the case. Megan was a godsend. She spent almost an hour with me finding exactly what I had set out to buy. She made me feel comfortable and confident. Her knowledge was expansive. She even dresses a certain way to work every day with the customers in mind - styling pieces that most people are unsure about. All of the clothing is amazing quality , well worth the price. Thank you so much!
Started off as a mail in crate experience but has grown with stores across the country. Only thing that bothers me is the consistency in their products. They will change material and designs so make sure you try before you buy. I've been buying the same pair of jeans for years but they never felt the same with each pair. But good service and pretty sweet shop!
First of all, 15/10 customer service! The store manager for this location is the kindest most fun and helpful person ever. Their clothes are so nice. Sustainably resourced They use so much recycled/recyclable materials for their packaging and garments Cruelty free animal materials 100% of the water used to make the jeans is recycled Like I could go on and on
They were super helpful as I tried to pick out a shirt for my dad's birthday. Then, when it turned out my sister had already organized gifts for my dad, they were very kind when I came to return the items I had gotten for me father. They may be a bit fancy for my dad's speed. Honestly though, the service is great and their clothes are extremely nice.
Expérience décevante chez ce magasin. J'ai demandé un simple changement de taille pour mes vêtements, mais le personnel a refusé de le faire. Le service à la clientèle laisse vraiment à désirer, et je suis déçu de leur attitude peu accommodante."
We live in Vancouver and are huge fans of the brand. We couldn’t wait to see the Montreal locations, the fact that they were founded there made us expect a flagship store of some kind. But boy that was underwhelming… so unimpressed. No comments.
One of my favorites store every time I go I get the best service. I recommenced so many friends but I definitely go there for the service and if I compare it to the frank and oak in Brossard it’s a whole different service
Went hear for a haircut and beard trim when travelling - really great service.; Sharp haircut, classic professional beard trim and super warm and friendly service. Well recommended. I saw Raul - great guy.
I went to the women's store and received exceptional service! The salespeople were extremely helpful, kind and not at all pushy. I can't wait to go back and shop again :)
Wife was happy as they have clothes in here that aren’t in the other outlets they have. Me, well, not so much as no men’s clothing, so they lost out on a few bucks…
Best service. Useful + knowledgeable staff, frank advice, great sense of style. I recommend this store to everyone. Keep the good work guys!
The fits aren’t perfect for every body. But when it looks nice it does. Affordable, and Montreal based.
Amazing staff at this boutique. Magdalina and her crew brings customer experience to an other level.
I bought myself a wonderful winter alpine parka, which I am satisfied with, the store is good ☺
Great clothes, great quality and great price. Definitely a shopping trifecta.
Coffee shop inside is one of the best in the city, edit coffee shop closed..
Really nice location. Better go there than at the Saint-Viateur one.
Don't know what the hype is about. Expensive and unexceptional.
