"A great place to check out in the winter, and a not so hidden secret swimming hole for the hot summer days"
"Haven't actually seen the ice caves in winter yet but have done the loop from the visitor centre a few times"
"Visited with a Beavers group"
"What used to be a relatively quite secret of the neighborhood kids in the 80's and 90's is now exposed via a paved pathway which makes this place a lot busier then it used to be"
"Tried to find the ice caves by Google maps directions but took us to a housing estate, tried by walking but still nothing when it said we had reached our destination"
A great place to check out in the winter, and a not so hidden secret swimming hole for the hot summer days. Can be very busy and crowded with people using marijuana and drinking heavily on weekends in the summer, but the rocks and naturally deep pool at the bottom offer a great place to have fun and cool off. Typically you see a variety of ages from young families with little babies to grandparents bringing their grandkids, it is mostly older teens and young adults in the late afternoon early evening Friday through Sunday however
Haven't actually seen the ice caves in winter yet but have done the loop from the visitor centre a few times. Plenty of parking, toilet facilities at the visitor centre, flat and easy walk to follow. Bow Valley Ranche restaurant and a small place selling drinks, ice cream e.t.c. I cannot rate these as I have not tried them yet. A downside can be that plenty of cyclists think the pathway is just for them, so you do have to watch out for bikes. Plenty to look at on the walk and easy for children.

Visited with a Beavers group. We missed the timing for solid enough ice to cross to the ice caves & big rock from the North side, but still got in a nice walk and played at the dry cave at the lookout spot.

What used to be a relatively quite secret of the neighborhood kids in the 80's and 90's is now exposed via a paved pathway which makes this place a lot busier then it used to be. Reasonably good swimming hole in the summer and still one of the cooler erratic's in Alberta.
Tried to find the ice caves by Google maps directions but took us to a housing estate, tried by walking but still nothing when it said we had reached our destination. Does it actually exist?

Great little swimming hole and a rock to jump off of . Has a little cave to take cover from rain or need shade . If you go above the rock jump .up the mountain there is a great look out for the valley . And a place to get away from the kids
Do NOT park on Sun Valley Drive SE. it is a BUSY residential collector road. Use the Fish Creek designated parking areas from Sun Valley Blvd at Sikome Road. It is clearly marked in both directions as an entrance to the park.
In winter, if you want to get in front of the cave, make sure to turn right BEFORE the bridge. Otherwise you just go to a view point above the caves and it's hard to get down from there when it's icy.
Great little spot in winter. It’s a short walk from the parking lot over to the caves. Really neat in winter. Happy to see it had not been destroyed by people throwing rocks or kicking at the ice.
Cant find a peaceful place to sit around here. Because too many people are partying and leaving garbage around. Teenagers are gathering in massive groups damaging the natural beauty of this place
Nice to see in the summer but even better in the winter when it is all icy. Nice easy walk from the Bow Ranche parking lot south to the bridge and then west on the north side of creek.
The river was crunchy and didn’t trust walking on it. The frozen “water fall” was very dirty

Sometimes busy, people have been leaving more garbage lately, there has not been very much enforcement of park regulations. Overall nice spot for a quick trip and dip in the creek.
Such a beautiful little spot to visit when it's cold or hot out. My favourite thing about Calgary is Fish Creek Park and all the hidden gems there
It looks like a popular place for the teenagers to going swimming in the summer. The trails around the ice cave are fun to explore.
This is the most convenient and timely supermarket where we can purchase any food or goods. Also, everything was well-organized. .
Great place to take the kids to cool off. Nice that Annies Ice-cream is right there too so you can get ice-cream on the way out

Lots of hidden trails to discover. The park is a lot bigger than you think and easily accessible from within the city.
Nice easy winter go and see.

This place is best seen in winter time but it depends solely to the person enjoying the place.
A short easy walk from Fish Creek Provincial Park Visitor Centre! Great ice falls and caves
Small cave, not very good acoustics, but the frozen waterfall beside it is pretty!
Awesome and amazing this little gem in right in the heart of our beautiful city
Beautiful place, nice in the summer as well to swim in this location
Great (quick/short) destination for families with very young kids!
It was a nice spot. The trails are extremely slushy and slippery.
It is nice to find such cave and ice falls inside city limits
